Don't listen to Royd, FGO mats is the pinnacle of Fate lore achievement and everybody should definitely be mentioning crits stars and game mechanics in lore text as much as possible. Also don't forget to tell us their preferred first, second, and third person pronouns.

And this completes the big three dictators series now that I have Hitler, Stalin and Mao all written up. Definitely will be coming back to WWII area to do some more interesting figures I have in mind though.

Mao's a bit weaker than Stalin and Hitler because he doesn't really have any legends being made up about him like about Hitler and Stalin do which I assume is because he's kinda less popular than them due to not really being that big of a name during the WWII period and he became an important name only afterwards.

Mao is the ponytail dude in the faceclaim below.

    ---

    Class: Berserker (Alternatively Caster)
    True Name: Mao Zedong
    Alias: Chairman Mao
    Alignment: Chaotic Evil
    Origin: History
    Region:
    China

    Strength - D
    Endurance- D
    Agility- C
    Mana- C
    Luck- B+
    NP- B

    Height/Weight: 173cm/57kg
    Gender: Male
Likes: Power, revolution, constructive conversation, literature, women, swimming
Dislikes: Imperialism, Japan, arranged marriage, peaceful methods
    Talent: Influencing and instructing others
Natural Enemy: Emperor Jimmu, Gilgamesh, Jung Chang, Jon Halliday
    Attribute: Man
    Traits: Human
Armament: Modern guns, grenades, military knife

    Class skills:

    Mad Enhancement: (E)
Raises base parameters in exchange for mental capacities - in some cases Personal skills and Noble Phantasms are sealed away. At this rank, the user does not usually receive the benefits of Mad Enhancement and reasoning capacities are retained. The person in question does not feel any inflicted pain and upon taking damage, a LCK check is performed. Failure results in him going wild and all his stats besides MAN and LCK raising by one rank. Mao is applicable to the Berserker class because he is an extremely violent brute by nature, but he is not a truly mad warrior. Instead, he possesses another skill to represent his summoning as a Berserker.

    Personal skills:

    Protracted Warfare:
    (A)
A personal skill possessed by Mao Zedong. It is a combination of Mad Enhancement and Military Tactics. The skill notes Mao's lack of empathy and madness that is willing to sacrifice thousands of honest men for the sake of chipping away at the much larger forces of his enemies. A type of Military Tactics that revolves itself around on the usage of guerilla tactics, Mao's preferred way of battle. When fighting against enemy force that is more powerful than that of his own, Mao is granted bonus modifiers in dealing with such situation. The full potential of this skill can be used once the conditions for his first Noble Phantasm have been set. Furthermore, it acts as an anti-type skill against skills which's purpose is the suppression of aggressive thought - such as Hector's Proof of Friendship.

    Cult of Personality:
    (EX)
The skill that represents someone who lead a dictatorship in life and controlled the knowledge and mindset of the people through mass media - painting false pictures to give oneself a better standing in the people's minds. It is akin to the skill Imperial Privilege in that it falsely attributes skills to it's owner that they usually would not possess if it wasn't because of the owner's insistence. Mao's cult of personality was no less influential than that of Stalin's or Hitler's - in fact, even to this day there are people in China who treat Mao as a national hero despite his name being linked to the deaths of millions of people. In Mao's case, the relevant skills that are granted are Natural Born Genius, Eye for Art, Medical Techniques, Innate Wisdom, Clairvoyance, Chinese Martial Arts, Discernment of the Poor, etc.

    Charisma: (A)
Natural ability to run a country and lead armies. At this rank, the person in question can be said to have achieved the greatest popularity as a human being. For Mao, his Charisma truly shows when dealing with people of lower social statuses that are discontent with the higher classes. He is able to adequately instill the intention of battle inside of the poor and convince them to raise their arms in battle for the sake of the revolution that he would be leading. Though he is capable at boosting the morale and manipulating the hearts of the unfortunate, Mao's Charisma would not be as effective when dealing with those of higher social standing and, in most cases, might fall flat.

    Disengage: (A)
Measures one's capability to break away from combat and return to a safe location. At this rank, when escaping a situation where one is greatly outnumbered the performance of the individual is boosted to a great degree. Mao and his peasant army of guerilla fighters were often known to have used cowardly tactics such as hit-and-run, refusing to truly face the might of their enemy. He was often mocked to be a cowardly individual who escaped with his tail between his legs. Though Mao paid no heed to such remarks, and remained using his tactic of disengaging the enemy every time things got ugly which led to many military successes of Mao Zedong.

    Anti-Imperialism: (A)
A personal skill that is the most notable characteristic of Mao Zedong as a person. It measures one's involvement in the defeat of imperialism inside their territory. Mao was noted to be a person who hated and executed any rich individual who owned large portions of land, often calling them ''counter-revolutionary'' when doing so. Because of this and his successes, he is attributed to be the reason of imperialism's end in China. In regards to the Holy Grail War, this skill functions as an absolute anti-skill against any other skills which's purpose is attaining a territory for oneself. It shuts down Territory Creation, Demonic Defender of the State or any such similar skills or tactics as soon as Mao comes into contact with a territory owned by another individual that is advantageous to oneself. It, however, does not function on Reality Marbles.

    Noble Phantasm(s)

    Changsha
    Uprising of the Peasants

    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: D
    Range: 1~100
    Max. Target: 1000 people

A poem written by Mao Zedong during the Civil War of China. It is essentially a Noble Phantasm that represents Mao's early days and his rise to power. When he recites the true name of his Noble Phantasm, Mao is granted the ability to impose a powerful suggestion into the minds of regular civilians who do not possess particular wealth or power in the world. The suggestion he is imposing is an absolute will to fight for what is theirs and to oppose their misfortune. By doing this, Mao can effectively amass a guerilla force of peasants and workers that will do anything on his command. Though, the condition for this Noble Phantasm is that Mao has to go around the area and personally ''convince'' the civilians to join his ''cause''. However, over time he can amass a large network of guerilla fighters throughout the town to the point where he might even put every civilian in the town under his control.

This style of fighting is no different from the preferred style of hunting that Dead Apostles use; which is amassing a large network of The Dead and having them collect blood for their sake while the parent vampire is sitting in a safe place somewhere. It is no exaggeration to say that through this Noble Phantasm, Mao might as well have amassed such a wide network that his spies will be located everywhere in the town - his eyes and ears are essentially everywhere. Furthermore, it is impossible to discern what civilians are under Mao's control and what are not, making it dangerous for a Servant to leave their Master's side. Though they possess power much weaker than that of a normal Servant, their battle capabilities are raised and they are able to manufacture modern weaponry imbued with Magecraft that has the power to somewhat chip away even at Servants. Through his Charisma and Protracted Warfare skills, Mao will be able to extort the full capability of his Red Army.

Having this Noble Phantasm makes Mao a dangerous individual not because he is a threat to other Servants, but because the town's civilization has the threat of disappearing under Mao's commands - a reason for the Holy Church to get themselves involved with Mao Zedong as to stop his rampaging around and minimize the damage done to the population of the town where the war is taking place in. More-so, it is proof that much like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong is an Anti-Heroic Spirit that cannot be summoned if the Grail is not truly (rotten) tainted.

    Laogai
    Reform Through Labour

    Type: Anti-Unit, Anti-Riches
    Rank: C
    Range: 1~20
    Max. Target: 1 person

A crystallization of the reign of terror that was representative of Mao's Republic of China. It is a Noble Phantasm that represents Mao's way of ruling the country. This Noble Phantasm is a constantly active one, granting an effect on Mao that forces anyone who converses with him admit what they think of him - be it criticism or praise. It gives Mao an understanding of what the other person is truly thinking, making it impossible to hide ulterior motives from him. This effect is representative of the Hundred Flowers Campaign that Mao led in life as a way to root out any political opposition, promising free speech to everyone and encouraging them to say any criticism they have against Mao's government so they can ''fix'' the problems when in truth it was only a tactic to find out opponents that are a threat to Mao's power.

There is, however, a different purpose to this Noble Phantasm when it's true name is activated. The true power of this Noble Phantasm is the right to cast a powerful ''curse'' on this whose lives are fated to riches and owning of large portions of land. The curse itself takes the form of chains wrapping themselves around the enemy's body - the more luck and the more riches one is known to have contained the more powerful the grip of the chains becomes. Though the enemy is not prevented from movement, it is not possible to remove the chains as they aren't an entirely physical Noble Phantasm and they will keep regenerating no matter how much they are destroyed. The only possible ways of removing them is through an appropriate anti-Noble Phantasm or by doing forced labour - a favour - for Mao's sake as to prove their right to remove the chains. It is also possible to remove this Noble Phantasm by forcefully dropping one's LCK stat and losing all gained riches.

On the other hand, the more riches one amasses and the more luck they possess, the tighter the chains will become until eventually they reach a point where they can crush the enemy's body. Due to this Heroic Spirits such as Arjuna or Siegfried who have constantly been awarded in life or amassed a large amount of riches will feel the full capability of this Noble Phantasm. Though Mao's power in regards to fighting older Heroic Spirits is pathetic, it is because of this Noble Phantasm that he can potentially become a dark horse despite his lackluster fighting power.

    Dà Yuè Jìn
    Great Chinese Famine

    Type: Anti-Army, Anti-Mystery
    Rank: B+
    Range: 1~40
    Max. Target: 50 people

Mao's most powerful Noble Phantasm that is the crystallization of his most horrible deed - the Great Leap Forward campaign - which was the cause of the worst human made famine in history that resulted in the deaths of millions. It was the campaign that aimed to transform and modernize the country from that of an agrarian economy into a socialist society through rapid industrialization and collectivization. This Noble Phantasm represents one of the worst mass killing in the history of human kind with coercion, terror and violence as it's foundation.

It's activation is only possible after he has achieved a certain quota through his prior two Noble Phantasm; which is produce enough man force through his first Noble Phantasm and collect enough riches from his second Noble Phantasm. Once such quota has been met, Mao is allowed to command his forces to began building constructs imbued with Magecrafts through the finest riches obtained by his second Noble Phantasm. It is a mass production that ranges from weaponry for attack to defensive items such as shields. Each and every of these construct is a Noble Phantasm in itself. They can range from Anti-Unit to Anti-Army to Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasms. The only thing they share in common is their title as Noble Phantasm created through sheer effort of modern humankind and their purpose is to act as an absolute counter-attack to mysteries that have manifested from prior to the Age of Man - as such they possess adequate power when faced off against Servants that are from the Age of Gods.

They are absolute 「Mystery-Piercing Spears」 that are proof of China's modernization during Mao's time. However, there is a reason why Mao is required to fill in the quota described previously. Depending on the power of each unique Noble Phantasm being built, Mao's forces will start depleting through disintegration in exchange for the Noble Phantasm being produced as proof of the many lives which were taken as a cost by the Great Leap Forward campaign. As it was once said, it is an expensive disaster that in exchange for power takes the lives of many. Because of this, Mao can only produce a certain amount of anti-mystery Noble Phantasm before he runs out of man-force or material depending on the conditions.

    Lore
The founding father of the People's Republic of China. Along with Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin, he makes up the 「Three Great Dictators of the 20th Century」. A controversial figure who is credited with ending imperialism in his country, modernizing it, building it into a world power, raising the life expectancy of the Chinese people and promoting the status of women as someone who left his country in a far stronger state prior to his rule. However, along with such great feats, the truth is in fact that Mao was one of the greatest mass murderers of human history - no different from that of Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin.

He is the cause of the greatest human made famine in history that took lives ranging from 3 million to 43 million and is severely criticized as a man that caused great damage on traditional Chinese culture. He was a cruel man who rooted out any political opposition through deception and solidified his grip on power by enforcing land reforms and executing many rich landlords.

    Personality
A cruel, but calm and composed man. He enjoys modern literature ranging from political discussion to works of fantasy, considering himself a high intellectual. A man who feels no empathy whatsoever and has no shame in participating in cowardly actions as long as it leads him to victory. On top of that, he is an unrivaled pervert beneath his calm and playful attitude, wishing to get his hands on any female who he deems attractive.

Similar to the ''other two'', he does not wish to resolve things through peaceful means as such means are an insult to the people's will for change. In regards to the Holy Grail, Mao possesses numerous wishes. His wishes range from the total destruction of Japanese legacy to a full-out battle between himself and the other two dictators as to build a grand story that everyone would bear witness to... However, his clearest wish is no different from that of Vlad III.

He absolutely despises the work Mao: An Unknown Story which has received outstanding popularity during modern times and has revealed all of his misdeeds, ruining his picture as a ''hero'' forever. His wish is to erase the existence of such a book being made and ''hang the counter-revolutionary piglets who created it by their tails''.

Plus, being a gentleman chief who acts like a campy supervillain it sounds like he'd be quite the entertaining character to see 'on-screen'. A quibble, but I also also noticed that you have a near-continuous habit of including extra 'N's in a lot of words ('Personnality' and 'ennemy' being the most frequent offenders). In the future, if you're pondering how many 'N's a word has, I'd say go with one just to be safe, since as is you're erring in the opposite direction.
Yeah, I figured that he was far more interesting a an Avenger after I written him too. And the reason why I do this error so often is that in French (my native language), these words are written mostly the same but they have two N.

Yeah, I've heard it's got a lot of false stuff among the truths.

It's probably what he'd wish to erase if he was canon anyway.

Honestly I was just using Space Battles' "standardized" stat descriptions since I've never been entirely sure what Protection of the Faeries actually does.
About your Goemon sheet. Maybe turn the pot into something of a conceptual weapon? Right now it seems just impractically difficult to use how it is. Otherwise it's pretty good.

    @asterism42
That would make sense since it's the actual sword. I wonder if Saber Cu would use it or Cruaiden Cadatchenn.

As a general question. I randomly found a page for a good Malaysian Lancer candidate I'm fairly certain was called Sanjaya of Mataram, but I can't for the life of me find the page again. Wikipedia has basically nothing, but the page I found even had enough for a possible NP.

Well, that page is non-canonical and judging by its description of that skill alone, pretty unreliable. No skill should give a rank up of three unless it's Rank is above A. And thank for the advice, but it was intentionally designed as pretty much useless. And come to think of it, I should have used the Avenger version in the first place anyway.

I'm sorry, but I can't help you with you Lancer idea. I know about as much african lore as I know alchemy.

It doesn't even say it "raises" or "increases" it. Another way to translate it is like, "The ability to call upon good luck." Honestly, in D&D terms, it sounds more like you'd get a bonus to a given roll more than actually manipulating your rank.

And then there's Artoria's unlisted version which apparently would be "lets you Gundam across the water."

Hmm. Baru Klinting was a dragon/Naga in Javanese folklore that later got turned into a spear which would lose all its power if ever touched by a woman. I know this because I actually remember a sheet of the guy way back in the old Create-A-Servant thread (which kept in my mind because it was such an odd premise). Is that who you mean?
