Biography
Appearance: A tall fair skinned and beautiful man. His hair is a feathery and a pale golden color and reaches down to his lower back. His eyes are pale gold and his skin is smooth and pleasant. He wears a pristine white toga that wraps over one of his shoulders and simple gold bracelets on his legs and arms. He wears no shoes, though his toenails and fingernails are quite well manicured.
Personality: Lancer truly sees himself as the most faithful and loyal of the LORD's angels and he refuses to believe that being cast from paradise is anything more then a test from his LORD, because of course the LORD couldn't have really meant for his Angels to kowtow to those pathetic. His love for the LORD knows no bounds, and due to this he will willfully disregard any orders or statements that do not match up with his vision of him. Though the fall was meant to curb Lancer's great pride by forcing him to live as and sympathies with humanity, his brethren, this failed utterly. Instead of teaching him humility he learned he simply grew more spiteful, angry that these beings dared live happily in a situation that hurt Lancer so very much. He became a terrible tyrant, ruling harshly over the Babylonians. Even to his death, he never once gave up the idea that this was merely a test, a way for his LORD to find his most faithful. His love for the LORD was fanatical and never ending.
Normally he is polite, well spoken, and charismatic to those he meets, if perhaps a might arrogant, selfish, and stuck up. Long term interactions will often reveal his negative traits slowly, allowing the receiver to fully appreciate the subtle horror hidden by his honeyed words.
History: At one time Lancer was the most trusted, beautiful, and loyal servants of the LORD, but with the birth of the first man this all changed. The LORD commanded all of his servants to respect the race and Alaya in the same manor as they would him. This, Lancer would not do. He could not understand, much less believe that his LORD would want something to be venerated as he was. Lancer's pride was so ingrained within him that he truly did not get that the LORD could have possibly meant what he had said. Instead Lancer believed it was a test, a subtle trick to catch those not truly devout to the LORD. He went down to mankind and with honeyed words brought up a rebellion, he proved that humanity was unworthy, that it was nowhere near as pure or great as the LORD had said. He proved this to himself, but to the others he proved nothing but his willingness to disregard the word of the LORD. Lancer was appalled that they did not understand, he could see nothing but fools that did not understand the words of the LORD. Yet again, he did what he was so apt and willing to do, he staged a rebellion. Legions of like minded angels, angels that were to prideful to listen, and angels that simply did not want follow the LORD any longer formed around his command. He waged war against what were once his brothers in arms, and for that he was punished severely. His army was stopped with ease under the might of the LORD and his truly devoted. He, his army, and all of those that followed his words fell from the heavens willingly. They refused to the last to surrender, preferring to lose everything if they could only keep their pride. And for this final betrayal his Divinity was stripped, and Lancer was left as that which he hated most, a human. Lancer crawled among the filth and scum as a man, he grew more and more bitter, and yet again he brought Rebellion along with him. The previous king was crushed under the might of the unified peasantry, with Lancer replacing him as a Tyrant far more terrible then what the last King had been at his worst. Lancer crushed all attempts at over throwing him ruthlessly, his own experience far outstripping that of the poor fools that thought to strike him down. But like any mortal he began to wither away, Lancers endless search to return to heaven was for naught and he died of disease as a bitter old man. And there was much rejoicing.
Class Skills
Magic Resistance (A-) Grants protection against magical effects. Differently from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. At this rank it will cancel spells of A-Rank or below. In practice, the Servant is untouchable to modern magi, so it would not be an exaggeration to title the Servant a "Magus Killer".
Though he is amazingly resistant to magic due to his life after the fall being within ancient Babylon, where magic was on a different level to that of the modern day, he’s particularly weak to the Sacraments of the Church, with his Magic Resistance being more than cut in half against them.
Personal Skills
Charisma(A) The natural talent to command an army. Increases the ability of allies during group battles. A rare talent, and an ability inherent to Servants of the Saver class. It is said that a rank of B in this skill is sufficient to lead a nation as its King.
Lucifer's Charisma was so great as to talk the a third of the host of heaven into falling along side him, when he challenged the evil of man he talked Eve into eating of the Fruit, and even after the fall his Charisma was enough to leave him a great king of Babylon.
Prana Burst (Light) (A) The increase in performance caused by infusing one's weapons and body with magical energy and instantly expelling it. Simply put, recreating the effect of a jet burst by expending large amounts of Magical Energy. This specific variant Imparts an effect akin to Light.
He is the Light Bringer and the Morning Star, Light listens to him in ways that few others could hope to match.
Shapeshift (B) This refers to both borrowing bodies and changing shapes and appearance.
He was quite adept at manipulating his shape or taking the bodies of others, as an angel of the LORD his form was never set into stone.
Noble Phantasms
Starfall
"Headlong themselves they threw, down from the verge of Heaven."
Anti-Army, Anti-Heretic
A+
Active
Normally manifested as a brilliant spear of Light this Noble phantasm allows Lancer to summon and launch a field of Starlike constructs of Light and Fire, each one moving so fast as to form a veritable lance of light across the sky. While normally it is not overly special merely having a large amount of powerful attacks, each approximately equivalent to a meteor impact, when faced with what Lancer identifies as a Heretic or enemy of God it shows it's true power. The amount of Stars that he can summon at a time increases dramatically along with the heat and force imparted by the impact. The final ability unlocked against a Heretic is to allow him to throw his spear in an attack reminiscent of Lancer's own fall from heaven. By speaking it's name Lancer's spear of light is heated to such extreme concentrations as melt through nearly any defense it touches and strike with the force of a great meteor.
This Noble Phantasm is an allusion to Lancer's rebellion which took with it a third of the heavenly host, It was spoken of as if a third of all the stars in the sky suddenly fell to earth. Lancer, being the Morning star or the Planet Venus, and leader of the rebellion had the worst of it, having his Divinity utterly stripped from him and being thrown down to live as a human to never again experience the glory of Heaven.
Paradise Lost
Forever Seeking A Taste Of Heaven
Anti-Unit (Self)
B+
A crystallization of his desperate search to return to paradise, this Noble phantasm takes the form of a brilliant white toga that leaves him resistant to most Non-Church derived forms of damage. It's true power is that it allows him to come ever so slightly closer to his original form. His hair grows down to his back, six brilliant white wings of light and fire sprout from his back, a pair of long silver horns come from his temples, and the Toga deforms into a long white ribbon twisting around him. In this form he glows brightly from within with a beautiful silver light and he is surrounded with excessive amounts of bright and intense white fire, causing all Servants or beings within 50 meters to have to pass a luck check against instantaneous temporary blindness and beings withing 5 meters to have to pass a check against permanent blindness. He receives a full Rank Up in Agility and Strength, equivalent to a constant use of Prana Burst, along with a Rank Up in Endurance due to his body becoming closer to that of his true form's. When activated this Noble Phantasm also grants the equivalent of E- Rank Divinity, enough to taunt Lancer with it's existence and activate Anti-Divine Noble Phantasms, but not enough to have any real effect, even to the point of failing completely in the face of devout members of the Abrahamic faiths.
This Noble Phantasm springs from Lancers endless search for heaven after the fall. Lancer never truly accepted his being cast from grace, always seeing it as only a test from the LORD to prove Lancer truly worthy of being his greatest angel, something to prove if Lancer was willing to sacrifice everything for paradise. After the fall he constantly sought out paradise, sacrificing many of Babylon's men in the search, but ultimately it was for naught. Even after death though he continues his search, doing everything possible to find his beloved LORD and regain his Divinity position as the paragon of the LORD's heavenly host.
