On the contrary, as far as I know of Roland's legend, his last task is to defend the fleeing army of Charlemagne with jsut a few people because the Muslims are chasing them in waves. Roland is explicitly ordered that if he sees he can't hold the mountain pass, he should sound the horn. He fights to the point that he can't even stand upright and nearly all of his people are dead after stopping wave after wave of Muslims. And then Roland actually uses the horn so his uncle the king can come and try to save whatever survivors of Roland's unit are left. He puts so much power behind it that his heart bursts and he died on the spot.

At least that's the version I know and IMO Oliphaunt has always being associated with Roland.

No, you misunderstand. I dont have anything against the item (Oliphant), just the effect. Charlemagnes army is Charlemagnes to call, imo. Not Rolands. In addition to that, when he blew Oliphant, he was the last of the Twelve surviving, so it would be reasonable to expect that they would not be included (since none of the Twelve showed up to save him in the legend) in the effect.

The White Death would really be a game-breaker IMO. And his probably going to have an Endurance rating of A+ considering what that guy lived through.

White Death: A+.
A noble phantasm that forces the enemy into a reality marble consisting of a Finnish woodland in winter. The cold will cause damage based on the native climate of the enemy, the warmer the climate of their home, the more the cold will damage and disable them. To top it off, Hahya will fire powerful, mana-infused bullets into the enemy, capable of taking down some servants in one shot, particularly after considering the effects of the cold.

This Noble Phantasm embodies the spread of tales and myths of legendary feats of speed during the days of the Wild West. From immense training and experience, Archer will always fire first in a battle against Noble Phantasms and kill. Even if the target activates theirs first, Archer will had shot before them; cancelling out their action. It is avoidable, but to counter it effectively, one needs a high rank of Luck, not Speed. Speed is irrelevant because Archer will always fire first. Luck will determine who will die and who will live.

DRIFTER is not an orthodox Servant in that he has no single identity. He is the amalgamation of all the heroes of Western stories told around the world. Stories of men or women who traversed the American West and became legendary heroes or villains from their amazing feats.

Bazett shoots Fraggle normally, Quick draw shoots first. Fraggle is now the second attack, Retaliator activates, Fraggle wins again because it's now Rank A?

Or they both die either way, like Fraggle vs Gae Bolg?

Fraggle hits first (because it always "hits first" due to timehax).

Thats how I see it. And Fraggle has higher rank when in "Retaliator" mode.

Servant: Longinus
Class: Lancer


Background: Initially nameless, Longinus is the Roman Centurion who is known for piercing the side of the crucified Jesus with his spear, and when water and blood spilled forth, asserting that Jesus was the son of God. After his death he was named a Saint, and several apocryphal stories exist, including ones of him suffering eternal torment much like the Greek titan Prometheus, and losing his sight and becoming a preacher. The latter is represented here.

Sainthood – C (grants a minor boost to stats for being named a Saint, based on importance/fame as a Saint)

Clairvoyance – A (grants sight even if blinded, can see slightly into the future, plus the bonuses of lower ranks)


Blindness – EX (This servant is irrevocably blind, however in some cases this can be fixed, see above)


Noble Phantasm:


Longinus – The Spear of Destiny A+


Saint Longinus' only Noble Phantasm is the spear or lance that shares his name, and is considered one of the greatest Christian relics. It increases Saint Longinus' power output based on the divinity of his foe exponentially*. When its name is invoked, its next strike will never miss Saint Longinus' foe, however this strike, no matter how wounded the foe is or how much damage the strike deals, will never kill. There is no escape from the Spear of Destiny when its power is called upon, regardless of MGI or LCK. In addition, anyone killed with the spear will return extra prana to Saint Longinus, in the case of a magic user or fellow Servant, this amount is always exactly as much as they have left just before their death.


If the spear is ever destroyed, Saint Longinus will be doomed to die, and will be entirely unable to regenerate prana or heal from wounds, regardless of restoration magic used, as this is the holy lance's curse: to kill whomever loses it.

* For example, a Servant with E rank Divinity would suffer a small amount of extra damage, while one with A rank Divinity would be doomed unless they were particularly powerful.

Overall he's fairly average, just boosted up by being a Saint and by having his super duper spear. As an addendum to the anti-Divine properties, an example of how effective it would be would be that it would allow him to fight on par with Heracles, but at the same time make him at about the same level or a bit stronger than Medusa against her.

Saint: Signifies being known as a saint. When summoned as a Servant, a Saint's ability is chosen as one out of: "raise the effectiveness of sacraments", "automatic HP recovery", "Charisma rank up by 1", or "can produce a holy shroud".

Joan of Arc's in Apocrypha. Don't think there was anything mentioning its rank.

Every since he was old enough to walk, Berserker rang the bells of the Notre Dame cathedral. This Noble Phantasm causes all those in the area to suffer from raucous ringing caused by the bells. With the pull of a rope, all targets within range are stunned by the ringing lowering END and STR by one rank for several rounds. Berserker is immune due to him being deaf from years of being the bell-ringer for the cathedral.
