Well, just looking at the numbers posted, she'd have to be putting out a third of a terawatt to have significant physical effect. Escape velocity is going to require a lot more force, so she's going to have to be putting out an amazing amount of energy. Even in Zero, Excalibur doesn't seem to put out that much, so I'd guess that she can't use it as a rocket.
That's through simple photon thrust alone. If we take into account superheating the air under you to generate a lift force alongside the photon beam I think we should have a different result.
This also relies heavily on the fact that the photon wavelength is free to change with its energy input. My laser-fu is pretty weak, but if I'm not wrong most lasers only generate a single wavelength even when you pump them crazy full of energy.
That reminds me, I forgot to answer food's question
If we assume industrial strength lasers, I think my horrendous calculation two pages ago would be relevant to answer this question. That is, no way in hell.

Don't know much about the Red Baron, but isn't Military Tactics A a little high? Alexander himself has only B, and is regarded as one of the greatest military minds of history (though is true he doesn't really show it). Similar with Charisma.
Uhm i didn't know about alexander,i thought that since he commanded a battalion his skill would be high, well i think i will degrade charisma and tactics to C.In the end,he is really weak as a servant

The Knight’s Last Tragic Call
A Knight Swears Allegiance To His Liege
Rank: B
Type: Support
This Noble Phantasm is activated when Roland leaves the Holy Grail War, and this Noble Phantasm is chosen. Upon leaving, the Master becomes unable to attack, or touch another Servant until the War is over, and vice versa. Attacks will be repelled harmlessly, and a magnetic-like shield will repel all forms of physical contact. In addition, the Master will gain a Servant-like Luck parameter equivalent to A, and Agility equivalent to C.
The Knight’s Last Heroic Call
A Knight’s Blade Is Given By His Liege
Rank: B
Type: Support
This Noble Phantasm is activated when Roland leaves the Holy Grail War, and this Noble Phantasm is chosen. Upon leaving, the Master inherits the ability to use Durendal: Sunrise Blade of Justice, and the Noble Phantasm ability with it – in addition, he has all of Roland’s statistics, minus two ranks (E being minimum rank.)
Durendal: Sunrise Blade of Justice
Destroyer of the Faithless
Rank: A
Type: Anti-Unit
This Noble Phantasm sends a shockwave of powerful energy that is capable of obliterating both buildings and landscape in its pathway. The initial strike is nearly always fatal or damaging to a Servant if the opponent is close enough to be hit by Durendal: the shockwave extends 150 metres in a cone-like shape with a diameter of ten metres. This shockwave is enough to kill most humans.

Type: Anti-Army/Support
Mavia summons an army of troops, where the ability Charisma is immediately used to instil them with fervour for her and her cause. This army contains 150 armed and armoured Saracens that speak only their native language and whatever language the user of the Noble Phantasm speaks, but are much weaker than Servants. They can be used to raid, or rush an enemy Servant. These troops last for 24 hours. If somehow this ability is stolen by another ability, ritual, or Noble Phantasm, the invoker must use Charisma to persuade the troops to their side.

All Come To Dust, And To Dust We Will Return
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Fortress
All magic fields set up via the skill ‘Territory Creation’ instantly begin to drain the mana from anyone not strong enough to resist it and feed it directly and immediately to Caster. Anyone inside with magic resistance will not be affected. Magi will be not as endangered as normal humans. Having a Servant with magic resistance makes the Master immune to this Noble Phantasm. There is no limit to the number of magic territories that can be used in this Noble Phantasm.
Voluntary Slaughter: Crimson Red Vermillion
Her Name Is Lust, Whore of Babylon
Rank: A++
Type: Support/Anti-Army
This Noble Phantasm requires such a mana drain that the Master’s life will be endangered upon being cast, and can only be used with at least a week’s break between usages. Caster transforms into a being with the power of a Crimson Red Vermillion. Caster’s Mana decreases to C- but her Agility and Strength becomes B++ and her Endurance C+, and her Luck C for the duration of this effect. Her hair becomes a crimson colour during this effect. Caster’s hands become claw-like and drain a little bit of mana with each hit that draws blood. This effect lasts until deactivated, but after an hour the Master’s life force will be used to keep the effect active.

Class: Saber
True Name: Richard Sharpe
Sex: Male
Height: 183 cm
Weight: 54.5 kg
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Strength: C (better than unreinforced Emiya)
Endurance: B (despite his build he takes insane amounts of punishment in his series)
Agility: B (very agile for a normal human)
Magical Energy: E (magic does not exist in his setting so he is equivalent to Assassin in this department, for better or for worse)
Luck: B (very lucky guy throughout his life)
Noble Phantasm: B (fff)
Class Abilities
Magic Resistance: D (granted by the class; no magic exists in the setting he's from)
Riding: E (can ride horses but is not a trained cavalryman)
Details
A British soldier that fought during the British wars in India and the Napoleonic Wars, up until the Battle of Waterloo. Unusualy for the time, Sharpe became an officer promoted from the ranks and led a lifetime of battle and daring exploits which majorly affected the course of history, though his efforts were often not recognized at the time.
Skills
Instinct: A (Sharpe's fighting instincts are incredible, honed from a lifetime of battle across the entire world.)
Battle Continuation: C (Sharpe is ridiculously tough and difficult to put down.)
Charisma: D (Able to inspire and increase the morale of a small unit)
Military Tactics: D (Able to expertly control the actions of a small unit)
Subversive Activities: C (Sharpe often operated behind enemy lines on various missions or misadventures which greatly affected the course of the wars he was involved in)
Noble Phantasm
1796-pattern heavy cavalry sword (modified)
A standard issue British weapon of the time, lovingly modified by Sharpe's best friend Patrick Harper. This is not so much a sword as an edged club, and rather than fence with it, Sharpe used his brute strength and incredible speed to simply smash down the guards of virtually anyone he faced, chopping them to pieces.
Rank: C (it's a big nasty sword, though it has no special abilities or magical enhancements)
Type: Anti-Personnel Noble Phantasm
Range: 1-2
Maximum Target: 1 person
Baker Rifle
Sharpe was assigned primarily to Rifle skirmisher units over the course of his career, and aquired a significant amount of expertise in the use of his weapon, which is relatively accurate to an impressive range. However, since it is an antique muzzle-loader, it cannot be rapid fired, though it does have a bayonet to allow Sharpe to defend himself at close range if neccesary.
Rank: B (Higher rank because servant-use firearms are not common and it is effective against any kind of armor that was in use at the time)
Type: Anti-Personnel Noble Phantasm
Range: 1-20 (the Baker Rifle has a much longer effective range than a bow or a thrown knife)
Maximum Target: 1 person
Sharpe would also work as an Archer (rifleman, durr) or as a Berserker (this one is obvious if you've ever read the novels)
I briefly considered Mind's Eye (True) instead of Instinct, but Sharpe is most definitely not the cool and calculating kind of fighter.
Here's another take on a possible Servant Roland
True Identity: Roland (well, duh)
Class: Rider (can also be of the Saber class (loses one of his NPs) or of the Berserker class (loses all but one of his NPs)
Gender: Male
Strength- C
Endurance- A+ (considering that he and a bunch of other knights stopped a whole effing army and even then Roland had to self-kill himself with Oliphaunt, I think it's kinda accurate)
Agility- B
Prana- D
Luck- C
Class Abilities:
Riding- A
Magic Resistance- B (due to wielding Durandal, the holy sword bestowed upon his king by the angels. Or so the legends say. They also say it used to belond to Hector of Troy so maybe there some ancient Greek defense mumbo-jumbo at play, too)
Personal Skills:
Battle Continuation- A+ (again, the army didn't kill him, he got fed up they couldn't kill him and yet they could still pass him by and catch up to his king, so he kinda rage-quit)
Bravery- A
Guardian Knight- B (since the A in this rank is given to a Saint, I think the B rank is more suitable)
Noble Phantasms:
Durandal- The Peerless Sword- A+ (considering it's said to be at least on par with Excalibur and it has parts of three different Saints built into it, I think it qualifies for the rank)- Durandal is imbued with the power of three miracles- The Miracle of Ultimate Protection (a blessing from the Virgin Mary that can stop any attack, no matter the rank but can be used one time and one time only), The Miracle of Eternal Vigor (a blessing by Saint Denis, it allows the sword to never dull no matter the prana capacity of the wielder- ergo even a human can wield it and it'll be as sharp as ever), The Miracle of Heaven's Might (a blessing by Saint Peter, giving the sword enough power to shatter even the gates of Heaven). Ranges from anti-personnel to anti-army
Veillantif- Enchanted Charge of Vigilance- B - Roland someone his steed Veillantif and proceeds to mow down enemies. Anti-army
Oliphaunt- Herald of a Transcending Victory - EX - Roland's ultimate last resort that he can only use at the cost of his own life. A Reality Marble that summons King Charlemagne's army, the rest of the Twelve Peers included. And since all those knights in the army are lesser Heroic Spirits themselves and the other eleven paladins are as mighty as Roland himself and have full use of their abilities, skills and NPs, it's understandable that there is no way for Roland to survive the summoning, no matter how much prana his Master supplies to him.
Thoughts, opinions, anything?
A whole world away from Fuyuki, in a city of mages, a new War threatens to break out. Seven new Masters are chosen and enter a life-changing battle, unknowingly becoming part of a War in which there are more players than the eyes can see...
Tbh, I dont think Roland would have Oliphaunt, tbh.
Summoning Charlemagnes Army, should be something Charlemagne does (if at all). Roland was just one of the Twelve Peers. Its the equivalent of Lancelot or Bedivere summoning the Knights of the Round. Does not make sense, imo.
SERVANT SACCHIN
BERSERKER WITH MOENESS RANK A+, IT EXISTS!
Hmn, that profile a couple posts back reminds me -- don't think I've ever seen anyone suggest Jack Churchill as a Servant.
Seriously, he might be modern and not have quite so much fame, but is he Heroic Spirit material? I'd say definitely.
And his class? Archer (longbow), perhaps Saber (claymore)? No, Mad Jack is none other than a Berserker.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simo_H%C3%A4yh%C3%A4
This dude is probably one of the very few candidates for a gun-wielding Servant.
On the contrary, as far as I know of Roland's legend, his last task is to defend the fleeing army of Charlemagne with jsut a few people because the Muslims are chasing them in waves. Roland is explicitly ordered that if he sees he can't hold the mountain pass, he should sound the horn. He fights to the point that he can't even stand upright and nearly all of his people are dead after stopping wave after wave of Muslims. And then Roland actually uses the horn so his uncle the king can come and try to save whatever survivors of Roland's unit are left. He puts so much power behind it that his heart bursts and he died on the spot.
At least that's the version I know and IMO Oliphaunt has always being associated with Roland.

The White Death would really be a game-breaker IMO. And his probably going to have an Endurance rating of A+ considering what that guy lived through.
