Entrusted with the stability kingdom while the king was away, Rider was well-versed in how to manage a country and lead its armies.

Unto The End (A):
The Servant’s connection with their Master strengthens each passing moment. Parameters gradually increase the longer they are together. As a consequence, it is difficult for the Servant to be controlled by Command Spells.

A long-time and precious friend to the king, Rider was his first knight and most loyal companion right until the very end.

Golden Rule (B-):
Capable of amassing a great amount of wealth. At this rank, it is a curse rather than a boon.

At the end, despite their history together, it took Rider three attempts for her to finally obey the last request of her king, risking treason and death against the symbol which embodied the kingdom and the hopes and dreams of all its people.

To atone for this, when that end came shortly thereafter, she stayed behind ever waiting for him to return, abandoning all material possessions and leading a simpler, quieter life in prayer.

Monsterslayer (D):
A skill which grants an advantage over monsters and Servants with monstrous qualities.

Rider fought and slew the giant of Mont Saint Michel, but had help from others in order to do so. Therefore, her rank in this is less than impressive though the deed itself was.

It is possible for the rank to increase if paired together with another possessing the same skill.

The Passing Of A Legend (C, Self):
Whatever enemy Noble Phantasm Rider comes into contact with has the chance to be sealed. Alternatively, if the Noble Phantasm is that of an ally, its effectiveness increases. In addition, whether belonging to friend or foe, as long as Rider has seen or used it or something close to it in her lifetime, it is possible for another’s Noble Phantasm to become her own for a brief duration of time.

A Noble Phantasm born from being the carrier of the holy sword of the Once and Future King in his final moments, and as sole witness to the passing of an age along with it.

Equipment: A gigantic sword Berserker carries, more comparable to a hunk of metal roughly crafted into the shape of a blade. Runes in ancient Latvian script are inscribed all along the flat of the blade, pulsing softly with magical energy.

Personality: Normally kind-hearted and docile, yet fierce in anger. Deeply loyal to his country of Latvia above all else, treating its freedom as his highest value. His head will never bow to oppressors and Berserker would rather die than obey the commands of a Master he regards as contemptible. Yet, if the Master is one he views to embody the great Latvian spirit, Berserker will serve them stalwartly to the best of his ability. He is especially loyal and protective towards female Masters, due to feeling a certain likeness between them and his beloved wife Laimdota. As partially beast himself, he greatly enjoys spending time in the wild outdoors and feels a strong kinship with fellow wild animals, particularly she-bears.

Though normally a broad-minded and accepting sort, Berserker is fiercely incompatible with all Christian or Germanic heroes who he believes to be sinister oppressors conspiring with the devil to destroy Latvian sovereignty. The mere sight of a cross or the German imperial flag is sure to throw Berserker into a mad rage.

Showing loyalty to "Latvia", the country he swears allegience to is not merely the physical one of flesh and blood. In Berserker's mind, the blood of Latvia runs deep in all people who cry out for freedom regardless of nationality. As such, he views defending the weak against the strong to be a matter of course.

Normally sacrifices reason in exchange for raw power.

At such a low rank, Berserker is not truly mad and his disposition is merely somewhat rougher than his original self. His mind is locked on the task of "defending the motherland" but overall it is still possible to hold a reasoned conversation with this Servant. Does not raise parameters.

When dealt a grievous wound, there is a small chance that Berserker will explode into a truly terrifying rage to charge down the enemy even at the cost of his own life. Should that scenario come to pass, Berserker's effective rank in this Skill rises to B with all parameters receiving a rank-up until his fury ceases.


Personal Skills:

Protection From Water- A
A divine protection from the water spirits, declining the damage received from all water-based attacks directed at the Servant.

Berserker receives this Skill due to affections bestowed from the Latvian water goddess Staburadze, who rescued him after he was nearly drowned in a river by a witch and subsequently nursed the young hero back to health in her undersea palace.

As additional effects of the goddess' blessing, Berserker's wounds heal faster while submerged and he is fully capable of breathing underwater without issue.

Monstrous Strength- B-
An innate ability possessed by monsters and beasts; denoting the power to raise one's Strength for a given duration. At this rank, Berserker can grant himself a rank-up in strength lasting for the entirety of battle.

Berserker's mother was a ferocious she-bear from which the hero inherited his naturally immense strength and gigantic build. However, this strength dwells solely in Berserker's bearish ears- a mark of his animalistic heritage. Should his ears be ever cut off or otherwise wounded beyond repair, this Skill will be permanently sealed as Berserker additionally suffers a rank-down to all physical parameters for the remainder of the Holy Grail War.

Comparable to the fateful heel of Achilles or the bared back of Siegfried, this is another case where a hero's greatest power is also their most crippling weakness.

Battle Continuation- A
The ability to continue fighting while injured, and emerge alive from even the roughest of battles. At this rank, Berserker can persevere from nearly any injury, with only a decisive fatal wound to the head or heart able to put him down for good.

Berserker's feats of tenaciously fighting for his country until his very last breath have surely awarded him a great ranking in this Skill. Even while his ears- the source of all his inhuman strength- were severed by the Black Knight Berserker still refused to surrender, instead mustering the last of his strength to hurl himself at his final opponent and send them both plunging off a cliff into the raging river below.

Affections Of The Motherland- EX
A Skill granted to those who battled for a given country to the point of being considered as embodiments of its land and people. Not mere patriotic devotion but a spiritual blessing from the land itself, bestowed to one who fights to protect it.

So long as Berserker treasures the image of his beloved Latvia close to his heart, he obtains a constant rank-up to Luck and a bonus modifier for every kind of check. However, the benefits will fade quickly if Berserker is put under the effect of any kind of mental interference Magecraft that causes him to forget his homeland.

For that reason the fearsome Black Knight, an otherworldly existence that drew out the beliefs and memories of anyone who came near him, was truly Berserker's most challenging foe that he only barely defeated at the cost of his own life.

Vanguard Of The Stars- C+
A unique Skill afforded to those heroes that valiantly defended turning points in human history. Differing from Pioneer Of The Stars, it regards those who fought to protect an existing order rather then forging a new one in the farthest horizon. All defensive battles and challenges considered "impossible" are turned into "events that can be realized".

Berserker's legend was that of defending his native Latvia from Christian and Germanic influence which sought to oppress its people and crush the old gods. A stalwart guardian of the existing era against the relentless tide of Christian imperialism; his ownership of this Skill is a sublimation of those very feats.

In the case where the opponent is of either Christian or Germanic descent, Berserker's effectiveness in defensive battles is doubled.


Noble Phantasms:


Pravietojums Staburadze- Thricefold Death And Rebirth (B, Support): After first being thrown into a river, Berserker was rescued by the goddess Staburadze, who told that this was only his first death of those to come. She then prophesied that Berserker would die and come back to life three times over the course of his adventures, and undergo three transitions from oppression to freedom.

Berserker's second "death" came when the traitorous Kangars stole away the hero's wife and deceived him into believing that she had eloped with his best friend. Heartbroken and in despair, Berserker momentarily abandoned his faith in his country and sailed far to the northern sea to nurse his woe. There, he met the beautiful goddess of the north wind who convinced him to resume his heroic journey.

His third and final death came at the hands of the Black Knight. Stripped of most of his power, Berserker gave one last prayer to his beloved motherland before charging into the final seemingly hopeless struggle. His ultimate triumph came at the cost of his own life, plunging into the Daugava river alongside his mortal foe.

That was how the hero's life ended, though legend tells of a day when he shall someday return to life to guide the people of Latvia to freedom once more.

These anecdotes crystallize into a threefold divine protection surrounding Berserker. When put into a scenario where death is a certainty, this Noble Phantasm activates automatically to insure Berserker's survival. Swords shatter against his body. Arrows are blown off course by a sudden wind. Natural disasters that scourge the surrounding area leave him miraculously unscathed and so on. Even a sure-kill technique such as Gae Bolg will nonetheless refuse to hit against all logic, rebuked by the layers of divine protection shrouding Berserker.

However, the third time Berserker is put in a situation of mortal peril, this Noble Phantasm entails the opposite effect. Fate is contrived, not to grant Berserker survival, but to insure that he takes his enemy down with him. In this case, Berserker receives a last burst of dying strength- empowered by fate itself- to charge down the enemy and inflict a mortal blow before perishing himself.

As it is a conceptual effect which assures the opponent's demise, evasion is not a matter of physical strength or speed but one's natural ability to defy fate. A Luck stat of A+ or higher is required for the opponent to survive this last-ditch charge.


Laimdota- My Soul Is Unto Thee, Oh Motherland (EX, Reality Marble, Anti-Legend): Berserker's greatest Noble Phantasm is simply the country of Latvia itself. He has been nursed by all Latvian mothers and his soul is that of all Latvians who yearned for liberty.

Invoking this Noble Phantasm, the surrounding area is shifted into a landscape of pastoral tranquility and natural splendor. Sprawling green fields seeming to extend for eternity in all directions. Rustic villages echoing with the pleasant din of children playing and couples arguing light-heartedly amongst one another. And in the far distance lie great temples, palaces and other monuments of ancient history.

The simultaneous grudge and impossible dream of a downtrodden nation forced to endure countless indignities and persecutions at the hands of foreign powers such as the Germanic Empire, this Reality Marble presents a vision of Latvia pure and unsullied by invading influence. An inviolate inner sanctum where Latvian culture and mythology reign supreme, denying all foreign power and influence at a conceptual level.

Within this idyllic domain, Berserker's fame and cultural sphere bonus increase enormously to rival that of world renowned heroes the likes of King Arthur or Heracles. By contrast, the fame of his (foreign) opponents is crushed to the lowest level of obscurity, depriving intruders of all of the advantages they'd normally enjoy from being summoned in their native country or receiving worldwide veneration from mankind. For heroes greatly reliant on their prestige such as Vlad III and Cu Chulainn this is a truly crippling assault, declining parameters and sealing certain Noble Phantasms due to a lack of fame to support their manifestation.

While this alone insures Berserker an absolute advantage in his chosen territory, there is another even more powerful effect he may rely on.
For you see, Berserker's name is not etched into any tablets of legend. In truth, there is no historical or mythical basis behind his existence whatsoever. He is an

folk hero

artificial legend

, one given form by the wishes of Latvia's people for a chosen hero to come and liberate them from their oppressors.

Ever since it was first molded by the Latvian poet Andrejs Pumpurs, his legend shifted with each successive retelling. Once a warrior of savagery, then a staunch pacificist, a hero fated from birth to one forged through circumstance. From his background and history even to his very name and physical characteristics, all were malleable as the story of Berserker was told and retold across generations. The only thing that remained steadfast was his role as a champion of Latvia and defender of its freedoms. Indeed, Berserker's true essence is simply that of Latvia itself. The ceaseless growth and evolution of his legend mirrored that of a still youthful and immature nation seeking to forge its own path upon the world stage.

Within the conceptual domain of Latvia, Berserker may call upon this aspect of "transmutation of one's legend". Unlike other Heroic Spirits with legends engraved eternally into stone, the mythos comprising Berserker's identity is more akin to a stream, ever flowing and branching off down a thousand divergent paths. He may select any attribute of his legend and "remold" it within a certain scope, raising or lowering parameters at will and even granting himself entirely new Skills and abilities so long as they have some basis in Latvian folk legend.

This is a truly powerful ability which renders Berserker a terrifying foe to face in battle, his abilities and fighting style continuously shifting and blending into one another. One moment, he is unyielding as stone. The next, he is as swift as the wind. Then, he is a raging river sweeping over enemies.

Though normally manifesting a Reality Marble of any kind would be utterly beyond Berserker's capabilities, his deep bond with the Latvian people have granted him power to call upon a simulacrum of their lands as his own. A crystallized miracle born out of the combined hopes and prayers of every citizen who wished for a free Latvia, held upon Berserker's own shoulders.

As a final note, the name crowning this Noble Phantasm is that of Berserker's beloved wife Laimdota, thought to symbolize the very soul of Latvia itself.

I now I said I wouldn't be making any more Servant sheets for a while, but I was struck with inspiration for this guy after seeing his name in a list of possible Servant ideas over on Reddit. A pretty obscure hero this time around, but I feel I did justice to him pretty well. Also, I realized how I wrote Personality was becoming increasingly overwrought and... not at all fun to write, so I tried to go for a more simple and straightforward take this time, just listing his character traits with less poetic excess.

I didn't know of any Latvian Heroic Spirits (and I wonder where we'll put him in the main post), but its pretty good. Interesting variations on some classic stuff. The bear-ears and Protection from Water are nice. I think I might change the RM ranking from EX to A+, but I respect the decision to leave it as is as well.

I wonder if if there isn't another skill that does the same thing as Vanguard of the Stars. I've probably just seen something similar to that under a different name in another sheet and it's messing with my head.

Fighting abilty: he is expetionaly strong for a castor but this is entirely do to his status as war God as well as being as being the chief God of Norse mythology and no other reason, although he does ad ment that his stats would be far higher if he was sommuned as a lancer, and his personality puts him upon for stacks as he truly belaver he can never be beaten by anyone do to his primary NP.

Valhalla the legendary heaven said to be the place were Odin eats with the honored dead, it's basicly abilty is that holds a copy of every hero there ever has been and allows Odin to sommuned up to ten, however there stats are each one rank lower as is there Phantasms, but unlike servents they posses all the pahanatsms they had in life, for example he could sommune arteria and she would Weald the holy lancer avolon and Excalibur, of course since he has weak levels of mana high class servents are extremely difficult to manta in gif any longer that ten days.

The eye of Odin: b class, type anti personal.
This abilty allows Odin to see every possible versions Battle will go, but only once a week. And it posses no abilty to cause damage.

Odin's spear, rankles: this birth allows him to change his class from castor to lancer for 1 min, by utilizing one of his ruins, and allows him to use a single strike from gungnir, however it can only be used once a day.

venomking: Okay, now this is getting ridiculous. A Servant sheet would be more then just two small paragraphs and a flimsy stat sheet. Especially for somebody like Odin, who you could do a ton of stuff with. Also, why would his NP make him so confident? It's basically just a crappier version of Ionian Hetairoi. Chief god of Norse Mythology deserves better, IMO.

Maybe. I originally came up with the Skill as a defensive variant of Pioneer Of The Stars for my Flavius Aetius Servant, after JetKinen pointed out the regular version didn't quite fit him.
