Ah, I see. It still seems strange, to be honest, but that works. Thanks!

Since my first servant seemed passable, this is the one I was working on at the same time. This one I planned to use for a TM game I'm a part of.

    Class:
    Assassin

    True Name: Giacomo Girolamo Casanova

    Place of Origin: Venice, Italy
    Height/Weight: 180 cm/91 kg

    Noble Phantasms: C

    Face Claim

    Class Skills:

    Presence Concealment (Rank E)
The capacity to hides one’s presence as a servant. However, efficiency will decrease once preparations to attack are made. At this Rank, the servant’s stealth abilities are not even suitable for spying. In life, Assassin was a bold and boisterous figure, who even now disdains the need for skulking about. At such a low rank, Assassin’s nature as a heroic spirit is obscured, but he gains no further benefits.

    Personal Skills:

    Seduction (Rank B)
The natural talent for wooing and garnering favor with women. Assassin’s name and legend are so synonymous with this skill that it’s effects rival that of the Love Spot. With enough time and careful activity, Assassin can create an effect comparable to mental influence magecraft. Non-Heroic Spirits will find themselves captivated and charmed by Assassin’s mere presence, but even proper Heroic Spirits can be taken in by this skill should Assassin be allowed to work his charms on them for long enough.

This skill also provides Assassin with one of his most notable weaknesses: Beautiful Women. Heroic Spirits posessing the Golden Rule(Body), Princess of Loveliness, or even mortal women of extravegant beauty, will naturally draw the attention of Assassin, and not in the way one would usually expect. Instead, it will mean Assassin will do his best to woo and win over the woman in question, by any means necessary, especially those who reject his first advances or prove resistant to this skill.

Nature of the Socialite (Rank C)

A skill denoting one who spent his lifetime with nobles, royals, and those of high political or social standings. Low level Eye for Art, Golden Rule, and Human Observation have all been combined. Nearly all of Assassin’s adult life was spent among the nobility of england, and his book is considered the ultimate first hand source on such things. However, not being of especially noble birth himself, the skills Rank is not as high as it would otherwise be.

    Espionage (Rank B+)

A skill which does not conceal one’s presence, but rather makes one’s presence fail to register as hostile in the first place. At this rank, so long as he takes no offensive actions, Assassin's hostility (in the rare event such a feeling should occur) is all but indiscernible as an enemy, especially against women. Assassin’s life includes many tales of disguises and false identities, and his ability to conceal his more famous name is the reason for his possession of this skill.

    Occultism(False) (Rank D)

A skill normally denoting one as an occult spellcaster, a patron of the dark arts. However, though he was involved in occultist societies for a time, Assassin never believed or partook in any occultist activities. Instead, this skill denotes first-hand knowledge of occultist practices, and even the ability to recreate its effects, given enough time.

    Noble Phantasms
Histoire de ma Vie: My Legend Put To Paper (Rank E-A+++, Anti-Unit(Self), Anti-History)

The finished collection of writing on the life and experiences of Assassin. It is considered a firsthand source of life during the period Assassin lived, and Assassin’s character is the forefront of the stories admittedly exciting historical narrative. Needless to say, the author of the story is the ultimate authority on the legend of Assassin, and even a single change to the book could recast Assassin in a whole new light.

Fortunately, the author of the book is Assassin himself.

Assassin possesses the original manuscript for his memoirs, and will attempt to keep it near to himself as comfortably possible. The book goes into exacting details of Assassins life, exploits, and of the world he lived in, and Assassin likes to go through it as a look back at all his adventures. The book also acts a catalyst for Assassins appearance, skills, phantasms, and personality. By changing the words of the book, Assassin can recreate himself in an entirely different image, shifting his entire self into a whole other person.

Typically, Assassin will only use this noble phantasm to change his appearance, allowing him to disguise himself into the forms of others, to better blend in with the changing times of his summoning. Just as well, he may write in additional details of himself to improve on his talents, or to add in talents he may not have otherwise had. Chance meetings with Servants from the same era as himself, a victorious sword fight, or something of that nature would not be out of character for Assassin's fanciful tales.

However, the book is a powerful noble phantasm indeed, or could be made one if used to be so. Historical events could be retold, rewritten, or removed entirely if Assassin were supplied with enough to use the phantasm in such a way. It can act even as a reality marble, projecting a world where events transpired differently or not at all, assuming they occurred during Assassin’s lifetime. While something as simple as appearance and experiences is relatively tame in terms of mana consumption, and the addition of a mundane event or two would be in the realm of a normal masters ability to handle, something such as rewriting the death of a famous king or making himself a much grander figure than he was, is beyond the scope of mana reasonably provided by even the Greater Grail. Just as well, should the book be destroyed, Assassin's legend will become far, far weaker, making him barely qualifiable as a heroic spirit in the first place. Fortunately, Assassin is very fond of the life he lead and the adventures he had, and would like very much to keep the book as close to authentic as he can.

Piombi: Escape of the Iron Hold (Rank C, Support, Anti-Fortress)

During his lifetime of adventuring and worldly travel, it makes sense that someone with such a reputation as Assassin would find himself in spots of trouble more often than most. Among these times Assassin has been, more than once, arrested and imprisoned, but always managing to escape. Among these escapes is possibly his most fantastic of feats: the escape of “The Lead”.

The phantasm takes on the form of an Iron Spike. The spike acts as Assassin’s primary weapon, and is rather underwhelming for a phantasm of its caliber when used in this way. However, it’s primary function, as it was in life is as a source of escape. So long as he holds the spike, Assassin gains an uncanny knack for running away, hiding from detection, and avoiding other heroic spirits when he wishes it. Just as well, if he is within a building, a holding cell, or even a Fortress noble phantasm, it takes only a touch of the Spike to provide a sufficient escape for Assassin. When used on the OUTSIDE of such structures, however, this phantasm receives two ranks down.

    Lore
Assassin is Giacomo Girolamo Casanova, known more famously as simply Casanova. Even those who do not know of the life of Casanova know of his name, and of the connotations that come with it. But his life is just as prolific as the legend of his name. The story of his life, an autobiography of almost comical tales of adventure, is regarded by historians as a first rate source of details on life in Europe during the time period.

Born the eldest son of a moderate family, Casanova was, quite literally, lucky from birth. Born to a moderately wealthy family in a time of great wealth and providence in Venice, Casanova was raised by his grandmother while his mother toured in theater, eventually being given over to a boarding school instead. However, under his grandmother's care, Casanova was taken before a witch to cure his mild nosebleeds. The witch in question did nothing to help the young man with his condition, instead opting for the more interesting Blessing of Good Fortune, a remedy that would stick with Casanova all his life.

Abandoning his birth family in favor of one of his teachers, Casanova experienced the first (of very many) sexual experiences with a woman. Trained in the classical arts of maths and sciences and legal study, Casanova rejected the professional life for one of more interest. While it’s true that this more interesting life was fraught with scandal, Casanova’s good fortune was always enough to get him out relatively unscathed. And the few times it didn’t, it only lead to greater fortune still.

Casanova would travel all throughout Europe in his adult life, making fortunes, meeting with nobles, celebrities, and even Mozart and The Pope. In his time he was a Professional Gambler, Violinist, Freemason, legal assistant, prisoner, nobleman, Alchemist, Lottery Salesman, and many, many other professions in his life. All throughout, he maintained two loves: Fancy Living, and Beautiful Women. He was also a criminal all throughout, not only for his seductions, but for witchcraft, fighting, thievery, and blasphemies against the church. He would eventually pass away peacefully in Prague, where he would go on to join the throne of heroes.

Called forth by the Holy Grail, Casanova has no need of its wish, having had no true regrets in his life. If summoned in the grail war, he will be far more interested in documenting the event and “meeting” with Female Heroes than in claiming the grail for himself. An amoral but kind hearted man, he may be moved to go after the grail himself if his master is kind, interesting, or beautiful, enough to motivate him into action. Otherwise, he’s more than happy to ally himself with another servant, or master, in the pursuit of a more interesting epilogue to his memoirs.

Mad Enhancement (EX): Parameters are ranked up, but they aren't or are just partially deprived of their reason. They follow strictly their ways, becoming impossible to persuade and to get a mutual understanding with. Charles’s delusions and paranoia make it impossible to reason with him.

    Personal Skills

    Paranoia (A):
A skill possessed by those with a paranoid mindset. Due to their suspicious nature, people who possess this skill are immune to covert attacks, as they mistrust the motives of anyone who contacts them, and their madness makes them less susceptible to mind-altering skills. On the downside, the presence of this skill with Mad Enhancement of any rank means the possessor is insane with suspicion and paranoia, and will lash out at any who draw near, friend or foe.

    Bout of Sanity (C):
Due to the unstable nature of his mental state, which cycled between severe delusions, and more or less stable during his life, Berserker possesses the ability to briefly regain his reason. Upon contacting an individual, if he is able to pass a luck check, Berserker’s mind will become stable, and his sanity will be briefly restored. Though seemingly a benevolent skill, the fact that this suppresses all his other skills might be considered a negative point.

Self-Delusion (C): A powerful suggestion directed at oneself that further raises resistance against mental interference. Differing from the Self-Suggestion skill, it is entirely unconscious, causing the wielder to view their body differently. Berserker believes that his body is made of extremely fragile glass. Terrified of himself breaking, he will only move extremely cautiously and will great unwillingness. The strength of this delusion has actually warped reality, giving Berserker’s skin a glass-like quality. Though this causes an effective rank down, it allows him to use shards of glass as weapons, and combining with the fire from his Noble Phantasm, it allows him to turn his arms into ropes of molten glass to trap and burn his opponent.

    Noble Phantasm

    Bal des Ardents
    Dance of the Burning Men

(Anti-Army, C): The infamous Bal des Ardents was a revelry that was arranged to help stabilize the mood of the recently deranged king. Six men dressed themselves as wildmen, were chained together, and launched into a frenzied bacchanal. However a spark from a torch caused one of the dancer’s costumes to catch fire, and within moments the fire had spread. Four of the dancers died horribly, burned to death with no way to escape; this ghoulish episode from his life has become Charles’s Noble Phantasm. It is triggered by him dancing, an act which throws embers in the air, and soon thereafter causes the space around him to erupt into flames. The fire takes the form of the dancers, six wild humanoid shapes of living flame which dance erratically, throwing sheets of fire around with their every movement. Due to the legend that the dancers were chained to each other, once the fire burns someone, they will be paralyzed on the spot with no way to escape the inferno.

King Charles VI, known alternatively as the Beloved and the Mad, is one of the more infamous Kings of France. Though popular and loved for the first years of his reign, he soon succumbed to what historians now believe to be paranoid schizophrenia, and for most of his time on the throne, France was at the mercy of incompetent regents, Charles’s frivolous wife, and her string of lovers. As a result, a huge amount of territory was lost to England, and it was not until the time of the Maiden of Orleans that it was recovered.

Casanova: The archetypal ladykiller, huh? Certainly wasn't expecting to see a sheet of him here, though he is probably famous enough to qualify...

For a comparatively modern hero without any overt supernatural feats, he's rather powerful. His first NP is certainly interesting. Reminds me a bit of the original idea for Shakespeare's First Folio (rewriting reality like a play to add or erase events to a limited degree), with a little of Rohan's Heaven's Door from JJBA thrown in.

While the idea is admirably creative, it seems like it has no real defined limitations, which is somewhat of a problem. In particular, I'm not sure what (other then his personality, which is fair enough in a narrative context but certainly not for any kind of RP) keeps him from writing "Giacamo Casanova is invincible to all attacks whatsoever and can defeat any Servant with a single strike," or something similarly ridiculous.

You did kind of vaguely mention a Mana constraint for more extreme uses but it's still unclear just how much (even roughly) Mana an 'average' usage expends, much less something more outrageous like rewriting historical events outright. Personally, I'd mention that the more extreme usages demand more Mana then the Greater Grail can even feasibly provide. Other then that, it's a neat idea of a Heroic Spirit literally 'writing his own legend', just needs a bit of tinkering to keep from being OP.

Casanova's other NPs are more-or-less fine, though frankly I'm not sure he really needs all three of them, but that's your choice.

Oh and, as a Jojo fan, I approve of the Funny Valentine FC.

Casanova was bisexual, so Seduction should probably work on both genders.

He's more famous for his seductions of women though, so maybe it'd be more effective on them?

    Irish Galley

A type of mid-sized boat that was once popularly employed in Ireland for both trade and warfare purposes. Charaterized by possessing a long thin frame, a single lugsail and being furnished with eight to twelve oars, it is in many ways a variation of the Scottish birlinn - itself a descendant of the Viking longship. Also, it is famous for its speed when rowed.

As a Heroic Spirit, Grainne possesses the power to summon a few of dozens of such ships. Other than crossing the seas, they can also travel through land and sky, but prana consumption increases tremendously in that case. Also, it seems that these ships act as a medium for the application of her Noble Phantasm.

    Elizabethan Era

An epoch in English history marked by the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. A period of great economic and cultural development, it is often depicted as the golden age of that country’s history. Also, in the magic world, this era is regarded as an important foundation for the anthropic principle.

Naturally, this was a propitious environment for the birth of heroes and paragons. Many personalities emerged in the most various fields during this era, carving their names on human history. William Shakespeare from arts and Francis Drake from navigation are famous examples among those.

Incidentally, such hero-producing feature was not something limited to England alone, but also extended its influence towards other countries that were closely related it.

    CLASS SKILLS

    Magic Resistance: C
The capacity to negate or abate the effects of magecraft. Negates magecraft with an aria of two verses or less. Cannot defend against large-scale magecraft such as high-thaumaturgy.

    Riding: -
This Skill has been lost in exchange for “Voyager of the Storm”.

    PERSONAL SKILLS

    Clairvoyance: B+
Superior eyesight. Supplements long-range aiming and improves dynamic vision.

In her case, it denotes the “weather eyes”, an innate talent (supernatural power) to look far into the horizon and discern climate changes. In regards to weather forecast alone, she can display limited future sight abilities.

    Pirate's Honor: A
A unique Skill derived from a pirate's peculiar sense of values. A composite Skill that combines low ranking Mental Pollution, Bravery, Battle Continuation and others.

The peerless guts (nerve) to nonchalantly regard the monarch of a great nation as an equal.

    Princess of Loveliness: B
A charismatic nature in regards not to leadership, but the capacity to charm the people around her. Sometimes also called a natural magnetism. With just a little persuasion, it is possible to easily gather allies that are willing to fight for her.

Furthermore, due a unique modifier derived from her legend, a temporary Rank-UP is acquired when dealing with individuals possessing attributes as “sailors”.

    Voyager of the Storm: B
A Skill that denotes the talent to drive things recognized as "ships". Because the ability as group leader is also necessary, this unique Skill also has the effects of both Charisma and Military Tactics.

    Weapons

    Broadsword
A type of one-handed straight sword created in the 16th century. Its basic form is similar to the rapier, whose use was popular around the same time period. However, unlike the rapier that has been utterly optimized as a thrusting weapon, the broadsword possesses a wider, double-edged blade that can be employed for both cutting and thrusting (hence the name). Also, its greatest distinctive feature is a basket-shaped hilt developed to better protect the user’s hand

    NOBLE PHANTASM

Grainne Mhaol – Queen of Pirates
    Rank: A
    Type: Anti-Army
Grainne’s greatest trump card, her way of being sublimated as a Noble Phantasm. Back when she was alive, Ireland was a fragmented land; its people divided into many small warring clans. Discord and dissention were widespread. A place in which any chieftain would have no reservations about taking up arms against his neighbors for the sake of his own petty interests.

Exactly because of that, the very fact she managed to build a united military force – one in which differences of origins held no meaning, and every man was fiercely loyal to her cause – became her symbol as a Heroic Spirit.

Basically, this is an ability to bestow a unique divine protection to those who swear loyalty to her. A spiritual connection (pass) is established between herself and an individual that has exchanged a pledge・contract with her, which can then be used to imbue said individual with her magic power. Those who receive her magic power in such a fashion have their basic performance (specs) greatly enhanced – becoming superhuman warriors called Gall Oglaighs. Other than direct contact with Grainne herself, it is also possible to perform the transference of magic power by using her ships as a medium.

Even if you call them “superhuman”, each individual Gall Oglaigh cannot possibly hope to match a Servant. Nevertheless, they are more than enough of a threat when fighting in groups. While there is no settled limit for the total number of Gall Oglaighs, since prana consumption will naturally increase with each new warrior that she adds to her ranks, a ceiling will ultimately be established in accordance with her reserves of magic energy.

Incidentally, since that pledge・contract is fundamentally a lord-retainer relationship that places Grainne as the superior party, her own Master cannot become a target of this.

    Background
    BACKGROUND

Grainne Ni Mhaille. More popularly known as Grace O’Malley. Also called the “Sea Queen of Connacht”, she was a highly controversial figure from Elizabethan era’s Ireland. In her homeland, she is regarded as a brave heroine who defended Ireland from foreign oppression, and is even now regarded as a symbol of patriotism and liberty (sometimes, she even regarded as a personification of Ireland itself). Meanwhile, English sources portray her as a lawless ruffian, who enforced her hold over the Irish seas by means of fear and violence.

As far as her origins go, one could say that Grainne was quite the commonplace Irish woman. Born in 1530 at the lands of Umaill, near the Cuan Mo bay, she came into the world as the elder daughter of Eoghan Ó Mhaille, more commonly known by the epithet of "Dubhdara" (black oak), a prosperous seafaring merchant who accumulated riches through trade with the continent. Thanks to said riches, he was able to give his children an education that few of their contemporaries could afford. Thanks to that, upon reaching adulthood, Grainne became surprisingly literate for a pirate.

Incidentally, while Grainne was Dubhdara's sole legitimate child, it seems she had at least one brother that was born from one of her father's extramarital affairs.

Strongly independent since her early years, Grainne shuned at the social expectations placed on her due being born a woman. Instead of staying at home and fulfilling the role of the good, obedient daughter, she wished to follow after her father and travel across the seas as a sailor. The old man constantly refused her, of course, believing that a ship was no place for a woman. According to anecdotes, when pressed for a reason why she could not accompaign him, Dubhdara carelessly said that her long hair would hinder life on the sea. On the following morning, he was dombfounded to find out that Grainne had cut her hair short. In face of such determination, he had no choice but to give in and allow her to join him at sea.

As it was the custom of those times, Grainne was paired up with Donal Ó Flaithbheartaigh for marriage whe she was 16 years old. The Uí Flaithbheartaigh were a influential clan of sailors, just like the Mhaille, and also possessed considerable plots of land and a degree of peerage within Irish society. As the soon-to-be chieftain of said clan, Donal was indeed a very good match for Grainne, but in the end it was just a union derived from political interests, with no love coming from either parties.

Befitting the epithet of "an Chogaidh" (roughly, warmonger), Donal was a short-tempered man with a tendency for picking up fights for no reason. Although his prowess as a warrior was unquestionable, he lacked the capacity to be a leader. Fortunate enough, this provided Grainne with her first real opportunity to truly shine. Capitalizing on all the know-how of sea-trade inherited from her father, she took over the captaincy of the Uí Flaithbheartaigh fleet and quickly expanded the clan's business activities. It wasn't long before they had complete control over most of the Connacht's coast and Grainne's reputation as an outstanding captain grew.

However, all this success placed them at odds with a certain rival clan and, thanks in part to Donal’s antics, what began as just minor attritions soon devolved into a nasty blood feud. Once again, Grainne proved her worth by leading the Uí Flaithbheartaigh men into victory. Although they were cornered for a time, she eventually managed to turn the tables and repel all the invading enemies.

In the end, the Uí Flaithbheartaighs came out victorious. Still, a heavy price was paid: many of their kinsmen lost their lives, including their young chieftain Donal. Under the early Irish law that was in place back then, Grainne herself could not inherit the lands and titles of her dead husband. So, not wanting to spend the rest of her days as some mourning widow, she waited just long enough for her eldest son by Donal to come of age before departing back to her homeland.

It has been said that, at this time, many men who had served under the Uí Flaithbheartaighs for years decided to leave everything behind just so they could follow her…

Back at home, Grainne quickly assumed the position of cheiftain of the Uí Mhaille clan. She then employed all the knowledge and experience she had accumulated until then to expand her clan’s influence. She introduced a new policy of imposing service taxes on merchant ships that traded in her waters. Said ships would have to pay a fee, in the form of either cash or a portion of their cargo, in exchange of safe passage. Those who refused would suffer with violence and plunder.

Although they declared themselves as traders, by this point the Uí Mhailles had already turned into pirates in all but name.

    Grainne Mhaol (Queen of Pirates)

For the next few years, the Uí Mhailles thrived as one of the greatest powers of the Irish seas, holding control over the entire western cost of the island-nation. Still, it wasn’t long before they met with an insurmountable wall in their path for domination. After centuries of absence, the Kingdom of England – under the leadership of the Tudor dynasty – had finally returned to ascertain its power over Ireland. Against the might of such a great country, even the fearsome pirates of Grainne Ni Mhaille were just smallfry.

Understanding that she was at disadvantage by herself, Grainne sought allies among the other chieftains who were also displeased by the sudden reappearance of the English. Under the guise of a political marriage, she joined forces with Risteard Bourke. Nicknamed “an Iarainnn” (roughly, ironclad) due his habit or always wearing an iron chainmail, Risteard was as wealthy as Grainne herself, and she believed his resources would help her secure the Uí Mhaille clan’s influence.

According to anecdotes, after spending one year draining everything that she could from him, Grainne finally locked Risteard out of his own castle and one-sidedly terminated their arrangement. To her surprise, he smoothly accepted her demands, and asked for nothing in return but to remain at Grainne’s side – not as a husband, but as a subordinate. Having been caught off guard, she unwittingly consented to his terms.

This would later work to her advantage when Risteard became a prime candidate to fill in an important position in Irish politics. Hoping to put an eminent statesman into her pocket, Grainne promptly declared her support for her ex-husband. Unfortunately, the English had similar ideas in mind and worked to place someone more willing to promote their own agenda on that office. When they went as far as twisting Irish law to serve their own interests, Grainne took it as a personal insult and declared open rebellion to the English powers.

Grainne would fight against the expansion of English influence for many years after that – turning herself into a legend in the process. Many of the brave tales she accomplished around this time are well known even to this day. The repelling of the English forces that attempted to besiege Carraig an Chabhlaigh – her headquarters. Her multiple arrests and subsequent escapes. Her long-standing feud with Sir Richard Bingham – the English-appointed governor of Connacht. And many others.

Still, no tale is more glorious than her face-to-face meeting with Queen Elizabeth I.

Grainne could (and probably would) have fought against the English for the rest of her days. However, Bingham – her bitter enemy to the end – managed to capture her children and used them as hostages. Despite her fame as a cold-blooded pirate, the love of a mother is not something that can be easily put aside, and so Grainne accepted that her cause was doomed.

Still, she refused to simply give in to the kidnapper’s demands. Instead, she smuggled herself deep into the English mainland and asked an audience with the Queen in order to make her case before the royal authority. Surprisingly enough, her request was granted.

It has been said that Grainne went alone to the meeting. There, despite being surrounded by several armed guards and under the scrutiny of just as many court officials, she refused to treat Elizabeth with the deference that a subject owned to his sovereign, instead treating the Queen as merely another woman just like herself. Supposedly, Elizabeth thought of the whole thing as extremely amusing, and even found something of a kindred soul in the pirate.

After hearing Grainne’s grievances and demands for reparations, Elizabeth calmly presented her counterproposal: Grainne would not receive any sort of compensation from the English crown, but if she were to cease with her insurgent activities, she and her children would be pardoned from all crimes and allowed to return home without suffering any further sanctions. Refusal would mean that they would all hang. Understanding that she wouldn’t get a better offer, Grainne accepted – but added the condition that Bingham had to be removed from Ireland. The Elizabeth deemed it reasonable, and the pact between the two queens was sealed.

Afterwards, Grainne retired from piracy and returned to her merchant roots. She would eventually of old age die much later, while lying on her own bed. She was about 70 years old at the time.

Despite having become a Heroic Spirit after death, Grainne does not view herself as a hero. Ultimately, she was a survivor above all – someone who employed any and all methods available to protect her own interests. If anyone was saved as she did that, it was nothing but a fortuitous coincidence. Also, she has no desire for the Holy Grail; the only factor that would lead her to answer to the summoning and manifest as a Servant would be the very pirate-like instinct to seek out and plunder treasures.

That being said, it is not like she has no wishes either.

Once upon a time, she saved a young man who was drifting at sea. Unlike the Irish men that she knew, he was modest and intellectual fellow – a true gentleman. Also, while all other men either adored or feared her, he just regarded her as any other woman. Grainne eventually became attracted to him, but he passed away before those feelings could blossom into something more. Even now, she still secretly wishes to know what sort of relationship she could have build with such a man if given the chance.

Good to see you again, Chaos. Your sheets were always good at capturing the good old Nasu flavor...

When I first saw 'Grainne' I assumed she was the one from Diarmuid's legend, while needless to say she's quite different. Her NP is an 'army creation' one, of which a few have shown up as of late (I went with something like that for my Simon Bar Kokhba Servant and 7thSon used a similar idea for Ivan The Terrible). In any case, it's well thought-out.

Grainne sounds like she has an entertaining sort of swashbuckling personality, while being different from the other female pirates to have shown up in Type-Moon so far.

    Class: Caster

    STR: E
    END: D
    AGI: D
    MGI: A+
    LCK: B

    Class Skills

Territory Creation (A): Capable of creating a Temple.

Item Construction (E): Caster's talent in item creation
lies in writing sutra scrolls, but little else.

    Personal Skills

Compiler (EX): A skill possessed by those famous for recording the lives of others. A large number of
heroes are only known because of Caster's epic, and should he come into contact with any Heroic Spirit
mentioned in his writing, he will instantly have full access to all possible information about them.
Caster is revered as the writer of the longest known epic and his true name is translated literally as
"Compiler", so this skill is a part of his very essence. In addition to the individuals that appear in
the epic, Caster also has access to the passages detailing geography, history, warfare and religion.
Even as a child, Caster's capability to learn and absorb knowledge was said to be divinely inspired.

Veda (A+): Translated as "knowledge", it is the meditation and training on the ancient sacred literature
of India, and which Caster added to during his life as a writer. He also learned the ancient Indian
magecraft system known as majak during his studies, an endeavor he constantly improves as an immortal.
"Veda" is a fairly common term for "knowledge", but best describes the great command of experience in a
field of study, whether it be science, medicine or magecraft. Caster is renowned for writing many works
for the good of mankind and for quick and easy understanding of the divine.

Divinity (B): A number of traditions regard Caster as an avatar or aspect of Vishnu, and in Hinduism
he is counted among the Chirianjivi, eight immortal beings who remain alive until the end of the earth.

    Noble Phantasms

    Mahabharata~O Ganesha, Transcribe (D, Support)

Caster's most famous work is the longest epic poem in history, about 1.8 million words in total. It is ten
times longer than the Iliad and the Odyssey combined, and its importance to civilization is said to be on
par with the Bible, the Quran, and the works of Homer and Shakespeare. To aid him in writing the text, Caster
asked Ganesha, the god of intellect and wisdom, to serve as his scribe. Ganesha agreed on the condition that
Caster dictate the poem uninterrupted, to which Caster agreed on the condition that Ganesha must understand
the verse before he transcribed it. Caster worked around this by reciting very complex passages so that Ganesha
would stop him to ask for clarification. This Noble Phantasm represents this act in a number of ways: first,
it grants him a form of Battle Continuation that only functions for oration, letting him speak clearly and
eloquently for a long amount of time. Second, it grants him the ability to project an incredibly realistic
illusion of any scene that he describes, whether he is quoting the Mahabharata or something else. Third,
the presence of Ganesha transcribing his every word and action continues to manifest as a scroll on his
person, which constantly records every event Caster is involved with. Since Caster is no longer dictating
to Ganesha, the account on the scroll has greater agency to iterate things Caster may not be able to put
into words. It is useless in combat, but can prove useful in a number of other ways.

    Veda Vyasa~Legend Splitter (EX, Anti-Unit)

A representation of Caster's most famous feat, which draws upon the second meaning of Caster's name:
to split or differentiate. In order to promote the good of mankind, Caster took the primordial Veda
and split it into four written sections. This allowed ordinary humans to understand the nature of the
divine knowledge. As a Caster class Servant, this ability gives Caster the ability to apply this feat
to something similarly inviolable: the records of his fellow Servants copied from the Throne of Heroes.
It is a form of history manipulation of the highest degree. By touching another Servant, he "splits"
the essence of their legend into its component parts, and converts the entire Heroic Spirit into a
representation of a single chapter of their lives. For example, the history and legend of Hercules
could be split into two parts or chapters: one before he completed his Twelve Labors and one after.
Rewriting a Servant into a "component state" has consequences, some beneficial, some detrimental.
Caster can split his target into a maximum of four "chapters"; if he does not choose specific points
in the hero's life for the splits to occur, their legend is divided into four equal parts. Touching
his target again allows Caster to cycle through the different iterations of the fragmented hero. The
affected target will not be aware of the change; to them, their entire legend consists of the single
chapter they now embody. For Servants who held boons for a brief moment, or whose lives are already
chronicled with great detail, this can be devastating. Parameters drop, skills that have yet to be
mastered are lost, and Noble Phantasms that have not yet been obtained disappear. The best defense
against this Noble Phantasm, aside from not allowing Caster to use it in the first place, is to have
a life shrouded in mystery, or to have skills and Noble Phantasms that were possessed for one's entire
life, start to finish. Along with compiling, reducing something beyond the reach of humans to their
level is intrinsic to Caster's very nature.
    Examples include:
-Reverting a Hassan-il-Sabbah candidate to a state before the development or mastery of their Zabaniya.
-Reverting King Arthur to a state before she obtained Excalibur and Avalon.
-Reverting Hercules to a state before he completed his Twelve Labors, reducing the number of lives provided by God Hand (or removing it entirely).
-Reverting Cu Chulainn to a state before his tutelage by Scathach.
-Changing Elizabeth Bathory from a younger Lancer to the older Assassin, Carmilla, or vice versa.
-Changing Karna to a state after he gave up his armor and used Vasavi Shakti, depriving him of both.
-Reverting Chiron back to a full Divine Spirit, but crippling him with pain from the Hydra venom in his veins.
-Reverting Siegfried to a state before he bathed in Fafnir's blood, removing his Armor.
-Reverting Perseus to a state before he embarked to kill Medusa, removing all his Noble Phantasms.

Servants who would be largely unaffected include Jack the Ripper, whose life and identity is unknown, or Achilles, who possessed the blessing of invulnerability from birth.
    Background
Vyasa is a legendary Indian sage who is traditionally credited with composing the Mahabharata.

According to legend, Vyasa was the son of the monk Parashara and the princess Satyavati and grew
up in forests, living with hermits who taught him the Vedas (ancient sacred literature of India).
Thereafter he lived in the forests near the banks of the river Sarasvati, becoming a teacher and
a priest, fathering a son and disciple, Shuka, and gathering a large group of disciples. Late in
life, living in caves in the Himalayas, he divided the Vedas into the four sections, composed
the Puranas, and, in a period of two and a half years, composed the Mahabharata, dictating it
to his scribe, Ganesha, the elephant god.

Vyasa: That's a really great sheet. Seriously. The Skills were clearly very well thought-out and add a ton of flavor, while his NPs are just ridiculously creative. Especially that second one.

Damn. It's incredibly versatile and downright haxed, but as the writer of the biggest legendary poem in all of history (1.8 million words, now that's insane) in a world where legend=power, I think he deserves it. Just the potential that NP could have in a story is amazing to think about... (Reverting Arturia to her Lily self, for one thing)

Sense in terms of the overall Nasuverse or just being self-consistent?

Most NPs, even EX ones, are actually not straight up "get fucked mate" with no way to revert or avoid it. Also, affecting another Servant's legend without even needing to know it doesn't make much sense.

    Caster - Doctor Faustus

Alrighty this'll be my first attempt at creating a Servant. Wish me luck!(though criticism would be appreciated)

    Caster

    Doctor Faustus

Full Name: Doctor Johann Georg Faustus
    Aliases: Faust
    Current Age: Early 40's
Year of Birth: Mid 15th Century
    Place of Birth: Germany
    Gender: Male
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral
    Occupation: Magus

    Height & Weight: 5'4" & 132 lbs
Eye, Hair & Skin Colour: Golden, Ghost White and Alabaster White
Distinguishing Features: A thaumaturgically enchanted prosthetic right eye

Personality: Calm, collected and an intense intellectual Caster's true personality is a surprising patch-work of truth and legend. History has painted him a megalomaniac who thirsted for power, trafficking with demons and other foul forces to do so; in truth, while he did dabble in magical theory of a certainly diabolical nature and dealt with rather maligned forces, the pursuit of power has never been at the forefront of his mind. Caster is motivated by the simple desire to accrue knowledge and self-improvement, with power being a simple side-effect of this goal. Every sacrifice and pragmatic deal Caster has made has been purely with that purpose in mind; he is in many ways a man who stayed a student his entire life.

This pursuit of knowledge has instilled in Caster a certain sense of paranoia, fearful as he is that someone would steal his secrets and undo his work. Beyond that though Caster can be rather amicable: a listener who never let's emotions cloud his mind he would sooner listen to every side of an argument before passing judgement on someone. Caster is not without his flaws of course; he can be easily led astray at the promise of knowledge and in pursuing understanding he can become blissfully unaware of any hazardous situation he finds himself in... and alas his logical pragmatism means he can be all too willing to sacrifice someone or something for his desired goal.

Were Caster to acquire the Grail, he would finally have the opportunity to achieve his dream, the shared dream of each and every Magus in the world and ultimately what motivated him in life: he would wish for a chance to reach the Akashic Records. The Root.

Likes: Magic, Knowledge, quiet, investigating and being a busybody.
Dislikes: Stupid People, Loud People, Close-Minded People.
Talents: Intrigue, Magical Polymath, Extensive Book Knowledge
    Natural Enemy: Mephistopheles

History: in life Caster was the famous(or infamous) Doctor Faustus, a man renowned throughout the land for the knowledge and wisdom he held at his fingertips alongside potent Magecraft; for Doctor Faustus was an esteemed and powerful member of the Magus community even as he operated independent of the various magical factions in the world.

Alas, the good doctor soon began to grow discontented at the world and his life; what was left for him to discover in this world increasingly steeped in banality? He truly feared for his life at the thought of such circumstances... until a man appeared; sharply dressed, charming and handsome, he made Faustus a deal: power, wealth, status... but above all else he offered him knowledge of things and ideas untouched by mortal minds, be they human or Magus. Faustus leapt at the opportunity indifferent to the cost. In this case? The paltry sum of his eternal soul. While Faustus was hardly the first Magus to make such a deal, he without a doubt became the most famous; his name became synonym with deals for which the sacrifice often out-weighed the rewards, but hubris and greed blind them to their circumstances. Such were Lucifer's ways.

So it was that Faustus grew wealthy and influential, powerful in statecraft as well as Magecraft. In his time he had blazed trail after trail amongst other Magi as he pioneered advances in the Magical Arts even as his deepening understanding of diabolic lore made his scents all the more succulent to the Lord of Hell until, finally, Lucifer pounced. A twisted Homunculi of Faustus named Mephistopheles had became the favoured pet of the good Doctor, loyal and faithful....

His betrayal was a matter of course really; a demon in name is still a demon. As his life force leaked away the Prince of Darkness stood before him, ready to dine upon Faust's immortal soul... but found that another, far less palatable taste awaited him; the taste of another. With a smile the good Doctor faded into unlife as Twardoski, the man he had 'persuaded' to take on his debt say his soul torn to bits again and again and again....

Faustus would in death become a titan amongst the magi of the world for his contributions to the arcane arts, but would also serve as a cautionary tale on the temptation of power. Adequate really; it works fine to weed out those to weak-willed to push the boundaries of knowledge...

    Stats
    Strength: E
    Endurance E
    Agility: C
    Mana: A(+)
    Luck: B
    N. Phantasm: A

    Skills
    Territory Creation:
A - Allows for the creation of terrain advantageous to oneself as a Magus, in this case a Temple. Caster's temple can be best described as a 'temple of the mind'; he has imparted onto it his entire life's work, all the knowledge both mundane and arcane he had managed to accrue in his time on earth. If something requires research odds are Caster can research it. Magic is also significantly easier for Caster in his Temple, and many of his High Rituals can only be properly cast from within it's confines which are further aided by the extensive research and development facilities he can make use of in the construction of necessary materials. The Temple is also heavily secured; if the arcane traps don't kill an attacker, than the force of Bound Demons, Spirits, Dragon Tooth Warriors and animated constructs will finish the job.

Item Construction: B - Caster can create items that carry magical power. He tends to use these items to aid in his rituals, but Caster is versatile enough that he could make a number of Mystic Codes, Homunculi or whatever he requires. A great many of his items in turn have a spirit of some sort bound to add an additional effect to the item.

    Magecraft:
A(+) - Caster is an exceptionally potent Magus, known the magical world over for his pioneering research in practically every major magical art in Europe. He has attained mastery of most arts and spells, but places a special emphasis on Necromancy Spiritual Evocation; he can draw on the power of and exert control over Spirits and Demons as something akin to a privet army. When using his Noble Phantasm he receives a modifier to Magecraft from such a potent source of arcane knowledge and power.

    Familiars(Demons):
A - Caster makes use of hordes of demonic servants as his Familiars. Using Binding techniques to keep them in place he as no fear of betrayal; additional by means of Memory Partition, Transference of Conscious and Shared Perception Caster can directly experience whatever his Familiars are facing or seeing and collect these memories for later study. For the most part these Demons are no match for a Servant and many of the lower tiered species can be dispatched by even an average Magus, but by drawing upon his Noble Phantasm's pool of Mana Caster can summon increasingly powerful Demons; given enough time he could even summoned a rightly feared Pit Fiend, veritable titans amongst True Devils.

Librarian of Stored Knowledge: A - Caster has near perfect recall of the vast stores of knowledge he's accrued over the years, his fields of mundane study including the Humanities, Core Sciences and Mathematics to compliment his arcane lore. Can recall this information with a successful Luck check.

Der Schwarze Rabe: The Threefold Coercion of Hell
    Rank: A
    Type: Anti-Unit(Self)
    Range: 1
    Max Targets: 1

The Black Raven in English, Der Schwarze Rabe is the single greatest Grimoire Caster ever penned in his life. The repository into which he poured anything and everything he had learned of the arcane, so ubiquitous did it become to Caster's being that he poured not only his knowledge but his very being into it's creation and made into his main foci for the rest of his life.

Der Schwarze Rabe serves three main purposes to Caster: Firstly it's deep interconnectedness to Caster makes it suitable as a near infinite pool of Mrana to draw upon for magic while also granting him access to High-Speed Incantations, Enchant, Mana Burst, Mana Defense and Mana Synchronization while it is active. Furthermore Magic is much more familiar to him when using the Grimoire, adding a modifier to his Mana Attribute. Thirdly, and perhaps most potently, Der Schwarze Rabe can be used to make Bargains; these function in many ways like the bargain Caster himself formed in that they can be used to exponentially empower someone for a short period of time, but often come with a heavy price. A common use by Caster is for him to Rank Up or Modify a Servant's Abilities for a short period of time... in exchange for the imposition of a Geas or even acquiring a Command Spell over that Servant.

Der Schwarze Rabe comes with an unfortunate cost however; any damaged sustained to the physical book is reflected on Caster, and should the book be destroyed or completely drained... then Caster himself will fade away.

It's a Work in Progress. It was getting pretty late when I posted, but in retrospect I should of just posted when it was totally completed. Eh.
