Servant: Echidna, The Mother of Monsters
    Class:
    Berserker
    Gender:
    Female
    Alignment:
    Chaotic Neutral
    Stats:

    Strength - A+
    Endurance - B
    Agility - D
    Mana - D
    Luck - D
    Noble Phantasm - A

    Class Skills:

    Mad Enhancement - E
Echidna was content to while away her time in her lair beneath the Earth, gobbling up those foolish enough to trespass, and making love to the storm-giant Typhon, who fathered her brood of ravenous children. It was rare that she truly raged, but she has one all-consuming breed of hatred reserved for the gods and men that slew her many monstrous spawn. When one of her children should be slain, Echidna will instinctively know and fly into a vengeful rage that imbues her with the power of Mad Enhancement, boosting her STR, END and AGI stats by one rank if she fails a Luck Check. Once Mad Enhancement activates, it may only be canceled by the bloody vengeance of her child or a Command Seal.

    Personal Skills:

    Godly Constitution - A
An immortal inasmuch as she does not age or grow sick, though Hera's servant Argus Panoptes slew her in her sleep for fear of challenging her awake and alert. However, Argus was no mere man. He was a giant who dutifully served Hera and held such power that Zeus entrusted the task of killing him to no less than a fellow Olympian, Hermes, who ironically killed Argus in his sleep as well. All of which is to say only those possessing a degree of Divinity may truly harm her, and even those divine-blooded would do well to tread carefully.

    Divinity - A+ (Effectively C)
As the daughter of sea-gods Phorcys and Ceto (who spawned a number of their monstrous children), Echida is a full-blooded divine being. However, with the decision to make the odious Typhon her lifelong mate, she lost the favor of the gods and her status as a true Divine Spirit.

    Monstrous Strength - EX
While normally a temporary boost to the STR stat that runs the risk of harming the user, Echidna has achieved a level of this skill that makes it a part of her very bering. She embraces her repellant nature and enjoys a permanent boost to power even as she slips further and further into corruption with an increasingly profane body that will produce only greater horrors.

Daughter of Stagnant Waters - A
Just as her parents embodied the horrors of the ocean deep, Echidna is the embodiment of the sea's rot and decay: Stagnant waters, sea scum and noxious bogs. True to this providence, Echidna fouls any body of water that she touches and may manipulate it as a master magus with a water affinity might. However, Echidna has little interest in this talent and even less patience to use it. More often than not, she simply spews tainted waters from her body in an effort to poison a victim into helplessness.

    A Mother Knows - C
Given the sheer number of monsters she spawned and how many heroes battled them, Echidna has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the people who killed her children after obsessively querying the Throne's records. She could identify someone like Heracles or Bellerophon at a glance and stands a reasonable chance of deducing the identity of someone like an Argonaut simply because they sailed in Heracles's company for the first leg of their journey. This Skill useless against those outside of the Greek mythological sphere or those few Greek do-gooders who cannot be traced to someone like Heracles or Theseus.

    Noble Phantasm:

    Mother Most Foul
    Dracaena Delphyne
    (English: Serpent Womb)

    Anti-Army
    Rank A

The Chimera. The Hydra. The Sphinx. Cerberus. Orthos. The Nemean Lion. Scylla. Ladon. The Dragon of Colchis.

    All awful. All hers.

Echidna's womb is both bountiful and wretched. When the hateful Typhon challenged Zeus for the right to rule the world as the lord of storms, he was sealed deep beneath a desolate patch of Earth, never to see the sky again. And it was with this wretched thing that Echidna chose to spend her life, bearing him a litany of the calamities.

The simple fact that she has died has not left Echidna barren. On the contrary, she retains her capacity for birthing horrors even in the absence of a suitable mate. Given that she cannot interbreed but with a very select sort of godly or demonic mate, Echidna as a Servant must now resort to a sort of budding process in order to unleash her progeny on the world. They will now take after their sole parent and exclusively appear serpentine like her dragons or the Hydra rather than canine like Cerberus and Orthos. Given that the blood of Echidna flows through their veins and they are in a sense genetic copies of their mother, each monster-child will enjoy the same degree of mystery and fame as their mother, making the distinction between her first wave of children and the new ones mostly academic.

Her connection to her child-clones is so strong that she will instinctively know when one of them has been struck down. Even if she remains in control of herself, she will be able to trace her progeny's murderer by the smell of their blood, albeit in the sense of "the blood on their hands." This is a conceptual effect, allowing her to track a target even if the weapon has been thoroughly cleaned or does not exist as a physical shape when a Servant takes spiritual form. It even extends to a certain degree of magecraft, as she will be able to "smell" the magus even if they employed a less gruesome form of attack such a curse that stops the heart. The difference will be that Echidna can track the man who killed her child with a sword wherever he is, but indirect methods will only give her a general idea of the killer's vicinity. The only way to avoid the homing effect is to dispatch one of her monsters without ever actually harming it. A trickster like Odysseus would be ideal, as he would likely find some way to fool the monster into killing or maiming itself, leaving his hands clean.

    Notes
I realized too late that her first skill is essentially Achilles's invulnerability NP. Oh well.

I also made her way more overpowered than I intended, as her main purpose is to be a breeding factory for monster shock troopers. The Noble Phantasm came first, and then I figured she's a great candidate for Monstrous Strength. Then it struck me as weird that I don't remember any heroes going off to kill the Monster Queen, so I looked her up again and saw that a giant had to murder her in her sleep on no less than Hera's orders to get rid of her. This gave rise to the idea that most of the heroes simply couldn't hurt her, so they didn't even try. However, it all dovetails together to make someone who is both stupidly strong and incredibly hard to kill, which isn't really the point. But Grendel's Mother was a bigger pain the ass than Grendel himself, so it's not entirely farfetched that she would be better than all of them.

It paints a fun scene, too. Some Master is jazzed that his Servant just killed The (Bootleg) Hydra, patting himself on the back and telling his Servant he is the best thing since sliced bread, when the next monster up the food chain shows up spitting expletives and poisonous sea foam for the sole purpose of murdering them as violently as possible.

Another point of trivia: It took everything I had not to put "The Mother We Share" in the Ruby Text field.

So I considered submitting this character to Moon White Redux, changed my mind, then someone else wanted to use it and Verg said no, so here she is. I didn't end up writing the lore down but I think the basic idea of her backstory comes through in the skills and the faceclaim. She's basically an Arc clone, the Nasuverse lore for her story being that she was created by Dead Apostles for one reason or another as a way to try to restore the True Ancestors or something. I hadn't entirely figured it out, I just liked the idea.

    Kaguyahime
    False Princess of the Moon

    Class: Caster
    Alternate Classes: None
    Alignment: True Neutral

    Parameters:
    Strength: D++
    Endurance: D++
    Agility: C++
    Mana: B++
    Luck: C++

    Appearance

    Class Skills:

    Territory Creation
The ability to designate an area as the Servant’s territory, inferring bonuses whilst within that area.

    • X: Creation of a “Lunar Palace” is coded into Caster’s very being, but due to her existence being that of a flawed copy it is not possible for her to actually bring forth the castle that she sees so vividly in her dreams. Instead, she defines her Territory through the establishment of powerful defensive Bounded Fields, her only area of Thaumaturgical expertise.

    Item Creation
The ability to construct arcane or magical devices.

    • -: Caster has no ability to create any specialised items. Is she possibly an exceptionally terrible Magus? It appears she does possess one potion that can grant limited immortality or extraordinary healing capabilities, but she cannot create any more of the elixir.

    Personal Skills:

    Golden Rule

Measures one's fortune to acquire wealth.

    • B: Money will steadily accumulate in Caster’s presence over time. It is fortunate that Caster can always procure jewels from plants that she cuts down, as it appears she has inherited a tendency for excessive spending, though who she inherited it from is a mystery, as her human parents were humble and restrained even when they became wealthy.

    Irresistible Appeal
The charm of the Servant is truly alluring, and it is on the level of mind-affecting magecraft. When in the presence of a Servant with this skill activated, others find themselves under enchantment that tries to make them do his bidding, based on contested Magic Checks. Time will weaken the effect.

    • B: At this rank, only high rank mental-warding skills combined with at least a medium rank Magic Parameter can ward off the enchantment.

    Lunar Affinity
The possessor of this skill is highly connected to the moon somehow, and gains benefits when the moon is in the sky. Depending on the legends, the benefits may wax and wane depending on the moon’s visible phase.

    • A+: While the moon is shining Caster gains a Rank Up to all Parameters. When the moon is waxing gibbous, a single Plus Modifier is granted instead, and when the full moon is present it becomes a Double Plus Modifier, making Caster a powerhouse. In addition, if Caster is killed during the night then she will reborn as a child during the next night and will mature to her full power by the time of the next full moon.

    Self-Suggestion
Suggestion applied to oneself. A skill that raises resistance against mental interference.

    • B-: Caster has applied the hypnotic suggestion that “I am a human” to her own form, sealing her memories of her true nature and providing total resistance to mental interference. While her body remains unchanged by her suggestions, her mental state is entirely that of a human, but it weakens as the moon becomes more full, becoming more like the mind she is meant to possess.

    False Dowry: Ishizukuri
    Bowl of the Begging Buddha

    Type: Barrier
    Rank: C+
    Range: 1
    Targets: 1

Description: The first of the items that Caster never possessed but desired as an impossible prize for her hand in marriage. A simple bowl hewn roughly from sandstone and then polished to a sheen, it glows with a gentle light, the holy aspect of the enlightened Buddha soaked into it.

Ishizukuri is a simple Noble Phantasm that has only utility rather than offensive capabilities, for Buddha was a peaceful man who held no care for violence and force. It represents the humble soul and the spiritually fulfilling nature of enlightenment, and has the attribute of “receiving alms”, but it manifests this concept of “receiving” through the prism of Buddha’s pacifist views and so has the capacity as a “collector” of energy. When used as a passive Phantasm it will gradually collect mana from the land around it, collecting into the bowl as clear dew that can be drunk to help maintain the form of a Servant without a contract.

When it is invoked through Truename, Ishizukuri generates a protective barrier shield in front of it that can defend against attacks and absorb their power. It is able to match attacks that equal its own Rank if they are Phantasmal attacks, or Rank A attacks if they are regular attacks. Assuming that the attack doesn’t penetrate the barrier erected by Ishizukuri then all of the energy that the attack imparts against the shield is gathered and absorbed, being “received” into Caster’s body as pure prana.

    False Dowry: Kuramochi
    Silver Branch of Hourai

    Type:
    Anti-Unit
    Rank: B+
    Range: 1-12
    Targets: 1-10

Description: A finely wrought branch of sterling silver, studded with fine jewels. Plucked from a golden tree found on the utopian island of Hourai, this branch is an ideal catalyst for magecraft and so it is that Caster utilises this branch as her magical staff. The gnarled, organic looking shaft of silver bears upon it a multitude of jewels, some as big as a fist, and each of these jewels is packed with potent prana and an elemental that can taint the prana to utilise a variety of elements for all sorts of spells and magecraft.

The staff bears etchings upon it that are actually an artificial Thaumaturgical Crest of great complexity, housing a large number of spells with varying degrees of utility and combat application. Although Otomo is Caster’s greatest powerhouse of offensive spells, and is hardcoded with all sorts of storm thaumaturgy, it is not as versatile as Kuramochi, and so this staff is Caster’s primary Mystic Code.

Another aspect of the branch of Hourai is that despite being solid silver it is still the branch of an actual living plant, a truly unique and potent plant at that, so it should almost come as no surprise that crisscrossed within the staff is a tightly-packed bundle of Magical Circuits that have the property of “linking networks” and “transference”. Caster is able to link these Magic Circuits to her own while she holds the staff, and can use the unusual metallic nature of the circuits in conjunction with her own “unearthly” circuits to create all sorts of strange effects and spells that could not otherwise be achieved.

Finally, the staff of Kuramochi also acts as an expendable resource of sorts, as each jewel that hangs like ripe fruit from the staff is saturated with immense amounts of prana and can be utilised as a prana battery or for other purposes, as long as a magus knows how to draw the power out of them. Plucking the jewels from the staff is easy enough, and because it is an enchanted plant it is even able to regrow the jewelfruit over time. Firmly planting the base of the staff into fertile or magically-potent soil allows it to spread its Magic Circuits out into the ground like roots, thirstily drinking up the prana to grow new fruit. Of course, like all trees it takes time to produce the fruit so the jewels are limited in supply and should be used thoughtfully.

    False Dowry: Abe
    Cloak of the Fire-Rats

    Type:
    Barrier
    Rank: D+
    Range: 1
    Targets: 1

Description: A stunning fur cloak, purest white with icy blue tips rimming the borders of the fabric. This cloak was made from the pelts of the notorious fire-rats that lived within the calderas of active volcanos, hiding from the outside world in their protective veil of heat and flame. A simple concept embodies this cloak, that of “absolute immunity to heat”, granting total protection from any attacks utilising fire, heat or light as the basis of damage, although this total immunity can be overwhelmed by an attack that is greater than three ranks higher than Abe itself. In addition, the cloak itself has many enchantments on it, increasing Caster’s AC by 40 and providing her with native Magic Resistance of Rank A.

    False Dowry: Otomo
    Pearl of the Storm Dragon

    Type:
    Anti-Army
    Rank: A+
    Range: 1-30
    Targets: 1-100

Description: A lustrous iridescent pearl as big as a swollen cherry, set into a golden bracelet that Caster is able to manifest at any time she desires. Otomo is a pearl taken from the neck of an Oriental dragon, a great divine beast and deity of storms and oceans. It shimmers with all the colours of the rainbow and pulses with draconic energy, acting as an external prana furnace, Magic Circuit and Thaumaturgical Crest all in one, a common and ordinary object for the dragonkind but a true miracle of magecraft to any magus who acquired one. Because the pearl is self-contained it is not able to be used to provide prana directly to Caster, nor to fuel any other magical spells or effects, but it is an entirely self-sufficient Noble Phantasm that can theoretically operate indefinitely once the dragon reactor within the pearl’s core has been ignited.

By accessing the spells hardcoded into the pearl’s “Thaumaturgical Crest” of sorts, Caster is able to unleash stormforce winds, slicing rain and deadly bolts of lightning that crackle with high-voltage danger, as well as obscuring mists and clouds and deafening thunder. All of these are able to be utilised freely as long as Caster has the pearl activated. Because of the nature of the pearl’s crest design the options for spellcasting are powerful and effective, but extremely limited in a narrow field of specialisation, so for this reason Caster prefers to use Kuramochi as her primary spellcasting implement.

Unfortunately, without the body of the dragon to link to the pearl’s reactor core it is exceedingly dangerous to operate the actual prana furnace component of the miraculous relic for longer than a few minutes, so Caster mostly continues to rely on her own prana supply to access the magecraft locked within the pearl, but if she were to find a way to imbue draconic traits within herself then she could link the dragon-quality Magic Circuit from the pearl into her own to maintain it with a stable output. It’s probably easier to achieve this by simply giving the bracelet to someone else who has the factor of the dragon within them, however.

    Fase Dowry: Isonokami
    Cowrie of the Swallow’s Nest

    Type:
    Barrier
    Rank: E+
    Range: 0
    Targets: Self

Description: A shining shell, patterned with prismatic waves of colour that shine like a jewel. Recovered from the nest of a swallow just as it was laying eggs, the cowrie is a symbol of life and vitality and so it provides accelerated healing to the person who possesses it. Additionally, as an icon of life and health it also prevents the effects of toxins and diseases, keeping the body eternally healthy and young as a side effect.

Because Isonokami is a simple token that is not linked specifically to Caster, she is able to pass it on to others to benefit from the cowrie’s effects.

I thought it was time to lay off the Norse/Danish/Stuff Chris Likes rape for a while, so here you go.

    Class:Rider
    Attribute: Man
    Alignment: Lawful Good

    STR: B
    AGI: B+
    END: C+
    MGI: E
    LCK: D
    NP: A

    Skills:

    Riding: B
Most vehicles can be handled with above average skill. However, cannot ride the likes of the Phantasmal Races such as Monstrous Beasts.

    Magic Resistance: D
Cancels Single-Action spells. Applies Magic Resistance of the same degree of an amulet that rejects magical energy.

    Military Tactics: A
The ability to skillfully deploy forces and arms in large-scale engagements. Rider gains bonuses when using Anti-Army Noble Phantasms, as well as when faced with Noble Phantasms of the same type.

    Charisma: B
Suitable for the king of a country.

    Noble Phantasms:

Right of Conquest: By God’s Grace, I Live
    Rank: D
    Type: Anti-Unit (Self)
    Range: 0
    Max targets: 1 person

An ornately-decorated helmet that obscures the entirety of Rider’s face. When worn in this state, it is impossible to view Rider’s skills, Noble Phantasms, true identity, and parameters. However, its true mystery is fully revealed when Rider is killed. Rider may lift the opening of the helmet, exposing his identity to all, but in exchange, he gains the ability to cheat death a single time. The helmet’s power is not truly “revival from the dead”, but simply “making the enemy think you’re dead”.

Domesday Book: By God’s Will, I Rule
    Rank: C
    Type: Support
    Range: 1-200
    Max targets: 0 people

A thick, leather-bound book whose contents are written in such a way that only Rider can comprehend its true meaning. In reality, the book is a survey of the circular area one hundred kilometers wide, with its center being the Phantasm’s activation point. The Domesday Book gathers information on the land through the adjacent leylines, collecting information such as centers of commerce and government and ideal locations for strongholds. Upon activation, Rider may perform a Luck roll. If he succeeds, the Book will also show the locations of all Magi in the area at the time of its activation.

Bayeux Tapestry: By God’s Strength, I Conquer
    Rank: EX
    Type: Anti-Army
    Range: 1-99
    Max targets: 1000 people

An eight meter long piece of cloth detailing the Norman conquest of England. A subspecies of Reality Marble that is the crystallization of Rider’s legend. Within its fabric lies the very soul of the Conquest, encapsulating the identities of the noble soldiers who fought for the Norman claim to the throne of England, as well as warhorses, ships, and siege engines that would have been required to reinforce such a claim. With it, Rider can summon forth his troops once more to aid him in his bid for the Holy Grail.

The soldiers Rider brings forth into the material world from the Tapestry are low-ranking, masterless Servants whose prana is supplied by Rider himself, leaving him no choice but to deploy the soldiers in small numbers. However, if Rider were to be given sufficient backup, he could probably manifest a tenth of his army's original size, as well as a few of the ships used by the Norman army to cross the English channel. The Tapestry can also be activated like other “normal” Marbles, replacing the current world with the grassy hills that were the staging ground of the Battle of Hastings, the defining moment of Rider’s legend.

    Lore
Rider is William I of England, also known as "the Conqueror". He was known to be cunning as well as bold, crushing rebellions that formed even during his youth and continuing to do so well into old age. He would simply have been one of the many dukes vying for land and favor in medieval France, but this was not to be. His life was forever changed when his uncle Edward promised him the throne of England on his deathbed. During the ensuing struggle for hegemony over all of England, William’s previously sworn ally, Harold Godwinson, also declared himself a claimant for the English throne. Pitted against each other, the two would-be kings clashed on the fields of Hastings to determine who would be sole ruler of the country. William prevailed, and on Christmas of the same year, he was crowned King of England in Westminster Abbey.

Rider’s personality is very aristocratic; he refuses to bow to a Master of lower social standing, and outright mocks other Servants who were not born into nobility, as well as those who simply watched as destiny carried them away on their lives’ paths. For him, a “king” is simply one who can grab the reins of power and manage to steer their destinies into the direction of their own choosing. In contrast, he is very loyal and pious, showing not even a single shred of hesitation to carry out orders from a Master who has earned his respect, and paying utmost respect to the Church members who administrate the Grail War. Unusually enough, Rider does not have a readily available mount; he waves it off, saying that all that he needs is inside the tapestry he holds. His wish to the Holy Grail is to see Britain advance and become the most powerful kingdom in the world.

On Echidna, overall i really like the sheet, but personally i'd make the Stagnant Waters thing not an actual Personal Skill, but just "something she can do," like Saber's running on water. it's one of those things that reads a bit strangely and hyper-specifically to be a skill, though maybe that is just me.
Huh, Kaguyahime. i will admit to some jealousy - i have been trying to draft her for awhile, and i wanted to go with the E, D, C, b, A NP spread too. i was stuck on NP effects for the cowrie or fire rat robe, though. Mine was going to be a Counter Guardian who stopped Mt. Fuji from erupting, and the buddha bowl was going to bestow Saver's ability where damage only registered if equal to her max HP, lol. but you handled the NPs pretty well, especially the dragon and jewel ones. Very nice execution overall!

While it's acknowledged in the sheet, i kind of have some philosophical issues with a Rider who gets summoned with no mount - you reference that by relying on the Tapestry, but the Tapestry doesn't mention any mount either, so at least some lip service to if he gets a ride out of there would probably be helpful. considering the grail's willingness to rig or construct a makeshift NP when you don't naturally fit the class container, you would expect a Rider to get something whether fully deserved or not. He's an interesting one, though, relatively muted effects other than the Hetairoi lite, which is pretty prohibitively expensive when executed that way.

It is said that from his birth, every ninth year, Zeus came to him on his terrace to teach and instruct him in various matters like politics, warfare and fair conduct. Rather than an ability to reproduce the skills of heroes, it is knowledge that prepares him for any sort of discussion or debate, information as to how to lead the country one resides in and wisdom that lets him know what the people desires.

    Military Tactics: C

Tactical knowledge used not for one-on-one combat situations, but for battles where many are mobilized. Bonus modifiers are provided during use of one's own Anti-Army Noble Phantasm or when dealing against an enemy Anti-Army Noble Phantasm. According to Thucydides, Minos was the first king in history to build a proper navy, which controlled all of the Aegean Sea for years.

    Charisma: A

The natural talent to command an army. Increases the ability of allies during group battles. Kind, beloved and greatly charismatic, Minos is said to have achieved the greatest level of popularity a human can achieve, swaying both gods and men to his side, the vestiges of his kingdom reaching into even mainland Greece.

Tales From a Land Far Away: -

A special skill given to those whose legends have mixed and matches endlessly with similar ones from far away lands. Because of their similar names and legends, Minos can draw upon the traits of King Menes of Egypt and King Manu of India. The abilities can only be activated one at a time, and are as follows.

    King Menes:
Why I chose the Saint Seiya faceclaim
    Monstrous Strength: A

Warping the legend of the King Scorpion to fit the animal representing Minos' father Zeus, the proud eagle, Minos transforms his body partially into a Phantasmal Beast, in this case a griffon. Divinity is ranked down to D so long as this skill is active, but in return eagle wings manifest out of the Servant's back, STR and END are ranked up by one and Magic Resistance is raised to B.

    King Manu:
I really like Griffon Minos, that is totally not why I made this guy
    Southern Kalaripayattu: A+

Warping the legend of Sraddhadeva Manu, who saved the Seven Sages and his family from the Great Flood and received blessings from them as a reward, Minos acquires the martial art skills the Sage Agastya taught the wise king. At the rank acquired, Minos becomes a master at the art of Kalari, but he can only use it for battle and cannot benefit from its meditative or healing purposes.

    Noble Phantasms:

    Taurus Aldebaran
    Κρὴς ταῦρος: A+

    Anti-Army

The Noble Phantasm that validates Minos as a Rider, it is the great Cretan Bull who seduced his wife. Though Minos never rode this Divine Beast during his life, it became his through the belief of mankind thanks to the horrible legend of its rape of his beloved wife Pasiphae, which resulted in the monster known as the Minotaur.

Mounting this beautiful white bull, the Noble Phantasm that is the red-hot charge of the Aldebaran star is not immediately able to be activated. As the great Divine Beast charges Minos' enemies and rampages about, it slowly builds up speed, starting off being only a little faster than a normal racehorse before slowly becoming a charging white comet that leaves nothing but afterimages in its wake. At the peak of this developing speed, Minos may egg the bull into a frenzy that causes it to glow red and charge once more, tripling its speed and doubling its attack power for a single moment, allowing it to pass Mach 8 speeds for a few seconds and destroy the enemy utterly. After the Charge of Aldebaran, the Cretan Bull's speed fades and has to build up again.

    The Deciding Vote
    Unbiased Judge of Souls: B

    Anti-Unit

The Noble Phantasm representing Minos' position after his death. Because of his invaluable wisdom and fair conduct, the Gods of Olympus took the man's soul and made him a judge of those who crossed the River Styx together with his brother Rhadamanthys and half-brother Aeacus. Rhadamanthys judged those from the east, Aeacus judged those from Europe and Minos held the deciding vote.

As a Noble Phantasm, it is a simple trump card that can only come into play at the verge of his opponent's defeat. Once the enemy passes the point where they can only keep standing thanks to willpower and fighting spirit, Minos can put in his deciding vote as to whether they live or die, and whichever he chooses is absolute. Only an extreme ability to change fate can possibly avert the judgement of one so fair and just.

Shining Perfect Pearl of the Aegean Sea
    Ανάκτορο της Κνωσού: EX

    Anti-Country

The seat of King Minos, it is the palace of the oldest city in all of Europe from which the wise king ruled Greece with sternness and kindness. It is a realm of power that is permanently made manifest in the modern world similar to a Reality Marble. It is a grand palace that can only be placed on a cluster of leylines, where it will drain each and every bit of prana flowing through the area to fuel itself together with the human sacrifices for the Minotaur that were once performed within. Its total size is an astounding 24 square kilometers, effectively forcing Minos to either find a desolate leyline cluster or crush a massive amount of modern civilization to fit it. While Minos possesses great pride in the beauty of his palace, it goes against his morals to tread down so grossly on modern humans.

Within the gold-clad marble halls, Minos is lord and master. Children of the Minotaur, Monstrous Beasts similar to their slain father, roam his halls and man every entrance armed with axes, spears and bows to slaughter all invaders. As the palace covers 6 acres of land, these monsters number somewhere in the thousands, effectively an army of powerful monsters who serve their grandfather faithfully. The palace conveys the concept of the Labyrinth upon all that enter it who are not invited, making navigation based on direction completely impossible, and any sense that one has figured out the maze of a palace's patterns is in truth an illusion that guides the person towards the throne room, where Minos awaits to deal with his intruder.

Besides its many perils, including the true Minotaur, a great Divine Beast, in an underground labyrinth within it, the castle is a wonder of architecture. Built over the course of 300 years during and after Minos' own time had passed, it contains its own aqueduct, grain mills, oil presses and wine presses, all of which produce some of the finest goods of the Age of Gods, a theater equal to the Colosseum in splendor and a great dance floor build for Queen Ariadne and her guests.

At Minos' command, however, the intruders of this beautiful palace can be thrown into the true Labyrinth, whether through trapdoor or by the palace simply warping into the Labyrinth. The mind-clouding effect that hampers one's sense of direction is multiplied several times, and without having a direct lead to the exit like a thread, it is impossible to navigate. Mind-crippling fear of the beast whose footsteps echo off of every wall numbs the strength of anyone without the ability to resist great Mental Interference. Minos can of course also join his son's hunt in the Labyrinth, and benefits from an ability to blend in with the walls similar to Presence Concealment as well as none of the afflictions of the cursed maze.

    Notes
Had a lot of fun designing this one even if I used a lot of clashing and dubious information. Minos is much less a single coherent myth than it is one attributed to multiple kings, so I used that to mix and match with kings of even other cultures. I went with "Minos I" as the base, who was said to be a wise and fair leader that lead Crete into a golden age. The reason I designed him to begin with and why I picked the faceclaim I did is because Saint Seiya is an old favorite of mine, and Griffon Minos was definitely one of the better parts of it for me, exceeded only by Rhadamanthys, Shaka, Saga, Shion and Shiryu.

As for this Minos' personality, it would primarily be based on Minos I. He is a kind and compassionate man whose downfall, despite being a fantastic king, came from the temper he had when he was wronged gravely, such as Theseus making away with his daughter or the Cretan Bull seducing his wife and resulting in his bastard son, the Minotaur. Realizing that this anger was what brought him down in life despite being one of the closest examples to an ideal ruler, who was both strong, stern yet cared for his people and gave them a groundwork for generations to come, he desires to be crowned anew in the modern era so that he can give the people the leader they deserved so many centuries ago.

I'm somewhat disappointed the Bull NP doesn't work like Aldebaran's Great Horn Iai-like attack

    Hrm. Might as well!

    I was drafting this as a WIP for White Redux, but I can't really get a handle on the skill point system, and overall this guy kind of got away from me - I ended up giving him completely unadministerable NPs and skills for a RP, though I am pretty fond of them. ^^;

It somewhat arose out of a challenge to see if I could go something pretty silly and make a merchant Servant, and this company was the first that came to mind. Things snowballed from there, lol.

    Class:
    Rider
    True Name: George Clifford
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral

    Statistics:
    Strength: B
    Endurance: C
    Agility: C
    Mana: D
    Luck: B
    Noble Phantasm: A+

    Background:
    Spoiler:
It was not long after Francis Drake's stunning upsets against the Spanish Armada that Queen Elizabeth found herself petitioned to allow travel and trade to the Indies, crossing the Cape of Good Hope. Though numerous attempts were made, the first successful one - and the charter that would go on to establish what would become the East India Company - was granted to one George Clifford, the third Earl of Cumberland, and 215 knights under his name. Enjoying a virtual monopoly on the Indies which would only grow in time, the corporation would grow from humble beginnings to a financial juggernaut that was essentially an armed nation in its own right - a corporation of legendary scale whose feats have not been matched before or since.

Clifford himself was not only a founder of the East India Company, however, but also a peer and ally of both Queen Elizabeth and Francis Drake - he served as the queen's champion as a prodigious jouster and his naval exploits included buccaneering and supporting Drake in maritime combat. To what extent he knew the two individuals - or their secrets - is a fascinating question, but having lost his fortune in the end of his life through gambling, it can be said that Drake most likely rubbed off on him in a bad way.

In order to help his two acquaintances, Clifford commissioned a 38-gun ship, the Scourge of Malice, later to be known as the Red Dragon after it was decommissioned into the services of the East India Company. It was said with his wealth that Clifford had paid for "the largest and most expensive ship ever built by a subject of England" and it may rightly be said to be the symbol of his wealth and achievement in life.

    Class Abilities:
    Riding
    Rank: B
Most vehicles can be handled with above average skill. However, he cannot ride the likes of Phantasm Races such as Monstrous Beasts.

    Magic Resistance
    Rank: D
Cancels Single-Action spells. Magic Resistance of the same degree of an amulet that rejects magical energy.

    Personal Skills:
    Golden Rule
    Rank: A-
The ability to acquire wealth. Money problems are almost completely unknown at first, but his fortunes begin to decay slightly with time and eventually drops sharply.

    Military Tactics
    Rank: C+
Tactical knowledge used not for one-on-one combat situations, but for battles where many are mobilized. Bonus modifiers are provided during use of one's own Anti-Army Noble Phantasm or when dealing against an enemy Anti-Army Noble Phantasm. As the entirety of his military experience relates to nautical combat, Rider's aptitude for strategy is increased when it relates to his ship or other vessels.

    Collector
    Rank: B
The "talent" to collect high quality goods, or a "luck" that draws rare items into the possession of the Servant. However, the Servant's Master derives no benefit from this personal skill. Rather than items, Rider has a knack for acquiring "employees", causing his coins to frequently end up in the hands of interesting or eccentric characters with peculiar benefit to his Noble Phantasm.

    Noble Phantasms:
Red Dragon - Scourge of the Dragon's Malice
    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: A+
A galleon commissioned at the height of George Clifford's infatuation with naval combat, ordered on behalf of Queen Elizabeth and used to fight alongside Sir Francis Drake himself, two completely unrelated relationships held in his lifetime. Despite the great lengths he went to commission the finest, most expensive vessel within his prodigious means, Rider's cherished vessel was plagued by misfortune throughout its career, both in the military and in service to the Company. Every one of its documented voyages were turned back or interfered with by storms of varying intensity, regardless of how many times it changed helmsmen or where its voyage took it. It appears that this history of misfortune chases the vessel even now, as the "Red Dragon" has become associated with storms itself, manifesting the aura of a fierce storm around it that it seems to ride on through the air.

In reality, this association is the result of a peculiar relationship the vessel had with a water dragon during Rider's lifetime, which fell in love with the vessel's gaudy display of wealth and desired to horde it in her collection. Having caught her eye, unbeknownst to Rider or its subsequent captains, the Red Dragon was pursued relentlessly by the creature, causing it to be constantly chased with storms and waves of unnatural longevity until the day it sank and joined the enamored dragon's embrace. The dragon's misplaced adoration remains attached to the vessel even now, granting its 38 "dragon guns" the torrential force of dragon's breath and resulting in powerful resistance against magical energy.

A "Red Dragon" in name only, it is now manifested as the consort of the blue dragon, who will never let her prize escape her grasp nor allow others to take it away from her. It is possible that she might even interject if the vessel itself is at risk of destruction - but no similar protection shall be accorded to its rider or passengers.

East India Company - The Sun Rises Eternal on an Honorable Empire
    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: E-A++
A peculiar Noble Phantasm in the form of a collection of coins that Rider freely shares from the time he is summoned to its conclusion, scattering them with seemingly magnanimous charity. Representing the royal charter granted to him and his men by Queen Elizabeth herself, Rider possesses 215 of these coins in total, each one a priceless artifact of pure gold representing the aggregate might and influence of a mere trading company whose fame and empire reached the level of kings. A Noble Phantasm belonging to a corporation more than any one man, Rider retains its usage as the founder whose individual journey began its much greater adventure.

Each coin, while in circulation through the locale in which the Grail War takes place, represents a bounded field that is recognized as a "colony" of the East India Company. Unknowing to those who trade and pass the coins on, all those who are part of the colonies are part and parcel of the union, of which Rider himself stands at the head. Thus, he has constant access to the aggregate prana, statistics, and abilities of those within his "employ."

While the strength of humans is no great benefit to a Servant individually, in the aggregate, they represent an impressive well of power for Rider, especially combined with his ability to allocate its resources where he sees fit. The defensive power of an immense company may be concentrated at one point, or their combined power placed behind a single blow. Should he be allowed to employ a Servant, even more absurd consequences may be possible.

We already talked about it a little, but I love the idea of turning the East Indies Trading Company into a Servant. You've done extremely well with him here, the concept of a yandere water dragon chasing his ship forever will continue to amuse me and seems very Nasuish, as is the whole "Everyone who holds some of my gold works for me now!" attitude that the second NP fosters. I hope George is like a modern-day Gilgamesh, assured in his wealth and power.

Also, the continual references to Francis Drake/Queen Elizabeth amused me. EXTRA Rider never did get enough love in the real works.

If embodiment of disease can be a Servant, then why not an organisation elevated to a Heroic Spirit instead of individuals making up it?
