I wanked Kriemhild a bit with anecdotes about Siegfried's uhhh... "seed" corrupting her personality and biology into a image of a evil dragon and giving her dragon powers (basically a dragon girl), halfway inspired by Sakura. Constantine tho is pretty similar, though i imagined him as an older guy and not a Bishonen.

It goes without saying that as a Divine Beast of the Far East, Mishima is more than familiar with such techniques. However, she tends to use this sparingly for reasons pertaining to her sense of dignity, and while she does possess high skill, it is hard to say she has any particular natural aptitude for it. As an aside, it seems like her material form as a Servant has the unusual quality of automatically adjusting her appearance to suit the personal tastes of the summoner.

Manifestations of Yatagarasu can behave unconventionally when summoned as Servants, and Mishima herself has materialised as a being closer to a Noble Phantasm than a proper Caster. A Continuously-Active type that represents her status as the bridge between the heavens and the earth, it is an existence that fosters and cultivates one's own Master. Rather, as a result of their contract, her Master themselves has become Caster on the basis of their feat of successfully manifesting a sign of providence. Accordingly, the Master gains a blank Caster-class Saint Graph akin to a Servant, with this Noble Phantasm included. It is a kind of special contract-induced ability, mechanically identical to the normal effects that some Servants have on their contractors, such as the Poison Resistance granted to the Master of a certain Knight of the Round Table. However, this particular effect is abnormally potent, able to scale in power and breadth according to both the Servant and the Master. When faced with challenges, Yatagarasu will observe how they approach them, and if difficult enough, such a challenge can become a Journey. For Masters undergoing a Journey, their performance will be put to the test accordingly, and depending on the results, their spiritual standing is elevated. In this way, for each Journey, it is possible to increase their abilities, similar to "gaining experience points". For particularly strong performance, it is even possible to gain the likes of Personal Skills to reflect their solution to each hurdle. For those with a passing familiarity with the Watcher class, one might note that this is an exceptionally compatible ability for such a manifestation. Furthermore, upon Mishima's death, her body will transform into one last final Noble Phantasm that reflects the Journeys of the Master as a way of marking the completion of their legend. With the death of the mentor, the creation of the hero is complete, and all that is necessary is to end the story by overcoming the final challenge with everything they have gained.

Onmyoudou
A form of Magecraft developed in Japan based off a number of Oriental traditions, and the syncretism of them into a single system. Its most famous practitioner is Abe-no-Seimei, but bringing that man up to Mishima would only cause her to boast that she obviously dwarfs him in prowess, since "I taught that man everything he knew". Indeed, if one were to track the discipline's history back, one would find its roots in the Taoism that she herself brought from China, and so one could accurately say that she is the original creator of the Magecraft called Onmyoudou. Although many of her apprentices and their own disciples advanced the principles of Onmyoudou substantially, they are all simply building on the groundwork that she laid over 2500 years ago.

Kamo
A clan whose origins date from obscurity. According to legend, they are descended from the legendary Yatagarasu from before the origin of Japan. The Kamo clan have been a means for Yatagarasu to continue to reincarnate throughout the eras through the processional ritual of Aoi Matsuri, but in modern times, compatible hosts are extremely scarce. Of note is the Kamo Shrine Complex, an enormous magical workshop of Onmyoudou laid out on the border of the Reverse Side of the World in Kyoto, traditionally known by ordinary society as the Kamigamo Shrine and Shimogamo Shrine. These are normally considered two separate structures, but in reality they are simply two entrances to the same enormous Magecraft complex that encompasses a number of highly sacred sites.

BackgroundBackground

Yatagarasu is a mysterious being. Its exact origins are obscure. The image of a three-legged crow can be traced back to ancient China over 7000 years ago under the name of Sanzuwu. Of note is the legend of Hou Yi, who once shot down nine terrible suns that transformed into three-legged crows as they fell, but was forced to spare the tenth for the good of humanity. Some time after the coining of this legend, a three-legged crow by the name of Yatagarasu appears in Japanese mythology as sent by the high creator Takamimusubi and the royal goddess Amaterasu, who are both attested as having a servant bird by the name of Nakime.

Yatagarasu is known for guiding Emperor Jimmu to the land where he would found what would eventually become Japan. It also incarnated as a human being, who would later give birth to the Kamo clan. This clan, while being politically powerful, would generate a number of tremendous men and women whose presences seemed to surpass that of normal humanity, such as Kamo no Nagaakira and Kamo no Yasunori. It is whispered that the crow reincarnates every age, and even now it waits in the depths of the shrine complex to find a suitable host in this era.

Mishima considers herself a teacher first and foremost. To that end, she will teach those who she considers her students, and her education will persist until they have learned something, whether they like it or not. How exactly she decides who is a student in her eyes is a mystery to just about everyone, but it seems to be related to how much she feels they would benefit from being taught. Basically, she arbitrarily decides to become a mentor to those who she considers somehow ignorant... Broadly speaking, anyway. Even Mishima is selective about just who she doles out her advice to in the first place.

Mishima is aware that her talents do not strictly lie in the realms of pragmatism. She is, after all, a bird. She will openly teach Magecraft to those who she finds to be worthy of it, along with many other arts such as healing and living off of the land, as well as things like arts and culture and history and so forth... but she is aware that she has limits. She has been alive in some form or another for many, many years, and she has gained vast amounts of knowledge, but she stands by the principle that the very best teacher is always oneself. As such, what she attempts to convey is not the essence of a skill or a collection of arts; she has no interest in granting power alone to those who would seek it out. Rather, her approach is to instead teach philosophies and states of mind to her students, so that they may explore their own talents and interrogate their own mentalities: what is worth learning, and how they should teach it to themselves.

She can seem somewhat finicky and frustrating as a mentor, sometimes appearing to contradict herself or act hypocritically, but to actually say this to her is simply baiting a reprimand and accusation of narrowmindedness. Loyalty to principles and to lessons, she assesses, includes the consideration of when to set them aside. To truly understand a thing is to have the wisdom to know when it is appropriate to apply in the first place, and so she has no qualms in betraying even the very lessons she is delivering to her declared students. Just because it is worth following laws, that does not strictly mean that all laws individually are equally worth following at all times, so goes her philosophy. Every pithy idiom or parable has a counterpart that delivers the exact opposite message, and she can recite every single one of them.

Outside of her compulsively teacher-like persona, she is quite fond of calm and laidback atmospheres. In particular, she has a certain adoration for tea ceremonies, although it doesn't seem like the ceremonies themselves are much more than an excuse for her to sit around with a hot drink in a beautifully decorated room. Easily made fun of as a "granny", she would not argue that she relates more to the tired and the elderly than the youthful energy she finds herself drawn to in others, and she wonders if it is a masochism (or even a sadism) that she finds the loud and brash qualities of others to be so magnetic.
