Have you ever felt like you already knew something in advance?

I speak not of mere deja vu, but rather the prior knowledge of a certain idea.

A phenomenon that assaults all senses, sixth included.

    For instance…

“I’ve witnessed this scenery once before.”

“I’ve tasted this wine once before.”

“I’ve smelled this aroma once before.”

“I’ve enjoyed this piece of music once before.”

“I’ve bedded this woman once before.”

    And, of course…

“These feelings have stirred my soul once before.”

    Class: Caster
    Name: Hermes Trismegistus
    Alignment: True Neutral
    Place of Origin: Babylon
Original Lifetime: Unknown. While he became famous in the last centuries before CE, Trismegistus traces all the way back to the earliest days of Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilization.

    STR: D AGI: B

END: D MGI: ∞ (Caster's mana gathering and production is so far above that of other Magi of even his era that he can easily be self-sufficient so long as he has a link to the world, no matter how much he consumes)

    LCK: A+ NP: EX

    Class Skills:

    Territory Creation: A++

The skill to build a special terrain that is advantageous to oneself as a magus. At this rank it is no longer merely the creation of a territory, but the construction of a seperate "Universe" inside this one, where the rules can be radically different from our own.

    Item Creation: A+

The Servant's skill at creating items of a magical nature. Caster is capable of creating magical miracles like Philosopher's Stones and Aqua Vitae that can be utilized even by the common man, as well as statuettes and gems that contain Demons, Angels, high-class Spirits and even Phantasmal Species.

    Personal Skills:

    High-Speed Divine Words: A++

The power to activate Thaumaturgy without the use of Magic Circuits. The language of the Age of Gods, back when words played a heavy role in spellcasting. As such, it is power long lost by modern magi. Having received divine manuscripts from the God of Wisdom Thoth, Caster is among the first mortals to have ever spoken the Divine Language for the purpose of Magecraft. At this rank, the highest that a mortal can possess, High-Thaumaturgy can be activated with a single syllable, and a Grand Ritual Magic Circle can take shape automatically from a single sentence scribbled into the surface it is to be placed upon.

    Divinity: A

The measure of whether one has Divine Spirit aptitude or not. At high levels one is treated as a mixed race of a Divine Spirit. Worshiped as a God of Magic who brought Magecraft to mankind, Caster is indeed more akin to a Divine Spirit than a human, but because of his heroic ambitions, a wish out of reach that he pursued all his life like a proper hero, he is summonable as a Heroic Spirit.

    Librarian of Stored Knowledge: B

The ability that makes it possible to clearly recall knowledge from memory, even if the information perceived in the past was not consciously acknowledged at the time. Caster can be said to be possessing of an eidetic memory, so as long as it is something recognized by his senses or his mind at the time, he can remember it with a Luck check.

    Theurgy: C (A+)

Magic before it became a system with a foundation, almost as old as the Unified Language itself and the oldest branch of magic practiced by mankind. It is a power that subjugated humanity for thousands of years before the rise of the First Hero and Caster's own creationm, the Foundation of Magic, drove it into obscurity, and to this day less than a half-dozen families of Magi practice it or something related to it. Through ritual practice, prayer and sufficient magical talent, it allows for the handling of a Divine Spirit's power, or in rarer cases, allows them to partially or completely possess one's body, making it possible to use Divine Thaumaturgy that exceeds the capabilities of mankind.

Caster's talent in the use of Theurgy is grand, matched only by the greatest priests of ancient Babylon, but due to his distaste for a vast majority of gods, excluding those who aided humanity and was an enemy of the other gods, his ability to gain their approval in ritual, much less resort to it himself, is limited.

    Noble Phantasms:

Golden Ibis of the Shining Moon
    Sceptor of Thoth: B

    Anti-World

The divine symbol of the Egyptian God of Wisdom, Thoth, who additionally was tasked to put everything in balance and to make sure good and evil were never unevenly matched. This also applied to the balance between man and god, however, so Thoth was one of the gods who aided immensely in the development of civilization. To man, Thoth gave writing, science, law, medicine, theology and several other gifts that made the kingdom of Egypt flourish to be the greatest kingdom on earth for many centuries.

Though he shared many of his gifts equally, Thoth did help some great heroes more than the common man, thinking them the exemplary beacons of mankind, and one of those heroes were Trismegistus, the greatest Magus the world would ever see. In addition to teaching him many Divine Thaumaturgies, Thoth gave him many texts from the library of the gods to read, and when he had taught the wise hero all that he had planned to, he offered him his scepter, a powerful artifact that denoted his status as the God of wisdom.

The Scepter of Thoth, in addition to serving as Hermes' primary Mystic Code, passively emits an aura of equilibrium, correcting things in it's proximity to be equalized. Walls with holes in them will be fixed, and the damage total of that hole will be spread across the entire wall instead, uneven grass will grow evenly, and most other uneven phenomena will be automatically correct if it's within 50 meters of Trismegistus and his staff. This also applies to the Mana in the air, meaning that any amount removed from the air around Hermes through his usage of Magecraft will automatically be refilled by Mana from elsewhere, ensuring that he can never run out.

When activated as a Noble Phantasm however, the scepter's equilibrium is overwritten by Trismegistus's influence, having changed the divine instrument's function forcibly, which forces phenomena to be stacked in his favor. All enemy abilities that rely on "changing fate" or ones that can only be avoided by defying one's own fate are neutralized, and the amount of Mana drawn from the land and air to Trismegistus's proximity is multiplied to such a degree that it becomes visible to the naked eye and choking to even a powerful Magus.

    Foundation of All Magic
    Trismegistus Hermetica: E~EX

    Magecraft

The first Grimoire in history, written by Trismegistus and interwoven with the very history of mankind. It is from this tome, detailing the secrets of Magecraft kept in the libraries of the Mesopotamian gods, that the very foundation of Magecraft was forged, evolving from the god-monopolized Theurgy into Thaumaturgy, which could be freely used by all of mankind who bore the talent in their Circuits. From this Foundation, Magecraft blossomed to greatness, and the praises of Trismegistus rang in every corner of the world.

As the original source of Thaumaturgy, it is a fact that all Magecraft, no matter how twisted, obscure or even if it is not based on anything in it or exclusive to bloodlines must come from this tome, which when summoned as a Servant instead takes the shape of the magic circles on his gloves, symbolizing how all Magecraft was molded from his hands. By using his eclectic memory to recite from this book and combining it with his utterly abnormal Mana, it becomes possible to use any spell devised by mankind, including continent-spanning rituals, as their foundation must lie with the Hermetica, and due to Hermes far exceeding any other Magus, their effects are generally much greater, as the Hermetica preserves the versions of the spells in the state they had during his lifetime, their mystery unpolluted. Noble Phantasms that are Magecraft like
    Barrier of the Wind King
    Invisible Air
    ,
    Thou Shalt A Serpent Become
    Abyssus Draconis
    ,
The Spear Of The Stars Traversing The Skies
    Diatrecon Aster Logche
are not exempt from this, and can be utilized freely, but ones that are not explicitly Magecraft like
Phantasmal Greatsword, Felling of the Sky Demon
    Balmung
cannot be used, even if their effects resemble Magecraft.

Divine Thaumaturgy that is not based on mortal Magecraft is not in Hermes' arsenal, but he can learn how to use it if he witnesses it and has time to reverse-engineer it. However, he does have access to a considerable amount of Divine Thaumaturgy from Thoth's library. The five True Magics also escape his grasp, but Hermes has access to Divine Thaumaturgy and truly ancient Magecraft with similar or identical performance.

I originally had a Nasuverse lore thing written down and another Noble Phantasm for the Emerald Tablet, but it got eaten by the half-functional auto-save function and I couldn't arse myself to rewriting it, especially since I've taken way too long writing this anyway.

I think you mean eidetic, as in eidetic recall.

No, no, his memory just has too much weird stuff in it, that's why he needs to make a luck check to remember where his pants are in the morning.

"It doesn't matter. Apparently some people mourned my fate, regretted it. It doesn't matter. There's nowhere happier than where I went. Staying in such a world isn't happier. And... such an ending could not happen. That's merely how the world is. It's cold. So very cold. Nobody even noticed I was there until I was gone. Making up a better ending to assuage their consciences... people are cowardly. It doesn't matter."
    - Caster

    Name: Little Match Girl
    Class: Caster
    Gender: Female
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral
    Master: TBD

    Personality:
An extraordinarily detached person who doesn't acknowledge the world. Caster is quiet and introverted, rarely speaking up. She is a rather timid person who could easily be described as socially awkward, having never once had real social interactions with anyone besides her grandmother. Caster only rarely speaks when not spoken to, and often seem uncomfortable engaging in conversation with other people. When she does speak, it is in a cold and detached fashion. Growing up in extreme poverty, Caster is frugal and conservative. She is the type of person who chides wastefulness and insists on making full use of objects or people alike. Perhaps this would come across as sanctimonious, but she does so without a hint of emotion or engagement. She acts as if she cares, but it seems she doesn't care one bit about the world.

Caster holds no interest in the transience and hypocrisy of reality. She doesn't have a single iota of curiosity about the world she is summoned to. Even the far future would hold no comfort or joy for her. It seems she has had it decided in her mind that reality isn't something that matters to her. It is a cold and unforgiving place by nature, notable for cruel ironies. People will be forgotten during their lives, remembered only after they die, but eventually be forgotten once more. The rich will feast and the poor will rot. It is a maddening world that she finds no point in. She who suffered ceaselessly in her life with only one bright spot has become what might be called an empty shell, existing only to fulfill a process. Caster killed her emotions to live in a world whose very existence she rejects. She has high standards and longs for heaven's perfection.

She has no expectations for anything. Caster favors people who are kind to others and follow the rules, but perhaps holds no interest in doing such things herself. She holds a cold contempt for those who are cruel, but is not above doing such things herself if it is absolutely necessary. She will sometimes help people if she is asked to, but finds no joy or meaning in the act. She has no qualms about killing people; after all, nobody paid her life any mind, and soon forgot about her death. If they will die anyway, there is no problem with killing them now. Caster does believe in dreams and wishes; they aspire beyond the world, and in life she found comfort in illusions. She no longer bears any for herself. Caster does not care for herself any longer, and exists to fulfill the wish of her Master. Perhaps she seeks some meaning in making a dream come true.

    Strength: E
    Endurance: C
    Agility: D
    Mana: B
    Luck: D

    Tactics:
Caster is a weak Servant, a relatively recent mystery who was never a true user of thaumaturgy. She is most definitely what could be called a support-type Servant, far more suited for fighting in conjunction with a combat-capable Master or another Servant. Perhaps it might be said her style is well suited for a Servant without a wish or desire. Her attacks and Noble Phantasms carry with them severe risks and no promise of self-gain. A high risk high reward expendable tool.

    Class Skills:
    Item Construction: E
The skill to manufacture magical items. Caster, never a true magus, only has the ability to manufacture the matches she uses for her attacks.

    Territory Creation: E
The skill to build a special terrain advantageous to oneself as a magus. Never a true magus, Caster can only carve out a 'niche' for herself.

    Personal Skills:
    Presence Concealment: A+
The capacity to hide one's presence as a Servant. While she is not of the Assassin class, Caster has acquired a high rank in this skill due to never being noticed during life, even when deliberately trying to be noticed. She blends in completely and it is nearly impossible for her to be detected; she will only ever be regarded as a young girl unworthy of notice, though this skill's efficiency drops when she begins preparation for attack.

    Discernment of the Poor: A+
Insight to see through an opponent's character and attribute. Growing up in immense poverty, she was personally exposed to the lives of the weak, the struggles of some humans and the wealth and riches of others. Her own detached personality allows for rational analysis of people and their personalities. She will not be deceived by excuses and deceptions from words, and can grasp the true nature of an opponent with ease.

    Innocent Monster: C
History and existence distorted by reputations, perception, and legend, resulting in changes to conform to those views. The right arm she used to strike matches is covered with burn scars, the body she used the matches to warm is the same. Being known as the Little Match Girl has led to such distortions. Additionally, because of the heartfelt desires of readers that she live on, she has manifested as a teenager in appearance.

    Noble Phantasms:
Name: Falling Star: A Life Goes Out
    Rank: B+
    Type: Anti-Unit
In the Little Match Girl's story, told by Hans Christian Andersen, a falling star, marked by a trail of fire, denoted her passing. The Little Match Girl had been told by her grandmother that a star falling meant someone's soul ascending to a better place. It was a folklore within a story but was not an uncommon belief. The moment of the Little Match Girl's death has been crystallized as a Noble Phantasm. Falling Star has two conditions for its usage. Firstly, it must be used at night. Secondly, whoever its target is must be at a lower elevation than Caster, so that its name works.

Upon activating this Noble Phantasm, Caster becomes one with the flaming object that marked her death. She becomes a falling star herself, wreathed in flame, and launching at herself at a single opponent impossibly fast. It is a suicide gambit that extinguishes her own existence in an attempt to destroy the existence of a single opponent. Falling Star will kill any Servant for the most part, consuming a Servant in flames upon contact and destroying them utterly. It can only be avoided by AGI ranked A or prevented with a defensive Noble Phantasm of equal or greater rank than itself.

    Name: Matches Spark: Joyful Dream
    Rank: C
    Type: Anti-Unit
The eponymous matches of the Little Match Girl, given new form as reasonably powerful thaumaturgical implements. Caster can produce them essentially indefinitely using her Item Creation skill, so long as she is provided with sufficient prana. The matches light themselves by being in her right hand, and can be thrown or laid as traps. She can even send them flying at enemies, using their flames as thrust. They emit and explode with flames with attack power equivalent to Prana Burst: Flames at Rank E, but they can be upped to at most Rank C with sufficient prana output, though this will strain Caster. They work to enable her true Noble Phantasm as well.

As she lay dying in the cold, the Little Match Girl struck match after match, seeing joyous illusions and hallucinations as she did so, of everything she desired. By assembling thirty-two matches at once, the number she struck that night, she activates this Noble Phantasm. It traps a single opponent in an illusion, showing them their greatest desires achieved, and leaving them numb to the world. This Noble Phantasm, however, also prevents Caster from moving, as she has to channel it. It disables the opponent at the cost of disabling herself. Magic Resistance and Skills that prevent mental interference of equal rank or higher will negate this Noble Phantasm.

    Legend:
The Little Match Girl was a short story first published by Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen in 1845, depicting the death of a child living in poverty, and her dreams and hope even in her dying moments. The tale speaks of a little girl, with no mother and an abusive father, forced to sell matches in the streets on New Year's Eve. She begins to succumb to the cold and develops hypothermia. The girl is noticed by no one around her and lights matches in a desperate attempt to warm herself, but to no avail. The girl hallucinates a number of times, likely because of the hypothermia, and eventually sees a falling star, causing her to recall that her late grandmother, the only person to love her, had said it marked a person's passing.

The girl runs out of matches and dies with a contented smile on her face, her grandmother apparently having taken her to heaven. People finally notice her only after she has died. Over the years people have sought to give the girl happier endings, blind to the stark reality of the girl's situation. There was no specific basis for her, but people in similar situations suffer every day. She became a symbol of the world's pain that people turn a blind eye too, and her life was quietly extinguished just like a match, in the end.

    Class: Ruler
True Name: Alfred the Great, the King of Wessex, the King of the Saxons, the King of the Anglo-Saxons

    Spoiler:

    Alignment:
    Lawful Good
    Source: British Mythology and History

    STR: B
    MGI: A
    END: B LCK: A+
    AGI: B NP: B

    Class Skills:

    Magic Resistance: A
Cancel spells of A-Rank or below. In practice, the Servant is untouchable to modern magi, so it would not be an exaggeration to title the Servant a "Magus Killer". Ruler's current rank stems from his piety in life towards God.

    God's Resolution: A
The highest privilege for the Ruler class skill. Normally, Ruler-class Servants would possess two Command Spells for each Servant participating in the Holy Grail War.

    True Name Discernment: B
Status information such as the true identity, Skills and Parameters is automatically revealed when directly encountering the Servant. However, Servants with hiding capacity depends on their luck level to bypass this.

    Personal Skills:

    Charisma: B
A rare natural talent to command an army. Increases the ability of allies during group battles. Ruler's current rank is suitable for a king of a country.

    Weak Constitution: C
A weakness struck by the nature of frail health. Similar in nature to Innocent Monster, where the people's perspectives of future generations can affect the existence of the Heroic Spirit. Ruler has suffered from Crohn's Disease in life, and can suffer symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever and weight loss. There is a 50% chance that Ruler can suffer these symptoms with a check on his status every six hours of active movement, and should the disease strike, he will receive a rank drop in all his physical parameters that lasts for four hours. However, the chance that Ruler can suffer from the symptoms can be reduced by his current Luck statistic.

    Harp Performance: B
The capacity to perform harp music of a skillful level. Ruler once disguised himself as a minstrel and invaded an enemy camp, before playing charming music for the enemies and captivating them so much to the point that they believed the minstrel was their ally. In combination with his charming voice, Ruler was able to gather a vast amount of information about them. Ruler's Harp Performance is akin to a charming spell, able to convince foes that he is their ally, and in combination with his charming voice, can cast a form of hypnosis on them so that they will answer anything that Ruler wants. This effect will continue to last as long as Ruler is performing as well as for an additional thirty minutes after the performance ends. Once the effect wears off, those affected would still remember the beautiful songs they heard, but they would not remember who was playing them. They will remember if Ruler himself or someone who knows of this musical performance event tells the affected people that it was Ruler who was playing the music. Those with B-rank Magic Resistance can resist this to some degree, but longer performance lengths can overcome them, while those with A-rank Magic Resistance and above can absolutely resist them, although they will still have the feeling that Ruler is their ally and not their enemy.

    Librarian of Stored Knowledge: C
An ability that makes it possible for a clear recall of knowledge from memory with a successful Luck check, even if the information perceived in the past was not consciously acknowledged at the time. Ruler was a very intelligent and observant person who was focused on gathering knowledge and wisdom more so than for his combat prowess.

    Baptism Rite: B
A type of magecraft that changed style into a church form. It is effective on a spiritual body. Ruler has great proficiency in the Church Holy Sacraments due to his foreign relations with and training under the Roman Catholic Church, including Baptism Sacraments. At his current rank, Ruler's Baptism Sacraments also has some effect against spirits on the level of Servants.

    Noble Phantasms:

Alfredic Jewel: The Sight of God
    Rank: B
    Type: Anti-Unit (Self)

This jewel is 6.4 centimeters long and is made of filigreed gold, enclosing a highly polished piece of quartz crystal beneath which is set in a cloisonné enamel plaque. It has an enamelled image of a man holding floriate sceptres, personifying the Sight of God. It has an inscription in Old English that says 'Alfred ordered me to be made'. The jewel is currently embedded in the hilt of Ruler's European broadsword. Should Ruler hold the broadsword containing the jewel, it grants him a small portion of power regarding the Sight of God, such as the ability to see Revelations at an A-rank level, able to instantly understand any foreign concepts that is revealed to Ruler, and the possession of photographic memory; with this photographic memory, it improves Ruler's Librarian of Stored Knowledge rank to A, which is only usable in the events that Ruler has witnessed while holding the jewel. This Noble Phantasm is passive in nature, and therefore does not need to have its name called to use its effect. Holding onto it is enough to activate its effects.

    Doom Book: Judgement Code #120
    Rank: C+
    Type: Anti-Unit, Anti-Team

The Doom Book, also known as the Code of Alfred or the Legal Code of Alfred the Great, is a book containing the code of laws issued by Ruler back in life and consists of his own laws arranged into 120 chapters. It represents Ruler's law-giving as a form of absolute divine legislation as it is the exact same representation of God's gift of law to Moses in its power and given authority. These laws that Ruler had thought of were based on his meanings of the Christian Law. Prior to the activation of the Noble Phantasm, Ruler and one or more participants (no more than seven) can swear an oath or pledge upon this book by placing their hands over it. After swearing their oath and pledge, the Noble Phantasm immediately activates and binds all of the recipients of the oath or pledge with a divine power. For those who would break the oath or pledge, they shall receive a two rank drop in their Luck statistic and upon encountering Ruler after breaking from the oath or pledge, Ruler is able to order them an order or command that is comparable to the strength of a Command Spell through his divine authority. This order or command has to last for a short-term to an instant.

Ruler is also able to issue out an order or command to any person who has committed a crime either in his presence or through the testimony of three other people, the crime of which goes against any of the laws listed within the book. Through this method, Ruler calls out the name of his Noble Phantasm, and then he is able to give his order or command. This does not apply the rank drops to their Luck statistic. In the book, all crimes can be paid through money. In this case however, their payment is in the form of the completion of the order or command. The only crime that cannot be compensated is treachery to one's lord. This can be a person committing treachery to someone who is in charge of them, their Master, the leader of their faction, etc. In this case, Ruler is able to issue out an order or a command that has the most compulsion power comparable to a Command Spell issuing an instant order but with the duration of the entire Holy Grail War. Once the order or command is issued out, even the death of Ruler or the destruction of the Noble Phantasm cannot cancel the order or command. All orders and commands issued by Ruler can only be cancelled out by other Command Spells (with the exception of the most powerful order or command in response to one’s treachery) or through Ruler’s own words.

    Equipment and Other Abilities:

Ruler possesses a European broadsword that is forged with the materials of a Black Key and enforced with the Sacraments of the Church. In essence, the broadsword is simply another Black Key; however, it retains its sharpness in that it can cut through any being just like any other sword. As a sword that has the charms of a Black Key, it is able to inflict wounds on demons and vampires that are unable to be healed and has a strong effect against spirits of the evil alignment, including Servants. The Alfredic Jewel is embedded into the hilt of the broadsword.

    Snake Charmer

When forced into a situation in which she must fight, Assassin employs familiar snakes as her weapon of choice. Ordinary wild beasts are a matter of course, but she even has creatures classified as Phantasm Species under her command.

Incidentally, some would say that this Servant’s way of being – in which she seduces and manipulates men into working for her sake and never soils her own hands or puts herself on harm’s way, instead forcing all liabilities onto others – is very much like a treacherous snake.

    Nea Isis

A pseudonym used by this Servant, who once referred herself as the reincarnation of the Egyptian goddess Isis.

A widely revered deity since the times of Ancient Egypt, Isis was originally Earth Mother Goddess worshiped in the northern region of the Nile Delta. At first regarded as a goddess of fertility that represented the plentiful soil itself, she eventually gained other attributions as her cult became more popular.

With a name that stands for “throne”, Isis became regarded as a deification of royalty and kingship. In ancient times, the Pharaoh was said to be her child and had the right to sit in the throne of Egypt by her authority. Also along these lines, she was a guardian deity that safeguarded all souls of Egypt – nobles, commoners and even slaves alike – like a loving mother.

Finally, Isis was a goddess that wielded strong magic. Legend goes that she revived the Great God Osiris with her powers after his brother Seth killed him. Furthermore, she employed snakes as her familiars.

The technical skill to suppress one's presence as a Servant. In short, it is something like erasing one’s presence by thoroughly restraining the emission of prana coming from the Servant – who is a mass of prana. Although not perfect, she can suppress her presence as a Servant just enough to remain hidden.

Not only she is not a trained assassin, but also her usual modus operandi has keeping others’ attention on herself as a basic premise. Naturally, her rank in this Skill is extremely low. Still, when necessary, she can use her talents in manipulation to make people temporarily focus their senses elsewhere and then use the opportunity to hide in their blind spot (in simple terms, a temporary Rank UP can be achieved through a combination with the Skill Dialogue Techniques).

    if Caster...
    Territory Creation: C
The technical skill to build up an advantageous encampment to oneself as a magus. Thanks to this Skill that allows to create in the shortest time a Workshop that displays the very best effectiveness on any kind of terrain condition, Caster boasts the greatest advantage in regards to defensive fights among all Servants. At C Rank, if conditions are favorable, the creation of a “Workshop” is possible with some effort.

Since she is not a magus, originally Cleopatra shouldn’t have the capacity to create a Workshop. Thanks to being summoned under the Caster class, her abilities have been revised to become like this.

    Item Construction: -
This Skill has been lost as compensation for acquiring summoning powers by means of the Noble Phantasm.

    PERSONAL SKILLS

    Dialogue Techniques: A+
The Skill to smoothly spin words in order to manage human relationships in a favorable manner. Though mainly denotes the talent to persuade others diplomatically, it also implies the technique to deceive people through lies and half-truths. At the highest rank, her abilities reached the point where mere words have the same effect as suggestion and charm magecraft.

    Divinity: D
Whatever one has Divine Spirit aptitude. The higher the level more one is treated as a mixed race of a materialized Divine Spirit. Other than breaking Skills such as Protection of the Faith and Enlightenment of the Bodhi Tree, there is also an effect that reduces the special defensive value called “purge defense” in proportion to the Rank in this Skill.

In life, Cleopatra referred herself as a reincarnation of the goddess Isis. Of course that was a bluff, but at the same time it was not without basis. Actually she is a distant descendant of Divine Spirits and ended up inheriting part of that divinity due to certain circumstances.

    Familiar (Serpents): A
Can employ serpents as familiars. This is possible just by sending out her thoughts, without the need of a contract. Phantasm Species of up to Mythical Beast rank can be employed. Furthermore, at A Rank this Skill also combines the features of “Animal Dialogue”.

Despite not being a magus, she possesses a unique ability for employing serpents that is derived from her lineage.

    Self-Preservation: C
A talent for avoiding danger. In exchange for having nearly no fighting strength herself, she can escape from most crises so long her Master is safe.

    NOBLE PHANTASM

Aspis – Queen of the Nile
    Rank: A
    Type: Anti-Army
Assassin’s trump card. A special ability unique to Cleopatra. The anecdotes of the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death sublimated as a Noble Phantasm. According to legends, Cleopatra killed herself by allowing a poisonous snake to bit her. However, at the time she was held in complete isolation as a prisoner of the Roman army – it should have been impossible for a snake to find its way into her jail cell. Several theories appeared throughout the ages in attempts to explain this contradiction, including some preposterous ones where Cleopatra herself summoned the snake out of thin air.

Just by saying a word, a summoning ritual will be instantly carried out to call forth all sorts of serpents. So long it falls into the concept of “serpent”, any sort of creature can be summoned – be a natural animal or a member of the Phantasm Species. Although somewhat forceful, members of the Dragon Kind may also apply to this.

As far as Phantasm Species go, members of all ranks may be summoned. However, what she can actually control are those up to Mythical Beast level. Also, members of the Dragon Kind are a separate case altogether.

This is a digression, but “aspis” is an ancient name for the species of snake known today as the Egyptian cobra. Making their dwelling on the riverside of the Nile Delta, since the times of Ancient Egypt they were regarded as having a strong connection with that river. Despite being an object of fear due to their deadly poison, they were also once regarded as patron spirits of good harvests due to their habits of preying on rats and other pests that destroyed crops.

Furthermore, this snake is seen as one of the incarnations of the goddess Wadjet, who was once regarded as the Guardian Deity of Lower Egypt. After the unification of Egypt, Wadjet became associated with the goddess Isis due to their similar profiles – either as a subordinate god or as a facet of Isis herself. Likewise, Wadjet’s holy beast – the Egyptian cobra – became a symbol of the Pharaoh’s sovereignty.

    Background
    BACKGROUND

Cleopatra VII. The young daughter and most famous member of the Lagidae – the royal house of Macedonian roots that came to power in Egypt after the death of Alexander the Great, ruling for centuries as the Ptolemaic dynasty. Born in Alexandria on the year 69 BC, she is regarded as the last true pharaoh of Egypt.

Around the time Cleopatra first came to power, Egypt was in a state of chaos and economic failure due to the misadministration from a succession of corrupt monarchs. With the sudden death of her father, king Ptolemy XII, the nation saw itself without a leader in a time of crisis. His heir, Ptolemy XIII, was still a child then and couldn’t possibly take office. Thus, it was decided that princess Cleopatra, who was 18 years old then, would rule until the prince was of age.

Cleopatra spent the next years repairing the damage caused by her predecessors. Droughts. Famines. Clashes of political parties. Popular revolts. All of these were problems that she had to deal on a regular basis. So, when her brother showed signs of becoming the same sort of rotten man as the previous kings, she sought to keep him away of the throne so that all her work would not be undone. This served to sparkle an ugly dispute of power between the two.

In the end, what settled this conflict was outside interference.

The year was 48 BC. The internal strife of the Egyptian royal family was reaching its boiling point. Roughly at the same time, on the other side of the Mediterranean Sea, the Roman Civil War was also at its climax. The forces of the Populares lead by Julius Caesar achieved a decisive victory over the troops loyal to the Roman Senate stationed in the Italian Peninsula, forcing its leaders into exile. Among those, the General Gnaeus Pompeius was included.

Upon leaving Rome, Pompey sought refuge in Egypt. Hoping to gain the favor of Caesar, who had became the de facto ruler of Rome, Ptolemy captured and killed Pompey. However, the scheme backfired. Prior to the Civil War, Caesar had been good friends with Pompey and hoped to reconcile with him after everything was over. So, rather than falling into his good graces, Ptolemy’s stunt simply incurred the wrath of the Roman dictator instead.

Seeing an opportunity to capitalize her brother’s blunder, Cleopatra met with Caesar in hopes of bringing the Roman as an ally to her cause. Things went better than she expected: Caesar fell in love with her at first sight. With his unconditional support, Cleopatra was not only able to secure the Egyptian throne for herself but also gained the military support necessary to ensure the welfare of her nation.

    Cleopatra and Mark Anthony

Unlike most of the other members of the Ptolemaic dynasty, who stubbornly held on to their Macedonian origins, Cleopatra felt great affinity with the Egyptian people and sought to be like them. She learned their language and culture. At one point, she even identified herself with Isis, Egypt’s Guardian Deity and the great ancestor of the Pharaoh royal line.

There is an underling reason behind this.

Around the time of Cleopatra’s birth, the Egypt was facing a desperate situation. The misconduct of the foreign ruling class had driven the nation to the brink of collapse. If left to their own devices, they might very well destroy the country. Knowing this, the people began to pray for the advent of a patriotic hero that would save the country and return it to the hands of a native Egyptian ruler that could guide it to prosperity once more.

In parallel, although not recorded in the pages of history, Cleopatra’s mother was in fact of Egyptian descent. A princess from a traditional clan of priests, through her influence Cleopatra was educated in the ancient ways of Egypt. Also, her bloodline could trace its ancestry to a Egyptian Divine Spirit that walked among men in the distant past.

While Cleopatra was still in the womb, the prayers of the Egyptian people reached her as a type of religious faith. Her blood as a god reacted to that, causing her to acquire some measure of divinity through atavism. Thus, Cleopatra was brought into this world as a convenient hero (tool) that could make the dreams of the Egyptian people come true.

Cleopatra fulfilled that role splendidly at first. Having gotten hold of the throne and securing the patronage of Rome, Cleopatra was able to solve many of the problems that afflicted the nation. From then on, it was just a matter of time before Egypt once again grew into a strong and independent kingdom.

However, Caesar died before the necessary time came to pass. Believing that it was still too soon to lose the support of Rome, Cleopatra sought someone that could take his place. Eventually she decided to target General Marcus Antonius, who she believed would become the next person of influence within Roman politics.

Now, even during her lifetime, Cleopatra was known as a peerless beauty. Possessing a lovely features and a voice as sweet as birdsongs, few were the men who could resist her charms. Back when she first met Caesar, Cleopatra was still something of an innocent, immature girl. By the time she her eyes were set on Mark Anthony however, not only she was at an age when feminine charms were at their peak, but she had also mastered alluring dialogue techniques to could easily entrap people. Thus, Cleopatra was convinced that she could seduce Anthony.

She was correct, of course… there was just one small miscalculation: she never expected to fall in love with him in return.

From then on, Cleopatra began to go astray. The future of Egypt became secondary. Rather than fulfilling the role (destiny) set for her at birth, she chose to stay beside the man she loved, sharing the same downfall (fate) as him.

When Mark Anthony went to war against Augustus over supremacy in Roman politics, Cleopatra stood by his side. Even when his defeat became certain, she did not abandon him. Then, when news of his death in battle reached her ears, she killed herself in order to follow him into the afterlife.

    Class:
    Caster

    STR: D
    END: D
    AGI: C
    MGI: A+
    LCK: B

    Class Skills

Territory Creation (A): Creation of a Temple becomes possible. Caster's domain in life included both the luxury of palace
life and the destitution of the jungle, so she can adjust to almost any environment.

Item Construction (B): Capable of creating various shamanistic implements.

    Personal Skills

Innocent Monster (EX): A monstrous reputation that was thrust upon Caster, that of a demonic witch. Using her
Noble Phantasm allows her to transform and access her dark powers, so much so that her very existence is rewritten
    as that of a demon.

Charisma (B-): Caster was respected, revered and feared by the Balinese people during her time as queen.
However, the effectiveness of this skill drops when she uses her Noble Phantasm.

Protection of the Faith (B): Caster was known for her devotion to Durga, the Hindu goddess of victory. This skills allows
Caster to cancel the effects of mental interference up to an equivalent rank.

    Noble Phantasms

Rangda~Visage of the Demon Witch (A, Anti-Unit (Self))

A fanged and goggle-eyed mask that Caster wore after the identity of the demonic witch Rangda was forced upon her.
By donning the mask, Rangda's existence sublimates Caster's and transforms her into a creature more analogous to a
demon. Since demons do not possess magic circuits, but rather all their vital functions are mechanisms to release
prana and perform magecraft, Caster's powers become naturally superior to any mortal, barring users of True Magic.
This allows her to remain materialized while being supplied with only the bare minimum of prana from her Master.
By demonizing herself, in addition to her vastly amplified magical power, Caster gains the ability to summon and
command demons and undead to fight for her as familiars and take control of others via possession.

Calon Arang~Scourge of Bali (B+, Magecraft)

A large spellbook worn on Caster's waist. It is normally blank, but simply turning to a random page causes writing to
appear and provide incantations for any spell Caster desires to cast. The only restriction is that the spell or ritual
must be demonic or dark in nature, since the knowledge necessary to make the spells appear in the book come from the
memories of the demon Rangda. Using these spells Caster is capable of releasing highly virulent plagues and powerful curses,
as well as performing necromancy and witchcraft. Boosted by her demonic mask, Caster can cast powerful rituals in seconds
with no fear of exhausting her prana supply.

    Background
Mahendradatta was the queen of Bali in the 10th century CE. She was a Javanese princess who became queen consort and
later queen regnant. When she attempted to elevate her own sons above her stepsons to next in line for the throne,
a conspiracy to discredit her led to her being accused of practicing black magic. From that day on, she adopted the
identity of the great demon queen of the Balinese jungle, Rangda. Hurt and humiliated, she sought revenge upon her
ex-husband's court and the whole of his kingdom. She summoned all the evil spirits in the jungle, the leyaks and the
demons that caused plague and death in the kingdom. She proceeded to take her revenge by killing off half the kingdom
with plague before being overcome by a holy man.

    Thank you Seika!

To add onto that, King Henry VI was trying to officially make Alfred a saint 500 years later, but that didn't work out. Regardless, in the eyes of some, he is indeed a saint.

Rangda? I like her. Although most of everything I know about her comes from either SMT or the thing Rejected Princesses did on her a few weeks ago.
