Actually, The Matter of France doesn't exist in a bubble since a lot of the authors let say lack of knowledge of certain cultures paints a wide range of characters in weird lights especially the Saracens. Like , Charlie's and Roland's main enemy in the first rendition of the Matter of France is a Saracen King by the name of Argamante, in which the king was supposedly take over Spain from Charlie when Charlie is away. Like I read that part it bare a striking resemblance of the Andalusian Sultan Abd Al Rahman. With the whole thing in Extella Link. I wonder how does it translate to this chapter like this is some complicated form of Innocent Monster

(Remember on an old Round Table interview between Higashide and Sakurai about the Fragments servants, Sakurai said Higashide was the one that came up with the idea to split them into two characters and was working on it when he suggested Sakurai to use Bryn on Fragments so she ended in charge of the Norse-adjacent characters, while Higashide kept the German-side characters. Now if it turns out to be Kriem, Siegfried will get more exposure the same way Bryn did, and the two side of the myth could finally reference each other through them.

Its one of the interesting things of reallllllly old epics is the contrast of fantasy and historical places due to knowledge of far off places being incredibly hard to come by, or different conceptions of the world itself back then.

Now that I think about it, maybe Traum is Shinjuku 2, given we're seemingly getting Holmes content. Hard to say for sure, but Area 51 might end up being Agartha 2 with Fuyuki as the finale.

Tunguska's execution wasn't done very well, just like Agartha. It tells a complete story, but feels lacking.

I obviously haven't read it yet, but I expect to enjoy half of it, but inevitably be disappointed by Sakurai failing to utilize the entire cast despite having an incredibly tiny hero group that realistically shouldn't even be enough to beat the massively OP antagonist.

Honestly, both of these are true:

1. Sakurai is probably the second-worst regular writer, maybe even the worst considering Minase’s improvements as of LB4

2. Sakurai gets an unfair amount of hate due to being the only female writer on staff, ironically mirroring the praise Wada gets for being the most prolific female artist by far—Sakurai’s arguable incorporation of otome elements in Ophelia’s plot in LB2, as well as the constant appearances of Dantès (“your husband!”), makes “dudes” feel less comfortable and assured in their role as The Only Audience, in the exact opposite way that Wada’s woman-on-woman sexual obsessions (“my greatest desire—Melt’s butt” and the scrapped pregnant Kiara FA art) make male players feel safer and more justified in their own perverse lusts
