Getting the Emiya Crest? Believable, I can tolerate it. The half vampire, getting pure eyes(WHICH WAS BY NO MEANS POSSIBLE), MOTHERFUCKING SWORD SURFING.

There are lots of good things that can be said about this particular work. The interaction b/w Shirou an his servant are portrayed well in addition to Rin, Sakura and others.
Path of the King
The story flow is excellent as well as incorporating the seedier parts such as kidnap, rape et al. And evidently this is not going to be a Shirou saves everyone story. Not all of the MC's are going to make it to the end of the story.
Promises of A Wandering Hero
Excellently written. Shirou is a bit more firm than he would usually be with girls. He will be having a few new abilities but none of them actually overpower him though some of them don't seem to be canon compliant. The character interactions are really good. Caster gets plenty of character development and all in all a great read
Uryuu
A really really different story, A post HF normal end Shirou being summoned by Uryuu Ryuuonosuke. It assumes that Uryuu and Shirou are related by Blood.

Just awesome. Ilya's characterization is Dead on.

-1 fate black reflections. Reading about how ichigo curbstomps everyone else isn't very entertaining and i've also talked with the author, he has minimal amount of fsn knowledge. Enough to write an entertaining fic if you've only watched the fsn anime, but facepalm worthy if you have more detailed knowledge and care about the details. Other than that, it's ok.

Imagine you're taking a shit. It's great and very satisfying for about the first five minutes, but then it just keeps going and going.
And going.
By this point, let's say you've just hit the half hour mark, your sphincters are tired as fuck and probably quite sore and the shit just. Would. Not. Stop. You're feeling restless, you're shifting from cheek to cheek and checking the back hem of your shirt for splatters. Oh and don't forget the pins and needles in your feet.
And all throughout, your brain is nagging at you that you need to hurry the crap up and get on with your day because there's a million better things to do with your time. But no, oh no, there's more. The shit just keeps piling on and you just want it stop and get it over with but there's still more, even when you think it's done. There's always more.
Now you start to worry about clogging and maybe the smell's finally settling in and you get a little light headed from all the straining... but there's more. The shit must flow and there's only one way out and... Oh god.
That's how I felt reading In Flight. And before you ask, yes, I've been sitting on this for quite some time.
