However she possesses great weakness to the sacraments of the church and if exorcised, one could converse with the actual Mary briefly before she vanishes.

Every time she uses this skill, her body will alter and become more demonic and terrifying; wings sprout, horns grow, fangs sharpen, size increases and skin cracks open with eyes forming where they should not be.

A skill to manifest independently in the current world. It signifies a confirmed existence, granting resistance against instant-death and time-control attacks. This is a kind of skill that only a certain class tends to possess, she had obtained this due to her "possession". The demons selected to possess this vessel are picked from outside the axis of the timeline to try and possess Mary Magdalene upon summoning. The likelihood of success depends of the strength of magical power and soul of the master. If it fails then she is summoned in the Ruler class uncorrupted as normal.

The reverse engineering of the conversion of Avenger. She had been possessed by seven demons - each representing the cardinal sins but they were exorcised by the Lord, letting her live a life of virtue.

This is instead an attack that induces sin.By intruding the body of another with a foreign object materialising as an appropriate weapon to strike the target. Guilt is removed as is the knowledge one has done wrong and the desire to repent. Upon so each target is judged by Avenger as one who needs to be exterminated for their piety or goodness being "too great" for her liking and so inflicting upon them the flames of hell and delivering them unto oblivion, basically instant death.

The more Divine or Virtuous is, the greater the chance of Inferno being released while those who embrace their darkness whom are closer to or are Anti-Heroes will have great resistance to this attack. Therefore the likes of King Arthur, Karna or Saint Martha will take considerably more damage than the likes of say a certain nameless counter guardian. Meanwhile those like Dantes, Medusa or Tamamo-no-Mae will be mostly unaffected.

Lore

Mary Magdalene was a close follower and student of Jesus and patron saint of prostitutes and converts.

After being abandoned by her husband as a young lady, she became a most sinful woman and gave into every desire. Pride. Envy. Wrath, Gluttony and Lust. Sloth and Greed. Living as a prostitute, she became a beacon of depravity and was eventually possessed by seven demons, representing each carnal sin. Eventually she was approached by Jesus who drove those seven demons out of her.

Since that day she lived a life of chastity and repentance, later washing his feat with her tears and hair. She later watch him during the Crucifixion and Resurrection of the Christ. After Jesus' ascension to the heavens, she travelled to France where she converted the masses by performing miracles in the form of resurrection before passing away in a church built for her and ascending herself. There is a gospel of Mary Magdalene where she had a special (undefined) relationship of sorts with him which made her the envy of even the apostles such as Peter though this has been considered apocryphal by the church body.

Avenger is a representation of Mary Magdalene before she encountered The Christ.

Personality

As a Avenger however, she has been summoned in the state when she was possessed by seven demons and is completely different than her truest form as a Ruler in terms of personality and abilities. She cannot truly be considered to be the actual 'Mary Magdalene' in this state and rather just a group of demons controlling her body like a puppet and erasing her mind. Little of Mary remains as a host body.

She is the compilation of seven demons and has no definitive singular personality, but instead possesses several - each representing a cardinal sin. No singular one is in direct control so through a joint collaboration, she can take on essentially any persona. However when the host body has taken considerable damage and connection is disrupted, she can jump from one archetypal personality to another, ranging from murderous, gluttonous, lustful etc, however this doesn't last for a long period of time. As a collaboration of personalities, Avenger doesn't really possess any strong gender identities though Avenger simply refers to the collaborative self as female simply out of convenience due to the shared body.

However she does possess views and goals. She desires vengeance against the divine spirit who exorcised "her" and as such loves modern humanity for indulging in their own sin and denying the divine - not that it will stop her from committing them all to her purge. Her existence is simply that of "Chaos" and when manifesting upon the world will do so again.

Ibaraki/Shuten: "So… you are of the demon kind too?"

Shiki: "Curious, you have a connection to the beyond. It doesn't use you put is rather an equal part. I don't like it."

Tactics

Upon summoning Mary Magdalene, an error may occur where instead the vessel is possessed by a group of demons. This is likely to occur if one is "lacking in character" as a magus and the only way to do so without fear of attack would be to be a member of the Church. If summoned as an Avenger, this group of demons posing as Mary will attack you on the spot.

Therefore our recommendation is that you don't summon her. Or at least find a way to summon the actual Mary without fear of alteration.

It's generally used as a derogatory term for anyone who's a massive asshole in personality, which is what I was going for. My post had no sexual connotations about it as it was supposed to say ''Hagen's an ass'' so can't say I'll apologize for using the word, but it's pretty apparent that using it in any form of connotations leads to needless derailment so I'll at least make a mental note to avoid using such wording.
