Most of that's situational, though, but yeah.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.

Is that rhetorical or a serious question? As for Idylls, I wouldn't consider a Victorian remake of Le Morte d'Arthur part of Arthurian myth, at least not anymore so than the Guy Ritchie film last year. Especially given how much Tennyson butchered the setting. Lastly, I apologise for using the word "title" as that seems to have caused some confusion - perhaps Epithet would have been better? Anyways, the point was that it's not a surname nor a royal title that is inherited - just a nickname that Uther earned as he led soldiers into battle in Roman Britain.
But, I'll reiterate my original post in this discussion: "It's not really a huge deal to me, just something I noticed."

For me, the problem is with Nasuverse Nobu, not real Nobu.
Also, I only used the xxxSatanxxx example to show an insufferable internet edgelord who's trying to be all chuuni and dark, which is kind of what Fate Nobu is doing here.

The real Oda Nobunaga was within his rights to do so, especially since we have no conclusive proof Mara in fact exists IRL, but Fate Nobu IMO is not, and she's also annoying in her insistence to the contrary.
I dunno man, I find that charming in a way.
Certainly a breath of fresh air from Sengoku Basara and the like which play the "Demon King" aspect completely straight to the point where it's tired.

I mean if that's the issue I don't think Fate Nobu knew that Mara can activate.

I agree the straight Demon King aspect is also extremely tiresome, and frankly, I like portrayals that eschew it entirely or don't make him a demon lord of some sort, instead focusing on the historical tyrant and his moral ambiguity.
The comparison isn't apt, on account of Nobu actually having deeds and history to her name vs. a modern internet rando w/less impact and lasting power on history.

Also, I would have been more fine if Fate Nobu claimed she was the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven, but did so self-consciously and acknowledged it was just a title/for show, as opposed to honestly believing it.

True, but Nobu believes it a little too hard in Fate.
With a /Grand Order, she believes her Fate can /stay the /night, a very /EXTRA CCC attitude to have, but a very /strange and /fake, almost /Apocryphal one to take -- one that has the potential to be her /Zero and /Requeim, an utterly fitting /Last Encore that /hollowly suits the/tiger colosseum of her twilight.
Fuck /Proto and /Kaleid Liner, they ain't getting into this joke.

Both historical and Fate Nobunaga were either mocked or ironically feared for their accumulated ridiculous titles in the first place so I really don’t see a difference even if the supposed real thing really were to show up.
