To be fair, there was a *whole lot* of voter suppression this time around - even more than the usual US standard, I mean.

Ehh, it's more that their ticket sucked and they won because the monumental turnout wiped out the turnout advantage the Trump campaign had. Y'know, a deeper well to pull votes from.

So it was pointless all around, maxing the turnout didn't work because the equivalent in a city runs far deeper. I'm just glad Florida and this whole ordeal proved that A. Polls are officially worth jack-all... and B. Biden was still an unpalatable ticket and even then he also had the advantage of every president that has dethroned an incumbent: a recession.

Also, C. That you could Vote Trump and still be a progressive (Florida says hi). This means that yes, there were progressives who voted him in the first time around solely as a middle finger to the DP. That does kind of make me hopeful that at some point the D's are going to be given the middle finger definitely. Hopefully.

I'm not sure why a tweet from a rando is being taken seriously though, considering the guy also has some questionable tweets and retweets of his own. Some of you could try putting in the same amount of effort that goes into looking up random TM facts for this as well.

Let's be real; unless we see a major shift in the attitudes of the rural population here over the next four years, our next elected President will likely be a Republican or otherwise opposed to UHC. Our political system is dominated by a generation spoon-fed propaganda about the "evils of Communism," without looking at any of its merits with an unbiased eye. Aaaaand who then proceeded to keep regurgitating this one-sided view due to genuine belief and its convenience as a tool for motivating their voters.

UHC is only going to happen over their dead bodies. Or at least their dead careers. A public option with the ability for the government to negotiate the prices of services and drugs is the best we can really hope for. At least for what will likely be another decade.
