Martha's offhand remark about this "indecisive fool" prompted me to make this sheet... Three months too late.

The angle of him being a predecessor to the Eigth Sacrament and the Executors was totally made up by me. I did it to "fill in the space" of the inconsistencies of his hagiographies, as well as to give him something of a fighting chance as a Servant. I may have overdone it, so tell me if I ran too far with it.

    Valentinius

    faceclaim

    Class: Caster
    • Alternate Classes: Assassin (very tenuously, and he will probably be extremely weak in this class)

    Name: Valentinius
    • Other Names: Saint Valentine of Terni

Place of Origin: Roman Empire (Italy)
Alignment: True Neutral, Neutral Good if pushed.

    Parameters:
    Strength: E
    Endurance: E
    Agility: C
    Magic: B
    Luck: E
    Noble Phantasm: A+

    Skills
    Class Skills:
    • Territory Creation C
Instead of a Workshop, a Chapel is created. While it is similar in function to the Workshops of other Casters, it is specialized towards church services and other religious activities.
    • Item Construction B
Valentinius is restricted to creating those ritual items and blessed materials of the Church; however, the materials he builds will be of the highest quality. He can build Conceptual Weapons like Keys of Providence and Holy Shrouds, or more mundane materials associated with the Church.

    Personal Skills:
    • Saint A
Indicates being acknowledged as a saint. In Valentinius' case, the effect is "raising the effectiveness of sacraments".
    • Baptism Sacrament B
A type of magecraft that changed style into a church form. It is effective on a spiritual body. A simple ritual with an aria that falls on the Ten-Count category, it is capable of exorcising Demons and sending Wraiths back to the world of the dead.
    • Presence Concealment (Group) B (Conditionally A)
Valentinius is able to grant himself and up to twenty other people Presence Concealment C for roughly an hour at a time. If Celibratio Matrimonii is being used, the rank of Presence Concealment granted rises to B. The downside of this is that if any member of the group makes preparations to attack, everybody's Presence Concealment will drop in rank.
    • Projectile (Daggers) C
Thrown projectile weapons are comparable to crossbow bolts.
    • Protection of the Faith (conditionally B)
This skill will only activate whenever Valentinius is acting in defense of his Christian beliefs. Normally, it will be inactive.

    Equipment:
    • An assortment of books and scrolls including: the Gospels, Paul's letters, several of the other Epistles, a Latin translation of the Septuagint, and other church-related works.
    • Black Keys (Prototype): Valentinius uses prototypes of the Black Keys used by some Executors as his primary weapons. They carry the same powers as modern Black Keys; however, they are limited by Valentinius' lack of knowledge of the various rites to strengthen them, as they had not yet been invented. They take the form of modified pugio daggers rather than the rapier-like swords that are modern Black Keys. While they are as practical as one would expect of oversized throwing knives, they can still deal damage to Servants. He starts with 50 hilts and can make more via running prana through pages of the books and scrolls he is summoned with.

    Noble Phantasm:
    Spoiler:
Non Habebis Deos Alienos: Idol Breaker (Support/Anti-Divine, A+)
Not a physical weapon Valentinius possessed in life but rather a symbolic representation of the time he converted and baptised the entire family of his jailer by restoring sight to a young girl in the family, and by extension prompting the destruction of all of the idols in his house. It is a Holy Shroud twenty feet in length that has both healing and damaging properties. Valentinius is able to heal wounds and remove curses from a target (usually a Servant) by touching them with the Holy Shroud. However, if the target possesses the skills Divinity, Protection of the Faith, or Affections of the Goddess and does not follow the Christian faith, they will have these skills forcibly sealed and have a rank-down applied to all parameters. In addition, any Divine Constructs in their possession, even Noble Phantasms, will be instantly destroyed (this affect will apply even if the individual in question does not have the aforementioned skills). Furthermore, if used on an individual with the skill Divinity B or higher, or Divine Goddess Core, it will deal catastrophic damage via prana depletion and burning. However, against individuals possessing no associations with divinity, it will function only as a healing and support ability. Pieces of the Shroud can be cut off and attached to Black Keys, allowing Valentinius to artificially extend the Noble Phantasm's range. However, the Shroud will not regenerate, meaning that Valentinius had to be careful as to how much he removes.

Celebratio Matrimonii: What God has joined, men must not divide (Support, A)
Valentinius's trouble with the Roman government came when he was caught marrying Christian couples, many of them would-be soldiers trying to escape the draft. Since this act has become one of his most famous, it was transmuted into this Noble Phantasm.

If there is a willing couple, Valentinius can hold an impromptu wedding according to the customs of the Christian faith of his time. If he has time to research the modern era, he can also pattern a ceremony off of the Catholic Church's Rite of Marriage. Once complete, a prana channel will form between Valentinius and the newlyweds, allowing Valentinius to send them prana, cast healing charms, and even buff their parameters. If the targets are human, he can even buff them to be able to hold their own against Servants, Dead Apostles, or Phantasmal Beasts, though this will be extremely taxing on Valentinius' own prana reserves. The prana channel will be cut off if any of the three involved dies. As well, if the two attempt to break off the union while Valentinius is still alive, they will receive great mental backlash and a possible debuff on random parameters or attributes.

    Lore:
    Spoiler:
The Bishop of Terni, whose biography is far from certain, having been once described as one of those "whose names are justly reverenced among men, but whose acts are known only to God." Despite this, many legends circulate around the man. Famous for his alleged marrying of Christian couples and restoring sight to his jailer's daughter, he has some measure of notoriety within the Church. However, his true legacy is that of February 14: originally a Feast Day dedicated to the Saint, it became associated with romantic love in general, starting with Geoffrey Chaucer's work in the 14th century.

The reason why Valentinius's life is so apocryphal in nature is that much of it was covered up by the Holy Church. While he lived in a time when Christianity was still an underground society, his off-record and less savoury work (such as the development of Black Key prototypes) proved critical to the foundation of the Assembly of the Eighth Sacrament and the Executors. Despite his association with love, much of his life was spent in the business of war - a Holy War for the purpose of the survival of the Church, and himself.

    Personality:
    Spoiler:
Contrary to what one might expect of a matyr of the early Christian Church, Valentinius is quite the cowardly fellow. He prefers to work in the shadows, striving on in secret rather than put himself in danger without great cause. Unless he is backed into a corner, he will be very indecisive and overly cautious. If not for his belief in the Christ, he would be nothing more than a snivelling, weak-willed man. Even his secret, sinful work against the enemies of the Christians that gave rise to the modern Executors was performed not out of zeal, but of fear for his own life.

Valentinius has a soft spot for all things to do with "pure" love. In his time, contrary to the modern sacrament of marriage, Christians viewed celibacy as more godly than marriage (due to the writings of Saint Paul); however, Valentinius personally viewed a happy wedded life as the highest form of godliness (despite not being married himself). However, even in this realm his indecisiveness shows; as a result, he will not play matchmaker and will plead all couples to consider whether their relationship could survive the passage of time before they take their vows. By extension, he detests anything to do with the concept of "forcibly falling in love"; as a result, he has a strong vendetta against the Divine Spirit Eros/Cupid and will hunt down anybody who even remotely dabbles in love potions.

Normally, he will not answer the summons of the Grail, as he has no desire to participate in such a conflict. However, he can be summoned by a Master with a similar personality to his own, or if the one who summoned him desperately needs his help. As well, he will be forced to answer the call of the Grail if he is summoned on February 14.

If asked about what he thinks about Valentine's Day in its modern form, he will have mixed feelings. While he will approve of the tradition of love surrounding it, he will be disgusted by its commercialism and its overall deviance from its original form as a Catholic Feast. He will also be baffled by certain traditions surrounding it (such as the giving of chocolate. In fact, he will probably be baffled by chocolate in general).

    Miscellaneous:
Likes: comfort, safety, quiet worship of the Lord, marrying willing couples.
Dislikes: fighting, directly risking his life, his own cowardice
    Talents: hiding
    Natural Enemy: Eros/Cupid
Catalysts: no physical catalysts; however, he has to be summoned on the day of February 14, barring extenuating circumstances.

Funny seeing a Saint Valentine sheet here given that I just finished reading one on another forum only about a half hour ago. Albeit the two are totally different. The other one was a genderbent love-freak patterned off of Cupid/Eros whose NP was a bow and special arrows that filled people with feelings of love (which your version of Valentinus would detest). While yours is an attempt at a more serious take on the guy, Eighth Sacrament shenanigans or no.

I presume Presence Concealment (Group) is based off how he helped hide newlyweds from the Roman Empire? Sort of odd that its own rank is different from the rank in Presence Concealment it affords (confused me to heck the first time I looked at it) but it makes sense that the group version would be more diluted.

Idol Breaker NP is cool as a double-edged sword of sorts. He can heal the target but, at the same time greatly weaken them if they're tied to Pagan deities. Given his cowardly personality I could imagine trying to trick another Servant into letting him heal them. Marriage NP puts a quite literal spin on the 'the power of love'. Given time, he could whip up an army of superpowered newlyweds clad in bridal dresses and tuxes to wage war on enemy Servants.

Is there any particular reason he doesn't have Saint as a Personal Skill? I'd say that as far as popular culture goes, he's at least as famous as Jeanne D'arc, maybe even more (Jeanne doesn't exactly have a worldwide incredibly popular holiday based around her, however bastardized). Since so much of his history has been lost, I could even see giving him Information Erasure. (Or maybe that's saved for if he's summoned as Assassin?)

    Class: Avenger
    True Name: Kriemhild
    Alternate Classes: Caster, Berserker, Assassin.
    Alignment: Neutral Evil
    Attribute: Man, Royalty.

    Parameters

    STR: B
    END: D
    AGI: C
    MAG: A+
    LCK: -

    Class Skills
    Oblivion Correction: B
A skill denoting how much a servant is an Anti-Hero, a rare skill to have as a personal skill. Grants Avenger decreased Mana upkeep when contracted and increased when uncontracted to the point that Avenger can only last for a minute or two even with another (non-master) supply of mana, also decreases Luck at a high enough rank. This skill was used as both a fail safe and a crutch for the summoning of Angra Mainyu by the Einzberns

    Avenger: A+
Avenger was once nothing more than a the ideal embodiment of a princess. But when her husband died and her treasures stolen, her entire life from then on was devoted to vengeance. This skill gives Avenger an increase in parameters(except Luck), equivalent to Mad Enhancement(B), whenever she is struck with a powerful blow for a small amount of time afterwards. The increase is also in effect whenever she fights traitors and thieves.

    Self Replenishment(Mana): A+
Increases the rate at which a Servant absorbs mana from the environment. Avenger's high rank comes from both her skill at magic and minor artifacts that she gained from her second husband.

    Personal Skill
    Golden Rule: D-
The ability to attract wealth. Due to the cursed nature of her treasure and the lost of it, Avenger's rank at this skill is incredibly low.

    Counter Hero: B+
Decreases an opponent Servants' parameters by two rank each, 'Heroes' such as Medusa and Asterios only suffer one rank down instead.

    Magecraft: B+
As a magus from the Age of Gods Avenger's rank in this skill is suitably high. Specializing in 'flow', Avenger is capable of redirecting the effect of magecraft in both others and herself.

    Noble Phantasm
Kriemhild Dramat: The Blood That I Spilled(Anti-Army, B)
Avenger's desire for vengeance may be focused on four people, but it led to the death's of many innocents and heroes alike. As a Noble Phantasm, all of Avenger's Anti-Unit attacks will 'spillover'. What this means is that every time she attacks someone, and only one, the damage will also be inflicted to the surrounding area and other people, making it a dangerous proposition for both allies and enemies to get close to her.

Balmung: Phantasmal Greatsword: Slaying of the Hero's Betrayer(Anti-Unit, A)
A beautiful once-golden greatsword, crafted and tended by inhuman hands. It is the famed weapon of Avenger's dear husband, and in his hand it was a holy blade befitting of a hero such as him, but in Avenger's hand it has returned to the demonic nature of its origin. When activated, the blade takes on a bright, toxic, green sheen that also slowly creeps up all over Avenger's body. This sheen comes from the True Ether that is stored inside a (now cracked) gem, hidden in the hilt. As Avenger cannot use the original function of the sword, and indeed has only used it to kill two people, it has instead turned into the embodiment of her vengeance. Like Brynhildr Romantia it also scales with the feeling of the wielder towards the targe. In Avenger's case it iss hate. As the resentment in her heart grows, so to does the True Ether surrounding the blade starts to move in high speeds. At the apex of her hate, the greatsword is less of a weapon and more of a condensed maelstorm of destructive energy.

However, as a side effect Avenger's body will start to haphazardly transform. A dragon head appears from the side of her face, wings grow from her elbow, her back grows a small draconic neck connected to her own, and her blood turns to poison. These grotesque transformation also grant her skills such as Instinct, Dragon's Breath, Prana Burst and others at low rank. This corruption came from her husband's greatest foe. A resonance born of legend, from a dragon consumed by greed and a widow consumed by vengeance.

What a coincidence! Which forum is it? And yes; generally I try to make my Servants serious, whether that means down-to-earth, faithful to the original lore, or just lacking in humor and whimsicalness. (Though I'm currently being tempted to remake my Kalki sheet as a cyborg ninja just for the cool factor).

Yes, his hiding newlyweds is where I got the idea for the Presence Concealment.

That's probably how he would use Idol Breaker, though he would probably feel extremely guilty about it and beg forgiveness from God... Only to do it again.

As for Celibratio, I only imagined him being able to use it once due to the prana cost. Though in retrospect, I probably underestimated the number of newlyweds per day in a given city... Though how many of them would be willing to be married on the spot by a guy who just showed up in town a few days ago? I don't know.

The reason why I didn't put Saint as a personal skill is because: a) I just didn't think of it, and b) I didn't feel it fit the feel I was going for (Assassin-esque Caster). Holy Shroud production is taken care of by Item Construction, and he doesn't have Charisma. Granted, raising effectiveness of Sacraments could have been useful...

Probably the biggest reason it wasn't there was because Saint George's original draft didn't have it, so I wasn't sure if all Saints would have it. (GO Mats, please come out soon please come out soon please come out soon...)

Information Erasure I considered, but ultimately decided against because I didn't want his sheet getting cluttered. I was also intentionally holding back in terms of power, with the only things going for him being the Black Keys, the Shroud, and the Wedding. Him having it as an Assassin is be a good idea though.

Funnily enough, some of the sheets were even ones I'd seen in this very thread (Enheduanna in particular), so I presume whoever posted them has an account over on BL...

Decided to add the Saint skill to Valentinius.

Kriemhild: that's a solid interpretation of the Avenger class skills. I'm holding off on posting an Avenger profile of my own because I have no idea what the skills do, but I might go with your definitions.

Splash damage NP seems really effective in terms of causing mayhem, yet would probably also paint a giant target on her back both by the other Servants and by any Overseers. She might not last long in a Grail War if everybody teams up to take her down.

Is there any downside to overusing her version of Balmung? Turning into Pseudo-Fafnir seems like a benefit if anything; does she lose anything from it?

Dramat makes ganging up a bad proposition unless they have an NP like K&K.

Aside from looking like something out of Bloodborne/Dark Souls. No, nothing. It's there mostly to mirror Sieg's transformation into Fafnir and for the inevitable 'honorable dragonlayer kills her because she's evil'

Kind of funny that he's a Lancer but by far his strongest NP is his shield though. Iupeter Tonans reminds me of NPs I've seen given to Hector sheets in the past (before he debuted in Grand Order), what with the javelin throw and lightning and all. Since you mention he performed a ritual to make himself immune to Zeus's lightning, you could even include as a Skill of his, Protection From Lightning at rank A+ or somesuch. Just throwing stuff out here.
About him being a Lancer and not a Shielder. Well, I am waiting to see if GO will bring us more Shielders, and then I will probably remake him as a Shielder...

About Protection From Lightning, I thought on putting it as a Skill, but he had 3 already (actually, he had 4 before, I cut Divine Protection before, and was wanting to put on Magecraft...), so it is kinda included on Iupiter Tonans. In the future I will make a version of him more focused on his "cleric" side.

Numa: He seems more like a Shielder if you ask me. Maybe throw in the Double Summon skill? Also considering his spear, maybe an original skill like Protection from Lightning as well?

Valentine: I like this serious take on him. His Presence Concealment variant is very flavourful and works in conjunction with his second Noble Phantasm quite well. His personality is very well thought out and fits very well with his build. Nice Job.

Kriemhild: I really like your interpretations of the Avenger class skill (although i'm waiting for official material myself). I like the Noble Phantasms as they're based around causing more damage suiting her character and her Balmung variant... would she eventually turn into a dragon? Is the monstrous transformation permanent?

The transformation's permanent. But she won't turn into a dragon, though you can probably make (a really small) one from all the bodyparts sticking out of her.

    Excellent.

All Avengers should have some form of body horror thing going on.

    Servant Lancer:

True Name: Zhang Fei 'Mighty Warrior Worth A Thousand'

    Alignment
    : Chaotic Neutral

    Alternate Class: Berserker

    Strength- A
    Agility- B+
    Endurance- B
    Mana- D
    Luck- C (B)
    NP- A+

    Appearance
    :

Personality: Hot-blooded idiot who loves drinking and fighting. She is a loyal warrior with a firm sense of pride, but her impulsive and stubbornness frequently get her into trouble outside the battlefield. Has a soft spot regarding her daughter and brothers, whom she cares for deeply. It is unwise to encounter her while she's in the middle of a hangover, unless you want a thrashing that is.

Likes: alchohol, her brothers, battling, the saying 'In Vino Veritas'
Dislikes: snakes, weaklings, anybody who pisses her off
    Talent: intimidation
    Natural Enemy: Cao Cao

    Class Skills:

Magic Resistance (C)- Cancels spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot cope with the likes of High Thaumaturgy or Greater Rituals.

    Personal Skills:

Evaporation Of Sanity (E)- Carelessly blabbers about team's weaknesses and True Names, forgetful of important things, et cetera. A kind of extreme curse. Also serves as 'Instinct'. During battle one can, to some extent, 'feel' the correct course of action. Lancer is an impulsive alcoholic whose reason for doing nearly anything is 'I felt like it' or 'It seemed like a good idea at the time'.

Dread Bellow (A+)- The Servant's roar can instill deep, primal fear in those around them. At this rank, her scream can shatter fortified structures while particularly weak-willed foes may drop dead on the spot just from hearing Lancer's battlecry. This originates from the legend where she shattered a bridge and drove off enemy soldiers led by Cao Cao simply by waving her spear and shouting challenge.

Dignity Of The Rearguard (C)- A unique Skill that displays more power the more disadvantageous the situation (such as defensive battles and military withdrawals) is. Lancer led a rearguard action to intercept Cao Cao's forces at the Bailing Bridge to give her brothers time to retreat.

    Noble Phantasms:

    Shemao
    - Serpent Spear (C+, Anti-Unit): An incredibly long, thirteen foot spear with a distinctive, pronged blade reminiscent of a serpent's head. Its great length gives it incredible range in combat though for that same reason it is impractical to use for anyone other then Lancer herself.

While it appears to be simply a mundane- albeit long- spear, the weapon's true origins and nature are revealed in the Sanguozi Pinghua. It is in fact a literal serpent which Lancer forced into the form of a spear. While staying in the northern province of Qian'an, Liu Bei and his brothers volunteered slay a giant serpent that had been terrorizing travelers in a nearby mountain path. Eager as always, Zhang Fei vowed that she would personally deal with the beast. One chilly night, while she was warming wine for comfort, the serpent appeared and struck. The struggle was long and arduous, but eventually Zhang Fei prevailed and- through her sword and brute strength- successfully killed the monster. In its dying throes, the serpent's body stiffened and hardened up into the magnificent shape of the Shemao- the Serpent Spear.

Though dead, its serpentine nature still remains in the weapon. The blade will constantly drip highly potent snake venom which will invade a target's bloodstream when the blade pierces or slices their body. The venom numbs their senses (Skills like Instinct and Eye Of The Mind will be less effective), lowers physical parameters and- depending on Endurance- may kill them given enough time.

When Lancer invokes the spear's True Name, its true worth as a serpent is shown. The long spear breaks apart into multiple segments connected by chain which can lash about, coil and writhe through the air at Lancer's command. It can slip by enemy weapons, twist around to strike from unexpected angles or whirl all around Lancer in a deadly whirlwind of venomous steel. Lancer's control over it is not simply a result of martial prowess, rather it as if some part of the serpent is still alive and is moving to Lancer's will, in respect of the one who slew it.

While notable, its resemblance to the spear of a certain 'magical girl' from a popular anime series are sure to be no more then coincidence.

Yaoguang- Star Of Certain Victory (A+, Anti-Army): A star in the Ursa Major Constellation, named Eta Ursae Majoris, but also known as Alcaid or Benetnash. Within Chinese history, the star is called Pojun or Yaoguang. According to myths and legends, Lancer relied on divinations from that star while performing her campaigns. If troops happened to face the direction or flow of energy emitting from the star, the campaign was doomed to fail. Turning their back on the star was a sign of unconditional victory. The idea of "Heaven being on her side" is related to favorable conditions surrounding this star, said to have been responsible for her many alleged victories.

While the star is visible at her back, Lancer obtains a constant Rank-Up to Luck. But that is only a minor effect. When its True Name is invoked, the star emits an emerald green shockwave of astral energy across the battlefield, capable of devastating an entire army. This is the true nature of her Noble Phantasm, a divine star that eradicates evil and crushes armies. Just like the passive blessing, this can only be called upon when Lancer has her back to the star. In addition, its invocation is limited to once per night, after which both aspects of Yaoguang (Anti-Army and passive) are sealed for the remainder of that night.

While powerful, this Noble Phantasm is of dubious worth in most urban areas, where the stars are rarely visible to their fullest.

First Romance Of Three Kingdoms Servant I've ever done! Went for a genderbent because A. I didn't just want to do the usual take on his character from Dynasty Warriors and B. I wanted to differ her from the historical Zhang Fei, who by all accounts was a pretty terrible guy (kidnapped a preteen girl at one point and made her his 'bride'). At one point, I thought of having his bridge-shattering, army-driving-off scream as an NP (even combining it with the spear for some kind of sonic slicing attack) but decided it would bit better as a Skill. If it wasn't for coming up with the idea for Yaoguang though, I probably would have used it as an NP.

As always, be sure to drop by with comments and criticisms!

Nice to see another Romance of the Three Kingdoms character around. You've stayed away from the more horrid parts of her personality, but a lot of characters get reworked. I've made a few characters of the romances so I wonder how she'd fair Ava's Cao Cao, Zhang Jiao and Diaochan.

    Servant Caster:

True Name: Ludwig Van Beethoven 'King Of Composers'

    Alignment: Chaotic Good

    Strength- E
    Agility- C
    Endurance- E
    Mana- B
    Luck- B
    NP- A+

    Appearance:

Personality: Tempestous and moody, Caster is the very image of the romantic artist whose composing was akin to a storm itself. A misanthrope disdaining the values of the masses and nobility, while holding a gentler side to her close friends that she masks with abrasive words. She is extremely grandiose and theatrical, accompanying her speech with frantic gesticulations of her conducting baton. Despite her title and mannerisms, Caster does not consider herself a 'god' nor even a 'genius'. Though proudly proclaiming there to be none like her in the world, she holds fondly to the composers of past while looking forward eagerly to any who might surpass her in the future. After all, she is not arrogant.

Her impairment is no issue for her and if asked about it she will merely brush it off with "Deafness doesn't keep me from hearing music. It keeps me from hearing everything else". Of course, it helps that she's extremely good at lip-reading.

Likes: showmanship, music, 'pomp and circumstance'
Dislikes: nobles, opinions of the masses
    Talent: absolute genius composing
    Natural Enemy: Mozart

    Spells:

Forza: 'Force'. Caster swishes her baton, conjuring up a quick, small blast of sonic force that can knock foes backward. Her simplest spell, requiring the least amount of time to cast.

Waltz: Caster raises her baton and points it defiantly forward, upon which a cluster of musical notes materialize around her and fling themselves at the target like daggers.

Andante: Caster slices her baton through the air, sending out a swirling musical note projectile.

Allegro: 'Fast'. Casters plays a brisk, lively tune. All allies who hear it will gain enhanced reaction times and a + modifier to Agility lasting for five turns.

Grave: 'Solemn'. Caster plays a somber dirge that lowers enemy morale and has a 1/5 likelihood of inflicting the 'despair' status ailment.

Vivace: 'Lively'. Caster plays an uplifting, joyous melody that bolsters allied morale and dispels any mental status ailments instantly.

Rondo: Caster sends out glowing 'ribbons' of musical notation which seek out her targets to slice and bind. One of her more powerful spells, at max capacity these 'ribbons' act like razor-sharp laser beams that can carve up solid concrete.

Crescendo: 'Peak'. Caster waves her baton all about, gathering up sonic energy before unleashing it in a powerful explosive burst.

Da Capo: 'To the beginning'. Caster plays a lengthy piece which once finished, removes all penalties suffered by enemies and allies alike over the course of battle and restores conditions to how they were upon the 'first turn'.

    Class Skills:

Territory Creation (B)- Ability to formulate a territory advantageous to oneself as a Magus. Caster's variety allows her to create a 'Symphony Hall' equal to a 'Workshop' where she can better utilize her musical powers.

Item Construction (E+)- Ability to craft magical items. Caster can produce all manner of items related to her chosen art such as musical sheets, instruments, et cetera. But none of these are magical in nature.

    Personal Skills
    :

Protection Of The Music Gods (False) (EX)- A Skill denoting divine protection from the god of arts Muse. In the case of the (False) variant, it is simply musical talent so great that one thinks it could only have come from gods. Makes possible to distinguish all kinds of sounds and play a masterful music performance. In addition, bonuses are applied regarding the practice of music-based Magecraft.

Weak Constitution (Deafness) (-)- A weakness born of ill health. In Caster's case, it takes the form of 'deafness'. Her ears are incapable of processing sound, though she can still feel vibrations if they resonate with her body directly. That this did not impede her musical abilities is just another testament to Caster's genius.

Nature Of A Rebellious Spirit (C)- The temperament to never remain at one location and never embrace a lord. A wandering star that does not have the capacity to be king nor is capable of finding her own king. Negates the effects of Charisma with the same rank. Caster was notoriously contemptous of nobles and royalty, having famously declared "There are many princes, there is only one Beethoven".

Eye For Art (B)- Infatuation for works of art. Has a very high chance of deducing the identities of fellow Servants if they possess musical anecdotes, whether that be famous songs referencing them or by being involved in the art themselves.

    Noble Phantasms:

    Regis Ductu
    - Regal Hand Of The Composer (B, Anti-Unit): A Noble Phantasm representing Caster's role in spreading the art of conducting, and how she herself would often stand at the forefront to direct her own symphonies with baton in hand. It takes form as the silver orchestra baton she carries with her. It is the length of a short staff, with a bell-shaped decoration at the gripped end and a tuft of white horsehair hanging from the tip. Passively, it gives her a Charisma-like ability focused on music that allows her to capably direct and lead an orchestra.

When its True Name is invoked, the baton can be used to 'conduct' the movements of a given target, forcing them to move according to Caster's gesturing. This only works so long as Caster is directly in front of the target and her view of them is not obstructed by any intervening objects. Magic Resistance of rank C allows one to fight against its effects to a degree, while B or higher can negate it utterly.

Symphonia Mirabilibus- Symphony Of Wonders (A+, Anti-Team, Anti-Heart): The ultimate culmination of Caster's life work. It is a Noble Phantasm reflecting one who came to be revered as a composer without equal, a veritable god of music. As a Heroic Spirit, this is what insures her the title 'King Of Composers'. Once invoked the entire area becomes her 'stage' with an entire orchestra composed of phantasmic figures materializing under Caster's control. It provides a constant buffing effect that reduces the cost of her music-based Magecraft to zero, while also amplifying every 'spell' she casts to the level of High Thaumaturgy.

But those are only the most obvious effects. The true power of Symphonia Mirabilibus is aimed at the 'heart'. Music, after all, stimulates not only the senses of listeners but their 'hearts' and minds as well. Anyone who hears her symphony immediately falls under Caster's spell. Caster is able to conjure up illusions and even pull targets into an inner world of her own making akin to a Reality Marble, all through affecting their 'hearts'. So long as their 'hearts' are under her spell their bodies will follow; her illusions can inflict pain and even physical harm on her targets and their surroundings.

Some of her favorite usages of this ability are in generating dancer-like figures to encircle and attack her foes, or transporting them to an environment recreating the Battle Of Wellington that she dedicated a famous symphony to. Since it targets the 'heart' rather then the physical body it ignores Magic Resistance regardless of rank. This Noble Phantasm's weakness is that she must constantly be directing the orchestra with her baton in order for it to remain active. If she stops at any point for longer then a few seconds, all effects will immediately dissipate.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another go at a non-Magus Caster. I'd had the core idea for this sheet in mind for ages (back when I finished the first seven Servants I posted here) but never had enough inspiration to finish it until now. When I came across an artwork of her online (which I used as FC) I was instantly struck with creativity and wrote up her entire sheet in about a half hour or so. Her concept was developed before Mozart came out in Grand Order, so it may look kind of generic next to him. The only update I made with GO in mind was giving her Protection Of The Music Gods, though I was going to give her a Skill like that anyways (Music Of The Gods or somesuch).

The guy is still ultra broken.
The idea is that it can affect multiple targets. Of course, in the hypothetical situation you have to use all seven, it'd only be a few hours before he ran out of mana, so having to use that much power is something he'd only do to ensure the safety of his master and then go on a suicidal last stand. It's not an ability that comes free.

Caster is a given, but I am not sure about Assassin since it's not as easy as one might think. El Cid himself is actually pretty weak to assassins. Any Assassin that is smart enough can dispose of him, though they'd need to go all out when they strike. Riders... I am aware of them using their Noble Phantasms like normal weapons, but they aren't reliant on them. Now, Archers are what he was designed to deal with. He's designed to deal with Archers or, in other words, armigers (basically, servants who rely on their weaponry to do their dirty work and do not fight head on). His abilities and Noble Phantasms do nothing other than establishing a weapon free zone where you either fight head on or get him to disable that ability (for all of Colada's power, it isn't much use against stronger servants. Any of the knight classes will swat it aside effortlessly).

As for the Fireteam, I have to address that down below...

I am using the broader definition, but as a whole, it's tyrants, authority and chevaliers. Basically, anything that is royal is a target to him.

Fireteam Assembly: I see you really wanna keep this. Put more emphasis on the attempt side of it. Say something that 'The opposing servant will only join El Cid on a luck check with disadvantage to him. However should he fail the enemy servant will learn his identity and weaknesses.

Tizona/Ad Victoriam: Instead of "Stopping something being summoned" you could give it an ability such as "Dispellment of the trump card for a few seconds in order to land a decisive blow. However this can only be used on something once."

Tizona/River of Light: Tizona is closer to Excalibur Galatine, Photon-Ray and Balmung than Excalibur in terms of fame. Make it Anti-Army and at either A or A+ in rank. No higher.

Natural Enemy: Why so many? Honestly just one or two would do. You could just say 'Gilgamesh' or just Tyrants.
Well, for the first ability, I thought it was a given it could fail. I just didn't specify why or how it does (because it deals with a lot more than luck. Someone with high charisma can reject the proposal). If anything, the ability is simply El Cid being able to speak in such a way that what he wants matches perfectly with what the other servants are thinking. It's not a guaranteed ability, like all other abilities.

I want at least one stat to be "higher than normal" and look anomalous, but I definitely don't want to make someone who seems completely odd. Also, keep in mind that Astolfo himself has rank A magic resistance because of the boost. If you find that this stat is too high, then that's nice, since I do want one that sticks out and seems unfitting. Just one...

Ad Victoriam was something I conceived as an extension of his historical title as an armiger regis. Basically, he can stop seven different targets that are Noble Phantasms, but he can't stop normal weaponry. Also, it's not like the weapons disappear. They are frozen in time, unable to register the input of their wielder, and hence can't assist them. It still allows the passive properties of a weapon to appear. I will address that below as well...

I can see River of Light getting the rank down, but why does it need to be another Anti Army one? I for one, think we should have another Anti Fortress sword in here. We honestly could use it. It also falls in line with El Cid besieging Valencia and finally opening it's gates. In the Nasuverse lore, El Cid would use Tizona, which he recently won from King Yusef, to bring down the old doors locking the city away...

To be honest, I don't think Anti Fortress really is all that different from a glorified version of Anti Army...

As for enemies, I can fix that too I guess...

Also, you say that his rank in Magic Resistance comes from both swords but in fact only Colada has any reference to bolstering it. As Hermes said, just B should be enough. A-rank Magic Resistance should be really freaking rare, honestly.

Skill ranks have been lowered to saner levels. He no longer has Charisma and Golden Rule as high as Gilgamesh. Fireteam Assembly is still an... odd Skill that seems like it would better fit as something that happens naturally in a story rather then dictated by a stat sheet (Arturia teamed up with Diarmuid and Iskandar to take out Gilles, but she doesn't need a special Skill for that). Frankly I see you wanted to nerf him (justifiably) but he could easily have Pioneer Of The Stars at EX, given that we don't know anybody who has that Skill at anything other then EX.

I didn't really have a problem with his NPs to begin with so I won't say too much on this. Apparently you've nerfed Ad Victoriam? One thing I forgot to say the first time around is that the comparison to "Balmung and Excalibur" for River Of Light doesn't really work since Excalibur is like a million times more powerful then Balmung. I could see Cid having something at Balmung/Galatine level but not Excalibur. Remember, even Gawain, a very powerful knight of Camelot only had an A+ Anti-Army Noble Phantasm. A++/Anti-Fortress should be left to the few things that deserve said classification. Zulfiqar (middle Eastern Excalibur) and Ame-No-Murakumo would, Tizona.... eh, not quite.

Omnicidal Neutral still seems like a weird Alignment for El Cid (even knowing the explanation), and the Natural Enemy section is still needlessly bloated, but those are just minor critiques.

    - - - Updated - - -

Essentially, nerf Magic Resistance to B and River Of Light to A+ Anti-Army and you're set.
I said it above, it's one of the things I want to keep. I understand it's too high but I want one stat that is too high without making the servant seem overpowered. As for agility, notice his endurance is lower than normal for a medieval Saber. He's a rarity because of this. He's one of the only few Sabers that trade endurance for speed, hence why he has Lancer like speed but lower endurance (also modeled on the Lancer class).

Alright, this is one part where I can make one compromise but can't make two. I either give him back Pioneer of the Stars at EX rank and dissolve his Fireteam Assembly skill altogether or keep this one as it is. I can't nerf both without making him look like an Age of Discovery hero rather than an early medieval one.

Fair enough on Tizona. After all, it does have two abilities of it's own, so technically it should already be trading off some of it's raw power for something niftier. That said, Tizona is the closest thing to Excalibur in Spanish Imperial culture. It's as high as you get, since I really don't think Lobera is stronger than it is...

As for the alignment, standard parlance is "unaligned" (not the same as True Neutral).

You're obviously attached to Fireteam Assembly & won't change your mind so no need to keep discussing that.

One thing though...what does Ad Victoriam do to passive always on phantasms like Gae Buidhe & Gae Dearg that needs no activation? Or just the basic forms of Excaliber, Balmung, etc. as slabs of metal Servants use to attack normally with? Does it prevents them from summoning just those as well?

    - - - Updated - - -

Actually that is Diao Chan's design from Dynasty Warriors 6
What does it do to passive Noble Phantasms like Gae Buidhe and Gae Dearg?

Nothing. Not a single thing. Those are in fact the abilities limitations. He can seal the Gate of Babylon shut, but if he fights Diarmuid, he's not exactly in an advantageous position (technically he is, but only because of his class).

And no? It's a modded version of an illustration from Pixiv Fantasia...

Ok, this is literally the last shot I do at this guy. If any of you still find him overpowered, then shove it, because this is as weak as I can make him while allowing him to keep up with his medieval brethren (and rightfully so, not undeservedly)...

Redesigned again for stabilization purposes. This time, I used Jeanne as backup, since, bar the mana (Rulers have the key to the mana tank), she's a younger servant. Even if she does have far more fame, her age nerfed her. So it's El Cid's age vs her popularity. Both lead to nearly the same stats...

Also, redesigned a bit and reposted here since I know some of you don't bother checking the previous page...

Very well... It might be a hassle but... The time has come...

    Class: Saber
    • Alternate Classes: Ruler, Archer, Rider

Name: El Cid - Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar
    • Other names: The Champion, The Forerunner of Europe, The King of Nobles.

Place of Origin: Burgos, Castile and Leon, Spain
Alignment: Unaligned (for more information, see Omnicidal Neutral... And damn you TVTropes)

    Parameters:
    • Strength: B
    • Agility: A+
    • Endurance: C
    • Magic: C
    • Luck:B+
    • Noble Phantasm: A+++

    Class Skills:
    • Magic Resistance (A)
Tizona and Colada's powerful anti magic properties, along with his defiance regarding his people's fighting with the Moors and his belief that all people should unite as one grant him very powerful magic resistance. As he hails from the same time period as King Arthur, he has a similar amount of resistance when summoned as a Saber. Each sword represents a rank up (from his standard rank of C). Cancels spells of A-Rank or below. In practice, the Servant is untouchable to modern magi, so it would not be an exaggeration to title the Servant a "Magus Killer".
    • Riding (B)
Most vehicles can be handled with above average skill. However, cannot ride the likes of Phantasm Races such as Monstrous Beasts.

    Personal Skills:
    • Pioneer of the Stars (EX)
As the face of the Reconquista in Spain, his actions were instrumental in liberating Spain from Moor control and would lead to the emergence of Spain as the first modern Superpower, with the country otherwise falling were it not for his actions and delaying or completely stopping the rise of Western civilization to prominence.
    • Golden Rule (C)
Due to his stealing of an entire town's worth in wealth from Jew merchants Rachel and Vidas, El Cid can engage in conspicuous consumption with no consequences. Unlike his fellow Norse hero and Saber Siegfried, he does not suffer a rank down in any stat from this.
    • Charisma (B)
Suitable to be king of a country. Despite being ruler of a fiefdom, he's suitable for ruling the land he served, even if he didn't serve its corrupt king.
    • Armiger Regis (A)
El Cid's version of Princess of Loveliness. Just by existing, a knightly individual that protects him is pulled towards him.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tizona: The Flame of Western Civilization (Anti-Fortress, A+ and Anti-Unit, EX)

The sword that guided El Cid to victory. It is known for it's beauty and power among man made weapons. Forged by Wayland the Smith using techniques belonging to Norse Vanir, Tizona's true past is shrouded in mystery. Historians debate it's origins. The sword has traces of Damascus Steel, but also of unknown metals thought to have originated in Scandinavia, though Historians have not determined this. It is thought to be related to the lost sword of Skirnir and formerly Frey, with powers that resemble those of the Vanir's lost sword. El Cid won the sword from its previous owner, King Yucef in Valencia. Afterward, it was gifted by El Cid to his sons-in-law, the Infantes de Carrión but eventually returned into the possession of El Cid. Tizona's power depends on the wielder and it frightens unworthy opponents. When the infantes of Carrión had Tizona, they underestimated the power of the sword, due to their cowardice, but when Pero Vermúdez is going to fight Ferrán González and unsheathes Tizona (given as a present from El Cid), Ferrán González yells and surrenders, cowering in terror at the sight of Tizona.

    The weapon has two abilities:

    Spoiler:
Ad Victoriam: The Path to Certain Victory (Anti-Unit, A++)
A Noble Phantasm that fires three different invisible arrays that have the ability to dismiss the summoning or deployment of a Noble Phantasm by locally freezing the flow of time around the weapon, rendering it unable to respond to user input and disarming the opponent. Unlike Thomas Edison's World Faith Domination, it is limited by number rather than rank. As it doesn't affect the Noble Phantasm, it is an indefensible ability. The limits of this power are mainly it's small number of arrays and El Cid's own mana. El Cid can only stop the summoning of two Noble Phantasms (and a third at the expense of an across the board stat drop)*. In other words, a Servant with a large number of Noble Phantasms can easily overwhelm him so long as it's not a protected Noble Phantasm like the Gate of Babylon, Ionioi Hetairoi or Unlimited Blade Works that stores a large number of weapons or something that can be considered a weapon... This ability is the one witnessed when the sword's powers were first used in the story. After disarming his opponent, Pero Vermudez, who had El Cid's weapon in his hands, automatically won his duel with Ferran Gonzalez, as the latter had no weapons of his own. The ability can target up to three Servants at the same time. It does not work with non Noble Phantasm weaponry like Rider's dagger or Assassin's darts...

This Noble Phantasm will also disable the River of Light ability of Tizona yet Colada's power will remain unaffected.

River of Light: Flames of the Revolution (Anti-Fortress, A+)
An Anti Fortress attack that eliminates all opposition with a powerful stream of lithium flames. It is the namesake of Tizona. It's power is comparable to that of Noble Phantasms like Balmung and Excalibur even though it's output is not exactly the same (it fires for a shorter amount of time, but is much faster, with the sword being heralded as the "Spanish Excalibur" by some magi.

This ability cannot be used if Ad Victoriam is active...

Tizona, as a Noble Sword (a subset of man's greatest creations) grants El Cid a rank up in Magic Resistance so long as he doesn't use either of it's abilities).

Colada: Sword of Coldest Steel (Anti-Unit, B+)
A normal sword forged from very high quality bronze of unknown origins, but believed to have Greek roots. The sword contains high amounts of reinforced, stainless steel as well, giving the sword a chrome color. The alloy seems to have magical properties, as it is very effective against non human targets. The sword also boosts El Cid's magic resistance, giving him the power to withstand spells only those with draconic blood can ignore. The sword can also be equipped as a personal skill known as Intimidate that makes enemies reluctant to fight him.

The sword, just like Avalon, can be passed on to the master to be used as a Master's Noble Phantasm. It provides the master with rank C stats across the board, allowing the his master to participate in the front lines alongside him and also allowing the master to tap into the Holy Grail's mana to use powerful magecraft, which would normally be limited to servants. Using it allow the master to become a "demi servant" or "support servant" that can provide backup to his servant whenever the need arises. It also forces any weapons to rank up, so if the master is using a weapon of an specific rank, the rank will obtain a boost. If Shirou Emiya were to use it, it'd completely nullify the rank down of Projection and allow him to flawlessly use perfect copies of his Noble Phantasms and wield them with exactly the same proficiency as their original wielders.

As with Tizona, Colada appears in the epic poem Cantar de Mio Cid as a sword that frightens unworthy opponents if wielded by a brave warrior. El Cid gives the sword to Martín Antolínez as a present, and he uses it in the duel against the infante Diego González.

Lending the sword to a master imbues them with rank C magic resistance and lowers El Cid's own to B... Using Ad Victoriam and dismissing Colada at the same time will lower his magic resistance to C. Under normal circumstances, he will lend the sword to his master, meaning his effective Magic Resistance rank is actually B, but he can reclaim it to bolster it if circumstances leave little choice to him and his master.

    Lore:
    Spoiler:
Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar (c. 1043 – 1099), better known as El Cid, or simply Rodrigo, was a Castilian nobleman and military leader in medieval Spain. The Moors called him El Cid, the Lord, and the Christians, El Campeador, the Champion. He was born in Vivar, a town near the city of Burgos. After his death, he became Castile's celebrated national hero and the protagonist of the most significant medieval Spanish epic poem, El Cantar de Mio Cid.

Born into minor nobility, El Cid was brought up at the court of King Ferdinand the Great and served Ferdinand's son, Sancho II of León and Castile. He rose to become the commander and royal standard-bearer (armiger regis) of Castile upon Sancho's ascension in 1065. Rodrigo went on to lead the Castilian military campaigns against Sancho's brothers, the rulers of the kingdoms of Leon and Galicia as well as in the Muslim kingdoms in Al-Andalus. He became renowned for his military prowess in these campaigns, which helped expand Castilian territory at the expense of the Muslims and Sancho's brothers' kingdoms. When conspirators murdered Sancho in 1072, Rodrigo found himself in a tight spot. Since Sancho had no legitimate heir, the throne passed to his brother, Alfonso, the same whom El Cid had helped remove from power. Although Rodrigo continued to serve the Castilian sovereign, he lost his ranking in the new court which treated him at arm's length and suspiciously. Finally, in 1081, he was ordered into exile.

El Cid found work fighting for the Muslim rulers of Zaragoza, whom he defended from their traditional enemies, Aragon and Barcelona. While in exile, he regained his reputation as a strategist and formidable military leader. He repeatedly turned out victorious in battle against the Muslim rulers of Lérida and their Christian allies, as well as against a large Christian army under King Sancho Ramírez of Aragon. In 1086, an expeditionary army of North African Almoravids inflicted a severe defeat to Castile, compelling Alfonso to overcome the resentments he harbored against El Cid. The terms for the return to the Christian service must have been attractive enough since Rodrigo soon found himself fighting for his former Lord. Over the next several years, however, El Cid set his sights on the kingdom-city of Valencia, operating more or less independently of Alfonso while politically supporting the Banu Hud and other Muslim dynasties opposed to the Almoravids. He gradually increased his control over Valencia; the Islamic ruler, al-Qadir, became his tributary in 1092. When the Almoravids instigated an uprising that resulted in the death of al-Qadir, El Cid responded by laying siege to the city. Valencia finally fell in 1094, and El Cid established an independent principality on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. He ruled over a pluralistic society with the popular support of Christians and Muslims alike.

El Cid's final years were spent fighting the Almoravid Berbers. He inflicted upon them their first major defeat in 1094, on the plains of Caurte, outside Valencia, and continued resisting them until his death. Although Rodrigo remained undefeated in Valencia, his only son, and heir, Diego Rodríguez died fighting against the Almoravids in the service of Alfonso in 1097. After El Cid's death in 1099, his wife, Jimena Díaz, succeeded him as ruler of Valencia, but she was eventually forced to surrender the principality to the Almoravids in 1102.

    Personality:
El Cid is a somewhat laid back, yet understanding and compassionate person. He's kind and supportive of his master and subordinates. More often than not, he enjoys travelling, going on adventures and meeting new people. He can be serious in battle and will go to great lengths to protect his master. He's loyal to those who wish good for everyone, but can be cold and distant to those with apathetic or heartless wishes. His wish is to create an age of the gods with weaker gods and beasts, more advanced technology and easier to use magic. He calls his wish "A World of Heroes" or "the Age of Heroes" and will do whatever it takes to see it through to it's completion, with or without the grail's power.

He's rather business like when dealing with those who are not his master, and can come across as cold and careless. He supports the wishes of his master and is annoyed by people who oppose them. El Cid says that everything's possible if you want it a lot. He also enjoys telling his enemies how strong they are and how they will fall to him. He deeply believes that the mightiest also fall the hardest.

He doesn't mind hitting women that offend him and is known for tugging at their hair when they are playing with a guy.

When not fighting, El Cid likes playing FPS games like Halo, reading fantasy books and petting animals. He's fond of lions, as they remind him of his own pet lion that he tamed himself. Of all things he'd do if he were summoned during the Fifth Grail War, he'd enjoy sampling Shirou's cooking or messing with Rin Tohsaka's head. As a whole, he has little patience for bullies. His favorite thing to do when bored is to tease girls and act as a "wingman" to his master. He's secretly a fashionista and enjoys playing dress up and shopping. Male or female, he's likely to ask his master to change his or her wardrobe. Thanks to his Golden Rule, shopping for expensive clothing is easy for him.

He also has a soft spot for children, liking to spoil them with gifts like amusement park tickets, junk food, clothes, toys and sweets. He also has a teen spirit, enjoying going to concerts and having fun. He's the kind of guy who'd drag you to a music festival and use his charisma so that you'd be able to climb on stage and join the crew.

His personality and appearance could easily make him pass for the twin brother of a certain magus with a penchant for expensive jewels.

    Miscellaneous:
Likes: Vacations, adventures, power, helping others and fairy tales... The Saber class, Thomas Edison, Kojiro Sasaki, Jason and Odysseus, Matou Sakura, Emiya Shirou, the Edelfelt family, Enkidu, Diarmuid, Cu and Scathach...
Dislikes: Monsters, tyrants, gods and conceited kings.
Talents: Warfare, stirring revolutions, teasing girls and healing.
Natural Enemy: Royalty (save for some exceptions), gods, chevaliers, hunters and Archers. Anyone who doesn't fights head on and relies on weapons or pawns to do his or her dirty work...
Catalysts: Belongings of El Cid. Either sword or the hair of a Stallion born in Greece... A fragment of his epic in paper or even a disc or memory card, the cross on his tombstone or his estate...
Voiced by: Eric Stuart (EN), Yuto Nakano (JP)
Notes: El Cid looks up to King Arthur, Charlemagne and Perseus, believing they were great rulers and wishing to be like them.
This is all I can do. I discarded Fireteam Assembly (and removed the negative modifier of his charisma. I also limited the number of Noble Phantasms he can stop to three again. This doesn't dismiss them unless they are ranged weapons. If they are wielded, they will simply glow blue and lose any abilities unless the Noble Phantasm is an effect weapon like Arondight or Gae Buidhe)...

Oh, and omnicidal neutral is now unaligned (damn you TVTropes). As before, it stands for "fights both forces". He's a True Neutral that believes that rather than balance between good and evil, neither should exist...

*All skills drop one rank, whereas parameters drop one rank for physical one and two for non physical ones...

By the way, if his magic resistance it's too high, it is on purpose...
