But they are. This is a real thing that Nasu is pulling from. Japanese Syncretism is a huge thing that has been going on for centuries.
Amaterasu is Vairocana who is also Dakini who is Inari etc.

I am actually against syncretism in that case as the Shinto Lore iss majorily consistent of its antique state so do i find there should be if any justt superficial syncretism as we have enough lore without being forced to use syncretism to fill lore or plotholes ..

I am of the opposite opinion. Syncretism is extremely fascinating. I mean, this even happens in Western religions.
Aphrodite is Venus who is Ishtar who is Astarte who is Inanna.

God Himself is based on a bunch of syncretism too.

actually is syncretism either a form of try to understand forreign cults and a sort mix like there are several japaneses budists which are practise a shinto budism and the Romans had their own style with Interpreditio Romanae . Also did i read that before the Sasasanids did made a religious reform were during parthian times several syncretistic sects of Zoroastrianic groups which had a mixture of beliefs(ystems) like with either Roano-Hellenic or with Mesopothamian ancient religion in it .

about Monotheisitic Religions is their bad habit to at one side degrade and ridicule the Gods of other beliefsystems and that they are position their own God above the others where they are treat the name of other Gods as the of their own one like the of the Israelitic or Islamic God as they are in my oppinion actually were some other Gods of the previous Godsworld but even in polytheistic faiths like the Romanic or Babylonian where Marduk had 50 names of minor deities or that there are numerious epitaphs of Jupiter which were presumably some other Gods of the italic peoples that after the Romans Conquered the whole peninsular where included in the State Religion of Rome where Jupiter where the Highest Deity .

there is also a a Term which is called Henotheism or Monolatri which as example is either that one God will be placed over the other for a certain time but without to denying the status of otherGods like as example the famous Ruler Aurelian the Restore of the World did introduce the cult of Sol Invictus where a Henotheist which means that he actively worshipped only one but didint denied the other Gods .

and honerstly i am rather polytheistic myself in that i find the existences of several Gods more plausible and that if anyone is interested in the intwellectual fight of such matter should take a look at Celsus as example.

I can't claim to know why Nasu is doing it but at most I can speculate it's his unique attempt to explain how various random religions can exist as real things in the same world and their very much real gods can govern the same thing. If they are the same person then...

Something has been wrong with the groups for a while Koga. I can add pictures to my group either even at the correct size. You are probably better taking this to the Site Issues Thread.

I haven't outright checked, but I'm almost certain the problem would be that groups have generally just been a horrid pain for the board to handle, and we've disabled the vast part of their features. I strongly recommend just using an image host like imgur and showing off images that way instead.

Do you have any ideas related to giants/jotunn’s/Gigantes? My personal headcanon is that the giants where allowed to stay despite being pieces of Sefar due to working to suppress and contest against the gods. What are your personal headcanon’s regarding the giants?

No that wont work they rae seperate persns and beings you cant do this as each one has their own catalyst that would determine that at the start , you would if any be a skilled mage in specialised Thaumaturgy to make that work by an elaborate and complicated spell that modifies the summoning spell but i gues that fr such a specific feat the Mage in question would havebe a in summoning spells or ritualcraft specialised or extraordinary talented Mage and i think given when one Mage could get his hands on aa catalyst to summon a Goddess potencially would that preperation be rather unpractical as Aphrodite has herself some WAr Goddess aspects so would it be more practical to try to specify the summoning spell to try to specify the part of the War Goddess as example .

in my are they a specific Phantasmal Species abd that they are differeng like in that as example the Nordic Hrimthursen which first bborn individial Ymir is are Divine Beings whichs powers are on par with the Nordic Gods with obvious variation per individual so is Ymir far the most powerfull Hrimthursen as the first as he is a embodiment of the World and a true primordial Being which i find is akin to a deity . During other Hrimthursen were much weaker but had the inner potencial to. As Ymir were so powerfull that Odin and his Brothers used his Body to create the World in other words used his powers . About the Jotun and Thyrs are they also a species but over the time did they were increasingly simmilar to the Element which created them .

the Giganttes were presumably a own Generation of Gods in a sense ,like the Titans which were before the Rheanids took power were the Ruling Gods that ruled over the Humans of the Golden Age .

About the Giants of other mythologies must i more research though.

Worth noting that some theorize that Ymir and velber are one in the same and that Odin made the valkyries out of the velber.

Also worth noting that the Norse gods and jotunn surprisingly got along, they intermingled and intermarried, Loki is even half god and half giant.

I don't have any "headcanons" about Giants, but I do dislike Sefar and I would greatly prefer that it be kept as far away from other mythologies as possible.
