Was bored and had some time to kill.

Hadn't done this in a while so I figured it'd be a fun way to pass time.

    Spoiler:

    Servant: Rider
    Identity: "Red Riding Hood"
    Gender: Female
    Alignment: True Neutral

    Strength: E
    Endurance: E
    Agility: B
    Mana: C
    Luck: A
    Noble Phantasm: B

    Class Skills:

    Riding: E+
The expertise to ride animals, mounts, and vehicles. At this rank, the Servant is capable of certain animals and vehicles as mounts with and average level of skill. Rider's knowledge with this skill is extremely limited due to never using any kind of mount in her lifetime. Though her aptitude is boosted as a result of her container, it is still remarkable know for a Servant of her class.

    Independent Action: C
The ability to remain independent even when rejecting magical energy from the master. At this rank, it is possible to remain within the world for one day without an established contract.

    Personal Skills:

    Disengage: C
The ability to break away from battle. At this rank, it is possible for the Servant to make an effective escape and avoid further harm. Additionally, it is possible to return battle conditions to what they were at the beginning of the match.

    Discernment of the Poor: C

The insight to see through an opponent or enemy's character and attributes. At this rank, the Servant is capable of seeing through deceptive words and actions a majority of the time. A bonus is applied to this skill when the one is question is of an Evil nature.

    Subversive Activities: D

A talent for reducing the effectiveness of the enemy's abilities before battle. At this rank, the Servant is capable of creating low to moderate level traps which can hinder or cripple a chosen foe. Because Rider's level of skill in this was born out of necessity rather than training, large scale traps and subterfuge are beyond her.

    Altered Essence: EX
An attribute possessed by a Servant whose history and existence has been distorted and corrupted, resulting in the Servant's very nature being changed. As opposed to Innocent Monster (which results in a change brought forth through a monstrous reputation), Altered Essence is a unique status placed on a Servant due to numerous revisions being made to their story to the point where the "origin" becomes clouded and lost.

Normally this skill would result in the possession of abilities which may not be exclusive to the tale which is known. However, for an existence that is anchored in fiction, this can not only change the Servant's abilities, but the core and nature of their very self. As the tale of "Little Red Riding Hood" is well-known and has seen countless variations, the true story of the red-capped girl (Rider) is not one that can be readily discerned and, instead, becomes a chaotic sum of all its numerous iterations.

    Noble Phantasms:

Chaperon Rouge- Goldenhood of Searing Embers
    Rank: D+
    Type: Anti-Unit, Support

The red hooded cloak for which Rider has become widely known for.

Originally not a part of her tale, it was later added to her story and has remained a symbol ever sense. Because it is so easily identifiable, seeing it alone is enough to provide ample evidence of her identity. For your typical Servant, this would be a detrimental and possibly fatal weakness. However, due to Rider's particular nature as a Servant, this is somewhat averted by the chaos that constructs her being.

As a Noble Phantasm, it acts as a defensive shroud. Bearing an enchantment which traces its threads with fire, it provides Rider with protection from both heat and cold. But its true power is similar to that of a protective charm. Activating to protect the wearer in moments of danger, it erects a barrier of fire to dissuade those who wish her harm.

The Dark Wood- To See My Dear Grandmother
    Rank: B
    Type: Anti-Army

The Dark Wood is the name of the forest Little Red Riding Hood ventured through in her tale. Here it is given form by Rider's memories and imagination before being reconstructed through the use of magical energy. Though the process through which this is done is similar to that of a Reality Marble, the nature of this Noble Phantasm is closer to that of an advanced Bounded Field. As it is a magical "zone" constructed by Rider, it acts as special territory for her and can persist so long as she has the energy to sustain it.

Within this field, Rider receives a slight increase to her abilities and parameters. As the summoned woods are so closely related to her story and character, it is treated as her "homeland" for the duration of its activation and places Rider at her strongest.

Those who are trapped within the field with Rider become victims to a maze of trees. Stuck in a space where the sun barely peeks through the trees and the path ahead is shround in fog, sense of direction slowly deteriorates and crumbles. If trapped inside for long enough, one can easily find themselves seperated from allies and walking in circles.

The Wolf- Cruel End of This Little Tale
    Rank: B+
    Type: Anti-Unit

The "Wolf" is a beast which serves as Rider's antagonist in virtually every variation of her story. It is a creature which is of fame equal to, if not greater, than Rider and has seen just as many variations to its tale. Though it is widely viewed as a massive wolf capable of speech, other times it has been known to take the form of a werewolf or even an ogre.

Though the wolf in her tale is closely associated with Rider, the beast summoned forth through this Noble Phantasm is not that creature. Because Rider neither has a bond nor a pact with the wolf, it is impossible to summon the wolf itself to the present world. Instead, a reproduction of the creature is made possible due to Rider's close association with the fictional creature.

Like Rider, the wolf stands as an amalgam of the various antagonists she has faced. Though categorized as a Monstrous Beast, its physical strength, speed, and endurance are comparable to beasts of greater age. It is intelligent enough to engage in conversation and is even capable of healing its own wounds. As a manifested existence, it is similar in atmosphere to the rare beasts which live in regions outside of man's reach; however, as it is a mere conjuration, it lacks much of the phenomena such beasts acquire with age.

While this creature is what qualifies Red Riding Hood for the Rider class, it is neither a mount nor something she can readily control. Instead, it is an "aspect" of her identity which can only be brought forth within the zone of her forest. And even then, should this creature be unleashed, it will rampage indiscriminately until the forest is released or Rider herself meets her end.

A Sei sheet? It feels like it's been 10,000 years! =P
Very Nasu-ish approach to Little Red as an amalgamation of the different versions of her tale - Altered Essence is entirely appropriate.

    (False) Berserker
Can also be summoned as Assassin and Caster.

    Gender: Female
    Alignment: Chaotic Good
    Personality/Appearance:
A maiden whose beauty outshines the Moon, possessing such frail countenance that she seems a wildflower growing near a still lake, fragile and ephemeral enough that she’d wilt at the callous touch of a man, yet possessing such allure that few can resist the urge to pluck her off the ground, knowing that they’d do anything to cherish her, then they – and they alone – may take in her fragrance scent and sweet nectar. Her round, large green eyes are warm and inviting, looking at the world with naïve idealism, letting out grasps of wonder at the smallest things in life as if they brought her the greatest joy in the world. Her smile is demure, a coquettish little twitch of the mouth that dimmed the light of the room, leaving anyone she graced it with feeling as if nothing in this world exists but they and her. Her honey-tinted skin is supple and nubile, a perfect sculpture of curves crafted with greatest finesse. Taken in full, she inspire admiration, envy, protectiveness chivalry and lewdly thoughts in equal measure, rivaling that

Of course, all of the above was merely a constructed persona of the songstress who helped overthrew the Tyrant Chosen by Heaven. The masks she wore – the sly smile, the homely grin, the dominating smirk – changes freely; molded to fit whatsoever roles she desires, freely adjusting her personality and bearings to suit her purposes. She did seem to enjoy the playful honesty and directionless teasing of the

, saying such irresponsible things like “Kyaaaa! Such righteous anger; such masculine prowess; such naked pride – he made my heart go dokidoki!?” isn’t this girl a bit of a handful? Of course, now she freely pines after handsome men with cheerful vigor, through means blunt and deceptive – perhaps the famous warning “Do not Pursue!” is more applicable to this scary girl than her erstwhile paramour?

Her wish is that she be incarnated to this world, that she may experience its various wonders on her own terms, rather than as a tool to overthrow a tyrant or sow discord amongst brothers.

    Strength: C (D)
    Endurance: C (D)
    Agility: B (C)
    Magic: B
    Luck: C (D)
    Noble Phantasm: B

    Class Skills:

    Mad Enhancement: (X)
Class skill sealed to make way for the effects of her Noble Phantasm.

    Infuriated Augmentation: E - A
A rather playful substitution that conceals an insidious skill. Augment basic parameters with pluses, excepting Magic and Luck, in exchange for sealing away mental capabilities and locking away Personal Skills reliant on such faculties. The true nefarious nature of this skill, however, is that it makes the recipient both imbued with reckless anger and culpability to her suggestions; enflaming their affections toward her by one degree. The effect of this skill culminates.

Incidentally, she possesses a version of this skill that enhances her physical parameters by one rank, qualifying her for the Berserker class. Upon activation, she'd become a creature of excess, extremely suggestible to friends and foes; heedless of forethoughts – let future problems be future-Me’s, she’d cries with limitless exuberance.

    Personal Skills:

    Natural Body:
A+ – A natural form more akin to an Ideal – more a being of form than one within the comprehension of mortal senses. All physical parameters are enhanced by one degree. Berserker is a legendary figure as much allegorical as real, said to have been the reason the Moon retreated behind the clouds, so beautiful is she the celestial body fears to compete against her.

    Foxy Vixen:
A – A natural talent of social infiltration, deception and manipulation. The effect of Skills that defense against mental interference is lessened, requiring a successful Luck check before they’d function at a reduced capabilities. Due to requiring changes in her appearance, this skill functions as a Shapeshift (C), taking on the physical appearance of a humanoid form suitable to her various persona. The kind of girl your mother warns you about.

    Noble Phantasm:

    Seven Star Dipper
    Dagger of Seven Precious Stone

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: B
    Range: 0 - 1
The dagger gleams with precious stones and, at its most basic level, possesses supernatural sharpness. It is said that the dagger can wound the wind as it slices the air and cut through metal like silk. Additionally, due to the legend associated with it, possession of it grant the user one Rank-Up to Luck, for the favor of Heaven is bestowed upon one who possesses such unequaled treasure. A wonderful gift.

Just to break my streak of Norse Casters, here's a Norse Lancer!

    Class: Lancer
    True Name:
    Ragnar Lodbrok
    Alignment:
    Neutral Evil

Background: Here's one of the sources about Ragnar Lodbrok, Book 9 of the Gesta Dannorum ("The Deeds of the Danes"); here's another source, appropriately named "Ragnar Lodbrok's Saga"; and finally, an English translation of his death poem.

Ragnar's parents were Sigurd Ring, king of Jutland and Zealand (two provinces in Denmark) and parts of Sweden, who had defeated the legendary King Harald Wartooth, and Princess Alfhild of Alfheim (not the fabled Alfheim of elves, but a province in Sweden). When he was little more than 10 years old, his father went to war with his cousin Ring over the entirety of Denmark. The Zealanders, to show their support for King Sigurd, crowned Ragnar King of Zealand; but Ring landed on the island with many warriors, too many for them to fight back, and demanded they fight at his side or else be killed. The people didn’t know what to do: it would be dishonourable to serve Ring, but they didn’t have the strength to fight him off. Ragnar was the one who proposed for them to swear to fight at Ring’s side, but then, at a crucial moment, turn on him and help King Sigurd win. And that was how Ring died.

Ragnar became king at the age of 15. The king of Sweden, Frey, slew Ragnar's grandfather and forced the wives of his followers into prostitution. Ragnar went to Norway to avenge his grandfather, and the women managed to escape dressed as men and came to him for help. One of those was Lagerda, a shieldmaiden, who fought alongside Ragnar, who killed Frey in single combat. After the battle, Ragnar courted Lagerda, who pretended to be favourable to his affections and invited him to her tent one night, but then set a bear and a hound dog to tear him to pieces. In spite of that, Ragnar successfully wooed her, and had two daughters and a son with her.

Meanwhile, the Jutlanders entered into an alliance with the Skanians and the Hallanders and attacked Zealand. After many battles, Ragnar finally became king of all Denmark. He then heard of how King Herraud of Gautland had given two marvelous snakes as a gift to his daughter, Thora; but now the snakes had grown enormously, and people could see they were actually dragons. They each ate one whole ox every day and killed a lot more with their pestilent breath, and so Herraud promised Thora’s hand in marriage to whosoever should kill them. Ragnard had a maid make him some clothes using heavy furs; once those were ready and he arrived at Herraud’s hall, he dove into a river, got out and waited for the cold to freeze his clothes. With his new “armour”, he went to face the dragons. The creatures’ roar was such that everyone else, even King Herraud, didn’t have the courage to wait for the battle to end, until Ragnar finally pierced the hearts of both at the same time with a single strike of his spear. Their venomous blood gushed forth from the wounds, but his clothes protected him. With that, he won both Thora’s hand and the nickname of "Hairy-Breeches" (Lodbrok). Before the marriage, he helped Lagerda set herself up as a jarl in Norway with their daughters, and helped their son conquer the Orkneys and rule as king.

Ragnar and Thora lived happily together for years, and the couple gave birth to three children (Erik, Agnar and Hvitserk), until Thora died of illness, and Ragnar went on many raids to parts of Norway and Sweden that didn’t accept his rule, or those that rose against him. Instead of taking his best warriors with him, however, he took all the sons which were thought to be too lazy or despicable by their families, trained them into a skilled army and led them to many victories.

While in Norway, his men met a most beautiful peasant woman, named Kraka, and took him to see her. Ragnar didn’t care she was a peasant; and though it took him a while to convince her, she finally accepted to marry him. They had many children together, all of whom would go on to become famous heroes themselves: Ivar (later called the Boneless), Bjorn (later called Ironside), Halfdan, Ubba and Sigurd (later called Snake-in-the-Eye).

Meanwhile, Ragnar still went on campaigns. The first was when Herraud died: he fought against Sorli for the king's lands, and to settle the matter, he had to fight a series of duels against Sorli’s champion, Starkad, and Starkad’s seven sons. Next, he fought on the Hellespont against King Dia, whose two two sons, Dia and Daxo, were married to Russian princesses, and so the King of Russia sent his forces to aid King Dia; Ragnar's troops were outnumbered five-to-one, but thanks to his clever tactics, they broke the enemy's ranks and cut them down. King Dia and his son Dia were killed, while Daxo fled, and Hvitserk was installed as the king there.

Throughout all that, his children grew strong, and soon started attracting followers of their own. Ragnar installed a friend, Eysteinn Beli, to rule over Sweden and protect it from his older sons’ rapacious nature as he raided Western Europe – France, England, Scotland and the German Empire. Things were going well until Eysteinn offered Ragnar his daughter’s hand in marriage. He accepted it, for though he still loved Kraka, Eysteinn’s daughter would be a better bride in terms of riches and political value. But then Kraka revealed to him her true name was Aslaug, and also that she was the daughter of Sigurd Fafner’s Bane and Brynhild, and even displayed powers of prophecy. So Ragnar refused Eysteinn’s daughter. Eysteinn broke his alliance, and Erik and Agnar thought this meant they were free to attack him, and so they did. Even though Eysteinn himself didn’t want to kill them, his hands were forced by their actions and by the pressure from his own chiefs. So they went to battle, where Agnar fell and Erik was captured, thanks to the magical powers of Eysteinn’s divine cow. He offered his daughter’s hand to Erik and all the treasure he liked to make peace, but Erik didn’t want to go on living after such a defeat and asked only to be pierced with spears that raised him higher than any other mortal in his death. Ragnar's other children wanted to avenge Erik and Agnar, but they were afraid of Eysteinn’s magic. It was Sigurd who shamed them into fulfilling their duties. They all joined together, raised their army and went to battle. Thanks to Ivar’s cunning strategies and the brave deeds of all of them, they defeated Eysteinn and killed him. Ragnar was furious his children exacted vengeance on Eysteinn without waiting for him, and so he attacked them. Many of his subjects rebelled and decided to support them against him. Eventually, Ragnar won; and though he forgave his children, he stripped them of everything they had, even their warriors, so that they would have to start all over.

After that, he went to Permia. It was a terrible campaign at first, with the Permians employing sorceries, superior mobility and knowledge of the terrain to harass Ragnar's army, but he won again. Upon his return, he found out that Hvitserk had been defeated by Daxo over on the Hellespont and was overtaken with sorrow over losing yet another son; it was Aslaug who shook him out of it by shaming him and reminding him of his duty to avenge his son. Ragnar mobilized my warriors again, killed Daxo and retook his lands.

From that point on, his life was an unending succession of conquests and battles against those who refused to submit to his rule. To his surprise, his children, who had been raiding all over Western Europe, gained so much glory and wealth people started to fear the sons of Ragnar more than Ragnar himself. He couldn't accept that, and decided to do what even his ancestors couldn’t: conquer England (ruled at that time by King Ella) for good. In order to increase his glory, he would only take with him enough warriors to fill two heavy ships. Aslaug tried to dissuade him, but failing to do so, she wove a magical silken shirt that would protect him from all harm. Once the army arrived on England, he ordered the ships to be burned.

The Norse warriors passed through England conquering everything in its way, until King Ella’s army finally met them on the battlefield. They fought well, but were vastly outnumbered; finally, all of Ragnar's men were killed, and he was captured. He was thrown into a pit filled with poisonous adders, but they couldn’t bite him through the shirt Aslaug had woven. Ella noticed that, and ordered him to be stripped naked. As the adders bit through his flesh and ate his liver and heart, he sang a death poem that retold his deeds, and also made a prophecy for Ella: if the piglets knew what was happening to the boar, oh, how they would react!

    And so died Ragnar Lodbrok.

    Strength: B
    Endurance: B
    Agility: C
    Magical Power: D
    Luck: D
    Noble Phantasm: B+

    Class Skills:

    Magic Resistance
    - C+. Provides increased resistance against any mental interference effects of supernatural origin. Ragnar fought for many months against the Permian sorcerers, and from that experience, he learned how to fight off spellcraft. In addition, he was capable of facing the dragons in Thora's bower without hesitation while everyone else (even King Herraud, a hero in his own right) ran in fear.

    Personal Skills:

Charisma - C. Charisma fit for a king, but not for the ruler of an empire. Ragnar was a great warchief who could train the worst sons of Denmark into skilled soldiers and inspire his warriors to follow him on a suicidal attack on England, but many were the rebellions he had to quell in the lands he conquered because he couldn't inspire loyalty in his new subjects, and he often had to install puppet kings to rule in his stead.

Eye of the Mind (True) - A. Ragnar was never harmed in single combat: when going to fight the two dragons in Thora's bower, not only was he capable of devising a strategy to protect himself from the beasts' poison, his skill protected him from their claws and teeth. Even when he fought against the famed Starkad and his seven sons in a series of duels, he was untouched at the end. He's an expert at reading an opponent and anticipating their every move.

Military Tactics - C+. Besides being a great warrior himself, Ragnar was also a skilled strategist that often prevailed even when the enemy had superior numbers (such as when he fought against the combined forces of Dia, Daxo and the Russian king in the Hellespont), and could also adapt himself to the enemy's own tricks (such as when he defeated the Permians' guerilla tactics).

Military Wisdom - A+. Knowledge of how to teach the skills necessary for a warrior, including physical and mental conditioning, armed and unarmed combat, accuracy, coordinated fighting, battle tactics and even leadership. The time required and the total improvement depend on the natural abilities of the students, the amount of skills being taught and the number of people being trained at the same time. At this Rank, Ragnar can impart the following Skills and Ranks in only a few weeks even to modern-era people with no prior military training, in addition to heightened physical abilities and combat skills: Bravery C- (only improves resistance to effects that cause mental pressure), Charisma D- (limited to battlefield situations), Eye of the Mind (True) C, and Military Tactics E+ (provides a bonus to accuracy and defensive skills when fighting in formation with people who underwent the same training).

    Noble Phantasms:

    The Legend That Holds Eternity
    Ironbreaker

    Rank: C+
    Type: Anti-Unit (Self)
    Range: 0
    Max. Targets: 1
When Ragnar went off to face the pair of dragons in Thora's bower, he clothed himself in heavy furs, plunged into water and stood outside in the middle of ice-cold weather, so that his clothes froze; thus, when he fought the beasts, his clothes protected him from their venom. Later, when fighting his last battle, he wore the silk shirt Aslaug wove for him, enchanted so that neither arrows nor swords could harm him; even King Ella's adders could not bite into his flesh until he was stripped naked. Those events were both sublimated into a Conceptual armour for Ragnar.

Ironbreaker is a passive Noble Phantasm that is continuously active, a layer of protective magic invisible to the naked eye which increases Ragnar's Armor Class by 100. Against attacks from those with a strong Dragon attribute, or attacks associated with the elements of Poison or Acid, the Armor Class bonus improves to 150. However, like any suit of armour, Ironbreaker can be destroyed if enough damage is dealt (although it will retain its full protection to the last). Also, Ragnar loses his "armour" if his clothes are removed (forcibly or otherwise), and he will only regain it if he wears them again.

The Bane of Beasts Strikes With Iron Force
    Snakebiter

    Rank: B+
    Type: Anti-Unit
    Range: 2-4
    Max. Targets: 2
Ragnar's favourite spear, so large and heavy that few could even lift it, much less wield it. It used to have a different name, but when Ragnar killed the dragons in Thora's bower and the spear was bathed in their blood, it received a new name.

Snakebiter has anti-Dragon properties and an increased resistance to Poison- and Acid-element attacks as passive attributes; in addition, a minimum Rank of C in Strength is required to lift it, and a minimum Rank of B in STR is required to actually wield it. Its true power is revealed when Ragnar calls its name and infuses his Prana into it, delivering a simple, but powerful Noble Phantasm-level piercing attack (with power appropriate for a B-Rank Noble Phantasm).

In addition to the increased damage, it only has one other property: as long as the attack pierces the first target, even if they aren't killed, then it will reach the second target with full power, as if the first target had never stood in its way. This is how Ragnar was able to kill two dragons with a single attack.

The activation time is nearly instantaneous. However, for all that it is a Noble Phantasm-level attack, Snakebiter is still a melee attack that can be evaded, or even blocked or parried, depending on the target's own power and abilities.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate for Infuriated Augmentation to be a Personal Skill, instead of a Class one?

Alright, so I made an account just so I can get some advice on a servant idea.

I really wanted an insanely awesome psuedo-Grail War scenario for a Nasuverse RP campaign, so I searched mythologies for months to compile a good list of candidates (already on my list was Gilgamesh, obviously). The problem came when I started getting into proto-Indo-European mythology. Gilgamesh is generally considered to be the oldest known hero with a complete story, but the Nasuverse considers him the first hero ever (thereby being the origin of all heroes).

However, from a brief viewing of reconstructed proto-Indo-European myth and other mythologies unrelated to Sumeria, this is incorrect. As far as I remember, Gilgamesh kills no dragons (unless one considers Humbaba a type of serpent) and his myth has no real thematic connections to Indo-European mythologies (Norse, Greek, Hindu, etc.). While the myths of Perseus, Hercules, Houyi, Thor, Indra, and Zeus are connected at least through a form of serpent slaying (respectively, the serpents killed being Medusa, the Hydra, Bashe, Jormungandr, Vritra, and Typhon), there exist no real dragons that I know of in the Epic of Gilgamesh (there are some, however, in Ninurta's myth). Unless dragon killing is not typical of heroic myths and of one's status for becoming a hero (which it definitely is), Gilgamesh is likely not the first hero ever.

I don't expect Nasu to go into that much research, but the problem isn't that there are older heroes (historically) than Gilgamesh; the problem is that I'm having difficulties reconciling ideas for certain heroes that are likely older than Gilgamesh into a campaign with Gilgamesh. For example, I have an idea for Narmer, the historical unifier of upper and lower Egypt, being mixed with Menes, the mythological unifier of upper and lower Egypt (giving him a nice NP involving riding a giant primordial crocodile). This was further going to be supplemented by giving him some of the abilities of the Egyptian god Osiris, as Osiris' penis was thrown into the Nile and eaten by a catfish; somehow, I would conflate the mentioning of that catfish eating a God's junk into Narmer being of divine origin through the meaning of his name (Narmer can be translated as "The Striking Catfish").

So, we'd have at least an NP involving a crocodile, an NP symbolizing the unification of Egypt, and a divinity skill. The rest can be filled in easily (bar the lore), and we have a decent draft for a servant. Except I can't have Narmer exist as a hero if Gilgamesh is the oldest.

Narmer lived in the 3000's BCE while Gil is somewhere between 2800-2500 BCE. This means one of three things: Gil is not the oldest hero (Not an option according to his lore), Narmer doesn't exist in the Nasuverse (kind of a shitty option since I want to have him on board), or that modern science doesn't know how to age artifacts and literature (not a great option, but the best I can think of).

This might also mean I can't include the Yellow Emperor Huangdi, as he is supposedly the inventor of many weapons and goods while existing alongside Gilgamesh. He's a little easier to deal with as he has been dated to about 2697 BCE to 2597 BCE, so I can just assume Gil to be as far back as he's been dated (2800's BCE).

Any suggestions to fit Narmer into Type-Moon lore? Should I just ignore it? Starting to consider just dropping Narmer and finding a way to bullshit Ninurta in.

You can nudge a bit the ages; I don't remember if CCC gave a precise age for Gil, but I think it was always talked about as around 5000 years ago, which you may use as just before Narmer (you could even make them acquaintances lol)

And with respect to how to reconcile that with current datings, a theory that I have seen on these boards before, that I think is only headcanon but that fits well with the established lore, is that with the coming of the Age of Man all the things of the Age of God were retroactively made myth, and non-existent; so current science would be able to date the historical Gilgamesh, but that would be a different Gil from the mythical one (the one we are getting), that would have retroactively come into existence around the beginning of the Christian Era.

Nasuverse Gilgamesh is humanity's oldest hero; the title comes with the implication that anyone before him is not a hero (ie. not on the Throne of Heroes). You could make it so that Servant Narmer is a wraith that best fits the description of the person, or a Guardian of some sort that isn't actually on the Throne.

If it helps any, someone in-canon has attempted to summon Qin Shi Huang.

The Throne's outside of time and space. That's basically all the explanation I need as to how Gil is the first hero yet there are older heroes than him in the records.

Or you could just say they were added retroactively. Gil established the idea of a hero, then the others that also fit that mold were added the next time a story was told about them.

Nudging the time a little could work fairly well as I could make Narmer after Gil. Separating the real Gil from mythical Gil is something I hadn't even thought of, though.

Wraiths/Guardian types might work as this isn't even a Grail War, but another sort of Macguffin based ritual that takes some influence from the Heaven's Feel. Actually got me thinking whether I could make Narmer an elemental since he has a god's divinity, yet likely wasn't worshiped as one himself. Divine spirits and elementals don't belong the the Throne, right?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, but the Yellow Emperor Huangdi is different from Qin Shi Huang; the first is the ancient founder of Chinese civilization while the second was the arguably more famous first Emperor of China who is known for the Great Wall and the Terracotta army. I confused them both, too.

That's actually a good one, too. Sort of like Ea being a proto-sword before the concept of swords existed, Narmer could be a hero not recognized as one during his lifetime and afterwards until Gilgamesh. A proto-hero? That works nicely.

Pretty good ideas, guys. Thanks for the help. I'll see if I can get a Narmer sheet posted soon.

Wait, is this the guy with the story where a dragon came out of the Yellow River and magically taught him how to write?

I don't know about that. I do know the Oracle Bone script (first Chinese writing system) was traditionally said to be invented by one of the Yellow Emperor's underlings and that the Yellow Emperor met a strange creature in the East Sea that taught him about the various supernatural creatures. Admittedly, I haven't read as much Chinese mythology as I should.

Oh, so it is him. You could do something about him being the best Chinese Magus around since he laid the foundations every sort of Chinese Magecraft there is. You could also give him those souped-up runes Scathach and Brynhild have, just with Chinese characters.
