And Semiramis' case in that regard would be being some girl an old shepard found who became one of the most powerful rulers in the world at the time through having a pretty face and slipping poison in the right drinks.

From the bottom of social hierarchy to the very top.

Semiramis is awesome and a ninja. I will find my translation of this.

She seized this opportunity to show her own excellence: intelligence, bravery, and the other virtues which are necessary to become great and famous.

So, to begin, since she was about to spend a long time on the road, she set about making a robe that made it impossible to discern whether its wearer was a man or a woman. The robe was very useful for her, in that it protected her from the heat as she travelled, and kept her skin from being burned and darkened, and was easy enough to move in that she could do whatever she wanted, being a nimble young woman. And it was altogether of such benefit to her that later the Medes who would dominate Asia wore the robe of Semiramis - and the Persians likewise after them.

When she arrived in Baktriana and scouted out the siege camp and the city, she saw that attacks were being pressed against the flat of the plains and the less defensible areas, while none were directed at the akropolis because it was so easy to protect. Thanks to this, its guards were abandoning their posts and coming down to help those on the walls below who were in actual danger.

So she commandeered the soldiers who had some experience of rock-climbing, and went with them up through one particular difficult crevasse, and took part of the akropolis. She then sent a signal to the besiegers by the wall on the plain; at this, the defenders within were struck with terror by the capture of the heights, and abandoned the walls and any hope of safety.

When the city had thus been captured, the king was astonished by the brilliance of this woman: first he showered her with magnificent gifts to honour her; later he fell in love with her because of her beauty, and tried to persuade her husband to voluntarily step aside for him.

The sad part is that, in World History I (undergrad), I was the only one even aware of Semiramis' existence in the class - besides the professor.
    And this was before Fate/Apocrypha.

That's probably because Semiramis is fictional.

Sort of fictional. There are accounts that suggest she was based on a real person, though the legends are vastly exaggerated.

Literally 9/10 heroes are "based on a real person".

Like how Semiramis and Gilgamesh were prototype legends of the Virgin Mary and Jesus.

Pretty much he claims that the root of "pagan" worship in the Catholic Church is Semiramis. And Protestants of course only true Christians who seen through the ruse.

  17. #10117
I knew that I was supposedly worshiping Dagon because of the Pope's funny hat, but I had no idea that I was also worshiping Semiramis as well.

    Sevant info:
    Spoiler:

    Name:
    Europa
    Class: Archer
    Gender: Female
    Alignment: Neutral Good

    Strength: D
    Endurance: E
    Agility: C
    Mana: D
    Luck: A
    Noble Phantasm: A

    Skills
    Spoiler:
    Class Skills:

    Independent Action: C
Capable of remaining in this world for one day without an established contract.

    Magic Resistance:
    E (A)
Cancel spells of A-Rank or below. While Europa's original rank in this skill is E, it is greatly increased by the necklace Zeus gave her, first of four gifts.

    Personal Skills:

    Affections of the God: B-
Upon entering combat, Europa must make a Luck check. If successful, she'll receive a Rank-Up to Agility, Mana and Luck. If she fails it, no bonuses are granted. Because of Zeus' promiscuous nature, Europa cannot always rely on his help.

    Noble Phantasm
    Spoiler:
Θεός δύναμη - So That You May Fight

    Anti-Unit, Rank C

The second of the four gifts given to Europa by Zeus, a large bronze javelin forged by Hephaestus, blessed so that it may never miss its target. While immense, Europa is easily able to carry it in one hand. Anyone else will find great difficulty to even pick it off the ground, however. Once thrown, it will become something closer to a "homing missile" than a javelin, breaking through every barrier between itself and the target (except for the target's own equipment) until it hits. This effect cannoy be avoided or negated, because the spear is destined to hit its target. The homing effect and incredible weight of the weapon compensate Europa's lack of combat skill.

Λαῖλαψ - So That You May Hunt

    Anti-Unit, Rank B

The third gift from Zeus, an enormous hunting hound, and a Phantasmal Beast of great power. In order to summon Laelaps, Europa must choose a creature to be hunted. The hound will then manifest, and will attempt to attack its target whenever possible. If the target attempts to flee, Laelaps will chase after it, no matter how far it travels. After being summoned, no more prana needs provided to Laelaps: instead, the world itself will begin to sustain it with mana. That is because Laelaps is destined to catch whatever it hunts, and if it depended on a person's prana to exist, it might be unable to do so. The only way to stop Laelaps from chasing its target is to kill it. Even if Europa dies or the war ends, Laelaps will remain hunting its target as long as it is alive.

Τάλως - So That You May Not Be Disturbed

    Anti-Unit, Rank A+

The fourth gift Europa received, a colossal automaton of bronze, also forged by Hephaestus. Talos is easily her most powerful Noble Phantasm, yet she herself cannot activate "him". Instead, she must wait until someone targets her for an attack that would successfully hit her. Once said attack is executed, Talos will immediately manifest and become the target of the attack. That is because Talos is destined to protect Europa for as long as he exists. After manifesting, he will proceed to attack all those it perceives as a threat to Europa within a 1 kilometer range. Any attack directed towards her will be automatically redirected to Talos, even those that target multiple beings. Once it can no longer sense any threat to her, Talos will disappear.

    Lore
    Spoiler:
A Phoenician woman of noble lineage and great beauty, who like many others became the object of Zeus' lust. In order to have Europa, Zeus disguised himself as a white bull among her father's herd. Europa, upon seeing the bull, felt a compulsion to hop on his back. It was then that Zeus fled with her, running to the sea and swimming to a far-off island. Upon arriving there, he revealed his true self, and made her the first queen of Crete. He gave her four invaluable gifts in order to conquer her affection, and rearranged stars in the shape of the bull, so that no one could forget the story. She later married Asterion, who helped raise the three children Europa had with Zeus: Minos, Rhadamanthys and Sarpedon. Europa had a daughter with Asterion, whom she named Crete.

Was learning about Salmonella stuff in class today. Ended up making this. It has been a long, long time since I made a Servant.

    Name: Mary Mallon
    Title: Typhoid Mary
    Class: Assassin
    Gender: Female
    Birth and Death: September 23, 1869 – November 11, 1938
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Personality: A large matronly woman who loves to cook. She is brusque and harsh at times however she ultimately has a soft heart. However she does not trust people in power or rules in general. She abhors scientists and policemen as well.

She doesn’t want to fight people and has never fought anyone before in her life. In that sense she might be weaker than her Master. A hopelessly and helplessly pathetic Servant. Possibly one of the weakest considering how young her legend is.

Her wish for the grail to get rid of her infamous name since according to her she never carried or had the disease.

    Her specialty is peach ice-cream.

    Weapon: Blood-stained carving fork

    Parameters:
    STR: E
    END: D
    AGI: C
    MAN: D
    LUK: D
    NP: D

    Class Skills:
    Presence Concealment: C+
Presence as a Servant is severed. Suitable for covert actions.
Naturally, as one moves in to attack Presence Concealment’s rank greatly decreases.
However these conditions don’t exist while preparing food.
    Explanation
In the households that she worked for she was generally invisible, merely part of the background. Actually, that was the case for most servants working in wealthy houses.

    Biography:
Mary Mallon is one step away from being a true Anti-Hero, or rather she has reached the level of “individuals who did good while carrying out evil.”

Born in Ireland she moved to the United States in her mid-teens. There, she found work as cook for wealthy families. After a few weeks of work her clients would fall ill. First a fever, then delirium, hemorrhaging, and finally the fever broke or one died. These are the symptoms of Typhoid.

In 1906 Mallon took a position at Oyster Bay, Long Island as the cook for a family of a New York banker who rented a house in Oyster Bay for that summer. Six of the eleven people in his family contracted typhoid. Three doctors were consulted and did not find the cause. Seeing that no food or water was contaminated they gave up.

Fearful, the banker contacted an epidemiologist George Soper to investigate. After his investigation he believed that Mallon was the cause of this outbreak as well as many others. When he arrived at her house asking for urine and stool samples she threatened him with a carving knife. It took a compilation of her working history to convince authorities to put her in quarantine.

She was held in isolation in a clinic for three years in North Brother Island. There doctors suggested that they should remove her gallbladder where they found the bacteria. She refused. She also refused to stop cooking for others. However she was eventually released with the stipulation that she would no longer work as a cook again.

Ignoring that she changed her name to Mary Brown and starting cooking for families again. For the next five years she worked, changing her name so the authorities couldn’t find her. It took a major outbreak in Sloane Hospital for the authorities to find her once more. She was once again put into quarantine where she stayed until her death.

It could be argued that she did evil unwittingly; however refusal to accept that one is causing others pain can be seen as an evil unto itself. Nevertheless, she was the first asymptotic carrier of a disease in American history opening up research in that field which saved many. Also she highlighted the need to wash one’s hands, something that is now habitual yet essential for keeping one healthy.

    Personal Skills:
    Mental Pollution: D
Because one’s mind is deranged mental interference magecraft has a possibility of being shut out.
The more and more people tell her about her disease, her legend, or her abilities the higher the rank increases.
    Explanation
Her mental pollution is actually a barrier against cognizance. Humans cannot see themselves from an objective point of view otherwise they would have to confront the ugliness that is themselves. Being unable to do that, her barrier isn’t just selecting convenient information but also deluding oneself. Her entire life, Mary Mallon denied that she was the reason why her victims became sick with typhoid. Her reasoning was that since she did not have typhoid symptoms there was no way she could have carried the disease. While medicine recognized this as being an “asymptomatic carrier,” Mary still refused to believe she had the disease and refused to let the doctors cut out her gallbladder. Even after being shown evidence she still did not believe them. Therefore she is a difficult servant to use since she won’t acknowledge the existence of her own abilities.

    Innocent Monster: C
The name of a monster who the past and expectations has distorted the image born from one’s deeds when alive.
Ability and form is changed. By the way this skill cannot be removed.
    Explanation
Even if she was dubbed Typhoid Mary by the media, it turns out she only unwittingly killed three people. However the amount of cases and the effect she had has been greatly exaggerated. She has even become a way to describe a person.

    Information Erasure: D
The very moment battle is finished her abilities, and true name, etc disappears from eye witnesses and opponents.
Because of its low rank, appearance and class skills are retained.
    Explanation
Mary was never a suspect for the outbreaks she participated in because she left to find new employers after the outbreaks began leaving no forwarding address. Her employers did recognize her face though. After her first quarantine she worked in a number of kitchens leaving a typhoid-ridden trail behind her but the authorities were unable to find her because she changed jobs so frequently. It took another major outbreak before she was found.

    Noble Phantasm:
    Name:
    Salmonella Typhi
    Typhoid Fever

    Rank: D+
    Type: Anti-Unit
    Range: -
Maximum Amount of Targets: 1 person

An infinite supply of typhoid bacteria that is stored in the Servant’s gallbladder.

Typhoid is one of mankind’s oldest diseases, dating back to about 400BC where it shifted the balance of Greece from Athens to Sparta. It is a disease that has caused the rise and fall of empires and has even taken more lives during wars than the fighting itself. Therefore what should in all-rights be an incredibly weak mystery has taken on the grudges of more than two thousand years’ worth of victims to become a curse. Humans who are infected are instantly killed. Magi with resistance can last a bit longer. Servants on the other hand go through a four day course following the mechanism of the disease.

The first day, all parameters are rank-down.

The second day, mental interference is applied. Rose spots appear on the Servant’s chest.

The third day, the Servant is damaged over time. The mental interference also worsens.

And on the dawn of the fourth day the Servant dies.

Since it has taken on a materialized curse form, a Servant with enough MGI or LUC can negate it. Also those with curse evasion or curse resistance are strong against it.

Traditionally the bacteria is transmitted via the fecal-oral route, therefore the bacteria resides in the Servant’s unwashed hands and also the carving fork which she wields into battle.

The true scope of the Noble Phantasm is revealed if the Servant’s gallbladder is pierced. Then the bacteria move into her body permuting and violating every part of her. This action nullifies her Mental Pollution allowing her to realize who and what she is really is. This undoubtedly breaks her mind and in that sense it maybe be better to categorize this Noble Phantasm as “Anti-Self.” However, she also gains the skill Battle Continuation. Since the Noble Phantasm is now also the body, whenever a limb is cut off the Noble Phantasm can act as a limb made of a materialized curse which can also function in as a weapon. At this stage she is no longer Mary Mallon, but just Typhoid.

Basically a combination of a lot of concepts. A very recent servant who sucks combat wise. Throw her in the water supply and you can wreck havoc. Final resort would be using a CS to make herself turn into some kind Tentacle Typhoid monster. The mind break thing is very Legend of Dracula.

    Feedback appreciated, yah.

Huh, I thought Talos was made by Daedalus.

Mary is pretty awesome. The NP is much more in depth than Hassan of Serenity.
