Vlov defeated. In terms of personality, he was as much of a non-character as Nrvnqsr, if not more, and Nrvnqsr had a much more interesting power. Can’t complain about all the Kenjirou Tsuda screaming though.

I haven’t seen Noel turning yet, so all I can say at this point is that all Executors operate in pairs of one mentor and one disciple. Ciel, being from the Burial Agency and all that, is obviously the mentor in her duo.

Noelle seems kinda stupid anyway, given that when she and Mario met Shiki, the latter was always correcting her and even puppeteered her. That last part just confused me.

Also, was Nrvnqsr really that much of a non-character? He seemed like so much more based on what I saw here. That, and Carnival Phantasm.

Nrvnqsr's role was ultimately just to be a red herring. Shiki thinks he's the murderer going around town only for Arc to tell him about Roa after Nrvqsr dies. Vlov replacing him doesn't change anything because Nrvnqsr's role didn't require him specifically, any Dead Apostle would work.

I remember being surprised by how little he really does the first time I read Tsukihime.

He was a great boss, but Nasu wasn’t really trying to give him (or Vlov for that matter) a memorable personality or relevant motivations.

Nrvnqsr at least claims he's after Arcueid, while Vlov is just... well, making the city's inhabitants his livestock? Seeing that he set up a lair there, and doesn't seem to mention Arcueid as his goal.

Based on what I've seen, Vlov seemed barely conscious and almost overwhelmed by his Idea Blood. Is that accurate?
