I don't think Tezcatlipoca can even be a Grand? Didn't Orion say he refused immortality because he felt he had to stay human for something in the future or something like that?

Also since Grands only show up in response to Beasts I guess we're skipping two or three? Since III and VI don't count, and IV... ?

Or they can take the Orion approach and have a Grand show up to do something else. The "manifested in response to a Beast" clause can always be handwaved with "Fou is right there". Silly and disappointing? Yes. The kind of rulesharking this franchise has always ran on? Also yes.

Huh. Was Fou why Orion appeared? I figured there was a Beast in Olympus.

Not rly. Gramps was in Camelot and there was no Beast in that place. Tiamat was in Babylonia and Goetia was in the time temple. We knew fox is planning Beast and is in Olympus, but it can be another Beast or Orion is just like gramps and appeared in the wrong place. It sounds like a red herring to me tbh.

Like I said we already knew fox is there, so what's the point of bringing it up again if Orion's target is fox?

Maybe I'm just sick of Nasu's 1001 times of fox beast hints that I'm allergic to those, but I hope it turns out to be another Beast and not fox.

What Orion said felt way too in-your-face to mean anything other than "something's up there on olympus", so I'm definitely expecting a grand to some extent, or if not that, I guess we'll be getting some more info on how grands operate.

Depends on whether they're actually making Quirinus into literally Romulus' divine self or not. If Quirinus is a different deity fusing by syncretism then it's the same as Scathach=Skadi. I actually don't know if they call Skadi a Pseudo but it's just as bad to me, regardless of the correct terminology.
Honestly, even if it is him as a god, I don't him to be a Grand. Grands should be Heroic Spirits only, no technicalities.

But I agree, I don't think he's a Grand.

Honestly, I am fine with making Romulus a Grand. It is quite obvious that they are doing this because they messed up the first time, so a little reparation is okay.
