Eh. Flag burning is legit freedom of speech. Destruction of the statue is more concerning, particularly if it was a work of art or an antiquity rather than just a fab item.
I'd say no, it doesn't. There are exceptions to be sure, like protecting a facility that manufactures insulin or preserving a unique or culturally important structure or one's personal livelihood, but this probably doesn't qualify. That said, I don't know the details of the specific statue.

I'm not sure when this rebellious madness will go away, though. Frankly, this culture of victim glorification makes me sick. George Floyd may be a victim, but he is certainly no hero. George Washington is a hero, but he doesn't need to be a saint. Though, this may be obvious coming from the me, who calls Cao Cao brother Mengde and Nobunaga Oda Nobunobu (though, I'm sure that we all do).
I'm not entirely sure what you mean to say by that, but surely someone doesn't have to be a "hero" (I don't recall anyone even saying that Floyd was, or a saint for that matter) for one to grieve their death and fight for justice on their behalf. And of course, being a "hero" especially in the Classical sense is no guarantee of actually being a good person (a la the whole "would you rather be great or good" dilemma).
But that's just it. I would rather glorify heroes, knowing full well what that means. Also, I'm pretty sure that burying someone in a golden coffin after parading around their remains counts more as glorification than grieving. As for calling George Floyd a hero, some TV news said so.
Cult of "hero worship" when it means ignoring the value of the weak can blur pretty close to outright fascism though (the government should favor the strong to crush the weak for their own gain). Not sure what your personal beliefs are, but I think you should be careful on the kind of rhetoric you end up espousing. I actually agree that the word "hero" is often misused, but either way Floyd's death was a terrible injustice that demands serious response. You can't brush off something like that with lofty-sounding rhetoric about "heroes".
Didn't Iskander say something along the lines that heroes should appear like "shining stars" for the people to reach for, rather than martyrs whose only value is the pity that they garner? A Throne built on hegemony is a beautiful sight, while a throne built on martyrdom is an abomination.
"Brushing it off" was never my intent. However, if your wallet gets stolen, you're a victim, not a hero, regardless of what punishment does or does not fall on the perp.

A man was murdered in cold blood by the police that are supposed to protect and serve us, and people are using this moment as a call to arms to address a very real sickness in American culture.
