Lucius Artorius Castus: Though I did express my skepticism for the Legend of Arthur, you managed to make it work very well. Kudos for that. I do however have a question on the workings of it. Is is possible to take a given Crest from someone and pass it onto another target (I would imagine the Crest would somehow bind itself to its user, but that's just me)? Another obvious continuation to this would be about whether or not the Crest can be cut off or stolen from the person it has been passed onto, as well as the particular mechanics of this kind of situation.

Hm, I honestly hadn't thought about it, but I guess that the crest stays with its original owner no matter what. If you use something like Rule Breaker, for example, then the crest would be rendered useless (in the case of Gáe Dearg, the power of the crest would return after the spear stops touching)

    LUCK: C+
    NP: B

    Skills
    Class Skills

Magic Resistance - Rank B: Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether.
Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.

True Name Discernment - Rank C: A Class Skill of the Ruler class where status information such as one's identity, Skills and Parameters are automatically revealed to the owner of this Skill when directly encountering a Servant.
If summoned as a Ruler, during a direct encounter, a Servant's true name and entire status information will be automatically revealed. In regards to Servants with concealment abilities, a Luck Check is required to bypass those abilities.

God’s Resolution - Rank E: A Class Skill of the Ruler class and is the privilege of the Ruler presiding over the Holy Grail War; the right to use Command Spells against Servants, only given to Rulers. Each Ruler is normally granted two Command Spells for each Servant that participates in the Holy Grail War.
Due to his enmity with the normal candidates for his current class, Ruler only gains a single Command Spell for each Servant. One Command Spell can be used for each Servant participating in the Holy Grail War. Cannot re-purpose the Command Spells of others.

Territory Creation - Rank A-: Ordinarily a Caster-class Skill. It is the Skill to build a special terrain that is advantageous to oneself as a magus, such as for the purpose of collecting mana.
Ruler can construct a ‘Temple’ superior to a ‘Workshop’, but his territory carries a steep upkeep cost in order to keep it running due to retaining the resource problems of his life even as a Servant.

    Personal Skills

Imperial Privilege - Rank A: An ability that, due to the insistence of the owner, Skills that are essentially impossible to possess can be obtained for a short period of time. In cases when the Rank is А or above, even the "burden to the body" can be acquired (such as Divinity).
For Ruler, the relevant Skills are Military Tactics, philosophy, Riding, Mana Burst (Light) and Divine Words.

The Last Stand of Paganism - Rank EX: A unique Personal Skill representing the user’s role in the history of Christianity. It grants a ‘plus’ modifier to all actions taken against targets with Christian origins to Ruler himself as well as his allies. Further, all those falling in the confines of ‘Paganism’ when it comes to their origins will receive a strong boost to their offensive power against targets with Christian origins while Ruler is nearby.
Ruler was the last individual holding the personal power to check the advance and spread of Christianity. Though paganism underwent a popularization during his era, Ruler was unable to weaken the hold that Christianity held. After his death, Christianity became resurgent and started on the road to becoming the world religion that it is today.

Protection of the Faith - Rank C: A Skill possessed only by those who have sacrificed themselves for a religious view. Despite being a form of divine protection, it is not a blessing from a higher existence. It is the absoluteness of one’s body and mind that was born from their beliefs. But if it is too high, it causes abnormalities in the personality.
Though not a Christian, Ruler lived an ascetic, pious life, similar to many of the Christian emperors that followed him.

Charisma - Rank B+: A composite Skill consisting of a person's charm as well as the natural talent to command or unify an army or country. Increases the ability of allies during group battles. A rare talent, and an ability inherent to Servants of the Saver class.
Having B Rank in this Skill is sufficient to lead a nation as its King or Queen. The morale of military forces he or she commands is extremely high. Ruler was well-liked enough by his troops that they rose in open rebellion against their emperor for Ruler’s sake.

    Noble Phantasms

Romance Towards the Age of Gods
    Reviva Hellenistica

    Anti-Army, Rank A+
A Noble Phantasm functioning as the fulfilment of Ruler’s dream, the world where gods ruled. Reviva Hellenistica is a Reality Marble, and though he had worked at completing it, not one that was possible to materialize during Ruler’s life. It perfectly simulates the World during the Age of Gods, replacing the laws of physics with those of Mystery. Reviva Hellenistica also bestows Mystery equivalent to that of the oldest texts in the Hellenic mythology on Ruler himself, who acted as the champion of what he called ‘Hellenism’.
Though bestowing Ruler with absolute power over those with lesser amounts of Mystery, Reviva Hellenistica can also easily result in Ruler’s own demise if faced with a foe originating from before the Iliad was written. A Mystery built over 3,000 years is considered sufficient to overcome Ruler while the Reality Marble is active.
However, as the work of a Magus characterized by not being completed during his life, Reviva Hellenistica is dependent on a workshop and thus can only be activated in the vicinity of Ruler’s Territory.

    Description
    Likes: Mystery, theosophy
    Dislikes: Rivals, irony
    Talents: Undermining his enemies, studying
    Natural Enemy: Constantius II, Jesus

Ruler’s true identity is Julian, the Apostate Emperor.

Though not someone fit to be a Ruler at first glance, Julian qualifies for the class as an unorthodox representative. His works in life were aimed partly at preserving Mystery, and after his defeat he no longer has a particular wish to fulfill.
Befitting a Ruler, Julian acts in a clear-headed and forthright manner. In his role as arbitrator, he is prone to trying to resolve disputes by resorting to reason foremost, with the use of the force of the Command Spells being considered a last resort. Julian is also fond of complimenting bravery and skill, chafing at the fact that his neutral role prevents him from properly rewarding those that impress him.
Julian was a staunch enemy of Christianity in life, but he has found a kind of grace in defeat, and as such bears no ill will towards them. As he sees it, two religions fought for dominance and Christianity won. There is no reason to bear hard feelings or hold on to the possibility of a comeback, and he considers the matter settled. Due to how he died, however, he dislikes Saints, feeling that they and the miracles related to them are “cheating” when it comes to conflicts in religion.
Despite his tenure as an emperor being the prime reason for his fame, Julian views himself primarily as a man of knowledge and as such emulates a fitting way of battle, the spellcasting of a magus. In battle, he uses his Imperial Privilege to attain magecraft suitable for one who yearns for the Age of Gods. Julian mainly attacks by simulating the holy rays of the Sun through the use of Divine Words.
When it comes to Servants, Julian carries an intense interest in Heroic Spirits with origins related to non-Christian Divinity, especially toward those with ties to the Sun. He is prone to being overbearing with his attempts at dialogue with those he is interested in, and is likely to continue harrying them with written questions should attempts at conversation prove unfruitful. Though Julian does not like Christians, he treats them with a grudging sort of respect as heirs to his rivals.
Should he be somehow summoned by a Master, Julian will act as is considered proper for a Servant. Even so, his questions on the subject of modern Magecraft and the status of Mystery might prove an annoyance to Master’s not used to discussion on such matters. As he does recognize right from wrong, he would seek to eliminate an unjust Master as is the role of an arbitrator, though he would seek to undermine them in secret.
As a Ruler, Julian lacks a wish. He would have an interest in learning more about other religions, but he feels that learning such things through the Grail’s power is unnecessary. He also carries some disdain towards the Holy Grail itself, as it is a relic of Christian origin and a (false) representation of God’s miracles.

    Lore
The man who would become known as Julian the Apostate was born into the Constantinian dynasty.
Though raised as a Christian, Julian developed a disdain for the religion, deciding instead to focus on the philosophy of Greece. This eventually led to his interest in the traditional ways of Greece and Rome in general. He was also reputedly fascinated from a young age by the rays of the Sun. Over time, he also became aware of the teachings of the Magi and learned what he could of them, though he never fully embraced that path.
His studies were interrupted by the needs of the empire. A rebellion had risen in the western provinces, and Julian reluctantly parted with his studies, taking up the task of pacifying the area. In quick succession he learned the ways of command and strategy and took direct command of his troops. Julian’s early successes on the campaign earned him the title of co-emperor to Constantius II, and he became the Caesar of the West.
With the rebellion dealt with, Julian next embarked on a campaign against several Germanic tribes that had taken advantage of the rebels’ actions. His prowess and charisma was such that after one battle his soldiers attempted to declare him Augustus, the sole emperor, though Julian rejected such a title. In three years he managed to secure the Western provinces enough to focus on ruling his allotted territory.
In the fourth year of Julian’s stay in the Western provinces, war broke out in the East. Constantius sent an order for Julian’s troops to return to Constantinople to defend against this new threat, bypassing Julian completely. His troops, knowing the emperor Constantius’ bad opinion of their leader, rose up in open rebellion in order to stay by Julian’s side. Touched by his troops’ care for him, he accepted the title they had tried to bestow upon him earlier, being made Augustus. After a military demonstration against a Germanic king allied with Constantius, Julian took steps to solve the dispute between them diplomatically. Before they could reach Constantinople, however, Constantius died of disease, naming Julian as his successor.
Julian began to administrate his empire as best he could, then embarking on a campaign against the Persians invading his territory. Though he was once again successful early on, the Roman forces were halted due to their rapid invasion of the enemy’s territory, as their speed necessitated the removal of heavy siege weapons from their forces. Forced to retreat back to Roman territory, Julian’s forces were harried by the Persians, with Julian himself being wounded in one of the battles. He eventually died in mysterious circumstances, with Persian infiltrators, Christian Romans and even Saint Mercurius being counted among the culprits of his murder.

During the era of his solitary rule, Julian took certain steps to prevent the spread of Christianity. Having studied the legends of the Age of Gods and the decline of Mystery over the ages, he arrived to the conclusion that the rise of Christianity was a related phenomenon. Already somewhat bitter towards the nascent religion due to his preference for the classical Roman religion, he decided to oppose the scions of Galilea.
His reforms and projects were hampered by the fact that his predecessor as emperor had spent most of the public funds in support of the Christians, perhaps knowing what Julian intended. He also published several dissertations on his thoughts about paganism and religion in general while simultaneously administering the empire or leading military campaigns.
After Julian’s death, most of his work was undone by his successor, another Christian emperor. Ironically, many of Julian’s reforms actually made it easier for Christianity to overtake paganism as the prime religion within Roman borders. For his actions in restricting Christianity and promoting paganism, he was remembered by Christianity as ‘Julian the Apostate’.

    Notes
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a faceclaim with both a beard and the bling-crown he reputedly had, which resembled the rays of the sun. As the beard is actually mentioned, I went with the current faceclaim.

I also wish I’d noticed that he qualifies as Saber sooner. Might’ve been a more interesting sheet in its way. I’m disappointed enough by this portrayal that I might remake him as a Saber at some point.

Magic Resistance - Rank D: Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether.
Cancels Single-Action spells. Magic Resistance of the same degree of an amulet that rejects magical energy.

Riding - Rank A+: A Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding.
All vehicles and all creatures up to the level of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast can be used as mounts. However, that does not apply to members of the Dragon Kind.

    Personal Skills

Witchcraft - Rank C: A Skill that signifies one as a practitioner of Witchcraft. This magecraft has roots in both the eastern and western worlds.
Rider possesses an esoteric style of western Witchcraft as a Kharakternik. It has varied uses, having been shaped to be of use to a fighting force. Among possible effects are healing, both physical and spiritual, as well as manipulation of the weather. Augmentation and manipulation of the bodies of both the user and others is also possible.

Nature of a Rebellious Spirit - Rank C+: The temperament to never remain at one location and never embrace a lord. A wandering star that does not have the capacity to be king nor is capable of finding his own king. Negates the effects of Charisma with the same rank.
Though Rider was a lord in life, his defiance of all other authority figures grants him this Skill. As an added effect, he attracts like-minded, defiant individuals to himself.

Librarian of Stored Knowledge - Rank D: An ability that makes it possible for a clear recall of knowledge from memory with a successful Luck Check, even if the information perceived in the past was not consciously acknowledged at the time.
Due to oral tradition, Rider has access to a wealth of information on many subjects.

    Noble Phantasms
    Vengeance Built on Bones
    Pómsta Buduválo z Kistok

    Anti-Fortress, Rank C
A Noble Phantasm belonging more to the Zaporozhian Cossacks than Rider himself, but as their leader and someone with a grudge against the Russians, he is granted access to it. It is said that the construction of St. Petersburg cost many lives, including those of the Cossacks sent to aid in the effort. As such, the city is said to be “built on bones”, earning some ire from the Cossacks. Rider himself desires revenge on the Russians for destroying and desecrating his grave multiple times.
Conjuring up the bones of deceased Cossacks, Rider flings them in a barrage that covers a wide area. Though the attack deals insignificant damage, the bones sink into the ground on impact. Where the bones sink, the ground turns into a deadly mire, drawing those standing upon it under the now almost liquid earth. Targets that sink are immediately attacked by the vengeful spirits conjured alongside the bones, causing more damage the greater the degree of submersion. Buildings and fortresses sinking into the mire receive additional damage, allowing the submerged parts to be destroyed completely. The damage is also increased against targets of Russian origin.
Though the primary purpose of this Noble Phantasm is to turn the ground into a swamp using the cursed bones of vengeful Cossacks, it also allows Rider a measure of control over the conjured bones. Usually he uses it to construct a skeletal mount for himself. This skeletal horse is not only fearsome in appearance but also allows Rider to avoid sinking into the ground himself.

The Reply to the Vainglorious Ruler
    Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty

    Anti-King, Rank B+
The legendary reply letter of the Zaporozhian Host to Sultan Mehmed IV of the Ottoman Empire, manifested as a Noble Phantasm. It is a response Noble Phantasm, usable only on a foe that has professed their kingship and glory in Rider’s presence. In essence, Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty punishes the boastful nature often found in Servants that were sovereigns in life.
Taking the form of a string of terrible insults, Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty is an attack which, though magical in nature, strikes the target’s ego. As it is not something that strikes the body or the mind, it has the capability to bypass most forms of Magic Resistance. The target of Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty suffers a double rank-down to their parameters and their Skills and Noble Phantasms born from status or authority will be temporarily sealed. A successful Luck check allows one to avoid the Noble Phantasm sealing effect and reduces the rank-down to a single rank.
As it originated as a letter, it is possible to activate Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty long after its condition is fulfilled. In this case, Rider simply needs to deliver the message in some form to the target. When the target receives the message, the effect will activate.

    The Seven-Headed Dragon
    Urus-Shaitan

    Anti-Army, Rank B-
A Noble Phantasm that Rider considers a gift from his enemies. Derived from his name among the Ottomans, it is in truth something that he created in life to live up to his fell reputation. Translating literally to “War Devil”, he was also said to ride a seven-headed dragon. As his enemies believed such things, Rider saw fit to try and live up to his legend. Starting out as a rather complex Familiar, its age, coupled with Rider’s reputation among his enemies, has made it into something else entirely.
Urus-Shaitan is activated through the same power over bones and spirits as Pómsta Buduválo z Kistok. The bones gather to form the creature, manifesting as a Phantasmal Beast that greatly resembles a seven-headed dragon. Its true form is a Familiar constructed from the various bodies and having the leftover thoughts of Rider’s comrades implanted into it. The result was originally a Familiar that looked frightening but was of little help in battle. As a Noble Phantasm however, Urus-Shaitan boasts actual combat ability that draws frighteningly close to that of true Dragon Kind. Offensive power is the beast’s only trump card, as despite its wings, it is not capable of flight, and its defensive power is severely lacking. Though dangerous on the offense, the monster can be attacked from range to great effect,
As a constructed creature, Urus-Shaitan can be reconstructed should the monstrosity be destroyed, as long as there are pieces of the original remaining. Completely obliterating the creature will remove it from the world permanently. Furthermore, this Noble Phantasm cannot be used at the same time as Pómsta Buduválo z Kistok

    Description
    Likes: Outrageousness, alcohol
    Dislikes: Pomposity, authority figures
Talents: Taking the wind out of others’ sails, leadership
Natural Enemy: Mehmed IV, Peter the Great

Rider’s true identity is Ivan Sirko, the War-Devil of the Cossacks.

Wild, foul-mouthed and stubbornly independent, Ivan seems a warlike barbarian at first glance. He certainly loves to fight and respects opponents who have similar wishes, carrying a strong pride in his status as a warrior. Though switching sides and ideologies many times during his life, he is truly devoted to the principles of the Ukrainian Cossacks, if little else. Despite his coarse personality, Ivan is also quite introspective and dedicates himself largely to his perceived duties.
As a warrior-shaman and leader of his people that once traveled throughout the length and breadth of Europe, Ivan is knowledgeable on many subjects and cultures, further belying his appearance. He feels no real clash in his role as a devotee of magic as well a warrior, and holds pride in his mastery of both arts.
Ivan views all those devoted to the arts of battle, whether through force of arms or magic, as his comrades-in-arms. Conversely, he can’t stand cowards who slink around in the shadows or try to manipulate events from afar. As an eager warrior, Ivan is overjoyed at the concept of a Holy Grail War and wishes to match his talents against the legends of the rest of the world. He does possess some antipathy towards the Russians, mainly for their treatment of the Cossacks and their repeated defiling of his grave.
A notorious free spirit, however, Ivan despises most authority figures, especially those that rely on birthright as the basis of their rule. He has a grudging respect for those that can rule through strength or force of personality, but still dislikes them on principle. Arrogance, as far as his thinking goes, is the greatest sin, especially if there is little to back it up.
How Ivan feels about authority figures also applies to his Master. He cares little for orders and resents the thought of having to restrain himself, though he does try to serve their interests when possible. The less like a ruler his Master acts, the closer Ivan’s relationship to them can be. However, were he to meet a Master as truly battle-driven as himself, he would have no objections to serving under them.
Ivan’s wish to the Holy Grail is to allow him to fight on forever. He is not sure as to the method with which this could be achieved, but the idea of an existence of non-stop battle appeals to him strongly.

    Lore
According to the legend, the birth of Ivan Sirko was unusual - a boy was born with teeth than scared everyone present. His father tried to rectify the situation, saying that this was a sign Ivan would "gnaw on their enemies." However, this did not help. People treated him with apprehension. His unnatural birth led to him seeking refuge amongst the shamans and wise men of his people.
Ivan eventually grew to become an extraordinarily talented warrior and military leader, as well as one accepted into the ranks of the Cossack mystics, the Kharakterniki. He left his country to wage war in Europe, fighting on the side of the French in the Thirty Years’ War. In this conflict, he was responsible for the Cossack units on the French side capturing the fortress of Dunkirk, which had up until then proved impregnable.
Having had his fill of fighting in the mainland, Ivan eventually headed back towards his homeland. His merits in warfare had afforded him command of his own band of Cossacks, and he participated in many conflicts on the way home, earning more of name for himself. Ivan’s next famous war was fought in the Khmelnytsky Uprising of the Cossacks against Poland, and was reputedly among those who inspired the uprising.
A period of infighting among the Cossacks followed Ivan’s return to his home, only broken by an invasion of Russian territory by the Turks. Pledging allegiance to the tsar, Ivan went to war against the Turkish Sultan.
In the war against the Turks, Ivan’s prowess on the battlefield afforded him a grim reputation as a “war-devil” that rode upon a seven-headed dragon. Ivan’s most famous moment in this conflict came when the ruler of the Turks, Sultan Mehmed IV, sent a letter to Ivan’s band of Cossacks, ordering them to desist in their attacks. Uncharacteristically, the Cossacks responded to this with a letter of their own, sending a string of insults so foul that the letter itself has become a thing of legend.
After his death, his tomb was destroyed, relocated and generally mistreated by the Russians, who once even stole his skull for scientific analysis.

    Notes
Some of the Noble Phantasms on this one were more than a little bit of a stretch, but the sheet seemed a little thin with just Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty, which is what I originally planned.
Not sure how well this one worked out, comments would be welcome (the same applies to the other recent ones).

I like the visual image that this guy gives with his Noble Phantasms, but how about fusing the first and third NPs so that he summons the bones and spirits, then fuses them into the dragon? Something like Darius III's NP.

Damn. Should've though of that, since it would probably work as a better whole. Urus-Shaitan was a late addition so the combination didn't occur to me. To save me some trouble though, I suppose I'll make it so that Urus-Shaitan is a separate NP that is just activated with the same method (thus also preventing him from having two mounts at the same time and saving me some trouble with the editing).

Edited now, though I suppose that Pómsta Buduválo z Kistok is a bit superfluous compared to the other two.

I mentioned I'd make a sheet every day until the 24th and I'm sticking to that.

Shouldn't he have an higher rank in Magic Resistance than D if he can do magic to the point of creating bone dragons? Other than that, he's a pretty metal servant.

He's a little too modern for a higher rank by my standards. Regardless of the magic in his legend, I don't think it warrants more than one increase (in that I consider E to be the "baseline" MR for Riders - affected by age, experiences with magic and so on).

I suppose Julian's NP would be similar as a Caster (though he might have some sunbeamy NP), whereas Saber would probably have a fire-sword (or perhaps not - I was thinking Saber would be more mundane). I won't answer your usual question (on Goliath/Loki) mainly because I can't stop my own opinions from bleeding through (Goliath's still a chump though).

As for Sirko being your ancestor, that is interesting. I took you for a German (not that relation to Sirko rules that out). Not sure about his NPs in other classes though.

As for Caster stuff, Julian can make temples and probably works of art with magical properties (based on his dissertations) and Sirko could probably make camps (or a shaman's tent sort of thingy) and could probably make low-quality talismans.

Fakers don't really interest me, and I'd probably just end up making them Alter Egos anyway.

    The Lionhearted Rider of Camelot

"I meant to act like a man who was aloof to the world, who hid the hatred towards his mother inside his heart. But after everyone was dead, it turns out I was just a man who was aloof to the world."

    True Name: Ywain mab Urien
    Title: "Knight of the Lion"
    Origin: Mythological
    Period: Circa 5-6th Century
    Region: Britain
    Hidden Attribute: Human
    Catalyst: A lion's pelt
    Armament: A steel sword
    Alignment: True Neutral
    Likes: Animals, Drinking
    Dislikes: Betrayal, Serious People
    Talents: Playing Gwyddbwyll, Reconnaissance
    Natural Enemy: Morgan Le Fay

    Parameters:
    STR (B), END (B), AGI (C), MGI (A), LCK (C), NP (B)
    Appearance
Ywain takes the form of a man around his mid-thirties. He is a tall, somewhat thin-set man with a scraggly goatee and unkempt brown hair tied back in a rattail. Unlike most of Morgan's other children, he bears a lot stronger resemblance to his father rather than Morgan herself. He wears a suit of silver armour with a cape emblazened with his family's emblem. In combat he wields a traditional steel sword given to knights.

When not in combat, he can be seen wearing a leather fur-lined jacket, beige pants and brown loafers.

    Character:
(Ywains's parting words To Lancelot) "Do you think it's cool not to smile? If you just go through life like that, you won't find happiness. Even if it's hard - Even if it hurts, you have to laugh even during the worst of times."

Ywain is a carefree and easygoing man who is rarely fazed by anything. He talks and acts without thinking, even in trying circumstances that demand the utmost seriousness, much to the chagrin of his fellow Knights. He would even shirk his responsibilities whilst under King Arthur so most Masters would find him difficult to control unless they're willing to go drinking with him. His unexpected hobby is playing Gwyddbwyll - an ancient Celtic board game and precursor to chess, he would often play games against the King whilst they discussed military strategies using the game as an analogy. The King would always listen intently to what Ywain had to say as he happened to be quite insightful as he was a former prince raised in competition with Artoria. In terms of his likes, it's gotta be partying but also he dislikes being cooped up and prefers being in the outdoors alongside nature and animals, this often leads to someone like Gawain tempting him to go travelling which lands him in trouble with his wife who would rather he stick around more often. His dislikes include people who take things too seriously which puts him at severe odds with the likes of Lancelot, Tristan and Agravain. His nervous tic is to grip at the ring that hangs from his neck as it reminds of him what is most important (his wife) and always calms him down.

When faced with something that even he cannot joke about, he turns into a completely different man. He becomes an serious, determined and morally sound Knight who fights to uphold peace and justice. This unnatural change tends to unnerve his fellow Knights and casts an oppressive atmosphere towards the subject of his ire. The three main things that trigger this transformation are: Anything to do with his mother, vicious acts of betrayal or hurting the vulnerable.

His Wish upon the Grail? Actually, he didn't think that far ahead.

Side Note: Since he only spent a brief amount of time on the Round Table as a mere interim, he is one of the few Camelot Knights who cannot be summoned using a shard of said Table. Instead, the pelt of a British lion must be used as the catalyst instead.

    Skills:

    Class Skills

    Magic Resistance - (A)
Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Cancel spells of A-Rank or below, no matter what High-Thaumaturgy it is. In practice, the Servant is untouchable to modern magi, so it would not be an exaggeration to title the Servant a 'Magus Killer'.

    Riding - (B)
The Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding. All normal mounts can be ridden - even vehicles that did not exist in the time period one was alive in, for they are no exception. However those of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast-rank can not be used as mounts.

    Personal Skills

    Dragon Slayer - (C)
One of the special Skills provided for those who have took down a member of the Dragon Kind. It is not a talent given from heaven, but experience gained from killing a dragon. It can be said that the anecdote itself of Ywain having managed to slay a dragon has become this Skill. However, since Ywain did not accomplish this feat alone, he does not gain the full benefit of the Skill. At this Rank, grants moderately improved attack power and defence power against members of the Dragon Kind or humans with a Dragon Element like Artoria.

    Familiar Creation - (C)
An ability that allows the user to create a familiar and control it from a distance. This ability normally belongs to those of the Caster class and Ywain only has it due to incredible magical potential due to being the firstborn son of the Fay - Morgan and it being the only form of Magecraft that she taught him before abandoning him. It takes the form of ravens after the Urien's family coat of arms. These ravens are not particularly strong and definitely cannot harm a fellow Servant, but they do have a variety of utilities. They can be used for reconnaissance, as a distraction or even to combat enemy familiars.

Ring of the Red Knight - (A)
An Enchanted Ring Ywain wears around his neck which was gifted to him by his wife Laudine so that he would come to no harm until he returned to her. The Ring originally was created by Morgan and given to Esclados the Red Knight so that an endless storm accompanies him wherever he goes. But when worn by Ywain, the combination of his magical potential and the true love between him and Laudine manifested through the gemstone imbedded in the Ring as a protection guard that nullifies all attacks Ranked less than "A". As a final last ditch effort the Ring can also half the damage of an A-Ranked attack at the cost of shattering and the Skill is lost.

    Noble Phantasm:
    The Lion Returns the Favour
    Bester: King of Beasts

[Type - Summonable Mount], [Noble Phantasm Rank - B], [Maximum Range - 10 Metres], [Maximum Number of Targets - 1]

Ywain calls upon the power of Bester, his trusty companion whom he once saved from being locked in a bitter battle with a dragon. Bester is a Lion of abnormal size, about the height of the average man and boasts monstrous strength to easily bat away any normal knight that dare to approach it and speed equal to that of a cheetah. Despite being a Rider Class Servant, Ywain rarely rides Bester in combat, instead preferring to fight alongside the beast. This is advantageous against a single opponent as they are then effectively fighting two Servants at once. Obviously being flesh and blood, Bester is susceptible to injury and if killed cannot be summoned again for the duration of the Holy Grail War.

Ywain's ultimate technique is to recreate the famous scene when he slew a dragon together with Bester. He jumps upon Besters back and together they charge towards the opponent at great speed. But just before they reach their target, Bester halts with Ywain leaping into the air whilst Bester lunges underneath the enemy to knock them into the air. Ywain uses gravity to accelerate the speed of his downward slash and together he and Bester strike the enemy from above and beneath, tearing them in two.

    Relationships:
Cú Chulainn: Desperate to play a game of Gwyddbwyll against him since Cú's father Lugh invented it and thus Cú surely must be amazing at it. (He isn't.)

Artoria: Muses that being a King is a incredibly difficult task.

Gawain/Gareth/Gaheris: Can't remember which is which and complains about too many of his family became Knights.

Mordred: Pities her and would be willing to forgive if she underwent a serious trial of penance.

Agravain: Despite the fact that they absolutely cannot get along, there nevertheless exists a begrudging sense of respect between them.

Lancelot: Struggles to forgive him for the war. Does everything he can to avoid him if possible.

Nero: Sympathises with her over having an evil mother.

    Lore:
Born as the child of King Urien and Morgan le Fay, Ywain had been raised as a spoiled prince under the expectation that he'd be the future King as Morgan had tempted Urien into opposing Artoria's attempts to unify Britain and become its king. But fate changed when a chance meeting between Ywain and Artoria caused the young pair to befriend each other and upon seeing this, Urien relented in his quest to conquer and unify Britain, much to Morgan's fury. Soon after Urien falls sick and it seems he won't recover, Ywain goes to Merlin for some medicine but when he returns to his home he sees his mother with a wicked smile going into the parent's bedchambers first. With the door only open by a crack, Ywain peered through and saw to his horror that his own mother had been behind the sickness as she was slowly poisoning Urien. His father had died that night and Morgan had left without saying anything to her son. After burying his father, Ywain burnt down the house and departed - swearing he'd stop his mother's evil schemes.

Years passed by and Artoria became King Arthur whilst Ywain wandered the land as an errant knight, preforming many a good deed but never taking off his helmet to reveal his identity even when being offered a place on the newly established Round Table, he simply turned the offer down. But everything changed when a member of said Round Table, Sir Calogrenant was killed whilst travelling through the enchanted forest of Brocéliande, with the only witness claiming that the perpetrator was a Red Knight accompanied by a woman who resembled Morgan. Ywain reveals himself to the King Arthur and vows to track down the culprit as his mother is his responsibility. He travels deep into the forest and at the centre finds an otherworldly fountain and as he stops to drink from it, he narrowly dodges an attack from behind from the Red Knight. Out of nowhere a storm appears and the two knights are locked in a fierce duel to the death which Ywain barely survives. It was then that mysterious storm died down and the "witness" appeared and revealed herself to be Laudine, the wife of the Red Knight Esclados who had encountered Morgan who turned him into a mindless guardian of the magic fountain where the witch often worked. Laudine begged Ywain to destroy the fountain and take her somewhere far away and he complied taking her back to his home where they started to fall in love.

One day Gawain dropped by and begged Ywain to take over the Round Table seat of the deceased Sir Calogrenant. Laudine protested but Ywain convinced her to let him leave when he stated that he would only take the seat as an interim and would return to Laudine at the end of the year. Laudine then gave him an enchanted ring that would protect him from harm. Ywain then served under King Arthur for the year, though he often shirked his duties to go partying. Towards the end of the year, Ywain caught wind of an assassin trying to take the King's head. Using his raven familiars, Ywain cast a wide net of reconnaissance and managed to track down the assassin advancing upon the castle. The pair engage in a duel but Ywain's experience and might prove superior over the young assassin whose helmet is knocked off and Ywain recognises him as Agravain - brother of Gawain. Agravain admits defeat and explains that he was raised from birth by his mother Morgan Le Fay to be the one to take Arthur's head. Ywain pities him and prepares to strike him down when Arthur emerges from the shadows telling him to halt, having heard everything. Arthur offers Agravain a chance to repent and turn his life around by becoming a Knight of the King and Agravain swears eternal loyalty to the one who spared him. Arthur then points out that doesn't Ywain have to be somewhere right about now, and Ywain realises that he had completely forgot about his promise to Laudine and that it was New Year's Eve. He declares that Agravain can have his seat at the Round Table as he races off to make it back home in time. But alas, morning broke and he was unable to make it back home within the time limit and so Laudine refused to see him or let him enter their home. Heartbroken, Ywain wanders the land wondering what to do - he decides to return to his roots as an errant knight, preforming many a great deed as he journeys, saving a lion from a dragon and together slaying it, defeating a humongous giant, stopping a trio of knights aiming to overthrow the Round Table and even saving a woman falsely accused of being a witch from the stake. Feeling partly responsible, Gawain goes to Laudine and tells her of all the good deeds Ywain has done in penance and she finally accepts him back and they marry at last.

Years pass and Lancelot's affair with Guinevere is exposed which forces Arthur to have to give her a public death sentence with Gareth and Gaheris as the Enforcers. Lancelot gate crashes the execution and slays the siblings who try to stop him from reaching Guinevere. He takes the Queen to a secret location and attempts to act as a decoy by fleeing to France but before he can reach the boat, he encounters a abnormally large lion sitting in the middle of the road. Ywain emerges out of the shade and muses that he too would do anything for the woman he loves..."But those two kids were my family too, and for that I can't let you pass without giving up your head!" And so Lancelot had no choice but to fight the Knight and his lion. It was a fierce battle, Lancelot could not advance due to the combination of man and beast pinning him down and so he steeled his heart to take another life of the innocent and unleashed Arondight's full power - the lion was vaporised instantly and Ywain was sent flying back. Lancelot advanced towards his objective, but as he passed by the crater where Ywain landed he was shocked as he heard a voice emerge from the bottom. Lancelot peered in and saw that despite his amour being disintegrated, Ywain only suffered light burns and a shattered ring lay upon his chest. Ywain whispered some parting words to Lancelot as he left before falling deep into a coma.

When Ywain awoke several months later, Britain was a very different place. Camelot had fallen, the True King and the Usurper King had both died in battle leaving the Kingdom in splinters. His home now lay in a territory called Rheged and it was locked in a bitter rivalry with a rival territory called Bernicia, the people of Rheged upon hearing of Ywain's awakening decided to elect him as their new King thanks to his blood relation to Arthur as well as his military knowledge. Ywain reluctantly accepted this new role and decided to face this brave new world so that the tragedy of Camelot not be repeated.

    Creator's Notes:
Since I'm on a bit of a Knight spree at the moment, got several of them in the works so I hope I don't run out of faceclaims (lol). I used Cid Randell as the FC this time as I thought he really nailed that "flaky older brother" feeling I was going for with Ywain. I also made him a parallel against Mordred since they shared the same mother so I included the line about him not taking off his helmet as well as him reluctantly becoming the king that Mordred wanted to be. Anyone who can guess where the name "Bester" came from gets a cookie. The Noble Phantasm's name itself was a reference to "The Cat Returns" (the favour) the Studio Ghibli film which I really like.

TM's whole deal of fusing Morgan with Morgause can be a bit of a pain sometimes when making KoRT sheets such as in this case having to explain the complicated web of how Ywain, the Orkney siblings and Mordred are all related now. It does make me curious as to how they'll implement him in the future - presumably during the upcoming Arthurian Lostbelt.

As an aside, I really struggled what to put as his Origin/Attribute as he's a real person but his story as a Knight of the Round Table is completely fictional as he was crammed into the legends due to existing around the same time.

As usual, all comments and criticisms are welcome.

Huh, that's the first time I see a sheet differentiate heroes with mythological origins or not, that's really neat. It gives me quite an idea for a cool conflict.

On the sheet, I quite like Bester. But did he not have anything NP worthy besides the beast? Granted, I don't really familiar with him, but he is a KoTR and a Rider, I say go wild with the NPs.

Ywain: Cool sheet. The carefree and easygoing personality really works for him, and I love the "combo attack" part of his NP. Ring Of The Red Knight seems somewhat overpowered for a Personal Skill though. I get that three Skills is a nice round number, but absolute invulnerability to attacks below A-rank sounds closer to the level of a Noble Phantasm than a Skill IMO.

Also not super fitting to the legend (as I know it) since while Laudine's ring did bestow protection on Ywain I can't recall any mention that it made him nearly invulnerable. You'd expect that would kind of go against the whole chivalry thing, actually. Personally, I would change the effect to something weaker but still versatile, like boosting Ywain's Luck parameter while in combat and giving a bonus to saving throws. The imagery of the gem shattering to protect against a greater attack is cool, so you can keep that, but maybe have it so it can only be used to negate a single attack (regardless of rank) and then would shatter immediately. That'd be more balanced IMO.

Eh, Not really. He's one of the less well known Knights whose only really notable for his lion companion and being the son of Morgan Le Fay. At the very least, my brain couldn't think of anything other than "giant lion!" which I think is cool don't @ me...

Fair play, I had mistakenly misremembered "Armor of Fafnir" as a Skill rather than the Noble Phantasm it actually is, which was part of the inspiration.

its ok you don't need to get it :v

well, I was thinking if Lancelot can get: grab a tree > I can have anything into a weapon or transform into other people; maybe he has feats that you can stretch on into a gimmick NP just like him too. And the whole KoTR is A Rank Servant thing, but you do you man.

He was a KoTR. Many of them are quite busted, or at least top class Servants, so this is in keeping. Also, it's not nearly as OP as Kavacha and Kundala or Armor of Fafnir.

Again though, those are NPs, not Skills. This is a fairly minor quibble so I won't keep pushing it, but I stand by my opinion nonetheless.

Oh, I was in agreement with you that it should be changed to an NP. Sorry.

In any case, having finally gotten around to finishing Ywain (that took like six months to complete), another KoRT is done.

Now I move down the list to the next KoRT sheet I have in the works, whilst I patiently wait for F/GO to return to Camelot...
