Let's just not talk about that and instead concentrate on Notes/ME, that would be cooler.

Black Barrel/Slash Emperor VS. the Reapers? Seems a bit onesided....

I have a question about this - considering Reapers can fire from halfway across the Solar System, and considering that Slash Emperor, in order to grow, needs to consume the earth, wouldn't that mean Slash Emperor would end up destroying the earth well before it reached any of the Reapers? If they were playing it smart?

Also, Black Barrel is limited by it's wielder, who I very much doubt can fire across interstellar ranges.
"Don't play pretend, boyo. That's not the way to fight."

    "But it's all I know!"

"Oh? You seem to have misunderstood, boyo. Don't play, and don't pretend. If you must be someone else to be of use, become that person fully. Encapsulate yourself into their form, physically, mentally and spiritually."

"After all, if all of Creation reveals itself to you, then surely the existence of another entity, no matter how alien should not escape you, no?"

Isn't the Black Barrel only effective on targets that have Grain or Ether in their system? And aren't the inhabitants of the Notes section of the verse hax enough to not need the black Barrel or Slash Emp to win?

Considering that it's outright stated that most of the inhabitants of the Land of Steel have the destructive power of a nuke at their fingertips I feel kinda bad for the reapers.

Both sides can basically fling nuke-equivalents around with ease.

The only difference is that Reapers can do so with impunity from halfway across the Solar System, while the denizens of Notes ... can't.

There's also the little thing where we've seen repeatedly in ME that there are numerous ways to cause planet-wide catastrophes/destroy planets (Bringing Down The Sky, the Krogan science experiment that destroyed a moon/planetoid). Reapers should also be able to do similar.

Aye...and the poor bastards are stuck on earth.

While the Reapers know that a planet can't dodge.

Wow, how far in the future is Notes supposed to be?

And don't the Reapers need to come down to earth to harvest people?

I have this hilarious image in my head of a wounded Ado Edem flat on his back, yelling at the Earth like Piccolo yelled at Gohan in Abridged:

    "Why didn't you DOOOOODDDDGGGGEEEE?!"

Wow, how far in the future is Notes supposed to be?

About a thousand years, IIRC, but no space travel. Apparently, humans decided to explore magic and transhumanism rather than trying to colonize other planets.

Considering the implications of the existence of Gaia's Supreme Reality Marble, kinda justified.

And Reapers don't need to harvest people. If there are too many problems with harvesting the race, they just blow them the hell up. They did so with lesser races in the previous cycles.

At least AD 3000, judging from the statement on what time Crimson Moon comes back.

They couldn't just terraform a place after killing the planet proper?

Look at it this way: in the Nasuverse, the planet needs a Supreme Reality Marble to sustain life. That's what you'd have to rebuild, not just the atmosphere or the like.

Just make a golden throne, feed it countless souls and make Shirou sit on it. They can live in a planet of swords.

Yeah, through the use of Soylent Green (metaphor, not literal - you get the idea).
