Thread: Create-a-Servant

  1. #12781
    Class: Saber
True Name: Dà Yû, Yu the Great
    Gender: Male
    Alignment: Neutral Good

    Background:
    Spoiler:
Dà Yû, more commonly known as Yu the Great of China, was the first Emperor of China and founder of the Xia Dynasty, as well as the great hero who saved the country from the floods which plagued it in the origin of the world.

Not much is known even historically about the man, and as a heroic spirit his abilities are formed by the cumulation of various legends, though the man himself certainly existed in life.

Tales surrounding Yu involve him befriending various mythological animals, slaying draconic subordinates of Gong Gong and, most importantly, taming the flood which plagued his Country through endless struggle and dedication.

As a person, Yu is gentle, kind, and helpful to others to a fault, to the extent of being neglectful to his own health and what others perceive as his personal happiness. Unlike a certain Japanese counter-guardian, this is not due to some mental affliction, but simply personal priorities. He is, in fact, Hedonistic to his core, but gains such great pleasure from helping people which he does not know personally that it becomes his modus Operandi. Should he obtain the grail, he would wish for those who he never met or was able to save in life to find happiness. Truly a saint without the title.

    Faceclaim:
    Spoiler:

    Parameters:

    Strength – A
    Endurance – A
    Agility – C
    Mana - B
    Luck – A
    Noble Phantasm – EX

    Class Skills:

    Magic Resistance – B rank

Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.

    Riding – C rank

The ability to ride and commandeer vehicles. At this rank, any mundane land or sea vehicle is within Saber's capability of operating with sufficient skill, though he is unable to command a crew of sailors on larger ships.

    Personal Skills:

    Dragon Killer – C rank

The ability to hunt and kill dragons, or their kin. At this rank, Saber can identify one descended by dragons through scent or sufficient combat, as well as gain a rank up to all attacks when fighting one. Once Saber has identified a dragon, he may track them by scent so long as they do not make a deliberate attempt to mislead him.

Protection of the Water Spirits – A rank

The favour of nature sprits which reside in water. At this rank, Saber may generate and accompany water with his attacks in a similar form to Prana Burst (flames), as well as traverse water with absolute freedom. Water-based magecraft and Noble Phantasms are so greatly degraded against him that it would require an incredibly powerful Noble Phantasm to have any effect.

Saint Without Name – A- rank

The charismatic nature of a person who lives for others sake and is amicable to all, regardless of circumstances. Foes without skills to resist mental interference are naturally drawn to cooperate with Saber, and those without high ranks in magic resistance receive a rank-down on their parameters if they attack him unprovoked.

As an exception to this rule, none of these effects apply to Saber's master or allies who decide to betray them. Saber in life managed to maintain popularity and unconditional love with all but those closest to him.

    Animal Dialogue – D+ rank

The ability to converse with animals without a language of words. At this rank, complex ideas and conversation cannot be conveyed, only general, short ideas such as “That man is bad.” or “You should help me.” can be communicated. However, due to Saber's other skills, it is very unlikely that even the most wicked of animals would refuse to assist him.

    Noble Phantasms:

    Qiege Xirang, Abridged Earth-splitting blade – B+ rank Anti-Army (Range 1-20, Targets 1-100)

A divine axe granted to Saber by Pangu, the original and most powerful Deity in Chinese mythology in order to calm the great flood, this Axe never actually existed, instead created solely by the legends written about Saber after his death. In spite of this, the background of the weapon is so great that it forms a strong Noble Phantasm.

This noble phantasm is activated by striking soil with its head and calling out its true name. Upon activation, the mass of soil struck begins to expand immensely and form a shape to Saber's will. The speed of this effect is dependant on how fertile the soil struck is. Common farmland soil or riverbed silt will form the mass which Saber wills almost instantly, while arid landscapes will form at a speed in which more nimble servants may escape with ease. Common applications of the effect are to re-form the landscape or to attempt to crush and bury Saber's opponent under the mass of the soil used.

Adorned with bronze markings representing a nine-headed serpent on the blade end of the axe, with two entwining shafts leading to it, this weapons feels more of an ornamental weapon than a practical one, and as such Saber rarely uses it as a weapon in direct combat.

Houji, Great Yu Controls the Waters – EX rank Anti-World (Range 1-99, Targets 1-100,000)

An ancient black and metal blade, this is a construct in a similar way to Ea, one which existed before the concept of the world, embodying the myths of great floods across all Mythology. Saber found this blade in the aftermath of the Great Flood, and named it after his closest friend, who died near the end of his attempts.

This blade is a fragment of Gaia's power, and holds control and materialization of an unstoppable flood of water. When its true name is called and unleashed at its full power, this blade can destroy an entire continent, though Saber would never use it at that level of power.

The flood of water is one holding the concept of complete desolation, an unending torrent which cannot be blocked, evaporated or contained. Should one face such an attack, the only means of avoiding death would be an equal or greater mass conceptual attack such as Ea, an absolute defence along the lines of Luminoshte Eternelle, or killing Saber before the defender dies. The power of this Noble Phantasm only exists in accordance with Saber's eventual mastery of the waters, and as such this Noble Phantasm cannot be used by anyone other than Saber himself, even if stolen by the effects of other Servants.

    ---

I've taken some Nasu-style creative liberties with his background, and trying to account for the fact that his legend is far more obscure than most mythological figures. I'm happy to explain why I decided on specific NP's and skills, though.

Please go easy on me, I've been doing servant creation for a while but never posted to BL, and the level to which some people tear apart servant profiles on here is pretty scary.

    Class: Saver
    Gender: Male
    Alignment: Neutral Good
    Attribute: Sky

    Strength: D
    Endurance: D
    Agility: C
    Mana: EX
    Luck: E
    Noble Phantasm: A

    Class Skills:
    Charisma: A-
As the main figure of the largest religion of the world, Saver possesses an extremely high rank in this skill. However, due to His own pacifist nature, effectiveness greatly drops during combat.

    Counter Hero: A
Any "Hero" or "Antihero" Servant fighting against Saver will suffer 3 rank-downs to all parameters.

    Personal Skills:
    Divinity: A+
Being the Son of God, part of the Holy Trinity, human and divine at the same time, Saver possesses the highest rank possible in this skill. Because of His Father's all-encompassing domain, Saver's defense is greatly increased when facing any other Servant with Divinity.

    Miracle: EX
The ability to make the impossible possible. A skill similar to Pioneer of the Stars, but essentially different. While many different Heroic Spirits possess it, there are differences on what miracles they can perform; however, in Saver's case, He can effectively perform all kinds of miracles. Healing, exorcism, animal control, elemental manipulation and transmutation are among the most notable miracles He performed in life.

    Soul of a Martyr: EX
As the ultimate martyr, born for the sole purpose of suffering and dying to save humanity, Saver is effectively immune to all kinds of mental interference. In addition to this, using a Command Spell to force Saver to do something against His will yields no result.

    Noble Phantasms
    Blood of the Covenant
    Holy Chalice
    - Anti-Unit, Rank B
A humble wooden chalice used during the Last Supper. The holy vessel that once contained Jesus' blood in the event that originated the Christian ritual of Eucharist, or Holy Communion. Any liquid that is contained inside the Chalic acquires an Anti-Evil property. Humans who come into contact with this liquid will obtain peace of mind and freedom from guilt, knowing that their past wrongs have been forgiven. However, it causes great damage to beings that are inherently sinful, such as Evil Servants (the culmination of an evil legend) and pagan Divine Spirits and demigods.

    Hail, King of Jews!
    Crown of Thorns
    - Anti-Unit (Self), Rank A
A crown of thorny vines placed on the head of Jesus by Roman soldiers during the Passion of Christ, in order to mock Him and cause Him pain. The Crown of Thorns is a symbol of Jesus suffering at humanity's hands for humanity's sake. Upon activation, the crown manifests around Saver's head, causing Him pain and constant (albeit small) damage. As long as this Noble Phantasm remains active, no human within a 100 meter radius of Jesus takes any form of damage; all damage they would have taken is redirected to Him. This includes damage from attacks that don't target single entities, such as most Anti-Army and Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasms, dragon breath, large explosions, etc.

Three Days and Three Nights in the Heart of the Earth
    Shroud of Christ
    - Barrier, Rank A
The white shroud used to wrap the corpse of Christ for the three days in which He was dead. A relic of the highest grade, superior to all the saint shrouds used by the Holy Church, it protects the wearer from any form of bodily degradation. As long as someone wears the Shroud of Christ, they will not age, hunger or thirst, and take no physical damage from any attack. Effectively, their body will be preserved as it was when they put the Shroud on. In order to harm the wearer, one must first destroy the Shroud of Christ, which requires an offensive Noble Phantasm of higher rank. The Shroud will still protect the wearer from the attack that destroys it.

I Am the Resurrection and the Life
    Jesus Wept
    - Anti-Unit, Rank EX
The ultimate miracle that Jesus performs - ressurrection of the dead, something equal to True Magic. By making full use of the Miracle skill, Saver can bring a dead person back to life, by restoring their corpse to full health, regenerating the dispersed soul, and placing the soul back on the body. It does not matter how long the person has been dead, or how little of the body remains - as long as something remains, a person can be brought back, with the same memories they had at the moment of their death.

    Lore & Personality
Son of God Almighty (YHVH), born from the Virgin Mary, descendant of King David, in 1st century Judea. A cornerstone of the West. The Messiah, who performed several miracles but, most importantly, spread the Word of His Father to the people, words of love and peace and forgiveness, and with them gathered many followers. And for that, He was persecuted, mocked and killed. All part of a great plan; He was the sacrifical Lamb of God, who died for all the sins of humanity. And for 3 days He remained dead, before returning for 40 more days before reuniting with His Father.

Jesus of Nazareth loves all that is good, and hates all that is evil, but above everything, he possesses an unconditional love for humanity. A pacifist, he will avoid using his abilities to harm others as much as possible. Despite his divine nature, he is humble and kind, and would rather spend his time healing the suffering (physical, mental and spiritural) of men. He has no wish for the Grail, because He already saved everyone through His sacrifice on the cross.

It is possible that this might not be the real Jesus of Nazareth, but instead mankind's perception of how that person was. But... could an individual born out of ideas really be this powerful?

Don't know whether A+ Divinity fits.
Also I'm kinda sad that you didn't include a revelations related NP
Aus Feuer ward der Geist geschaffen,
drum schenkt mir süßes Feuer ein!
Die Lust der Lieder und der Waffen,
die Lust der Liebe schenkt mir ein,
    der Trauben süßes Sonnenblut,
das Wunder glaubt und Wunder thut!

Well, Herk is a half-god, ascended to godhood and has Divinity A.
Jesus, however, was pretty Divine Spirit-y while alive, and there's the whole "part of the Holy Trinity" thing

And a Revelations NP would be kinda weird, since it's not an ability Jesus has all the time, but something he'll do at the end of the world. HE doesn't get to choose when it starts.

Well who else decides when the World ends?

Biblically, Jesus basically says that one of the few things that He doesn't know is when the end of the world is - that that's His Father's purview.

    Class: Assassin

True Name: Lady Ragnell, Dame Ragnell

    Gender: Female

    Alignment:Neutral

    Background:
    Spoiler:
One of Sir Gawain of the Round Table's wives, and said to be the most loved of them all. At a young age, she was cursed by her stepmother, who was envious of her natural beauty, and forced to either appear as an ugly hag during either daytime or nightime for each day of herlife, until she married a man who recognized her sovereignty as a woman.

Being a disillusioned old witch, her bitter relative never expected the curse to be lifted, however due to circumstance and an opportunistic approach by Assassin, she managed to enable a situation wherein one of Arthur's knights was forced to marry her in order to save their king's life. Furthermore, the man who married her was Sir Gawain, the most respectful of all knights toward women. It was a mere eventuality that her curse would be lifted.

After the events of her well-known legend, she went on to use the sovereignty which Gawain granted her in order to perform information gathering and political manipulation for the knights of Camelot, tracking civil unrest and relaying information while posing as a common minstrel.

Assassin, despite her summoned class, greatly dislikes violence and prefers to resolve disputes through espionage, manipulation and diplomacy if possible. However, she will fight using magecraft on the level of a top-class modern magus if she is forced to defend herself.

Her sole wish for the grail is to spend a regular lifetime with her one and only husband, having regrets over both the couple spending a large chunk of their lives dedicated to their country, instead of revelling in their love for one-another.

    Faceclaim:
    Spoiler:

    Parameters:

    Strength –E (D)

    Endurance– E (D)
    Agility – C (B)
    Mana – B (A)
    Luck – A+
    Noble Phantasm – D

    Class Skills:

    Espionage– B rank

The ability to conceal hostility from the enemy. A substitute for Presence Concealment, this skill instead makes it so that this servant does not appear notable or give off the presence of a servant, even when fully materialized. At this rank, Assassin may observe and closely interact with servants or masters without giving away her status as a servant, although prolonged interaction will alert a servant of her presence.

Preparations for aggressive action, obviously, removes the effect.

    Personal Skills:

    Mystic Body – C+ rank

Assassin was said to be one of the fairest women in Camelot, and has a gentle disposition to match. At this rank, males are strongly inclined to agree with Assassin and not suspect her, though magic resistance and resistance to mental effects reduce this effect. Unlike most variations of this skill, this effect is not magical or a curse, but simply a natural trait of being. As such, its effects cannot be detected like regular magic or mind-affecting skills.

    Human Observation – B rank

The ability to deduce information about humans by observing their mannerisms, reactions, appearance and emotive response. At this rank,Assassin is capable of discerning major information about people she interacts with after a few minutes of conversation, or after discussing an appropriate riddle. Information such as occupation, preference in approaching diplomatic situations and combat, as well as general personality can be gleamed from such actions.

    Noble Phantasms:

Two-sided Maiden, Transient curse for the fair and beautiful – D rank Personal

The embodiment of the curse afflicting Assassin for most of her life, a two-sided charm in both nature and effect.

At the beginning of each day, Assassin must choose to either take on the form of a fair maiden or hag for the daytime. When she is in the form of a maiden, her ranks in both Agility and Mana increase, with no drawbacks. While in the form of a hag, her ranks in both Strength and Endurance increase, however her Mystic Body skill is sealed and considered useless. When the sun sets, Assassin takes on the form which she chose not to “wear” during daytime until the dawn of the next day.

To both servants and humans who have observed both forms of Assassin, they cannot draw any connection in appearance between the two forms, however one with sufficient deduction skills can note their similar, or rather identical personalities. One to do so earns Assassin's respect, however, as they are capable of seeing a woman's worth and character beyond their appearance.

    ---

Another one, and this time a sheet nobody's really done before. So yay producing a minor servant over a single Arturian legend! I also wanted to mess around a little with the skill Mata Hari introduced in F/GO, except on a servant who can put it to good use.

Loved it! Great sheet, great adaptation. I'm kind of sad there wasn't any "Harrowing of Hell" NP or similar. :-P
More seriously, though: I'm not sure the Crown of Thorns is a great concept. I mean, as you acknowledge, its whole point was to be an instrument of mockery; it seems contradictory for it to work by forcing people to feel shame at Christ's sacrifice. Since the Romans mocked Christ's claims of being the son of God, only for Him to rise again three days later, maybe you could rework the crown of thorns to reflect that? Or maybe something that reflects the whole of Christ's suffering, death and transfiguration?

Maybe have it as a Noble Phantasm that "hides" his power from others (since the son of God couldn't possibly be humiliated like that or something), making them think he's weak, a la Uncrowned Arms Mastership?

Been itching to make this guy since I made my Sundiata sheet. Here's the villain of his story!

    Class: Caster
    True Name: Soumaoro Kante
    Allignment: Chaotic Evil
    Natural Enemy: Sundiata Kieta

    Stats
    STR: E
    END: E
    AGI: D
    MGI: A+
    LCK: D

    Class Skills

    Territory Creation: B+
The ability to create territory advantageous to a magus. At this rank it is possible to create a workshop. Strength increases with the amount of fetishes created.

    Item Creation: A
The ability to craft magical items. Caster’s skill in creating fetishes, statues and other similar objects imbued with magical energy, is the highest in African folklore. It is said that his chamber was filled with magical totems, a giant snake, walls and furniture made of human skin, and a throne topped with the heads of nine kings killed by Caster. Caster can create countless undead warriors to fight on his behalf. Caster is also able to create magical totems that prevent him from being killed; when he would take a fatal blow, the totem is destroyed in his place. Caster can create as many fetishes as he wishes, but he must imbue them with massive amounts of prana for each totem. As a result, making multiple totems hard to achieve. And while these fetishes are powerful, each are weak to a weapon with the crest of a white rooster, the taboo animal that helped to destroy Caster’s magic in his legend.

    Skills

    Eye for Art: A
The ability to take note of artistic talent. Caster loved music, even creating his own musical instrument, the balafon. His ear for musical talent is so great that he can tell who an enemy servant is if they are particularly skilled. However, this skill is more of a curse than anything, as his respect for musicians is so great, that he is more likely to befriend them rather than use any knowledge gained against them, as he did when he met with his arch-nemeses’ griot, a skilled musician and storyteller.

    Sorcerer King: A
The acknowledgement that one has become a king of magic. Caster’s title of the sorcerer king of Sosso was well known across Africa. Nobody, not even the hero Sundiata could ever hope to stand up to his magic on equal ground, and had to find other ways of defeating him. This skill always ensures that whenever summoned, no matter location, master skill, or time period, Soumaoro will always have the skill of a first class magus, as his title of sorcerer king is absolute.

    Intimidation: A
The ability to lead through fear. Allows the user to paralyze the foe with fear, and to order others through the force of one’s presence. Cancels out Bravery that is lower in rank than this skill, though those with a rank equal or higher than A will be immune to this skill. Prevents one from having an equal rank in Charisma, as the servant led through subjugation rather than justice.

    Disengage: C
The ability to break away from combat and return conditions to what they were at the beginning of the match.

    Noble Phantasm

    The Great Balafon: A
A mystical instrument created by Caster, resembling a wooden xylophone. The balafon is capable of creating and controlling a mystical fire that was created by Casters’ ancestors. The fire will never burn out so long as Caster is playing, and the flames will only grow more chaotic as time goes on. If the balafon is played long enough, it will also activate a secondary effect; the nine kings slain by Caster will be reanimated as nightmarish creatures, and will battle on Caster’s behalf.

While this noble phantasm is quite powerful, Caster must continuously play in order to use its full potential. As such, he is locked in place by its side, relying on his magic and undead warriors to keep enemies at bay. If Caster has run out of totems, then he will put himself at great risk.

    Background:
Soumaoro Kante was the sorcerer king of Sosso, and the main villain of the Epic of Sundiata. Descendant of a line of smiths who could harness the power of fire, Soumaoro used his great magic to turn his small village of Sosso into a powerful empire. A master craftsman, he filled his chamber with countless magical objects, including furniture and a throne made of his enemies’ bodies. He conquered countless kingdoms, and slayed many kings, before he was stopped by Sundiata, who had come to reclaim his home of Mali. While they clashed many times, Soumaoro always retreated before his army was overwhelmed by Sundiata’s bravery, and with his totems increasing his power to near immortality, it was believed that he was invincible.

However, the night before their final clash, Sundiata sacrificed 100 white oxen, 100 white rams, and 100 white roosters, and in return, he was met by his griot and half-sister, who had escaped from Soumaoro’s clutches. Sundiata’s half-sister knew of Soumaoro’s weakness; a white rooster. Armed with this knowledge, Sundiata crafted a bow that had the spur of one of these roosters in it, and during their final battle, Soumaoro was knicked by the arrow. Though it did not kill him, the arrow drained him of his ability to use magic. Left utterly powerless, Soumaoro fled into the mountains, and was never seen again. Sundiata went on to take Soumaoro’s kingdom and found the powerful Mali Empire.

Soumaoro is a powerful ally, so long as one makes sure not to cross his path. However, one must be able to keep him sufficiently powered, as his magic requires vast amounts of prana to use at its full potential. Without a backup source, he can very easily drain his master of energy without a care in the world. His only wish is to once again meet and battle with his rival Sundiata.

This one was a fun one to write, as when I was doing the research for the sheet, I found lots to make him a crazy servant, with the necromancy, and the never-ending fire. His only real skill is in his magic, but man was his magic strong. A little worried about the totems though. I made it so he had to use a lot of mana to make them, but maybe I should put a limit on how many he can make so he isn't too overpowered? It ties into his legend of being hard to kill, and its basically what he had in the legend, but for a war it'd be hard to take him out unless someone else was lucky enough to summon Sundiata. Thoughts?

Edit: Weakened Eye for Art. Glad that he came out well!

Yay for another interesting African character. These African sorcerers are pretty hardcore.

My rule of thumb for determining if a character is overpowered or not is the Gilgamesh rule: as long as Gil wipes the floor with them it's fair play (not that no-one can ever be a match for him, though it should be very exceptional). Well, in this case by having a very clear weak point Soumaoro is particularly vulnerable (Gil would probably have the prototype of Sundiata's rooster bow).
And in any case I don't think he's particularly overpowered, at least for what I'm imagining from a first read; if the totems are as hard to make as you say Soumaoro would have a few extra lives at most; it wouldn't be close to God Hand, which also gives near invulnerability. Even with some dozens of lives a knight class with strong Magic Resistance could probably just keep killing him until he runs out (not that it should necessarily be easy; it could actually be a pretty interesting match to read)

    Servant Berserker:

    True Name: Hou Yi

    Alignment: Lawful Mad (Lawful Good)

    Alternate Class: Archer

    Strength- B
    Agility- A+
    Endurance- B
    Mana- A
    Luck- C
    NP- A+

Equipment: "Tiān Gōng" (Eng. Heaven's Bow); An indestructible longbow carved from the bones of a monstrous tiger he slew in one of his first adventures. Inscribed with ornate patterns resembling flames, and the drawstring shines a brilliant red. Also has thousands of unbreakable arrow shafts carved from the tendons of a rogue dragon.

    Appearance:

(Only with a slightly more monstrous appearance, like the difference between regular Lancelot and Berserker Lancelot)

Personality: He was once a great hero championed and beloved by humanity, defending from many threats such as monsters and demons. however he succumbed to madness after the loss of his wife Chang-e and become known as a tyrant. He is now little more than a brutal and savage beast, screaming with his every word the name of his beloved whom he can never again meet. A hero betrayed by love, and turned into a monster. He sacrificed everything and went against the Gods themselves for the sake of humanity, only for his legend to come to a bitter end as a tyrant reviled by humanity. In his distorted mind, he may consider a female Master to be the incarnation of his lost wife, which would make him more manageable as a Servant. His wish on the Holy Grail is, obviously enough, to meet again with his beloved Chang-e (or get "her" to regain her memories of him, if he thinks his Master is her).

    Likes: his wife, moonlight
    Dislikes: excessive heat, monsters
    Talent: impossible feats of marksmanship
Natural Enemy: anything that endangers humanity

    Class Skills:

Mad Enhancement (A)- Gives a rank-up to all physical parameters, but at this rank most sanity is lost. Some Skills or Noble Phantasms may be rendered sealed. Only the thought of his wife Chang-e can possibly halt his rampages in this state.

    Personal Skills:

Defender Of Humanity (X)- One anointed by the heavens to defend the World and humanity from various threats. When facing any foe deemed an "enemy of humanity" his parameters will always be one rank higher then those of the opponent. However, due to the effects of Mad Enhancement this Skill has been lost. His original rank was (A).

Eternal Bow Mastery (A+)- Skills with a bow that do not degrade under the effects of mental interference. A skill granted to those heroes deemed "the greatest" of their respective eras. Even when beset with madness, Berserker's aim and prowess with a bow remains unyielding, his technique engrained into his very bones.

Clairvoyance (A)- enhances visual perception. At this rank, the Servant is capable of accurate aim in a ten-kilometer range. No speed is too fast to escape his eyes. Capable of targeting things as long as he knows they are there, no matter if he sees them or not. Hou Yi was capable of aiming and shooting down the ten sunbirds from the earth's surface, a feat of archery truly worthy of a god.

Divinity (C)- measures one's aptitude as a Divine Spirit. Originally Hou Yi was a full god of archery, but his divinity was stripped from him as punishment for killing the emperor's nine children the sunbirds, saying that if he cared so much about mortals he could simply live as one. Because of this his rank is lower then it was originally, merely (C) rather then (A++).

Prana Burst (Flames) (B)- a version of Prana Burst that impregnates weapons with Magical Energy to impart a flame effect. In Berserker's case, he usually channels this Skill through his arrows, creating flaming arrows that explode upon impacting a target. Rank would be (A) if not for his lost Divinity.

    Noble Phantasm:

Tàiyáng Niǎo Pāi- Shooting Down The Nine Suns (A+, Anti-Army): a Noble Phantasm crystallizing Berserker's most famous feat, when he with his bow, took aim and shot down the shot down the nine sunbirds scourging the earth with their heat. He would have sniped the last one as well if not for the Emperor begging him to stop, saying that his act would plunge the world into permanent darkness.

Berserker aims upwards and fires nine arrows skyward, rising into the upper atmosphere until they appear as little more then points of golden light in the heavens. The arrows then come hurtling down in the form of nine miniature suns, representing the fall of the sunbirds from Heaven after they were shot by Hou Yi. Each arrow hits the ground with the force of a self-contained supernova, and the nine together are capable of reducing an entire battleground into an ashen wasteland. Morever, as each arrow embodies "the fall of a celestial body", they do double damage against foes associated with the stars or heavens. Normally this Noble Phantasm would come with a requirement that he must deliver a warning to the opponent(s) before he uses it (as he did with the sunbirds), but as Berserker this limitation has been lost.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Probably not the most original sheet I know (and his NP is basically ripped from Hou Yi's ultimate Skill in Smite) but I just couldn't get the idea out of my head until I wrote it out. Originally planned him as Archer, but I thought the "fallen hero" side of Hou Yi was more interesting and had more narrative potential then just "flawless super-awesome monster slaying hero". He'd be pretty dangerous in a Grail War, as he's basically an Archer and Berserker all in one package. At least Lancelot tier, I'd say. As always, try to drop by with comments and criticisms!

Alright, thanks! That makes me feel better about him, and yeah, it would actually be weaker version than God Hand, which I somehow forgot about. And yeah, a high magic resist stat would probably be able to handle him, although the undead warriors can definitely even the odds, considering Medea's skeleton warriors can stand against servants. Also, I was surprised by how hardcore Soumaoro is. I'd be pretty terrified to meet him, even with my own servant considering the walls of human skin.

    Servant Caster:

    True Name: Saint Patrick

Alignment: Lawful Good/Lawful Evil in storyline terms

    Summoning Catalyst: his crozier

    Alternate Class: Ruler

    Strength- C
    Agility- D
    Endurance- D+
    Mana- B
    Luck- A
    NP- EX

Appearance: a tall older man, highly muscular for his age and with a long, flowing white beard down to his upper chest. He's clad in simple, yet unmistakably regal looking green and gold robes and carries a crozier made from an ash tree, sporting elaborate vine-like patterns along the shaft and a shamrock design on the curved end. He has extremely weary looking dark brown eyes, as if burdened by all the suffering in the world. At the same time, his eyes shine with the fervor of someone willing to resort to any means to accomplish their goals.

Personality: Caster is someone who gives off the impression of an goodhearted and sagely man, abounding with wisdom. His experience as a slave lead to him losing faith in the goodness of humanity, and believing that only God's grace could cleanse the world. His compassion with the poor and suffering runs deep, and he converted a great many people across Ireland through his passionate and devout work. But, no matter how many he's saved, Caster cannot help but feel an unbearable pain in his heart for the billions still left unsaved. For that reason, it's his greatest (in fact, only) wish to see the kingdom of God extended across the entire world, eliminating all conflict by forcibly converting everyone to Christianity. Declaring it his goal to grant unconditional salvation to everyone in the world, that man dyes his hands in untold numbers of sins.

    Likes: spread of Christendom
Dislikes: this world of suffering, snakes
    Talent: evangelizing
    Natural Enemy: High King Laoire

    Class Skills:

Territory Creation (A)- allows for the creation of a "Holy Cathedral" equivalent to a "Temple" where his magical prowess is greatly enhanced.

Item Construction (C)- can craft only minor magical artifacts, such as crosses that give a small degree of protection against pagan sorceries, equivalent to Magic Resistance (D).

    Personal Skills:

Saint (B)- Denotes one recognized as a saint. When summoned as a Servant, the ability of Saint is selected one among "raising the effectiveness of sacraments", "automatic HP recovery", "1 Rank-Up to Charisma" and "production of a holy shroud is possible". By far the most well-known saint in all of Ireland, his fame is easily on-par with the like of Jeanne D'arc.

Discourse (A++)- The ability to understand the perspectives of others, and to present one's own viewpoint as favorably as possible. Patrick was a missionary famous for converting much of Ireland into Christianity from it's native Druidism, largely through his ability to empathize with the Irish and present his viewpoint in terms they could understand.

Magecraft (C+)- Knowledge of orthodox Thaumaturgy. Caster was a skilled Magus capable of performing a diverse array of spells as his "miracles", including the creation of an unextinguishable flame, placing curses upon his adversaries and changing the shape of himself and others into various animals.

Soldier Of God (A)- Is the Judeo-Christian God bestowing his chosen with the talents needed to spread Christianity amongst the peoples. Grants Caster the Skills Military Tactics, Charisma and Revelation that he would not otherwise possess, as well as bonuses to the practice of Magecraft. These can only be invoked for the purpose of spreading Christianity.

    Noble Phantasms:

Nathair Ar Bane- Begone, O Serpents! (C~A, Anti-Unit): A Noble Phantasm embodying Caster's most famous miracle, allegedly banishing all the serpents from Ireland after they'd interupted a 40-day fast he was undertaking. The effect is channeled through Caster's crozier, which thereby possesses a potent "Anti-Serpent" attribute. When struck against any foe with draconic or serpentine blood, the rank increases by one letter grade. Furthermore, because it's a common belief of historians (accurately or not) that the "serpents" in the legend actually described Druids (who sported snake tattoos on their arms), the Rank-Up effect also applies when used against enemies associated with the Druidic religion. The effect stacks, so it'll be an A-rank Noble Phantasm against enemies with both draconic blood and Druidic ties. As a secondary effect, anyone hit by the staff must pass a Luck check or else succumb to an overwhelming desire to flee from Caster and the surrounding area altogether (it was by this that he successfully drove the serpents out of Ireland).

Aspatria- Triumph Of Christendom, Great Prophet's Ashes (EX, Anti-Pagan/Anti-World): It was said that during his travels professing Christianity, Patrick brought with him a crozier carved from an ash tree. While evangelizing he could plant the staff into the ground, and only take it out once he was finished converting the people. On some occasions, this took so long that the staff had time to grow into a full-sized tree, hence why there are so many ash trees across Ireland. In a sense, the spread of the tree's roots could be considered symbolic of the spread of Christianity in the fertile "soil" of Irish Paganism. Invoking this Noble Phantasm by thrusting his crozier mightily into the ground and beginning to preach, the staff begins to grow into a tree at a highly accelerated rate. In a matter of hours it becomes a towering and majestic ash tree tall enough to cast much of the surrounding area in its shade. However, this is only the most obvious effect. Just as the tree's growth in his legends symbolized the spread of Christianity amongst a reluctant populace and the weakening of pagan religions, so too does the growth of this Noble Phantasm have a similiar effect upon any in the area.

A Bounded Field enforcing "the Dogmas of the Church" is set up around the tree, extending so far its roots spread. Any Skill, Magecraft or Noble Phantasm drawing power from the pagan religions (i.e anything other then Christianity, Judaism and Islam) is gradually reduced in power as the tree grows in size, while analogous abilities of Christian Heroic Spirits are boosted. When the tree is of a sufficient height, the World itself actively begins to suppress the existence of pagan Heroic Spirits, sapping their mana at a rapid pace. Servants with a low Mana rank are in danger of dissipating in a matter of minutes, while even those with high Mana can only last half a day at most under its shade. Caster and other Christian Heroic Spirits by contrast, can sustain themselves in existence almost effortlessly, casting spells and using Noble Phantasms without any worry.

A very powerful Noble Phantasm, stacking the battlefields unquestionably in favor of Caster and his allies. However, its weakness is that Caster must be continuously preaching in order for the tree to keep growing, rendering him defenseless for that time. Once it grows big enough however, the tree becomes self-sustaining, having tapped into the natural ley-lines of the surrounding environment. Most terrifyingly of all, there is no true upper-limit on the tree's growth. Given sufficient time, it could expand its roots (and therefore Bounded Field) to encompass the entire continent or even the Earth itself, overwriting the Reality Marble of Gaea and bringing forth the "utopia" of Christendom, which is Caster's end-goal. Damaging the tree will reverse the effects of the Bounded Field to some degree (depending on the scale of the damage), while destroying it outright will dispel the field instaneously regardless of how far its spread. Any damages in the tree short of total destruction can be healed by further preaching.

As the sacrifice of his staff is required in order to bring forth the tree, he can no longer access his Nathair Ar Bane Noble Phantasm afterwards.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was a bit of a weird sheet. I got the idea for a Saint Patrick sheet all of a sudden, looked through his Wiki page and then wrote most of this up pretty quickly. Things got more complicated when I got to his Aspatria NP, however. At first I got the idea that it would just gradually convert anyone within range to Christianity as it grows, but I ended up scrapping that as too boring/the mind-rape aspect not really fitting with his (at the time) Lawful Good alignment. So I decided to go with something more ambitious instead. Then it ended up becoming more and more ridiculous, and even now I'm still not sure whether the mechanics as described make any sense. And I ended up going with a more morally questionable take on Patrick anyway (once I got the idea for the Anti-World part of his NP the Personality section pretty much wrote itself). Probably makes no sense for such a comparatively modern Heroic Spirit to have such a ridiculous NP. No idea whether the personality I presented is anything but superficially accurate to Patrick as a person, either. Oh well, I had some fun writing this and that's what counts, I suppose. I also considered at first giving him another NP based on the unquenchable fire he set up to mock the Druidic king Laoire, but in the final build I decided the NPs he had were already enough by several margins.
