Uprising of the Peasants
Type: Anti-Army
Rank: D
Range: 1~100
Max. Target: 1000 people
A poem written by Mao Zedong during the Civil War of China. It is essentially a Noble Phantasm that represents Mao's early days and his rise to power. When he recites the true name of his Noble Phantasm, Mao is granted the ability to impose a powerful suggestion into the minds of regular civilians who do not possess particular wealth or power in the world. The suggestion he is imposing is an absolute will to fight for what is theirs and to oppose their misfortune. By doing this, Mao can effectively amass a guerilla force of peasants and workers that will do anything on his command. Though, the condition for this Noble Phantasm is that Mao has to go around the area and personally ''convince'' the civilians to join his ''cause''. However, over time he can amass a large network of guerilla fighters throughout the town to the point where he might even put every civilian in the town under his control.
This style of fighting is no different from the preferred style of hunting that Dead Apostles use; which is amassing a large network of The Dead and having them collect blood for their sake while the parent vampire is sitting in a safe place somewhere. It is no exaggeration to say that through this Noble Phantasm, Mao might as well have amassed such a wide network that his spies will be located everywhere in the town - his eyes and ears are essentially everywhere. Furthermore, it is impossible to discern what civilians are under Mao's control and what are not, making it dangerous for a Servant to leave their Master's side. Though they possess power much weaker than that of a normal Servant, their battle capabilities are raised and they are able to manufacture modern weaponry imbued with Magecraft that has the power to somewhat chip away even at Servants. Through his Charisma and Protracted Warfare skills, Mao will be able to extort the full capability of his Red Army.
Having this Noble Phantasm makes Mao a dangerous individual not because he is a threat to other Servants, but because the town's civilization has the threat of disappearing under Mao's commands - a reason for the Holy Church to get themselves involved with Mao Zedong as to stop his rampaging around and minimize the damage done to the population of the town where the war is taking place in. More-so, it is proof that much like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong is an Anti-Heroic Spirit that cannot be summoned if the Grail is not truly (rotten) tainted.

Type: Anti-Unit, Anti-Riches

A crystallization of the reign of terror that was representative of Mao's Republic of China. It is a Noble Phantasm that represents Mao's way of ruling the country. This Noble Phantasm is a constantly active one, granting an effect on Mao that forces anyone who converses with him admit what they think of him - be it criticism or praise. It gives Mao an understanding of what the other person is truly thinking, making it impossible to hide ulterior motives from him. This effect is representative of the Hundred Flowers Campaign that Mao led in life as a way to root out any political opposition, promising free speech to everyone and encouraging them to say any criticism they have against Mao's government so they can ''fix'' the problems when in truth it was only a tactic to find out opponents that are a threat to Mao's power.
There is, however, a different purpose to this Noble Phantasm when it's true name is activated. The true power of this Noble Phantasm is the right to cast a powerful ''curse'' on this whose lives are fated to riches and owning of large portions of land. The curse itself takes the form of chains wrapping themselves around the enemy's body - the more luck and the more riches one is known to have contained the more powerful the grip of the chains becomes. Though the enemy is not prevented from movement, it is not possible to remove the chains as they aren't an entirely physical Noble Phantasm and they will keep regenerating no matter how much they are destroyed. The only possible ways of removing them is through an appropriate anti-Noble Phantasm or by doing forced labour - a favour - for Mao's sake as to prove their right to remove the chains. It is also possible to remove this Noble Phantasm by forcefully dropping one's LCK stat and losing all gained riches.
On the other hand, the more riches one amasses and the more luck they possess, the tighter the chains will become until eventually they reach a point where they can crush the enemy's body. Due to this Heroic Spirits such as Arjuna or Siegfried who have constantly been awarded in life or amassed a large amount of riches will feel the full capability of this Noble Phantasm. Though Mao's power in regards to fighting older Heroic Spirits is pathetic, it is because of this Noble Phantasm that he can potentially become a dark horse despite his lackluster fighting power.

Great Chinese Famine
Type: Anti-Army, Anti-Mystery
Rank: B+
Range: 1~40
Max. Target: 50 people
Mao's most powerful Noble Phantasm that is the crystallization of his most horrible deed - the Great Leap Forward campaign - which was the cause of the worst human made famine in history that resulted in the deaths of millions. It was the campaign that aimed to transform and modernize the country from that of an agrarian economy into a socialist society through rapid industrialization and collectivization. This Noble Phantasm represents one of the worst mass killing in the history of human kind with coercion, terror and violence as it's foundation.
It's activation is only possible after he has achieved a certain quota through his prior two Noble Phantasm; which is produce enough man force through his first Noble Phantasm and collect enough riches from his second Noble Phantasm. Once such quota has been met, Mao is allowed to command his forces to began building constructs imbued with Magecrafts through the finest riches obtained by his second Noble Phantasm. It is a mass production that ranges from weaponry for attack to defensive items such as shields. Each and every of these construct is a Noble Phantasm in itself. They can range from Anti-Unit to Anti-Army to Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasms. The only thing they share in common is their title as Noble Phantasm created through sheer effort of modern humankind and their purpose is to act as an absolute counter-attack to mysteries that have manifested from prior to the Age of Man - as such they possess adequate power when faced off against Servants that are from the Age of Gods.
They are absolute 「Mystery-Piercing Spears」 that are proof of China's modernization during Mao's time. However, there is a reason why Mao is required to fill in the quota described previously. Depending on the power of each unique Noble Phantasm being built, Mao's forces will start depleting through disintegration in exchange for the Noble Phantasm being produced as proof of the many lives which were taken as a cost by the Great Leap Forward campaign. As it was once said, it is an expensive disaster that in exchange for power takes the lives of many. Because of this, Mao can only produce a certain amount of anti-mystery Noble Phantasm before he runs out of man-force or material depending on the conditions.
