Once even he heard of wonderful shrimp that was fished off the North African shores of Libya and sought it out for himself, but after tasting the shrimp once, he become immediately disillusioned and hailed for his ship's captain to sail them back to Italy without once shoring. With just the most half-hearted of bites, Ruler can judge the worth of anything. He can also discern a meal's ingredients through smell alone.

This skill applies to more than just food. By licking the blade of a sword, Ruler can accurately determine its weight, its material, the era it was made, and it even its region of origin. If the blade is a Noble Phantasm, he will instantly uncover its rank and true name. And, it goes without saying but, if Ruler tastes a Servant, he will automatically know their True Name, skills and any Noble Phantasms they possess, just as he would with True Name Discernment.

This Skill is the privilege of Ruler as one who presides over the Holy Grail War, which would normally grant him two Command Seals for each participating Servant. Ruler, only obtains one per Servant, but when the Servant he is commanding is inside of his territory each of his commands becomes equivalent to two Command Seals when used.

>Projection Magecraft (Gourmet): [B+++]
A Skill that stems from Ruler's vessel rather than himself. It is a method of magecraft called "Gradient Air," but more specialized. It seems that the boy Ruler has possessed has a unique attribute to him; one that makes his existence closer to that of a sword's. In a sense this makes his body the perfect forge. The skill gives Ruler the ability to project whatever arms he chooses. Though, the resulting projection is always a hollow replica. As a means to accommodate this, Ruler has managed to reconfigured the skill to better fit his skill set.

It has been modified to such a degree that it no longer works as originally intended. Ruler cannot project 'weapons' in the traditional sense, as he claims that he "has no use for such things". He can only project things related to the world of gourmet: knives, pots, pans, spatulas, eating utensils. Though, this restriction comes with the bonus that all of his cooking utensils are of the most pristine quality.

A sublimation of Ruler's zealotry when it comes to tracking down extravagant and exotic foods. Whenever Ruler discovers a new ingredient or amazing dish he has never heard of, he becomes obsessed with trying it out himself and making it a part of his culinary repertoire. From then on, he becomes akin to a train set on a destination and will focus on nothing else. Anything that infringes of this quest of his is seen an obstacle he must run through.

When seeking out a new food that has caught Ruler's attention, he gains the skills Bravery, Eye of Mind (False), and Mad Enhancement all of one rank lower than Gourmand of Steel.

>Medicinal Cuisine: [C]
Contrary to common belief, Ruler is not the sole author of De Re Coquinaria. How much of its content is his, and how much it belongs to later cooks is forever up to debate. Enough are his for him to gain access to recipes of the antique cookbook that delve into treating food related ailments, however.

In less than ten turns, Ruler can produce an easily digestible snack that heals minor injuries. Within thirty, he can also treat more serious ones. In within seventy, even wounds that are the result of curses and other malevolent magic can be exorcised.

>Territory Creation: [B+]
This Skill represents the ability to create a territory advantageous to oneself as a magus. The workshops of common magi are also included in as territories, but at rank A, it is possible to create a temple class territory exceeding that of a workshop. Ruler cannot produce a 'traditional' workshop. Rather, he creates a kitchen. This is the chef's workshop - the true church. A domain (in Ruler's opinion) more sacred than any monastery. Also, while inside of of his Kitchen, Ruler's Projection Magecraft (Gourmet), Gourmand of Steel, and Medicinal Cuisine skills all increase by one rank.

The Reality Marble of Shirou Emiya influenced by the venerable gourmand of antiquity, Marcus Gavius Apicius. Inside of what was previously a wasteland of swords now exists a physical manifestation of the enitre contents of De Re Coquinaria, better known as Apicius.

While Apicius himself wrote barely 3/5 of the cookbook, it as a whole being ascribed to his creation, has not only given him access to all of its recipes, it has influenced Shirou Emiya's Reality Marble to the extent that his inner world is literally a world of food. Fresh orchards that regrow their fruit the moment they are plucked, endless rivers full of both fresh and saltwater fish, swine and cows forever grazing until they beckoned. It is a manifestation of everything Apicius ever wanted in life: a place where he can eat every extravagant food he dreamed of and cook to his whim.

Saber --Gluttonous Defender of the Kitchen--
[Anti-Unit] A(Range: 1-10 Target: 1 Person)
A cutlery blade that was projected in the kitchen inside Apicius' Reality Marble. It is the only blade Apicius is capable of projecting that could be considered a Noble Phantasm. And it is another thing born primarily from his vessel's history rather than his own. Too big for a kitchen knife, Apicius dubbed the knife 'Saber' instead.

Only capable of being manifesting while inside Apicius' kitchen, it takes the form a tiny humanoid, smaller even than a child, but surprisingly powerful. Likely modeled after what Apicius believes to the be the guardian of whatever place his vessel formerly honed his own culinary craft in, it continues to perform its duties here. It possesses impressive parameters and is capable of fighting average Servant on relatively even footing so long as they do not use their Noble Phantasms. However, do not be confused by miniature the weapon it wields in combat - it is most certainly not a Holy Sword. It's still rather sharp though, and the Saber is capable of creating a potent destructive force by calling out the false sword's name (Glutcalibur) and detonating it like a Broken Phantasm. It will not be able to produce the sword again until it recovers mana via a healthy and hardy meal.

After every battle, this blade must be nourished to a rather insane degree considering its size. It eats as much as a grown men on average, and a bonus two when it has to recover its Glutcalibur. Keeping it well fed is a harsh labor in and of itself...

Also, take note that while inside of Apicius' Reality Marble, the Saber will become human sized, her Glutcalibur will become equivalent to an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm, and it will be able to recover up to three times after being used as Broken Phantasm without her having to eat.

Lore

Ruler's True Name is Marcus Gavius Apicius, a Roman epicur of antiquity, known for his extravagant tastes as well as being the original author of one of the oldest cookbooks in recorded history. He spared no expense throughout his life on his passion for food, for he believe that life was a waste if one could not indulge in the venerable tastes it had to offer. The vast majority of his money went into his kitchen and the foods he amassed throughout his time. He even risked a large sum still trying to outbid someone for some red mullet that Emperor Tiberius had put up for auction. He was also a much favored figure in the higher echelons of Rome. His obsession with quality foods and collecting recipes from across the empire led to him being made into a imperial host who held dinners for foreign dignitaries. He was a model gourmand, described by Tertullian as "the Patron Saint of Cooks". And while he will never be canonized, like many actual saints that were, Apicius' life concluded with tragedy.

Apicius' daughter Apicata was divorced by her husband Sejanus for Livilla, a woman of higher rank whom he had been having an affair with, and also he had co-conspired with to assassinate her late husband and Emperor Tiberius' son, Drusus. When Apicata discovered the truth of Drusus' death she delivered the news to the emperor in a letter. Tiberius quickly and violently lashed out at the revelation, having both Sejanus and Livilla executed, as well Apicata and Sejanus' children, so that the traitor he would have no heirs. While this sent Apicata in a permanent state of distraught, what caused Apicius' infamous suicide would have little to do with any of this chaos.

Rather, when he learned that his poor management of his funds would eventually lead to him dying impoverished and incapable of enjoying his high-quality cuisine, he chose to poison himself after one last meal.

There is one problem with Ruler manifesting as cook - he is not one.

In Roman society, cooks were slaves and former slaves. In order to be conjured, Apicius required the proper vessel with whom he was incompatible. Unfortunately, the boy he ended up with was compatible in all but philosophy when it came to gourmet. As a fan of foods of excessive quality, Apicius constantly finds himself at odds with his vessel. It has gotten to the point where can cannot even throw commoners food away with his body seizing up, and some voice screaming "Why are you throwing perfectly good food away, you idiot!"

To Apicius' dismay, this has led to his opinion on cooking changing, and him finding a low-class meal... acceptable... Apicius fears that, at this rate, he may wind up cooking red mullet without first bathing it a wine made from red mullet.

It can also decrease due one's dislike for the gods. It also has an effect which reduces special defensive values called "purge defense" in proportion to the Divinity's Rank. It can break through Skills such as Protection of the Faith and Enlightenment of the Sacred Fig. due to her representing being on all halts male female, future, past etc humans began to perceive her as a sort of a demigod and she a fully accepted that idea and has gained a high rank in this skill.

Excalibur Artorious: to my king, the sword of promised victory (anti-unit: A):
the crystalization of the legend when Saber presented the holy sword Excalibur to the king of knights.
saber is invoked with her own Excalibur, however the true power of the sword is severely limited.
to activate this Noble phantasm, Saber chooses a person to recive the sword, doing this turns then into a "wielder of the holy sword", and in exchange, all of sabers stats and her mana burst(water) recive a rank down.
even a human, if affected by this Noble phantasm, becomes strong enough to fight on the level of a servant of the three knight classes. They gain the skills "Magic resistence(C)", "Mana burst(B)" and "Protection of the fairies(A)", but most important, they gain access to the noble phantasm "Excalibur: sword of promised victory". all costs for the use of this skills comes from the target himself.

Excalibur Nimueh: fair wanton maiden, sword of ultimate victory (anti-Evil: EX):
Sabers most powerful attack, the ultimate trump card that end's all battles by reveling Excalibur's true nature as a tool to save the world.
Saber can only use this noble phantasm once "Excalibur Artorious" is alredy in effect. by calling its name, the "wielder of the holy sword" returns the blade to saber, since this act signifies the blade "end of the battle", Saber can release a last attack that cannot be blocked, resisted, evaded or survived.
once this is used, all effects of "Excalibur Artorious" are lost, and both noble phantasms are sealed permanently.

Lore: Saber's true name is Vivianne, or rather, one of the two souls that made up the being know as Vivianne.
Throughout the matter of britain, Vivianne (sometimes called Nimueh or Niniann) is one of the most important characters. however, this accouts of her true personality vary drasticly from one story to another. this is because Vivianne, being a Elemental born from the world, had two personalities.
Saber is the soul who came to be know a the "Lady of the lake", the one who presents Arthur with the holy sword Excalibur and who eventualy recives the sword back.

personality: Saber is very gracious by nature. when around her allies, she exhales an air of tranquility that made can calm even the most harden warriors. this is not say that she is innofensive, as her enemies will meet a woman that rages like a flood.

Riding: A++
A Skill denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding. Rider is able to ride almost every beast and every vehicle. While still incapable of ‘riding’ Dragon-kind, she is capable of ‘steering’ them if they consent.

Magic Resistance: D++
A Skill that grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. This Rank cancels Single-Action spells; Magic Resistance of the same degree of an amulet that rejects magical energy. However, through the use of certain drugs and potions, Rider can temporarily increase her proficiency with this skill so that it can cancel spells with a chant below two verses and resist magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals.

Personal Skills:
High-Speed Divine Words: B
A Skill that assists with magical incantations via a power to activate Thaumaturgy without the use of Magic Circuits. The language of the Age of Gods, back when words played a heavy role in spellcasting. As such, it is a power long lost by modern magi. It is particularly useful for direct attack magic. At this Rank, High-Thaumaturgy can be cast at the speed of Single-Action spells. Her aptitude at this Skill has been reduced due to her being summoned as a Rider, in truth she has an A-Rank ability.

Item Construction: B+
The Skill to manufacture magical items, from implements of war to items for daily use. Also, this Skill requires time to gather components and manufacture items. Rider mostly uses this Skill to create poisons but she is capable of creating many potions and medicines - under the right circumstances, she can even create a concoction capable of granting limited immortality. Her original Rank in this Skill was A, however it has been reduced due to being summoned as a Rider.

Poison Resistance: A--
Rider, an excellent treatment magus, naturally invalidates all poisons, making her poisonproof. At the same time she is healing someone of poison, she is also able to restore their physical strength. However, her personality is no longer suited towards such supportive acts and, as such, the Skill has been reduced in effectiveness; she can simply no longer find it within herself to be that girl, who loved and cared for everyone, anymore.

Divinity: C+

Noble Phantasms

Elios Drakones Arma, Dragon-Chariot of the Sun God: A++ (Escape)
A golden chariot, glowing with the light of the sun, gifted to Medea by her grandfather, Helios, in order to make her escape from Corinth following her act of vengeance against Jason there. Capable of flight and driven by two lesser dragons with a significant divine aspect to them, Elios Drakones Arma has quite a bit of combat potential despite being imbued with the concept of ‘escape’. Elios Drakones Arma could arguably be called a Noble Phantasm that belongs to Helios which is merely being loaned to Medea out of affection, rather than something that actually belongs to her. Other than indestructibility and flight, the power of the actual chariot is that of containing - and releasing - the light of Helios, which makes it both hard for others to look at and slowly regenerates Medea’s supply of magical energy while she rides it. The drakones pulling the chariot are both high middle-rank Phantasmal Beasts of Dragon-kind who obey Medea’s commands because their true master, Helios, told them to do so - while not invincible, the presence of the two drakones makes Medea summoned under the Rider class an actual contender in most Grail Wars.

Elios Drakones Arma’s true power lies not in combat, but in the very concept that imbues it when used as Medea’s Noble Phantasm; escape. As Medea lacks true ownership of the Dragon-Chariot of the Sun God as well as not having the skill or knowledge to summon dragons, in order to call upon the Noble Phantasm Medea needs to recite a prayer to Helios that equates to a 12-line aria and expend a considerable amount of magical energy to make sure that the prayer is actually heard. If those requirements are fulfilled then Elios Drakones Arma will rocket down from the heavens and stop in front of Medea - an event which is at least theoretically capable of being used as an attack if the enemy were to not dodge the very noticeable Noble Phantasm for some reason. However, if Medea is in a life-and-death situation where she is in true danger of death Elios Drakones Arma will materialize automatically around her and let her spirit herself away for a quick exit. This secondary ‘Deus ex Machina’ effect of the Noble Phantasm has a very steep mana cost, but doesn’t apply it until Medea is safely away from her enemies. It has a ‘recharge rate’ of roughly seven days, however the fact that most Holy Grail Wars usually last less than a week means that it is a one-time event in most cases of her summoning as a Rider.

Argon Coin, the Golden Fleece: D (Anti-Unit)
A coat of golden wool, shorn from the winged ram Chrysomallos and given to King Aeëtes of Colchis by Phrixus as a token of his gratitude. It was retrieved by Jason to defeat King Aeëtes with much assistance from Medea, who had been enchanted by the goddess Aphrodite to love Jason. It is very valuable as the hidden treasure of Colchis, and while there is nothing special about the fleece itself, there is an anecdote that a dragon will appear if it is thrown on the ground. The exact reason isn't known, but it seems people have mixed up the Golden Fleece with the dragon that used to guard it, making the story feel like some kind of satire.

Medea doesn’t possess the knowledge or skill to use it to summon a Phantasmal Beast, but unlike when she is summoned as a Caster, as a Rider she is capable of making some use of it. The Golden Fleece itself possesses healing properties which allows someone who is in contact with it to passively heal wounds and diseases. The most practical usage of this ability would be to wrap it around oneself or drape it over their shoulders, but Medea personally prefers to hug it tightly to her chest - not that she would ever reveal this information to anybody.

Lore/Personality

Pretty sure we all know Medea’s lore in the Nasuverse at this point, so I won’t bother including it here. I will go into her Personality a bit in here, though.

When summoned as a Rider it is the ‘granddaughter of Helios’ aspect of Medea that is emphasized over her ‘witch of betrayal’ aspect, as opposed to her Caster incarnation where it is simply dropped. While this ultimately doesn’t have a huge effect on her Skills (apart from giving her Divinity and Poison Resistance like her younger form) it does have a noticeable effect on her personality. If Caster Medea could be considered ‘Medea, the bitter old witch who despises the world for its treatment of her’ then Rider Medea could be considered ‘Medea, the furious young woman who seeks vengeance on the world that wronged her’. Perhaps this is due to her ‘granddaughter of Helios’ aspect being so closely tied to her escape from Corinth? In practice the effect that this has on Medea is making her more passionate, although she could not be considered hot blooded by any means.

Her rage and hatred are more ‘hot’ than in her Caster incarnation and she is more willing to engage in dangerous, dramatic acts with a high risk-reward ratio. She is more likely to perceive actions as being slights or betrayals and is quicker to act on her desires for retribution. Conversely, she is also more susceptible to acts of affection and genuine altruism or selflessness, although she is just as wary and skeptical of them and the “heroes” that often perform them as her 'other self' - perhaps even moreso. While just as capable of ‘girly behaviour’ such as squeeing over the idea of being able to dress cute girls up in cute clothing, as a Rider she generally has a more rough and domineering personality - this especially shows around those that she genuinely cares about with her bossily telling them to let her plot out the most ‘risk free path to winning the Grail War’ so that she doesn’t risk them dying - and, by extension, her losing them. If she were to fall in love with someone, she could be considered something of an ‘affectionate dominatrix’ at times.

The Saberface thing was a joke. For me, it was the NP’s as they seemed to clash a bit in nature. In my books she should either be a non-combatant Saber or focus on how possessing Excalibur gives her the strength to fight as ya seemed to almost go in both directions.

Just my point of view though.

In 1308, Caster began writing the book Divina Commedia, a view of his personal belief on what Heaven, Hell, and everything in between is like. From Hell's nine rings of torment and Heaven’s nine spheres of joy, this book stands as arguably the greatest novel ever written in Italian and one of the greatest in the entire world.

Formatted in 94 cantos, the book contains countless detailed descriptions of all three planes. From rivers of boiling blood to the celestial bodies, it is all forever imprinted in the minds of its readers, and in the author himself.

By reciting one of the cantos, he can pull the creatures, from demons to angels, into the physical plane to assist him. And if he is allowed to recite an entire act of Divina Commedia, he can impart that entire dimension as powerful conceptual weapons.

Act 1: Inferno
Inferno is, for lack of a better word, a place only equivalent to Hell. Any who’s soul Caster deems “Evil”, completely negating the alignment system and judging purely by whether they fall under one of the seven sins. Is normally a Reality Marble, but it has been altered into weaponized judgement.

When manifested, the nine rings will appear in a backwards drill like shape, each ring representing one of the seven sins that Caster can effortlessly control. As you step through the gradually smaller and smaller rings, those who let their hearts be consumed by Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Wrath, Heresy, Violence, Fraud, or Treachery shall be punished by their own vices. Those who committed violence against their neighbors must be forced to stew in boiling blood for the rest of time, those who were greedy must push large bags of their own money up a neverending hill without rest, and so on. Those who used foresight must walk in circles with their heads turned completely around, as they attempted to see ahead of what they should, they are now forced to go forward while looking behind them. They aren’t truly “punishments” by Hell, they are what they brought upon themselves. If Caster wills it, he can use Vergil to allow them safe passage through his tests.

Act 2: Purgatorio
Purgatorio is Caster’s central workshop, using the souls trapped inside as his minions to produce magical items and regents to aid him. It differs from being a weapon to a territory, by reciting the cantos over a pre-established workshop, it warps the reality and space to create a seemingly infinite plane of gray stone and an equally infinitely tall mountain, reaching Heaven itself. There are countless amounts of souls inside, mining away at stones and at their workstations, creating hundreds of weapons, alchemical masterpieces, to simple furniture or growing tea leaves. It is extremely efficient, even high tier magical hexes or spells that Caster does not know can be “manufactured” here.

Act 3: Paradiso
Possibly the strongest of the three acts of his Noble Phantasm, Paradiso is not only a Reality Marble, but seven separate planes of existence all linked together, requiring a guide to navigate between them. Those who passed Inferno’s test can enter Paradiso at any time with Dante’s consent.

Those who showed Temperance, Faith, and any other of the seven virtues will find a holy place, catering to every whim or desire they posses. But, despite being fully capable of letting those who enter commit any sin they want, anyone inside Paradiso will feel a strong compulsion to reign in their sinful desires and rest in peaceful bliss. Truly a Heaven on Earth.

Caster is Dante Alighieri, one of Italy’s most celebrated people and one of the greatest author’s in the entire world, the author of Divina Commedia, a story about himself traveling through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven.

Born sometime in May or June 1265 in Florence into the Guelphs, a political order dedicated to the papacy, he lived a fairly boring life. He was a minor politician and had a childhood crush that never went away, but his life was really nothing truly impressive.

Save his masterpiece, Divina Commedia, or as it’s more commonly known as Dante’s Inferno, a book involving himself being through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven by the poet Vergil and his childhood sweetheart, Beatrice Portinari. The lush storytelling and vivid descriptions of the three planes, being written in the common language Tuscan instead of the noble language, Latin letting it be accessed by nearly anyone in Florence, and the books massive popularity have lead to Caster being regarded as one of Italy’s most important historical figures and the reason Italian is the official language of Italy.

The book is extremely long, taking up three separate parts of thirty three cantos each, save Inferno having one extra canto. From the lowest bowel of Hell to the highest point of Heaven, the book covers it all. Caster used the book as an opportunity to deliver some commentary on both philosophers he liked and his enemies, placing them where he deemed appropriate, even going as far as saying that he would be in Limbo and not in Heaven, an impressive display of humility.

Towards the end of Purgatory and nearing Heaven, Vergil revealed that since he belonged in Limbo, he could not enter Heaven, and when Dante reached the top of the mountain, he discovered Eden and a woman named Matilda who brought him to the object of his one sided affection, Beatrice who had died several years prior to the story's setting. With her help, Dante not only traversed Heaven, but witnessed God himself.

The book was finished only a year before his death at 56 years old. In his home country, he is revered as one of the greatest poets of all time and as one of Italy’s most important historical figures.

Personality

Caster can be best described as a hopeless romantic who knows he’s hopeless. He could probably write a bestselling tragic romance or love story, but he’s not really a fan of mushy stuff that doesn’t involve him.

He loves inserting himself into stories, imagining what he would do in these crazy situations from beyond his imagination. Perhaps he would be a powerful warlock in the land of the Hobbit, a fearsome swordsman in the world of Dungeons & Dragons, or a priest, or a sniper, who knows? He sure as hell doesn’t, but that’s what makes it fun.

He absolutely loves reading books, of all kinds and in any language imaginable. This can lead him into risky situations where he reads a book he’s not supposed to, either for moral or supernatural reasons, but he’ll figure it out or Vergil will drag him out by his claws.
