Servant Class: Saver
Alternate Classes: Rider, Caster

Origin: Southeast Asia (12th century CE)

LUCK: A

Skills
Class Skills

Counter-Hero - Rank E: A Skill that reduces the parameters of the statistics of "heroes" that the Servant faces in combat. It is featured as a Class Skill of the Saver Class.
As Saver is an entirely terrestrial savior that abandoned his pursuit of spiritual enlightenment in order to save his people, his rank in this Skill is low. He reduces the parameters of opponents by one rank. With a successful Luck check on his opponent’s part, this reduction is negated.

Charisma - Rank B: A composite Skill consisting of a person's charm as well as the natural talent to command or unify an army or country. Increases the ability of allies during group battles. A rare talent, and an ability inherent to Servants of the Saver class.
Charisma sufficient to lead a nation as its king. Despite having abandoned his duties in the past, Saver

Personal Skills

Enlightenment of the Sacred Fig - Rank B+: A Skill that renders protection to one who has reached "the Truth of the World" or "the Answer of Humanity" - a Protection Against Purging that marks the Servant as a "Protector of the World."
Replacing the Divinity of his forebears, Saver was hailed as a Boddhisattva-King rather than a God-King. It is said that despite being well on the road to enlightenment, he turned his back on that path in order to bring salvation to his people in their hour of need. The damage dealt by physical attacks, conceptual attacks, and interdimensional attacks by a value equivalent to half of the Servant's remaining health. This Skill also shuts out the probability of mental interference by 100%.

Weak Constitution - Rank A+: A weakness struck by the nature of frail health. Similar in nature to Innocent Monster, where the perception of the people in the future affects the existence of the Heroic Spirit.
Though he is not recorded as suffering from any specific illness, it is said that Saver took the ailments and suffering of his people to bear for his own. In accordance with his legend, Saver’s allies in the field benefit from a large amount of damage resistance while in his presence. However, whenever this damage resistance comes into action, Saver automatically receives a drop in status.

Protection of the Compassionate Buddha - Rank B: Protection received from Avalokiteśvara, the Bodhisattva embodying the compassion of all Buddhas. As it is a power that responds to cries for help, it is in essence used only for healing.
Saver benefits from the ability to heal others using magical energy. In addition to this, those struck down by his powerful strikes find their wounds healed, so that they are able to depart the battlefield at his mercy. However, though Saver is compassionate, he will only show mercy towards his enemies once. As such, the wound-negating effect of the Protection of the Compassionate Buddha can only be invoked once per combat.

Noble Phantasms

Temple Body
Prasat Bayon

Anti-Unit (Self), Rank B
A Noble Phantasm that encompasses Saver’s legend as the savior of his people from foreign invaders and defilers. It is constantly active and manifests for him a body more apt for the protection of his people than the old and frail form he inhabited in life. As the Bayon was originally the greatest of the temples Saver built, this Noble Phantasm is an extremely literal interpretation of the phrase “my body is a temple”.
Prasat Bayon renders unto Saver a body built of living stone, with his face bearing a constant serene expression. As the temple serving as the body’s basis was a celebration of his triumph against his people’s enemies, Saver is afforded with a talent for warfare, receiving remarkable Skill with a blade as well as a plus modifier to his physical parameters.
However, Prasat Bayon makes Saver’s manifestation costly in terms of magical energy, as the Noble Phantasm cannot be turned off.

The Capital of Temples
Angkor Wat

Fortress, Rank A++
A Noble Phantasm shared with several other kings of the Khmer Empire. Angkor Wat is the greatest religious monument in the world, and Saver gains access to it thanks to his great restoration project. Rather than the actual structure itself, Saver can only call upon the core of the great temple, and requires a large enough area for it to manifest.
When Angkor Wat is used, the monument and its walls rise from the earth in all their magnificence, providing protection to Saver and his allies. The temple itself benefits not only from the protection of the boddhisattva, but also from countless Apsara spirits that serve as its guardians. Angkor Wat is capable of withstanding attacks up to A++ rank, and can even survive certain EX-ranked attacks while remaining relatively intact. In addition, allied forces within the Noble Phantasm gain a plus modifier to their endurance and constant healing for a minor value.

Description
Likes: Meditation, restoration of art
Dislikes: Violent competition, his current role
Talents: Freedom from desire, his people’s salvation
Natural Enemy: Buddhas

Saver’s true identity is Mahaparamasaugata. In life, however, he was known as Jayavarman VII, the King of Boddhisattva.

Just like the other Khmer kings, Jayavarman prefers to be known by his posthumous name, as a Servant is one that has already died.
Mahaparamasaugata is a serene individual, and acts humble and kind in his dealings. He is a largely neutral and reactive force rather than an active one, interposing himself in the conflicts of others or responding to hostility, but never advancing on his own. This is as close as he can remain to the vow of pacifism that he had to break in order to save his people. Inwardly, however, he is pleased that he has manifested in a combat-worthy role, allowing him to shoulder the burden of battle rather than foisting it onto another.
As Mahaparamasaugata attained salvation for his people in life as he sought to do, he is largely content even as a Servant. While he is not engaged in battle, he finds peaceful places, preferably Buddhist temples, in order to meditate there. Should he be approached, he will offer what advice and guidance he can, even if he should be approached by an enemy. Should he be forced to fight, he will demonstrate his power to his enemies and allow them to depart in peace should they wish so. If pressed, however, he is fully ready to remove a Servant from the Holy Grail War. Even if a Servant’s death is not a true passing as the Heroic Spirit they represent is long dead, Mahaparamasaugata mourns them all the same, grateful that his stony face hides his tears.
Though a king, Mahaparamasaugata has far greater respect for men of spirit and craftsmen than he has for kings and warriors. Regardless of his personal feelings, he treats all Heroic Spirits with equal respect, as he feels that is what is owed to such great figures. He is most drawn to villains and anti-heroes, as he wishes to offer them the chance to embark on a different road than the one they have tread thus far. Mostly due to his life experiences, Mahaparamasaugata has a poor relationship with accomplished Buddhists, as he feels he is a failure in comparison. For the sake of his people, he threw away his pursuit of englightenment, and as such failed those he so looked up to. He hopes that one day he might bridge the rift in his feelings towards Buddhism, but does not think it will happen any time soon.
Though Mahaparamasaugata remains grateful to his Master for summoning him, he cannot with good conscience serve their commands. He outright rejects his role as a Servant vying for the Holy Grail, and sees it as his role to see that the one with the ‘right’ to the Holy Grail should have it. To this end, he will exhaustively explain his thoughts to his Master and hopes they will allow him to act independently, for the good of all. If a Master should be selfish enough to force him to serve nonetheless, Mahaparamasaugata will not turn on them. Instead, his focus will shift on guiding them away from the destructive route they have chosen.
Though he possesses a wish to the Holy Grail, Mahaparamasaugata does not have a desire for the cup itself. He is most concerned that the Holy Grail should not fall into the hands of those who would use it for the wrong purposes.

Lore
Jayavarman VII was born around 1120 or 1125, son of King Dharanindravarman II (r. 1150 -1160) and queen Sri Jayarajacudamani. He married a very religious, strong-minded, and devote princess, Jayarajadevi, who exerted an important influence on him, both before he gained the throne and during the early years of his reign.

He was one of the most forceful and productive kings of the Khmer Empire of Angkor. He expanded the empire to its greatest territorial extent and engaged in a building program that yielded numerous temple, highways, rest houses, and hospitals.
Though practically nothing is known of Jayavarman's childhood and youth, it is clear that during his late 30s and early 40s he settled in the neighboring kingdom of Champa, in what is now the central region of Vietnam.
When his father died, his brother or cousin - Yasovarman - appears to have claimed the throne, in which Jayavarman seems to renounce and to have gone on a voluntary exile to Champa. He left his wife and went to Champa alone.
In 1166 Tribhuvanadityavarman, a court official, usurped the throne of King Yasovarman. When Prince Jayavarman received word of a palace rebellion, he hastened to return to Cambodia - perhaps to support King Yasovarman II or to assert his own rights to the throne. But his was too late. When he arrived, Yasovarman was already dead and the usurper firmly seated on the throne. Jayavarman seemed unwilling to attempt to overthrow Tribhuvanadityavarman by force; instead he decided to remain in his homeland and to await an opportunity to assert his own claim to the throne.
Some 12 years later, when Jayavarman was in his late 50s, that opportunity came as a result of a Cham invasion in 1177, which brought about the demise of Tribhuvanadityavarman, the sacking of Angkor, and its subjection to foreign rule. In this situation Jayavarman organized a struggle for independence and in less than five years he succeeded in driving out the invaders and establishing his hegemony over all his Cambodian rivals.
Finally in 1181, at the age of 61, he was crowned a sole king of Khmer Empire and began a brilliant reign of more than 30 years, during which he brought the empire to its zenith, both in terms of territorial expansion and of royal architecture and construction. Jayavarman VII was a warrior. The greatest military achievement of his reign - perhaps the greatest of the entire history of Cambodia - was the capture and sack of the capital of its rich and powerful neighbor, Champa, in 1190. His military activities also bringing southern Laos, portions of the Malay Peninsula and Burma under his control.
But increasingly he devoted his energies and organizational capacities to the kind of religious and religio-political construction projects that had been carried on by his royal predecessors. He built a large number of awesome new temples, including the Bayon, a distinctively Mahayana Buddhist central pyramid temple designed to serve as the primary locus of the royal cult and also as his own personal mausoleum; personal funerary temples of the Mahayana type, which were dedicated to his mother and father; and a series of provincial temples, which housed reduced replicas of the Royal Buddha. He rebuilt the city of Angkor Thom and rebuilt and extended the system of highways, which radiated outward from the Bayon and the royal palace and reached far into the provinces. In addition, he constructed 121 rest houses along these roads. During his reign, the King built 102 hospitals, which he dispersed throughout his kingdom. These hospitals were built in an attempt to improve the conditions of the King's subjects.
Jayavarman succeeded during his lifetime in creating a legacy that few monarchs in Khmer history have been able to equal. He was more than 90 years old when he died in around 1215.

Notes
Finally made a Saver, though a more material and unorthodox one that is usual. Jayavarman VII manifesting as a Saver is a bit of a stretch, but certainly a possibility if you squint hard enough.

So... how do y'all feel about fanon Sheets for the "Servant Universe"?

I realise that the last Saber Wars event wasn't exactly popular but I've been toying with an idea surrounding an astrological themed Servant and it occured to me that it would fit surprisingly well with the Space Opera theme from said Universe, and so I kinda wanna do it.

Just a suggestion.

Why not post it? We've had alternate versions of canon servants posted here before, even after they were revealed.

Oh don't worry, it's definitely not modern fiction.

Basically it's about a really strange figure from a certain mythology who is difficult to portray as a normal Servant so I figured because of his family's association with stars and space that I might have a go at putting him into the Servant Universe.

Class Skills

Territory Creation - Rank B: A Caster-class Skill. It is the Skill to build a special terrain that is advantageous to oneself as a magus, such as for the purpose of collecting mana.
Though he was not a magus in life, Caster is capable of creating a ‘Sanctuary’ roughly equivalent to a ‘Workshop’. Its efficiency is low compared to the territories of other Casters, but he receives additional benefits should the terrain of his territory be elevated.

Personal Skills

Guardian Spirit (Dreams) - Rank A: A specific type of Guardian Spirit bound to an area of territory. Within this territory, the user is granted the ability to enter and interfere with the dreams of others. While within another’s dream, the user can spy on targets, impart mental interference effects and even attack to cause mental damage.
As Caster also retains a Guardian Spirit’s ability to be unobservable except to those he is contracted with while in his spiritual body, his access to the dreams of others makes him an ideal spy. In life, he steadfastly guarded over a village for centuries, keeping watch over their dreams.

Mana Burst (Heat) - Rank D++: A version of Mana Burst that manifests in the form of heat. When unleashed at a great enough intensity, it can even ignite targets.
Caster’s rank in this Skill is quite low, and he mostly uses it for the sake of defense, particularly against cold damage. However, when his passion is inflamed, he can use it for the sake of ignition, casting his very heart out as a sphere of flame.

Noble Phantasms
Staff of the Mountain God
Laska Ducha Góry

Magecraft, Rank A-
The source of Caster’s class designation and his sole Noble Phantasm. Though this is nothing remarkable on the scale of Noble Phantasms, Laska Ducha Góry originated as a Mystic Code from the Age of Gods, an amulet constructed for the purpose of preserving True Ether. The measure was effective, and the stored energy lasted well into the Middle Ages despite constant degradation. During Caster’s era, Laska Ducha Góry was modified into the shape of a staff, and was built to serve as an archive of magecraft, acting as a Magic Crest for the dormant god of the mountain Caster was created to protect.
Laska Ducha Góry allows Caster to simulate magecraft from the Age of Gods, though the end result behaves more like supercharged magecraft. The miracles contained within its workings mostly relate to the manipulation of the earth and air elements. As the reserves of True Ether within the staff lasted for several centuries they are more than enough for the purpose of a Holy Grail War.
However, at the cost of permanently reducing the strength of his magecraft, Caster can invoke the Noble Phantasm’s True Name and unleash spectacular displays of magic. When used for such a purpose, Laska Ducha Góry becomes capable of elemental magecraft on the level of permanently shaping the landscape, such as by raising entire mountains or creating city-sized gorges. However, even a single use of such spectacular power vastly lowers the staff’s efficiency for regular magecraft. A rough approximation of its reserves would be that Caster is capable of ten large-scale acts of magecraft before his power reserves run out and he is left unable to use magecraft altogether.

Description
Likes: Mountain hiking, nice dreams
Dislikes: Being feared, housefires
Talents: Keeping roads clear, keeping guard
Natural Enemy: Rübezahl

Caster’s true identity is Wologór, the Guardian Spirit of Ox Mountain.

One of the Guardian Spirits bound to the Karkonosze Mountains. As a guardian of humans, Wologór is steadfast and dutiful, seeming the strong, silent type. However, his lack of communication is actually because he has forgotten the skills necessary for such a thing, having lived on his own for centuries and lost most of his human memories. In fact, he quite enjoys the company of others, even if he does not necessarily speak to them.
In his role as a Guardian Spirit of dreams, Wologór as a guardian against the terrors of the night, while also getting to interact with people. As such, he prefers to spend his free time roaming the dreams of men. As he is quite curious by nature, he can attain a great wealth of information through his dreamwalking. Wologór does not like the idea of attacking another in their sleep, but might relent if the situation is dire enough or if the target is too dangerous to be engaged otherwise.
Wologór does not have a particular opinion on other Heroic Spirits. He offers respect towards those with similar duties as his, and has a dislike of pranksters and those who torment others for their own amusement. He also has an eye for pretty women, though he appears to act bashfully towards them, avoiding direct confrontation. This may stem from his poor experiences with wooing a certain woman, which ended with Wologór himself heartbroken and the woman’s house in flames.
Wologór is a silent companion to his Master, though he may offer a word or two from time to time. He serves the righteous loyally, but has a tendency to leave in order to sulk if ordered to do something distasteful. Should his Master be a woman, things would likely get awkward between them and Wologór.
Wologór’s wish to the Holy Grail is to regain his lost memories as a human. This is not out of a desire to turn back to who he once was, as he has long since forgotten even his original name. He is simply curious as to who he used to be while alive, and wishes to compare his achievements then to his legend as Wologór.

Lore
Wologór is a character from local tales and legends near Wołowa Góra (Ox Mountain) located in the Karkonosze mountain range, region of Lower Silesia in south-western Poland.
He was a Guardian Spirit, believed to be one of helpers of the Mountain Spirit of the Karkonosze. Legends about the Mountain Spirit of Karkonosze are shared in Polish, Czech and German folk legends, where he is usually called Liczyrzepa, Krakonoš or Rübezahl respectively. In the Polish legends apart from the popular name of Liczyrzepa, also names of Duch Gór (Mountain Spirit), Karkonosz, Rzepiór or Rzepolicz are used in various Silesian regions.
Wologór has a task of guarding the small region near Wołowa Góra (which according to local tales was named after him), and reporting the situation to the Mountain Spirit.
His job as a Guardian Spirit was to make sure that everything worked in order and the people living nearby stayed safe and respected the local nature. Sometimes he would help the locals or show a way to lost travelers. Local stories tell about occasions where he helped the inhabitants to hide from bandits raiding the villages by covering an entrance to a cave with his magic, or when he used his staff to melt snow and make safe passages through the woods during harsh winters. He only appeared to locals in their dreams, letting them know who gave them a helping hand.
One of the local legends say that Wologór once fell in love with a girl named Maria and started seducing her in her dreams. However, she already had a man she loved and was always rejecting Wologór’s advances in the dreams. He didn’t want to give her up and one night decided to appear in her home in person. He came burning so much with love, that a spark fell out of his heart and it set Maria’s house on fire. Everyone thankfully survived, and Wologór understood his great mistake. He helped to rebuild the house and decided not to intervene in human lives. Maria got married to her beloved man, and Wologó sunk deeper into his solitude.
As the years passed, the people of the mountainside changed. The village Wologór was always protecting started declining as people began moving to bigger cities for a better lifestyle, and Wologór’s staff was slowly losing its powers. Eventually, he understood that it was time for him to go as there was no one left for him to take care of. He went up a spring called Malina near the waterfalls of his mountain, and there he pushed his staff and his right foot against a huge boulder, leaving their shapes in the stone. He was never seen in the dreams again, but locals believe he might return when they will be in need.

So, I'm working on a Nezahualcoyotl sheet in and he seems like a pretty good basis for a Foreigner.

He is best remembered for his poetry, but according to accounts by his descendants and biographers, Fernando de Alva Cortés Ixtlilxóchitl and Juan Bautista Pomar, he had an experience of an "Unknown, Unknowable Lord of Everywhere" to whom he built an entirely empty temple in which no blood sacrifices of any kind were allowed — not even those of animals. However, he allowed human sacrifices to continue in his other temples.
That sounds pretty Lovecraftian to me but the problem is that I'm unsure about which Great Old One/Outer God would line up with this. Admittedly, my knowledge of Lovecraft's works is basic at best.

Also, if anyone would has any ideas for pre-Columbian Mexican Servants, feel free to tell me. I'm working on a Mexican Lostbelt and trying to flesh out the story a little by adding in a list of Servants that would appear in the hypothetical storyline.

A mystical white horse that was lent to Rider by his lover, it used to belong to the sea god and king of the otherworld Manannán mac Lir. As such, it can gallop both on soil and on water.
Beyond being a Phantasmal beast of high grade, by chanting his name, Enbarr bestows to those rides him the property of "being in the otherworld". This means that for Rider, since he is not technically there, any and all attacks can't hit him.
However, that is not for free. Together with the considerable amount of Mana needed to activate, there is also a possible time recoil. Because time passes with a different speed in the otherworld, overusing this Noble Phantasm can eventually lead to Rider becoming and decrepit old man.

Land of the Young
Tír na nóg

rank: Anti-army, A

Rider's trump card, it is a Reality Marble representing the irish otherworld of which Rider was Lord for a brief but glorious time.
It works by expending the Blessing of his horse, Enbarr. The Reality Marble has the looks of a hill with white flower and tree with red apples under a clear blue sky.
Inside of it, all allies have their wounds mended and their Mana restored. They feel rejuvenate and are granted a bonus in the Strenght and Endurance status.
Furthermore, Rider can overcharge this effect to use it against his enemies, returning them to a childish state and depriving them of skills gained through growth and experience, such as Militarily tactics and the likes.

Background

Rider is Oisin, the son of Fionn MacCumhaill and Sadhbh. He was a skilled warrior, but also a poet and bard, and it is said that he wrote down many of the deeds of the Fianna in the interests of historical record. Rider had a strong sense of justice, and he was one of the supporters of Diarmuid against his own father, as he deemed Fionn to be acting unfairly.
While out hunting with the Fianna one day, a beautiful maiden appeared on a white horse and challenged Rider to accompany her. Her name was Niamh Chinn Óir, meaning 'Niamh of the Golden Hair' and Rider was captivated by her beauty. He immediately mounted the magnificent white horse, named Embarr, that the fairy woman had brought and rode off with her to the Land of the Young, where the two lived happily for Three years.
However, he grow homesick and wished to see his land. Niamh lent him her magical horse to make the journey back to his home, but instructed him not to set a single foot on Irish soil if he wished to ever return safely to her.
Back on ireland, he found his home in ruin and the Fianna gone. While riding back through the countryside he came across a group of men trying to shift a giant boulder. Rider lent down from his saddle to help the men, but the stirrup broke and he fell, crashing to the earth.
On touching Irish soil Oisín instantly reverted to his true form and shriveled into an old man of 300 years. The men brought him to St. Patrick to be baptized before his death, as Christianity had by that time come to Ireland. Rider refused, however, and instead related the stories of the ancient times to Patrick, so that they might be preserved and retold, before dying a peaceful death.

personality

Rider is a youthful and energetic guy. He is enchanted by beauty and always expressing himself in poetic and melodic way.
He is a nostalgic person, constantly remembering the old days when he would hunt betwen between the trees and feel the warm rays that peaked betwen between the leafs touch his face togethers with the soft breeze.
He loathes the modern world, both because of the gray and dull concrete that has swallowed nature, but also because he feels robbed of his happiness, knowing that it was longing for the past that brought his downfall, but still keep reminiscing all the same.

Alternate Classes: Saber, Rider
True Name: Saint Wenceslaus
Alignment: Lawful Good
Origin: Europe (10th century)
Armament: Sword

Parameters:
STR: B
END: A
AGI: C
MANA: B
LUCK: A
NP: B

Skills
Class Skills

Magic Resistance - Rank B: Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether.
Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.

God’s Resolution - Rank B: A Class Skill of the Ruler class and is the privilege of the Ruler presiding over the Holy Grail War: the right to use Command Spells against Servants.

True Name Discernment - Rank D+: A Class Skill of the Ruler class where status information such as one's identity, Skills and Parameters are automatically revealed to the owner of this Skill when directly encountering a Servant.
During a direct encounter, a Servant's true name and entire status information will be automatically revealed. In regards to Servants with concealment abilities, a Luck Check is required to bypass those abilities. However, Ruler prizes discretion as to the secrets of others, which works against him for the purposes of this Skill. Rather than an automatic reveal, his use of this Skill only has moderate chance of working.

Personal Skills

Saint - Rank B: A Skill that indicates being acknowledged as a saint. When summoned as a Servant, the ability of Saint is selected one among "raising the effectiveness of sacraments", "automatic HP recovery", "1 Rank-Up to Charisma" and "production of a holy shroud is possible".

Charisma - Rank A: A composite Skill consisting of a person's charm as well as the natural talent to command or unify an army or country. Increases the ability of allies during group battles. A rare talent, and an ability inherent to Servants of the Saver class.
Can be said to have achieved the greatest level of popularity as a human being. Ruler was an exceedingly popular ruler in life, and even more popular Saint in death. Rather than being drawn to his ambition or the strength of his desires, others seem to flock to him due to their admiration of his benevolence.

Sword of Bruncvik - Rank C+: A Skill that is normally expressed as a Noble Phantasm. It is the fabled sword of the hero Bruncvik, said to have been hidden inside Charles Bridge in Prague.
Due to Ruler’s distaste with violence, the Sword of Bruncvik’s normal combat abilities are considered sealed. However, the sword still possesses increased attack power due to its reputation. Due to his legend telling that he will find the Sword of Bruncvik inside Charles Bridge when he returns to save his people, he can abuse the notion that the sword still lies within the bridge. With this, he can project the bridge around his sword, manifesting it as a makeshift wall.

Noble Phantasms

In the Saint’s Footsteps
Good King Wenceslaus

Anti-Team (Self), Rank B+
A Noble Phantasm based on Ruler’s selfless act of bringing food and timber to the peasantry of his kingdom. Braving a winter storm with only his page for company, he strode forth to bless the poor. This Noble Phantasm, the crystallization of this act of charity, also acts as the concept of a “righteous king”, a monarch whose power stems mainly from his great piety, as well as from his princely vigor. His footsteps seem to radiate heat, warming the hearts of those that follow him.
Good King Wenceslaus grants Ruler a measure of protection from harmful effects, allowing him to ignore foul weather, assaults of magecraft and even strikes from weapons. This effect extends to those that follow behind him, and as long as Ruler leads the way, others too can weather any storm. Good King Wenceslaus’ effects allow Ruler to block effects of up to B rank, as well as to reduce the power of effects ranked A or above. This protection’s power is lessened the more followers it is passed onto, with the defensive effect’s power rapidly deteriorating when it is passed to more than six people.
As Ruler leads his followers, they find their hearts and even their weapons steeled by his example. Those benefiting from Ruler’s protection receive a rank up to their parameters and have their attack power increased, both for physical and magical attacks.

Description
Likes: Acts of charity, cooking
Dislikes: Fighting, Czech legends about himself
Talents: Just leadership, benevolence
Natural Enemy: N/A

Ruler’s true identity is Václav, also known as Saint Wenceslaus, the Good King of Bohemia.

Wenceslaus is a saintly figure: humble, righteous and charitable. He is filled with benevolence towards all, even the most bitter villains. It takes a great deal of convincing for him to abandon other to their fate, and he is always spurred to action by the suffering of the needy. As he has little concern for himself, hardship presents no obstacle to his path. Wenceslaus’ sheer dedication to the benefit of others makes him an easy man to follow, a fact only strengthened by his keenly personal interest in those around him. Despite his kingship, he is, at heart, a simple man.
As someone that helps others, Wenceslaus abhors fighting, and is nonplussed by the rather violent legends that have sprung up after his death. Though he does not see himself as a warrior, he will place himself in harm’s way for the sake of others. In addition, he also understands that sometimes good men have to rise up and stand against evil. When faced with a truly vile foe, he would likely become a beacon of righteous fury, leading the charge of the companions he can gather.
Wenceslaus has a liking for most Heroic Spirits, as many of them are exemplars of humanity, men and women at their best. Naturally, he gets along best with those with righteous hearts, but he is capable of sympathizing with sinful individuals as well. Despite his good nature, he is an oddly mundane existence amongst Servants, and seems to be able to confront anyone ‘at their own level’, never appearing condescending, pitying or holier-than-thou.
Of course, Wenceslaus is loyal to his Master. His ability to adjust to other people is exhibited here as well, and he can get along with almost any kind of person. Though he might not outright reject underhanded tactics or unsavoury actions, he will almost often offer a reasonable, less heinous alternative with some gentle reproach. When forced to do something he rather wouldn’t go through with, Wenceslaus seems almost gleefully interpretative of orders, making sure that things turn out for the best by exploiting holes in his Master’s instructions.
As a Ruler, Wenceslaus has no real wish to the Holy Grail, as the act of service is reward enough.

Lore
“Good King Wenceslaus looked out, on the Feast of Stephen,
When the snow lay round about, deep and crisp and even;
Brightly shone the moon that night, tho' the frost was cruel,
When a poor man came in sight, gath'ring winter fuel.

"Hither, page, and stand by me, if thou know'st it, telling,
Yonder peasant, who is he? Where and what his dwelling?"
"Sire, he lives a good league hence, underneath the mountain;
Right against the forest fence, by Saint Agnes' fountain.".

"Bring me flesh, and bring me wine, bring me pine logs hither:
Thou and I shall see him dine, when we bear them thither."
Page and monarch, forth they went, forth they went together;
Through the rude wind's wild lament and the bitter weather.

"Sire, the night is darker now, and the wind blows stronger;
Fails my heart, I know not how; I can go no longer."
"Mark my footsteps, my good page. Tread thou in them boldly
Thou shalt find the winter's rage freeze thy blood less coldly."

In his master's steps he trod, where the snow lay dinted;
Heat was in the very sod which the saint had printed.
Therefore, Christian men, be sure, wealth or rank possessing,
Ye who now will bless the poor, shall yourselves find blessing.”

Wenceslaus was the son of Vratislaus I, Duke of Bohemia from the Přemyslid dynasty. His grandfather, Bořivoj I of Bohemia, was converted to Christianity by Saints Cyril and Methodius. His mother, Drahomíra, was the daughter of a pagan tribal chief of the Havelli, but was baptized at the time of her marriage. His paternal grandmother, Ludmila of Bohemia, saw to it that he was educated in the Old-Slavonic language and, at an early age, Wenceslaus was sent to the college at Budeč.
In 921, when Wenceslaus was about thirteen, his father died and his grandmother became regent. Jealous of the influence that Ludmila wielded over Wenceslaus, Drahomíra arranged to have her killed. Ludmila was at Tetín Castle near Beroun when assassins murdered her on September 15, 921. She is said to have been strangled by them with her veil. Drahomíra then assumed the role of regent and immediately initiated measures against the Christians. When Wenceslaus was 18, those Christian nobles who remained rebelled against Drahomira. The uprising was successful, and Drahomira was sent into exile to Budeč.
With the support of the nobles, Wenceslaus took control of the government. To prevent disputes between him and his younger brother Boleslav, they divided the country between them, assigning to the latter a considerable territory.
After the fall of Great Moravia, the rulers of the Bohemian Duchy had to deal both with continuous raids by the Magyars and the forces of the Saxon and East Frankish king Henry the Fowler, who had started several eastern campaigns into the adjacent lands of the Polabian Slavs, homeland of Wenceslaus's mother. To withstand Saxon overlordship, Wenceslaus's father Vratislaus had forged an alliance with the Bavarian duke Arnulf, a fierce opponent of King Henry at that time. The alliance became worthless, however, when Arnulf and Henry reconciled at Regensburg in 921.
Early in 929, the joint forces of Duke Arnulf of Bavaria and King Henry I the Fowler reached Prague in a sudden attack that forced Wenceslaus to resume the payment of a tribute first imposed by the East Frankish king Arnulf of Carinthia in 895. He introduced German priests, and favoured the Latin rite instead of the old Slavic, which had gone into disuse in many places for want of priests. He also founded a rotunda consecrated to St. Vitus at Prague Castle in Prague, which exists as present-day St. Vitus Cathedral. Henry had been forced to pay a huge tribute to the Magyars in 926 and needed the Bohemian tribute, which Wenceslaus probably refused to pay after the reconciliation between Arnulf and Henry. Another possible reason for the attack was the formation of the anti-Saxon alliance between Bohemia, the Polabian Slavs, and the Magyars.
September 935, a group of nobles allied with Wenceslaus's younger brother Boleslav plotted to kill him. After Boleslav invited Wenceslaus to the feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian in Stará Boleslav, three of Boleslav's companions, Tira, Česta, and Hněvsa, fell on the duke and stabbed him to death. As the duke fell, Boleslav ran him through with a lance.
Wenceslaus was considered a martyr and saint immediately after his death, when a cult of Wenceslaus grew up in Bohemia and in England.

According to legend, one Count Radislas rose in rebellion and marched against King Wenceslaus. The latter sent a deputation with offers of peace, but Radislas viewed this as a sign of cowardice. The two armies were drawn up opposite each other in battle array, when Wenceslaus, to avoid shedding innocent blood, challenged Radislas to single combat. As Radislas advanced toward the king, he saw by Wenceslaus' side two angels, who cried: "Stand off!" Thunderstruck, Radislas repented his rebellion, threw himself from his horse at the Saint's feet, and asked for pardon. Wenceslaus raised him and kindly received him again into favor.
A second enduring legend claims an army of knights sleeps under Blaník, a mountain in the Czech Republic. They will awake and, under the command of St. Wenceslaus, bring aid to the Czech people in their ultimate danger. There is a similar legend in Prague which says that when the Motherland is in danger or in its darkest times and close to ruin, the equestrian statue of King Wenceslaus in Wenceslaus Square will come to life, raise the army sleeping in Blaník, and upon crossing the Charles Bridge his horse will stumble and trip over a stone, revealing the legendary sword of Bruncvík. With this sword, King Wenceslaus will slay all the enemies of the Czechs, bringing peace and prosperity to the land.

Notes
This one was cutting it a little close, since I rewrote his Noble Phantasms over and over again and kept mulling on his Skills and personality to boot.
The end result is pretty milquetoast goody-two-shoes, but then again I guess he would be like that.

Well, second post, and it's not Chrysaor(Saber). I'm still working on it, so in the meantime, have a Pseudo-Servant sheet instead.

Athena

Class: Shielder

Alignment: Lawful Good

Appearance: Again, this one is hard to find FCs for, seeing as the design I'd like to go for is Irisviel(yes, Irisviel von Einzbern) wearing the typical outfit Athena is depicted in, and since finding that is rather tough, well, I don't really have an FC art to work with. Sorry to disappoint.

Parameters:

Strength-
C
Endurance-
A
Agility-C
Mana-D
Luck-B
NP-A+

Personality: Most of the time, Athena behaves exactly as described in most stories she appears in. Wise, caring, courageous, and more than willing to help out heroic individuals simply for the sake of helping them. However, this is simply a facade she puts up for others' sake. In truth, Athena suffers from near crippling guilt from the myriad mistakes she has made throughout history. This guilt is, thankfully, kept from overwhelming Athena due to the personality of her host, an artificial human who acquired human emotions. This homunculus, well acquainted with helping people who suffered due to past regrets, was able to help Athena herself move past her guilt and seek a way to undo her first and greatest mistake.

Class Skills

Magic Resistance-
B: Normally, Athena's Magic resistance would be lower, but her vessel's existence as the Grail increases it to a B.

Self-Field Defense-A: The unique class skill of the Shielder-class. Exhibits damage reduction exceeding the defensive limit. Since Athena was the patron and protector of Athens, her version of this skill wide enough to protect a city, if the need arises.

Personal Skills

Divine Core of the Goddess-
B: Due to Athena's manifestation as a Pseudo-Servant, her rank in this is capped at a B(Hey, I don't make the rules. I just follow them like every other monkey on this planet)

Patron of Heroes-B: Increases defenses and strength. Normally, Athena would have a completely different ability relating to defense increase, perhaps something akin to Mana Burst. However, due to her vessel's unique nature, Athena's Natural body skill has become fused with Mana Burst(Courage) as well as aspects of her legend as a patron of heroes, resulting in this composite skill. Rather curiously, this skill can be applied to Athena herself as well as others, perhaps due to Athena perceiving her host as a Hero.....

Military Tactics-A: Due to her nature as a War Goddess who represented the tactical side of warfare(as opposed to the more physical side of warfare, which was the dominion of Ares), Athena naturally has a high rank in this skill.

Noble Phantasms

Aegis Gorgoneion-
Frightful shield of the Goddess(A,Anti-Unit): The shield carried by Shielder. Normally, it appears to be a simple metal aspis(common Greek round shield) with a polished, mirror-like surface. However, upon calling it's true name, the surface changes to resemble a giant Mystic Eye "Cybele", drawing power from the head of the gorgon Medusa set within the shield. When this occurs, any who see the surface of the shield suffers the effects of the eye, petrifying in a matter of minutes unless they have a Mana rank of A or higher(yes, this is functionally just the Mystic Eyes skill as an NP, but I thought it was appropriate)

Athenai Epilektoi-Chosen Soldiers of the City(B, Anti-Army): A representation of the military might of Athena's city. In most cases, Hoplites(Greek infantrymen) were non-professional soldiers, usually conscripts with barely any military training. However, each city maintained a small elite force of hoplites as a continuous force, and Athens is no exception. Using this NP, Shielder can summon a small group of soldiers to aid her in combat, numbering 50 in total. Each individual soldier is a very weak heroic spirit, similar in nature to the soldiers summoned by Ionian Hetairoi, but slightly stronger due to being an "elite" unit.

Shielder also carries a Greek doru spear as her primary offence, and while technically a very weak NP, it has no name or special abilities to speak of, simply being a well-made spear from Hephaestus' forge.

Lore: Of course, the stories of Athena are well known to anyone with even a vague understanding of Greek mythology. Born of Zeus and his first wife, Metis, springing from her father's forehead fully grown, ect. Being one of the most prolific gods of the Greek Pantheon, it is no surprise that she is well known. However, her later depictions often show her as spiteful and vindictive, often helping heroes such as Perseus for less than altruistic reasons. Why would that be, seeing as she is supposed to be the benevolent, wise goddess? The answer, simply, is man. More so than others, the Gods are affected by the perceptions of man, and Athena is no exception. Her, problems, however, began with the founding of Athens, when she won the vote that saw her become the patron of the city. Though she had won, the victory was a somber affair, as it caused women to lose many of the rights and privileges that men enjoyed, and as such became a source of resentment. As time went on and Athens grew and developed, more and more resentment and hate were directed at Athena. From the women of the city, to the slaves and non-citizens, to the people of the places Athens conquered, more and more people began to resent Athens, and Athena. Even her helping heroes was warped by this resentment into selfish acts of spite, usually as a final lesson to someone who had offended her, such as Medusa or Paris. This resentment changed Athena, causing a second, darker personality to grow within her. Though she fought against this other self for a long time, it was a losing battle. By the time Chrysaor came to Olympus seeking justice for his mother(Oh, look. A tie-in to the lore of my upcoming Saber Chrysaor), very little of the original Athena remained, resulting in her conduct during that event and her resultant downfall with the survivors of Troy.

By the time Rome rose to power as the dominant empire of man, Athena had shrunk to the form of Minerva, the bitter and vindictive Roman goddess of crafts and cleverness. She lost everything, even her status as a War Goddess had been stripped from her and given to another. However, in an alternate version of the 4th Fuyuki Grail War, Athena/Minerva saw a chance to fix things. Casting her gaze upon the battles, one individual caught her eye. An Einzbern Homunculus named Irisviel. This person resonated with the goddess' dual essence, especially when the Grail's powers were brought to consideration. Thus, during the fires that raged at the end of that Grail War, Athena took her chance, sweeping in and possessing Irisviel just as she was battling Angra Mainyu's personality. The resultant conflict caused that timeline's Irisviel to be split into two separate beings, a "white" Iri and a "black" Iri, who each fused with the positive and negative aspects of Athena/Minerva. Both were then recorded to the Throne as Pseudo-Servants, as Shielder and Avenger respectively. The two clashed fiercely in the burning city before vanishing in a blast of light, never to be seen again.

Relationships: In general, Shielder is respectful and supportive towards most individuals. However, she does react in other ways to some people, such as;

Gorgon sisters/Arachne: "I am sorry for what happened to you. If I can win this war, I can make this right,"
Athena is very remorseful towards the victims of her darker half, and it is in their memory that she fights to win the Grail War.

Assassin EMIYA/Illyasviel:
"You are familiar, but not to me. To this vessel, perhaps?"
While Athena herself doesn't recognize either of Iri's family members, the residual feelings of Irisviel do allow her to at least understand the connection between them and her vessel.

Chrysaor: "Words cannot undo the past, but I forgive you for what you did to me. Had we met under better circumstances, perhaps we could've been friends, or more...."
Shielder's relation to Chrysaor is weird. Seeing as Chrysaor was the primary catalyst that caused her fall into Minerva, Shielder is quite uncomfortable around either of his forms. It doesn't help help that Shielder feels some degree of emotional attraction to Chrysaor, due to their similar births and behaviors. However, at the end of the day, Shielder respects Chrysaor, as both a king and a warrior.

Notes: So, second servant sheet, and it's an Iriface Athena. As you might expect, this is the first of two, and Avenger Minerva(Who represents all of Athena's negative aspects and is also an Iriface) will come along eventually. In the meantime, I need to stimulate myself so I can finish Saber Chrysaor.

End: B
Agi: B

Skills

class skills

Independent action(A): the ability to remain independent even when rejecting, or unable to receive a prana supply from the Master. Archer can remain in this world for a week even after losing her Master. However, to use Noble Phantasms back up from the Master, or other Prana source is necessary.

Magic resistence(C): Cancel spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against Magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals.

personal skills

Nature of Rebellious spirit(C): The temperament to never remain at one location and never embrace a lord. A wandering star that does not have the capacity to be king nor is capable of finding his own king. Negates the effects of Charisma with the same rank.

Disengage(B): the ability to withdraw from the battlefield in the midst of combat or reset the battle conditions. it also returns skill conditions to their starting value and compulsorily cancels several bad statuses.

Clairvoyance(C): A skill that connotes superior visual perception and dynamic occipital capture, such as to supplement the long-range aiming of projectile weapons. Archer is capable of keeping track of fast-moving object within a range of four kilometers.

Noble phantasm

Shot of the Outlaw
Eye of the Wake

rank: Anti-unit, C

A Noble Phantasm representing Archer various anecdotes of perceiving and prevailing against Ambush attacks.
It manifest as as a sort of instinctive knowledge that gives him a warning when the opponent is ready. Once the enemy is perceived, Archer can Activate the Noble phantasm's main effect.
He let's loose a single arrow. This arrow is embedded with the concept of "finding want is hiding". It will automatically pursue and hit enemies who are concealed in the shadows, with the damaged increasing the lower their hiding abilities are.
Useful for dealing with assassins and tricksters and dealing the first blow, it has no use once the actual fight begins.

Background

Hereward the Wake, Anglo-Saxon rebel against William the Conqueror and the hero of many Norman and English legends. He is associated with a region in present-day Huntingdonshire and Northamptonshire.
He was believed to be the son of Leofric of Bourn. As a young man he was banished from Lincolnshire by Edward the Confessor as a troublemaker.
After William the Conqueror gained control of England Archer's lands were given to Oger the Breton. Archer now took revenge by establishing a gang of rebels who attacked Normans settlers in Lincolnshire.
In 1070 he joined the invading Danes under King Sweyn and helped plunder Peterborough. In June 1070 Archer seized the isle of Ely. He was later joined by Morcar, the Earl of Northumbria.
In 1071 William led an expedition against the rebels on the the isle of Ely. Morcar surrendered but Archer and a few others escaped through the marshes. It is not known what happened to he after this date.
It seems that some of his legends have influenced the Robin Hood Mythos. However, Archer himself is not a Robin Hood.

personality

Archer is a happy-go-lucky kinda of guy. He is friendly and charismatic with anyone and has a chill disposition about common matters.
However, he can be surprisingly short fused. It does not take a lot of trying to get him going, he usually responds hostility with even more hostility.
He can be a bit of a womanizer, but he means well. He also doesn't like to stay in the same place for long, which is probably because of having spent most of his life in the road.

Hereward: First off, I don't think that Clairvoyance variant is really necessary. The default form of Clairvoyance EMIYA and the like had already includes the part about aiming projectile weapons. I know a Skill by that name might exist in GO, but if so it's one of the many examples of GO inventing unnecessarily specific Skill variants just to make some hero seem more special and unique. I wouldn't aim to follow that example in fan sheets.

Other than that the sheet seems fine, though kind of barebones. Could use some extra flavor in his Skills section to explain why he qualifies for them and flesh him out a bit more. Also for his NP, I get what it does but I don't understand the "finding want is hiding" part. What does that mean?

I guess I will answer here too:

Basically, if the enemy is hiding, be it by presence concealment of some other skill, it automatically hits them.

I will change the skill only here.

For one thing, sorry about the repeat post. I just noticed you'd submitted the sheet to the main thread too and thought it'd be better to reply there and save feedback in the contest for voting time.

Lancer of the Gorgoneion

"Servant, Lancer. I swear by this shield, I will protect you with my life!... was that cool?"

Class: Lancer
Alignment: Neutral/good
Region: Greece
Height: 166 cm
Weight: 58kg
Likes: sparing, tactics, swiming
Dislikes: hot days, cheaters, lighting
Talent: spearmanship
Armaments: shield, spear
Natural Enemy: Zeus

stats

Str: B
End: C
Agi: A
Mna: C
Lck: E
NP: EX

Skills

class skills

Magic resistence(A): Cancel spells of A-Rank or below. In practice, the Servant is untouchable to modern magi, so it would not be an exaggeration to title the Servant a "Magus Killer".

personal skills

Divinity(B+): The level of one's aptitude as a Divine spirit. Lancer is a demigod, daughter of the sea god Triton. Futhermore, she was also celebrated as a aspect of Athena.

Eye of the mind(true)(A-): A heightened capacity for observation, refined through training, discipline and experience. Lancer is capable of calm analysis of the abilities of the opponent as well as the battle conditions even when in danger and deduce an appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities to escape from a predicament. However, there is a rare change that she may be distracted, which would result in a opening in this skill.

Blessing of the sea(B): Power inherited from Lancer's father, it grants protection against water element attacks as well a an advantage while fighting at sea.

Affection of the goddess(A): A Skill that denotes one being loved by a goddess. In Lancer's case, that would be the wisdom and war goddess, Athena. Other than Mana and Luck, all stats are Ranked-Up. This skill also acts similar to Military Tactics.

Noble phantasm

Eternal and Briliant Shield
Aegis

rank: Barrier, Anti-group, A

A legendary golden shield who is said to bear the visage of the Gorgon, placed upon Lancer funerary statue by her sworn sister, the Goddess Athena.
It is a Divine Construct of the highest grade. It's defensive power alone is enough to stop a Anti-fortress Noble Phantasm, although it falls short of blocking Anti-country attacks and can't compete with Anti-world ones.
However, it's real special ability is the Immitation of the effects of Cybele, the mystic eyes of the terrifying Medusa. Although just just a replication, it is still something that is beyond the scopes of modern day Magecraft.
It works by creating a Boundary Field that affects all enemies is Lancer's vicinity. It doesn't turn their bodies to stone, but instead petrifies their mind, stopping any action they might take and even knocking out weaker opponents. It is a mental attack of the greatest order, only those with magical or mental defenses of Rank A or above can withstand it, but even they will still suffer a rank down in all parameters.

Virgin Laser
Palladion

rank: Anti-fortress, EX

Lancer ultimate attack, it borrows the concept of Athena's spear which "paradoxically led to the downfall of the fortified city of Troy".
It works by taking the Boundary Field of Aegis and turning it inside out, which results in a attack that caries the concept of "piercing the most powerful defenses". If the situation are correct, it may even surpass the speed of light.
A powerful technic, but is not for free. Beyond the enourmous amount of Mana needed to properly use this Noble Phantasm, the strain also damages Lancer's Saint Graph, permanently lowering her stats. Consecutive uses may even cause her death.

Background

Lancer's name is Pallas. She was the daughter of Triton, son of Poseidon and messenger of the seas.
After Athena was born fully armed from Zeus forehead, Triton, acting as a foster parent to the goddess, raised her alongside his own daughter. The sea god taught both girls the arts of war.
During an athletics festival, Lancer and Athena fought with spears in a friendly mock battle in which the victor would be whoever managed to disarm her opponent. At the beginning of the fight, Athena got the upper hand, until Lancer took over. Before she could win, Zeus, who was in attendance, fearing to see his own daughter lose, distracted Lancer with the Aegis, which she had once shown interest in. Stunned in awe, she stood still as Athena, expecting her to dodge, impaled Lancer accidentally.
Out of sadness and regret, she created the palladium, a statue in the likeness of Lancer, and put the Aegis Along side it, setting it up beside Zeus and honored it. Later, Athena took on the title Pallas as tribute to her late friend.

personality

Lancer is a natural warrior. While she tries to hide somewhat, she is rather boisterous and someone who can certainly be called a Tomboy.
Her attitude is one of loyalty. However, instead of something distant like a soldier and her lord, she much prefers a more informal and friendly, like those of partners. She is someone utterly unguarded with her fellings and as such, it is not hard become close to her.
In battle, while she obviously knows to take it serious, the longer combat goes on, the easier it is for her to become complacent and start enjoying herself, which can be both good or bad depending on the opponent.

Huh, nice Pallas. Probably makes my Athena sheet look pretty bad, especially since I can't find faceclaims.

Don't sweat it. A good FC is nice and all, but ultimately it is the content of the sheet that matters.
