    Class: Rider
    Other Classes: Caster, Alter-Ego
    True Name: Lucian
Epithet: The Lover of Lies, “Father of Science Fiction”
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
    Place of Origin: Samasota

    Parameters:
    STR: E
    END: E
    AGI: D
    MGI: C++
    LCK: EX
    NP: A

    Class Skills:
    Enchant: A-
Enchant is the Skill to endow concepts to items.

Lucian is able to add powerful functions to other people’s important items. Basically an ability which strengthens the Master’s fighting abilities. Though, unfortunately, given Lucian’s personality it is far more likely that he’ll end up creating something fabulously useless. Or rather, the function added will be “something only Lucian could think of”.

    Riding: A+
Riding is a Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding.

All vehicles and all creatures up to the level of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast can be used as mounts. However, that does not apply to members of the Dragon Kind. Allows for the proper use of the Monstrous Beast Griffin as Lucian’s mount...but that’s not actually a griffin, is it? A skill a Syrian satirist should have no business possessing, and yet does. No questions, please.

    Personal Skills:
    Double Summon: B
Double Summon is a rare Personal Skill possessed only by a few select Servants, it permits a Servant to simultaneously possess Class Skills from two distinct classes. It is limited only to some of the extra classes, the cavalry classes, and 'modern classes' like Gunner.

Rider possesses Class Skills from both the Rider and Caster classes.

Voyager of the Stars (False): EX
“About noon, when the island was no longer in sight, a whirlwind suddenly arose, spun the boat about, raised her into the air about three hundred furlongs and did not let her down into the sea again; but while she was hung up aloft a wind struck her sails and drove her ahead with bellying canvas. For seven days and seven nights we sailed the air, and on the eighth day we saw a great country in it, resembling an island, bright and round and shining with a great light. Running in there and anchoring, we went ashore, and on investigating found that the land was inhabited and cultivated. By day nothing was in sight from the place, but as night came on we began to see many other islands hard by, some larger, some smaller, and they were like fire in colour. We also saw another country below, with cities in it and rivers and seas and forests and mountains. This we inferred to be our own world.”

A corrupted, “glitch” Skill fusing Voyager of the Storm and Pioneer of the Stars at the listed level together in a terribly Lucian-like way. “Nobody likes a Heroic Spirit with five Personal Skills, right?” The metaphysical crystallization of Lucian’s primary work: A True Story.

Derived from his existence as “the first human to exit the confines of Earth” and “the first human to set foot on an outside world” successfully, almost a full 2000 years before a certain American astronaut. Because he made this impossible voyage in an actual ship, he is also technically the possessor of the world’s first “spacecraft”. Of course, it’s entirely a fabrication.

Any voyage of any level of difficulty, be it through unknown terrain or through a magical storm, can be overcome at the conceptual level so long as no one asks too many serious questions about the nature of the voyage’s success. Many people in stories and legends have withstood similar hardships while adventuring, so of course mine will be no different.

    Mystic Eyes: -
A description of (one of) the curious phenomena surrounding the inhabitants of the Moon, and a structure within the Moon country, respectively.

“I am reluctant to tell you what sort of eyes they have, for fear that you may think me lying on account of the incredibility of the story, but I will tell you, notwithstanding. The eyes that they have are removable, and whenever they wish they take them out and put them away until they want to see: then they put them in and look. Many, on losing their own, borrow other people's to see with, and the rich folk keep a quantity stored up...A large looking-glass is fixed above a well, which is not very deep. If a man goes down into the well, he hears everything that is said among us on earth, and if he looks into the looking-glass he sees every city and every country just as if he were standing over it. When I tried it I saw my family and my whole native land, but I cannot go further and say for certain whether they also saw me.”

A pair of Mystic Eyes with their origin among the inhabitants of the Moon, given as a gift to Lucian along with many other treasures by Endymion, King of the Moon, after the conclusion of the war between the Moon and the Sun. Though all of the other presents were lost when Lucian was swallowed by an enormous whale, the eyes were transferred into Lucian’s head successfully.

They are “eyes that see the truth of the world”. At a fundamental level, the eyes provided by Endymion were of a mass-produced type model on the Moon, and therefore would possess limited mystical quality when situated inside someone on Earth. The main ability of the eyes is to connect to the main looking-glass terminus on the Moon, allowing Lucian to technically view the entire planet at once, with enhancement and “zoom” options similar to a satellite. Expanding on this already impressive ability is Lucian’s “technique” of looking at things: Human Observation, in other words. Ridiculously large areas can be scrutinized in minute detail, however it leaves Lucian at his most vulnerable to do so, not to mention the cost in mana.

Rather, there’s no actual proof that his eyes do what he says they do. He simply closes his eyes and declares that he is logging in to the Moon. There is a high likelihood that he is simply conducting super-deduction based on nothing more than assumptions, but his eyes do seem to change color...

    The Lover of Lies: A
“What is it that makes most men so fond of a lie? Can you explain it? Their delight in romancing themselves is only equalled by the earnest attention with which they receive other people's efforts in the same direction”.

A Skill derived from another of Lucian’s famous works, The Liar. Embodying Lucian’s satire and skepticism towards all things spiritual, he disregarded all manner of supernatural instances as mere fantasy and lies. Ghosts, demons, gods, and everything in between had no sway over Lucian’s opinion during his life. He even went so far as to personally help destabilize a mystery cult by outing its founder as a sham, an event found in Lucian’s work: The Syrian Goddess. Provides modifiers against those with Divinity and generally higher mystery, but is useless against modern Heroic Spirits of science. Comparable to Tanka Fubu-Innovation.

    Noble Phantasm(s): (Warning: big)

    Phantasmal Lunar Steed
    Ἱππόγυποι

    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: A
    Range: 2-50
    Max Targets: 5

“We determined to go still further inland, but we met what they call the Vulture Dragoons, and were arrested. These are men riding on large vultures and using the birds for horses. The vultures are large and for the most part have three heads: you can judge of their size from the fact that the mast of a large merchantman is not so long or so thick as the smallest of the quills they have...If you wish, then, you may take part with me in the expedition and I will give each of you one of my royal vultures and a complete outfit. We shall take the field to-morrow." "Very well," said I, "since you think it best."

A royal creature native to the Moon of A True Story, ridden by the very best of King Endymion’s men. Many kinds of odd and strange animals are used as mounts on the Moon and on the Sun, a fact stemming from the Moon’s apparent use of living organisms in place of Earthly technology: the vulture functioning as the Moon’s biological star fighters.

The “vulture” as Lucian calls it is in fact a griffin: a Monstrous Species from Earth. However, because the griffin originates from out of this world, and is just as much a figment of Lucian’s lies as everything else, it has been ranked up to a Phantasmal Beast. An “impossible existence” as one born on the surface of the Moon and capable of interstellar flight, the griffin’s ridiculously enormous body alone is enough to question its valid existence. The griffin, as the world’s first “star destroyer” found in fiction, has accumulated concepts of science fiction that it expresses naturally through its body. A few such concepts are VTOL and gravity rejection, to even firing moonlight from its mouths in the form of lasers. The griffin even has a warp core, but Lucian says he doesn’t know how to activate its FTL mode.

Certainly, The Truest Story Ever Told
    Ἀληθῆ διηγήματα

    Type: Anti-Unit (Self)
    Rank: E~B+
    Range: 1
    Max Targets: 1

The crystallization not of the plot of Lucian’s magnum opus A True Story, but rather the core of Lucian’s life and ideals summed up in a single text. The rejection of all things supernatural as lunacy, the simple fact that belief in these stories makes them just as real as written history, if not more so. A man with a mission to destroy the work of liars, as a self-described liar himself. “I am a liar, therefore everything I say is true” is the only motto that can be accurately applied to him. This is the paradox that is contained within Lucian’s body, mind, and soul.

A self-manipulation Noble Phantasm that extends beyond mere Self-Suggestion, Innocent Monster, or any skill of the like. Lucian’s Saint Graph itself is freely malleable under his own power--to a point--as “Lucian” has no true history of self that wasn’t written by his own hand. Lucian might just be a collective pseudonym, or one used by a single author to secretly address his displeasure with Roman society; an “alter-ego of himself”. As an unreliable narrator, everything Lucian asserts about himself is both true and false at the same time, tricking the Throne into adapting its record and modifying Lucian’s history and abilities based on whatever previous lie he uttered about his own life.

As the Throne obviously missed the satirical point of A True Story and recorded it as fact, Lucian sees nothing wrong with exploiting his own lies. However, given his personality, he is extremely unlikely to suddenly give himself the history of a superhero in order to ensure victory.

    Lore:
Lucian of Samosata (c. 125 – after 180 AD) was a Syrian satirist and rhetorician who is best known for his characteristic tongue-in-cheek style, with which he frequently ridiculed superstition, religious practices, and belief in the paranormal. Although his native language was probably Syriac, all of his extant works are written entirely in Ancient Greek (mostly in the Atticized dialect popular during the Second Sophistic period).

Everything that is known about Lucian's life comes from his own writings, which are often difficult to interpret because of his extensive use of sarcasm. According to his oration The Dream, he was the son of a lower middle class family from the village of Samosata along the banks of the Euphrates in the remote Roman province of Syria. As a young man, he was apprenticed to his uncle to become a sculptor, but, after a failed attempt at sculpting, he ran away to pursue an education in Ionia. He may have become a travelling lecturer and visited universities throughout the Roman Empire. After acquiring fame and wealth through his teaching, Lucian finally settled down in Athens for a decade, during which he wrote most of his extant works. In his old age, he may have been appointed as a highly-paid government official in Egypt, after which point he disappears from the historical record.

Lucian's works were wildly popular in antiquity, and more than eighty writings attributed to him have survived to the present day, a considerably higher quantity than for most other classical writers. His most famous work is A True Story, a tongue-in-cheek satire against authors who tell incredible tales, which is regarded by some as the earliest known work of science fiction. Lucian invented the genre of the comic dialogue, a parody of the traditional Platonic dialogue. His dialogue The Lover of Lies makes fun of people who believe in the supernatural and contains the oldest known version of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". Lucian wrote numerous satires making fun of traditional stories about the gods including The Dialogues of the Gods, Icaromenippus, Zeus Rants, Zeus Catechized, and The Parliament of the Gods. His Dialogues of the Dead focuses on the Cynic philosophers Diogenes and Menippus. Philosophies for Sale and The Banquet or Lapiths make fun of various philosophical schools, and The Fisherman or the Dead Come to Life is a defense of this mockery.

Lucian often ridicules public figures, such as the Cynic philosopher Peregrinus Proteus in his letter The Passing of Peregrinus and the fraudulent oracle Alexander of Abonoteichus in his treatise Alexander the False Prophet. Lucian's treatise On the Syrian Goddess satirizes cultural distinctions between Greeks and Syrians and is the main source of information about the cult of Atargatis. Lucian had an enormous, wide-ranging impact on Western literature. Works inspired by his writings include Sir Thomas More's Utopia, the works of François Rabelais, William Shakespeare's Timon of Athens and Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels.

    Creator Notes:
Slowly working through my backlog I think I posted a few pages back. What started out as a Caster-in-a-different-Class challenge became something else, I guess you could call it a comment(?) on the trend of meme Servants that started with Astolfo and Liz and continued into FGO. Whether or not it was successful is another thing. Thank you for reading.

That's a really good Lucian sheet. Reminds me a bit of my idea for a hybrid Impey Barbicane/George Melies Servant, with a similar false Pioneer Skill to represent their fictional voyages to the moon.

    Berserker
    Tiamat

    STR: B
    END: A+
    AGI: E
    MAG: A+
    LUCK: E
    NP: n/a
    Alignment: Chaotic Evil

    Class Skills

    Mad Enhancement (A+):
The Class Skill that characterizes a Berserker, raising basic parameters and strengthens one's physical abilities in exchange of hindering mental capacities and/or in exchange for their sense of reason. In some cases, it also affects and/or seals away some techniques, Personal Skills and Noble Phantasms. At this rank, reason is almost entirely robbed, and the Servant operates more or less purely by instinct.

Authority of the Beast (D): Class Skill of the Beast Class. Even though she has been summoned outside this class, Tiamat still possesses this ability. Holds an Authority over all things born from a mother's womb. Though this would normally protect against all damage from said sources, in this weaker state it merely reduces the parameters of enemy Servants. Those not 'born' in a conventional sense are unaffected. Equal to a B rank in the Counter Hero skill.

Independent Manifestation (E): A special Skill that permits unsupported manifestation into reality, without necessity of energy cost or of summoning by a Master; effectively, the Skill serves as an enhanced version of Independent Action. Being that the skillholder is signified as a confirmed existence, the bearer gains a resistance towards instant-death effect attacks and attacks affected by time manipulation. Sealed away due to Berserker's circumstances, however she still possesses a resistance to instant death.

    Personal Skills

    Imaginary Numbers (EX):
A modification of Tiamat's Sea of Life skill, altered and constrained by combining itself with the magical abilities of her vessel. The ability to create a field of curses using the Hollow element that spreads outwards from Berserker's feet, a hole that swallows, curses, melts down, and births monsters, akin to a Reality Marble, a bounded field that replaces the world outside with the Sea of Life. It resembles a sea of churning mud that flows over the ground, consuming and rebirthing living creatures that fall into it. Normally, the Sea would also considered to be part of Tiamat's body, however since she has been summoned in a human vessel, this aspect has been sealed, and it is instead a Bounded Field that she projects. As such, destroying the main body will end the spell. While Berserker can perform teleportation whilst standing in the mud, instantly transporting herself to a separate location so long as it is also covered by the Sea. She can also retreat into Imaginary Number Space to protect herself whilst in the Sea. While such high level magecraft would require insane amounts of mana to cast and maintain, Berserker can dissolve the bodies and souls of those who fall into the sea and use them as a fuel source.

Monstrous Strength (A): A Skill that temporarily grants a rank-up to one's Strength parameter for a time limit determined by the ranking of this Skill. This Skill is borne from the holder's nature as a monster or Demonic Beast. Originally holding the rank of A++, Berserker's rank in this skill has been reduced. Even then, it is the upper limit of strength a human body can produce, and fully exerting herself will cause massive recoil damage to her body and corrode her saint graph. Therefore, this skill has been sealed away for now.

Self-Modification (B): The aptitude to remold one's own body or merge one's own flesh with body parts of others. The higher the ranking in this Skill, the further away one is from being a proper hero. Originally the skill allowed Tiamat to grow and alter her Saint Graph with the Sea of Life. Like all of her abilities, it has been restricted by her human vessel. Berserker can project a Shadow in place of her body, a curse empowered by her Imaginary Numbers that can move at high speeds and attack with swift and lethal force. As it is a shadow, attacking it useless, and it must be dealt with by destroying the object that casts it.

    Noble Phantasm

    Nammu Duranki
Child, Abide by the Laws of Creation

Unranked: Originally, the Beast Tiamat did not possess a Noble Phantasm, however, as part of her saint graph modification into a Pseudo-Servant, one 'pseudo Noble Phantasm' was created in order to help stabilize it. The ability of Tiamat's Sea of Life to birth all sorts of fantastical creatures and reshape existing ones. By corrupting and twisting the Saint Graphs of enemy Servants that fall into the Sea, Tiamat is able to reshape them into her own
    children
    Servants
, the monsters she birthed into creation during her final battle against the gods. The beasts are practically Servants in their own right, though Tiamat is unable to summon all of them under normal circumstances, even just one or two pose a fairly immense threat. It goes without saying that the magical energy required to maintain her children is immense on top of the mana required to maintain the Sea of Life, and though they can consume living things to fuel themselves somewhat, even just one of them being present is a terrible burden for Berserker's Master. Despite their destructive nature, the beasts can also serve as fierce and devoted guardians, and if assigned to protect something they will do so with bloody fervour.

Basmu: The venomous serpent: a giant snake with two clawed forelegs, and poisonous breath and blood. Its breath is so potent that it merely opening its mouth spells death for almost all living things under normal circumstances.
Usumgallu: The great dragon: a dragon shaped like a lion with eight legs and giant wings
Musmahhu: The exalted snake: a monstrous serpent similar to the Hydra, with seven heads
Mushussu: The furious serpent: a scaled beast with hind legs resembling the talons of an eagle, lion-like forelimbs, a long neck and tail, a horned head, a snake-like tongue, and a crest.
Lahmu: The hairy one: Twisted black insect-like monsters formed from normal humans consumed by the sea of life. Also exist as Bel-lahmu, which have wings.
Ugallu: The storm beast: A storm demon with a lion's head and bird's feet
Uridimmu: The howling hound: A giant dog that stands upright with a human's face, wielding crescent-shaped spears.
Girtablulu: The scorpion man: A creature with the head and torso of a human and the lower body and stinging tail of a scorpion. Like his brother Basmu, he is intensely venomous.
Umu-dabrutu: The violent storm: A formless creature that attacks relentlessly with a huge amount of weapons, who will never retreat or surrender.
Kulullu: The fish man: A merman who lurks in the Sea of Life and attacks with powerful magic
Kusarikku: The bull man: A 'reverse minotaur', with the head of a human and the body of a bull.

    Lore
The Second Beast, the Beast of Regression. An Earth Mother Goddess, a primordial deity from Ancient Mesopotamia, the goddess of salt water who lived in the sea, born from the Sea of Beginning alongside her mate, Abzu. After birthing the gods, they turned against her and Abzu, and despite Tiamat giving birth to eleven monsters to fight the gods for her, she was torn apart and her body used to create the heavens and Earth. So the legends go. However, Tiamat was not killed and had been sealed in the sea of imaginary numbers, beyond even the Underworld.

However, this was not the end of her story. During the incident when the Human Order was incinerated, Tiamat schemed to return from her banishment, and managed to manifest in the ancient city of Uruk as one of the Evils of Humanity: Beast II. Despite going on a rampage, she was defeated and finally killed for real.

As not only a goddess, but one of the primordial gods and the originator of life on Earth, it goes without saying that Tiamat is far beyond any summoning capacity in the modern era. However due to unclear reasons, she has elected to help defend humanity - her children - and has co-opted a body that is capable of containing even just a small fraction of her power, Makiri's Black Holy Grail, an existence that both hates and loves as she does, who yearns for the things she loves, but also resents and despises them.

The effect that Sakura's personality has on Tiamat is hard to gauge, since she as she is unable to speak it's hard to get a read on her unaltered personality. It can be assumed that she no longer wished to consume and destroy anything. For Sakura, who wished to birth a child, albeit an evil one into the world, it can be assumed she revels in the thought of joining with the mother of all.

Sans the part about being an amalgam of nature spirits, but the fundamental principle is there.

    Love it.

    Campaigning for Local Office

“Alright now stay with me for one more minute everyone. You see we have a problem, you see the way this city is treating people like us, the disabled, the mentally ill, the poor, it is a complete front to common human decency!” Archer shouted to the crows that had gathered for his speech.

“I know that I am new to this fair city of ours but I still feel connected to all of you!” The crowd cheered. “I feel your pain and your discontent with how the people in charge are treating you! Now when elections for mayor start next month I want all of you to remember, remember my words here and that I am here to serve you! Vote Archer, vote for tomorrow!” The crowd cheered as Archer rolled off the stage to Barry his summoner.

“I still think this is a h-horrible idea.” Barry said as they got in the car driven by his man servant Edwin. “You’re b-basically announcing to all our enemies exactly where you are. P-plus you’re making plans for the future when we don’t e-even know if we’ll w-win the Holy Grail.”

Archer’s fist shot out and hit Barry right in the nose breaking it and causing it to gush blood. “Shut the hell up! If you even think about the possibility of me losing I won’t just break your nose!” Edwin looked back from the drivers seat. “Stay in your lane Edwin!” The driver turned back to the road. “Now why don’t you try saying that again?”

“I-it’s amazing the way you can plan ahead Archer. B-because you know you will w-win the w-war you can plan ahead like this; a-and with the publicity the other servants will flock right to us!”

Archer smiled and grabbed a handkerchief to clean off the blood. “Better but not there yet. By keeping in the public eye as long as those other idiot masters want to keep up the masquerade we can avoid any sneak attacks. This is obviously the perfect strategy.” Archer began laughing before the car suddenly stoping caused him to hit his head on the front set.

    “The hell Edwin!”

“Sorry for disturbing you sirs but I’m afraid that the so called perfect strategy may be about to fall apart.” He pointed ahead on the road at a figure standing there. It was obviously a servant, a woman standing tall with a large silver spear and wearing white armor.

Archer grinned. “Still according to plan Edwin. We were never going to get out of this without getting our hands dirty.” He put one hand on the van door and pushed sending it flying. He leaned to the side and flipped him and his chair out of the car. He kept himself from hitting the ground with one arm then pushed sending him into the air and he landed in front of the car facing the servant. The car then pulled into reverse and drove away.

    “Lancer then?” Archer asked.

Lancer rolled her arm and grinned. “And you’re Archer. Loved that little speech of yours. Definitely going to vote for you next month. Or at least I would if you weren’t going to fade away in the next few minutes.”

“Funny gal aren’t you.” Archer said. “But I’m afraid no one is walking away from this battle, but I will wheel.”

Lancer began to laugh then suddenly threw her spear right at Archer’s chest but Archer managed to catch it in one hand. “Is that the best you can-“

“Athibar!” The spear suddenly flew back towards Lancer pulling Archer with it. Lancer moved in to land a punch on Archer’s head but he let go of the spear locked up one of the wheels on his wheelchair at the last moment causing him to spin in a circle dodging the punch and building momentum for a punch right to Lancer’s chest.

That punch was blocked by the haft of Lancer’s spear. “How rough, you sure you aren’t a berserker?”

“Ask nicely and maybe I’ll show you what me as a berserker really looks like.” And he spun his wheels backwards to get away from the servant. He summoned his regular bow. “That was a neat trick though, a retractable spear. What else do you have?”

“Ask nicely and maybe I’ll show you.” Lancer said.

“Cute.” Archer nocked and fired a few arrows which Lancer casually knocked behind her with her spear. “Well you managed to deflect the fist round, but what are you going to do when they come back?”

Lancer gasped and turned around spear at the ready only to see the arrows laying on the ground. “Gah!” She coughed up some blood as about half a dozen arrows embedded themselves in her back. She turned to Archer with a glare and flexed causing the arrows to fall out of her. “Not going to lie I was pretty sure you were a man of honor.”

“Come on, all is fair in love and war. Besides honor is for chumps, all that matters is that you got the result you wanted and left everyone else frustrated they didn’t see it. coming.”

Lancer simply pointed her spear at Archer. “Ibar.” The spear shot our on its own and shot at Archer. He dematerialized his bow and then used his wheelchair to jump up avoiding the spear only to have it curve towards him. “Target seeking, well that sucks.” He leaned back so the bottom of the wheelchair was facing the spear and pushed causing the two to collide while he flew off farther up. Of course the spear tore through the chair instantly but Archer had gotten the space he needed.

He summoned his Noble Phantasm’s base form, a giant bow the size of a tree, longer than he was tall twice over. With great effort he pulled back the string and a beam of energy appeared as an arrow. The size of the bow was so much that he could not draw it the normal way but instead had to pull his back arm so he was in a T-pose. The spear was drawing closer but the bow had already been drawn. He released and the immense energy arrow collided with the spear sending to flying off course.

“Athibar!” The spear returned to Lancer and Archer landed on the ground.

“Wow that is one impressive spear. I was hoping to hold back so I could brag about only using fifty percent of my power when I kill you but I guess you forced it out of me. Time to upgrade.” From underneath him a spiritual being began to form lifting him up. When he was done he was sitting on top a horse. “I love the wheelchairs of the modern era but sometimes I need both hands to choke the life out of my enemy!”

Lancer scowled. “Alright if we aren’t holding back then.” She shifted her stance and held her arm behind her head ready for a spear throw. “True Name Release! Gae!”

Archer began to pull back his giant bow again. “Sibilja!”

The magical energy surrounding the two was growing to epic proportions. Archer knew from the feeling he was getting that the spear in front of him was a divine construct one of the highest class of Noble Phantasms, but that wouldn’t matter a bit when Lancer was blinded.

    "Ass-"

    “Bai-

“Archer I order you with a C-Command Seal! R-Return at once!”

The powerful magic of the command seal suddenly pulled on Archer sending him hurtling through space instantaneously so he was right in front of Barry and Edwin. “The fuck you worthless master I was just about to kill Lancer!”

Barry simply pointed in behind Archer and he turned seeing the giant truck sized alligator snarling at him and the dark skinned servant standing on top of it.

    “Uh, hi.”

    Mad Enchantment(False)
    Rank: A
Rank up for all parameters, but most of one's reason is robbed. As a literal berserker warrior Ivar can don an animal pelt that channels nature spirits into him to replicate the bonuses and detriments of Mad Enhancement but the state will wear off after an hour.

    Charisma
    Rank: B
Having B Rank in this Skill is sufficient to lead a nation as its King/Queen. The morale of military forces he commands is extremely high.

    Torture Techniques
    Rank: C+
While Archer was not the greatest torturer in the world, nor was he known for torturing his enemies like other servants he does have one story of using a specific torture technique. Not powerful enough to become a Noble Phantasm but a deadly procedure that strikes fear into all that hear of it, the Bloody Eagle. The process involves cutting away the flesh of the targets back and then pulling back their ribs one by one careful not to harm any internal organs giving the appearance of bloody eagle wings protruding from their back. This technique also gives Ivar extra damage against those with the trait ‘King Slayer’.

    Noble Phantasm(s):
    Spoiler:
    Sibilja Bain
First Arrow Pierces, the Second Crushes

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: B
    Range: 50-100
    Max Targets: 1

The technique that Archer used to defeat the magic cow Sibija which was decimating his forces. The magical cow Sibija was known to be almost invincible as its very presence brought unholy terror to all who gazed upon it preventing them from even attacking the cow and if they were not frozen they would be alone facing a magical super cow.

Archer a wise king and shrewd tactician came up with a solution to this problem. He had his men create a giant bow from two tress able to fire an arrow from far outside Sibija’s aura of terror. This bow was so large it should have been impossible to be fired by a mortal but Archer drew it with no difficulty and shot the beast right in the eye. Now that the beast had been blinded it was time for the second part of his plan. He had his men who carried him around on a shield to throw him high into the air and when he came down he aimed right at the cow’s neck to snap it like a twig.

As a Noble Phantasm this process is replicated on Archer’s opponent. From outside the target’s field of vision he will fire an arrow with the concept of ‘blinding’ requiring an agility or luck check to avoid being hit in the eye and then a second luck check to prevent themselves from being blinded through other means which could be anything from blood from the arrow’s wound to dirt being kicked up from the action of dodging. After the first arrow is shot Archer launches himself into the air as the second arrow and shoots himself at his opponent from above at terminal velocity.

Sibilja Bain can also be used as an ordinary bow without calling out its true name. The sheer size of it means that each of the arrows have enough force to match high ranking archers like Arjuna or Atlante but at the cost of being unable to shoot several arrows in quick succession.

    Lore:
    Spoiler:

After the death of the greatest knight Sigurd his daughter Aslaug was in danger of being executed by her parents political enemies so her grandfather Heimer ran off to hide her. He was traveling as an inconspicuous bard when a pair of greedy farmers killed him suspecting he was hiding gold. The pair found not gold but rather baby Aslaug that Heimer has hidden away for safety. The noble was then raised by the couple in despite poverty and abused. Eventually though she caught the eye of king Ragnar Lothbrok who courted her and they got married.

Aslaug gave Ragnar a warning saying that he had to wait three days before consummating the marriage or else the resulting child would be cursed. Ragnar refused.

Ivar was born with weak leg bones gaining his nickname, the boneless, and was unable to walk for the entirety of his life. This did not stop Ivar though and he became known as the wisest and leader among his brothers, including the inheritor of Sigurd’s great magical energy Sigurd Snake in the Eye. Life was good for Ivar with he and his brothers fighting for his father and gaining more land and soldiers each day. However Ragnar soon grew jealous of his sons’ accomplishments and sought to go out in one last blaze of glory that would forever immortalize him as greater than his offspring, he would conquer England with only two ships worth of warriors.

Within days Ragnar was caught by king Ælla and killed.

While most of his sons were ready to march their considerable forces to King Ælla’s doorstep Ivar saw an opportunity to play a long con, he went to Ælla and said that all would be forgiving if a wergild, a blood price, was payed. All Ivar wanted was enough land in England that he could cover with an ox hide. Ælla was amused by this and agreed and that was when Ivar’s plan went into action.

He cut an ox’s hide into a single strip that could cover the length of a city thereby giving him control of that city. Ælla found the event hilarious and immediately had Ivar become a member of his court granting him a high rank. For years Ivar was Ælla’s most trusted advisor and became indispensable to the king and close allies to the other lord’s of the area. He was known for being Ælla’s right hand man in many ways.

Then he wrote the letter. A letter to his brothers telling them that it was time for them to finally invade England. His brother’s troops marched to Ivar’s new home and Ælla not wanting a war told Ivar to speak with his brothers and get them to turn around. Ivar promised he would to his best to serve his new king.

Ivar went to his brothers and told them to continue the attack no matter what then returned to Ælla saying that he could not stop his brothers and could not fight against them so he and his army would be staying behind as Ælla’s troops marched forward. It was the moment that Ælla’s army left sight that Ivar’s plan sprung into action. Ivar led his own troops and those of the other lords of the area in a sneak attack to Ælla’s rear completely destroying the mans army.

Ælla was captured and the brother’s performed their bloody revenge by carving the bloody eagle on his back giving him a long cruel death. Ivar claimed Ælla’s land for himself becoming the new king of England and protecting it from people like himself until his death.

    Personality:
    Spoiler:

Ivar has only one real desire, being the smartest person in the room. As long as he can show his superiority to those around him he is happy. Most would assume that this behavior comes from an inferiority complex but in actuality it is just a rotten sort of personality that is inherent to the soul. No matter how he is raised or what his circumstances are he will want to both be the best and have everybody know it.

He cares deeply for his brothers and mother as the most important thing in his life but thinks of his father as a fool. He is embarrassed by him going off to England on his own half cocked and would have just let it go if his brother’s hadn’t been so dead set on getting revenge.

He will serve his master well as long as they do not consider themselves smarter than Ivar, in which case he will become unruly and constantly try to prove his superiority making the same mistake his father did. His wish on the grail is a simple one, to incarnate in the real world alongside his brothers and take it over. Unlike a certain king of conquerers he does not see war as the only way to do so and will attempt world domination through politics or economics if those are the ‘more clever’ ways of doing it.

Pissing Ivar off is the most dangerous thing you could do though, as he is not afraid of performing a long con. He will make himself your best friend before betraying you in the bloodiest and cruelest way possible just to stroke his own ego.

    Bond:
    Spoiler:

    When Summoned:
“Servant Archer Ivar. Don’t worry with me around you’re sure to come out on top.”

    If you have summoned Artoria:
“Another great king of England huh? She may be more famous but I’m definitely the better king!”

If you have summoned Eric Bloodaxe the Bloodaxe king:
“Ugh! That guy? He’s an embarrassment to vikings everywhere. Killing your family when that’s what’s most important.”

    If you have summoned Sigurd:
“Gramps!? Huh, I never expected to ever meet the greatest knight. Snake would love this.

    When asked about the Grail:
What I want the grail for? Hmm, let’s just say there’s a lot more me and my brothers need to do.”

    About his Likes:
“Shouldn’t it be obvious? Being the best.”

    About his Dislikes:
“Idiots who go off half cocked. There’s nothing worse than somebody who isn’t prepared.”

    Bond 1:
“Just sit back and let me do all the thinking. It’s definitely better that way.”

    Bond 2:
“Fuck! Stop getting in my way during combat you worthless master. Let me do things my way or you’re just going to get hurt.”

    Bond 3:
“Fine I’ll admit that you aren’t completely useless as a commander.”

    Bond 4:
“How about this, on our next mission you can pick the strategy, but you have to clear it with me first!”

    Bond 5:
“Hehehe. Never thought I’d ever find an equal and I still haven’t but you come pretty close.”

    Bond CE
    The Bloody Eagle
I really didn’t want to do this part. I mean we already humiliated the guy and proved who the better king was after all. But my brother’s can honestly be a little bloodthirsty at times. All that aside the eagle is a pretty interesting way of torturing somebody. If you do it correctly you an even keep the target alive until way after you’re done. It takes a truly talented man to do that though so of course I had to be the one to wield the knife.

Creator Notes: So the second of my Holy Grail War set. This sheet has actually been done for a while I just hadn't had time to put on some finishing touches. This is my first servant in a while I tried to make unlikeable to a degree although I think most of it came off in the story than the personality section.

In case it wasn't completely obvious he gets around in a wheelchair most of the time and even does some fighting with it but when things get serious he gets on his horse. I've wanted to make a Sigurd Snake in the Eye sheet but King of Padoru made such a good one I keep on accidentally copying it when I start trying to make it so here's his big brother Ivar.

Ivar: Pretty cool sheet all around. I got a kick out of the Johnny Joestar FC. Not a fan of yet another Skill with no listed effect in his Boneless Skill though. Based on the flavor-text something akin to Unyielding Will could work, embodying his drive to never give up despite his condition. Also Strength at the level of Heracles feels like a bit much for Ivar. Given his giant bow, I think just A should be enough.

I mean there are a ton of skills that have descriptions that don't say what they do Admonishment of the King of Knights, Sunflower Sparkle, or Meanwhile. As for the strength I guess it can be seen as a little high but parameter ranks have always been weird with how they scale. Like the A+ range is around the hunfred mark but Herc could be a 120 while Ivar is an 80.

True that GO introduced a lot of Skills with no lore effects, but I've never liked that either. In fact, annoyingly hero-specific Skills with no description of what they actually do in lore terms is one of the things that annoy me most about GO's approach to Servant-crafting. It's definitely not something I'd advise emulating in fanmade sheets.

Plus, Skills in GO can always be fleshed out later on in mats and the like, whereas those in fanmade sheets pretty much have to stand alone.

I guess that just something we disagree on fundamentally. I like those more abstract and hero specific skills a ton. Keeps the servants unique and from just being cookie cutter things transplanted from a spreadsheet in my opinion. Oh well.

Pretty good to have ended up in the same ballpark with the personal skills.
Seems the main difference is your Ivar's personality focuses on the individual while mine focuses on the overall story.

    Kill
“Beep, beep, beep” Assassin felt unease in him as he heart the indecent ticking of the heart monitor.
`Just like his after Jack Ruby shot him.
Just like his friends in the hospital after the Bay of Pigs
    Just like -

No! He couldn’t fall into those memories. Assassin shifted into the form of Lee Harvey Oswald, he had chosen him to interact with the hospital staff as Lee’s voices tended to be the quietest. He focused on his master. Sitting there in her hospital bed. “Master, how are the treatments going? I understand that they plan on operating soon.”

Jan coughed and gave a smile. “I feel much better. They say if my fever goes down in the next few weeks they’ll open me up, and if that goes well I could even go outside.”

Assassin smiled. “It will go well, I promise. You’ll love the hospital’s gardens too. It’s spring time and the cherry blossoms are blooming.”

“And I expect you to be there to Assassin. No unnecessary risks, get the servants off guard and one bullet to the head. Even the most power servant shouldn’t be able to withstand that.”

Attack the servants, only Jan would send Assassin to kill the servants not the masters and then tell him to be careful. She reminded

    him of his wife
    her of her husband
    them of their daughter
    him of his commanding officer

“I’ll be careful I promise. They won’t even see me coming.”

    Break

Things would be perfect, if Rider hadn’t seen those first bullets. Now he had to escape and he most likely wouldn’t be able to go after Rider’s Master again. There were few other master’s that would be willing to just walk around the town so brazenly. Archer’s master went with him on those damn political speeches but his driver seemed to have eyes on the back of his head and kept all possible assassination routes guarded enough that it would give Archer enough time to react to a bullet.

Berserker’s refused to leave her little cave and he had seen Lancer and Saber fight, if he didn’t get those masters far away from their servants they would be able to stop his bullets no matter how unaware they were.
It was so much easier in the army
Never had to worry about that when pops took me hunting
The aliens never said anything like this would happen

Assassin shook his head clear. If the alien theories were coming out he knew he was really distracted. Where was he? Yes assassinating enemy masters.

That was why he was currently lugging his sniper disassembled in a guitar case and taking a ride to the top floor of an office building. He had to go after Caster. He had hoped somebody else would take him out but with no kills and the seeing no sign of heating up anytime soon he had to do something.

Caster was good though, his bounded field encompassed almost a three mile radius and within it Assassin was unable to go into spiritual form, summon any of his weapons, access his Conspiracy skill to shape shift, and his Presence Concealment was lowered to C rank. So he had to get into range with his weapon already materialized for a mile stuck in the shape of Jack Ruby and manage to kill Caster’s master without anything going wrong.

Now he was on a rooftop waiting. He’d had payed off some local street toughs to spy for him, give him information on the comings and goings of that rich English woman and her Korean boyfriend who had moved over a month ago. Now he knew exactly how to kill Caster’s master. They didn’t have many regular patterns, mostly just Caster patrolling the area at random and getting takeout to bring back to his master, but Friday was date night. He didn’t know if it was some sort of cover or if they had actually fallen in love but every Friday they went to a small dinner a few blocks from their base and ate dinner. Apparently they seemed disgustingly domestic always sitting at the same table every night.

He had to pray that they hadn’t changed their routine tonight. He didn’t know if they had left their base, or if they had sat down at their table. All he knew was that they usually left around 8:00, it was a five minute walk, and they took about an hour and a half to eat and pay. It was currently 8:30, he couldn’t put it off any longer, they were definitely sitting in their booth now. He looked as his assembled sniper rifle. The moment he picked that up he had five seconds before his weakened Presence Concealment alerted Caster to his presence. He could do this, he could do this, he could-

He grabbed his gun and fired before he could even register that it was indeed Caster and his master in the booth. The bullet seemed to move in slow motion through the scope, Assassin prayed it hit its mark. In the bounded field his Noble Phantasms were sealed, if he missed he was completely at the mercy of Caster.

Caster raised his eyes and looked towards Assassin for a moment before throwing the table between him and his master aside, leaping in front of her, and erecting a wall of wind to protect them.

The bullet hit the asphalt underneath the dinner and tunneled through. Even if he couldn’t use his Noble Phantasm his bullets still belonged to a servant, they went right through the rock and entered the sewers. There several street thugs had dragged chemical barrels of his exact specifications to the exact spot. It was tragic what people would do for money.

It took some time for the smoke from he explosion to clear out but there he saw that his mission was complete. Caster was standing there unscratched but the same could not be said for the master. He could only see the upper half of the body Caster was holding in his arms but he knew it didn’t matter where the rest of her was. He scanned the hole in the dinner for other casualties. He had payed the street thugs to occupy the tables surrounding the targets, leave a mess, and then leave before the targets got there to prevent people sitting at the tables but he couldn’t be sure either the waitstaff or some other unlucky person had wandered into his trap.

He scanned and found no other bodies. Assassin sighed. Right now his first kill had been his only kill. Now Caster was starting to move, Assassin couldn’t hear it but he assumed that he was currently letting out a cry of anger. Caster would most likely be getting up soon for his revenge and Assassin couldn’t escape fast enough for Caster to exhaust his leftover magical energy; so Assassin had to force him to expend it. He fired, then he fired again each shot reflected by a wind barrier. Caster was now riding the winds to fly towards Assassin but the bullets didn’t stop. Each shot wasn’t enough to even come close to breaking the barrier but they did drain his magic bit by bit, which coupled with the lack of mana supply and the energy spent flying, meant that Caster was already half dematerialized before he had reached Assassin. He tried to let out a blast of wind but Assassin dodged it and fired two more bullets which didn’t hit any barrier and buried themselves in Caster’s brain.

With the death of its creator the bounded field dissipated and Assassin returned to spiritual form. His first kills, they felt…wrong. The face on Caster when he died, it was like, like his
    parents
    siblings
    best friend
    squad mates
    John

He couldn’t stay here. He had to get back to Jan, tell her that he had killed Caster and his master had gotten on a boat back to England. He wondered if the doctors could let him bring in some sweets.

The ability to conceal ones presence as a servant. As someone represents the very idea of having never been caught he has the highest rank. Even when attacking one’s presence is equivalent to Presence Concealment Rank A.

    Personal Skills:
    Spoiler:

    Conspiracy
    Rank: EX
A skill denoting one’s status not as a Heroic Spirit but rather the manifestation of a conspiracy theory. With it Assassin can take the form of anyone that can be considered part of a JFK assassination theory. Due to him being the most likely suspect for the shooting he takes the form of Lee Harvey Oswald for interacting with his master. It can be seen as a more specified form of the skill Thousand Faces lacking the mystery to truly become anything but each form contains more abilities.

    Noble Phantasm(s):
    Spoiler:

    Single Bullet Theory
    The Bullet Curved

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: C
    Range: 1-100
    Max Targets: 1

The Noble Phantasm based on the idea that a single bullet had been fired to kill president John F. Kennedy and then wounded Governor Connally .There are a number of reasons that this theory has been disproven, the number of shots heard, the presence of multiple spent cartridges at the sight of shooting, and the fact the bullet would have to change directions mid air for it to have hit both of them.

However there are still people who believed and believe in the Single Bullet Theory. As the very nature of Assassin is that he becomes what is believed he becomes can shoot the ‘bullet that would have had to curve to hit both targets’ allowing him to control the trajectory of his bullets at will.

    Two Shooter Theory
    He Had Help

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: C
    Range: 1-100
    Max Targets: 1

The Noble Phantasm based on the idea that there was more than one gunmen there to kill John F. Kennedy. These theories claim that a fourth shot was fired in addition to the three that came from the Texas School Book Depository. The most common idea for where the shot came from is the Grassy Knoll, a small plot of land near where Kennedy was shot.

Due to the idea that ‘the bullets came from two places’ Assassin can generate a second bullet to strike his target from a different direction that the first bullet came from. Both of Assassin’s Noble Phantasms require little to no energy to activate allowing Assassin to fire them off continuously, but he can only activate one at a time unable to both curve the bullet and generate the second shot.

    Lore:
    Spoiler:

On November 22 1963 president John F Kennedy was killed by an assassin in Dallas Texas. At the time suspect Lee Harvey Oswald, who was arrested less than an hour after the assassination for shooting a cop, had been assumed by all to be the killer but was killed in police custody by nightclub owner Jack Ruby who claimed he wanted to save Jackie Kennedy the grief of having to go to trial.

But was Oswald the real killer? He claimed he was a patsy and being set up. If he was being set up who would have done it, the government? Why did Jack Ruby really kill him? Did he really care for the grieving first lady or was it perhaps the mob connects some said he had, or maybe he had been hired to keep Oswald from speaking about the conspiracy.

If Oswald didn’t kill Kennedy who did, was it Badge Man the person seen on a single photo on the Grassy Knoll. Was Umbrella Man, someone who opened up an umbrella despite it not being raining, signaling the sniper; or maybe he shot a poisoned dart to paralyze Kennedy and make him an easier target for the shooter. Was it the Russians, the Cubans, aliens, the United States of America?

Or was it perhaps a single mentally unstable ex marine who had spent years in Russia after defecting before returning home. Maybe these beliefs in complicated conspiracies and trying to find out the identity of Badge Man or why Jack Ruby shot Oswald are just ways for humanity to try and bring reason to a tragic event.

Whatever it is though people will never stop searching for an answer, that is just what we do.

    Personality:
    Spoiler:

Assassin is not truly a person, more along the line of Nursery Rhyme or Berserker Jack the Ripper he's a manifestation of an idea about an event. Even more unlike regular conceptual servants he does not have teasing letters to the Scotland Yard or the general tropes of the genre to fall back on for a personality. Instead Assassin has the probable personalities and motivations of dozens rattling in his head to come to the surface. They will often crop up whenever a person or object triggers a probable memory of one of the possible conspirators. Often times this will happen during an assassination so Assassin doubles down to keep them suppressed then.

Ironically enough the act of suppressing these personalities to not interfere with being an assassin has created a personality for himself. Assassin is almost a completely innocent being rejecting the idea that he performed any of the actions associated with the conspiracy. As a result he is extremely susceptible to outside influences and almost all of his actual personality and desires becomes dependent on his master but he will always be introspective about his existence.

    Bond:
    Spoiler:

    On Summoning:
    “Assassin. True Name… something.”

If you have Summoned Nursery Rhyme:
“She’s like me. An existence dependent on the influence of others. I wonder will I ever find an Alice?”

If you have Summoned Jing Ke:
“She may be the opposite of myself. An assassin who truly believes in her cause, has her own ideals, failed to kill her target, yet is still remembered by all for it. I am not even close to being such an existence."

    About the Holy Grail:
“The Holy Grail? What could I wish for? Maybe if I truly had to make a decision it would be… that the assassination failed.”

    About their Likes:
“Myself, I know that this answer is odd but I enjoy being myself.”

    About their Dislikes:
“Those that live within me. They already had their chance to live, why can’t they just leave me alone.”

    Bond 1:
“There is no need to truly talk to me, I mean I’m nothing but false existence so it is like getting close to an imaginary friend.”

    Bond 2:
“You are a good master. Most of the things inside me agree. That’s good because if I had to suppress all of them all the time it would be far to difficult to fulfill your wishes.”

    Bond 3:
“My favorite food? I don’t know if I have never actually eaten before. Huh? Where are you dragging me?”

    Bond 4:
“Do you want to know the truth? About which of the things inside of me were involved with the actual assassination? I wish I knew myself.”

    Bond 5:
“I am me, you are you. That is something I can see now, thanks to you.”

    Bond CE
    The Grassy Knoll
A nice photo right? It looks like it could be a comfortable place to maybe take a nap on a sunny day, or perhaps just a small landmark to meet someone for a date. Yes it is a quant little place in a nice city. However something bad may have happened there. If you’re there you might be able to say you stood where an assassin stood. It is a very complicated space with a long history. I’d love to visit it someday.

Creator Notes: Okay yes the story is very Rider from Fate Prototype but I didn’t do it on purpose and didn’t realize it until I was really attached to the story. I was orginally going ot have it end with the master dying off screen and Assassin fading away after killing caster and his master but that felt too mean. What do you guys think about that?

Also this is how assassins should be utilized in Holy Grail Wars, as assassins. I understand that because Assassin is the protagonist of his short story he couldn’t lose but I can’t really remember when there was an actual assassination attempt in a holy grail war. I mean 100 Faced Hassan just confronted the king’s feast if I recall correctly. Jack is probably the most assassiny of the assassins and she’s just a serial killer in Apocrypha.

Onto Assassin himself he may have EX presence concealment but unfortunately his weapon of choice doesn’t work well with it. His bullets don’t have his same concealment so even though they’re faster than a regular gun servants can still see them and dodge out of the way. And while they still can’t find him they can follow the bullets back to their source and his sniping works best when he is in one place. If he grabbed a knife he would probably be more effective just stabbing the enemy masters and never being seen.

    Class Skills

Magic Resistance - Rank A: Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether.
Cancel spells of A-Rank or below, no matter what High-Thaumaturgy it is. Rider is an existence untouchable by modern mages.

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - Rank EX: A specialized version of the Riding Skill, unique to certain Heroic Spirits that are closer to manifested concepts rather than heroes, anti-heroes or monsters. The vessel that carries them is the human psyche, though each user can also employ tangible mounts in their own way.
Rider is able to “ride” money and other objects of value. Through their exchange, “his” influence can spread.

    Personal Skills

Black Rule - Rank EX: The antithesis of the Skill Golden Rule. Where it is a Skill measuring wealth and guaranteeing plentiness, Black Rule denies the value of wealth and robs others of their resources.
The ‘value’ of all resources, from money to magical energy, is reduced by 90% in Rider’s immediate presence. As the distance from “him” increases, the effect is lessened. However, such is “his” power that even being in the same country amounts to a small degree of reduction. In addition, the effects of Skills and Noble Phantasms guaranteeing plenty are reduced or suspended, depending on distance and the targeted effect’s quality. However, Rider is capable of excluding select targets from the Skill’s effects.

Bringer of Famine - Rank A+: A unique Personal Skill marking the user as a cause of famine. Whether through the destruction of produce or spoiling of food, vital resources are denied to those targeted by the user. Also allows for the conjuration of minor natural disasters, sudden changes in weather and swarms of vermin, all common vehicles and causes of famine.
In addition to being capable of using various vermin as quasi-familiars, Rider is capable of passively removing resources from his surroundings. Just as with Black Rule, everything in “his” surroundings is indiscriminately targeted, though Rider is capable of excluding targets from Bringer of Famine’s effects. In the case of Masters and Servants, both suffer a constant loss in magical energy, as their reserves are linked by their contract.

    Noble Phantasms
    The Third Rider
    Come and See

    Anti-Humanity, Rank A+
A passive Noble Phantasm, Come and See takes effect immediately upon Rider’s manifestation. It takes the form of a pair of scales, forming the only visible part of Rider’s manifested body. At will, the scales can be made to represent the ‘value’ of things a target has recently lost or still possesses, weighing their existence on the scale. Should the scale marking what resources the target still holds be emptied, the target will suffer Come and See’s true effects.
Though often known as Famine, Rider’s true essence is a force of oppression, with a lack of food simply serving as a means. Upon loss of all available resources, a target is fully subverted to Rider’s cause. Their mentality is not infringed on and they remain themselves, but targets affected act in Rider’s (or “his” Master’s) interests. Though seeming to require nothing in the way of sustenance, the targets of Come and See will literally work themselves to death, and eventually expire.

    Description
    Likes: Nothing in particular
    Dislikes: Nothing in particular
    Talents: Finance
    Natural Enemy: Spartacus

Rider’s true identity is the Black Rider, though he has been known by other names, such as Famine or Oppression.

Like his fellow Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the Black Rider has little in terms of personality. Despite a lack of understanding of human emotions, “he” can be considered to have the slightest glimmer of a ‘self’ due to “his” close relation to the human condition. “He” still fully lacks internal thoughts and emotions, but “his” responses give the implication of a cunning and manipulative mind behind them. The sound of “his” words seem like the clinking of metal coinage.
Though “he” hides “his” true body, it is possible that the Black Rider carries the shape of a human body rather than a shapeless form like his fellow Horseman.

    Lore
"When He opened the third seal,
I heard the third living creature say,
    'Come and see.'
    And I looked, and behold,
a black horse, and he who sat on it
had a pair of scales in his hand.
    And I heard a voice
in the midst of the four living creatures saying,
'A quart of wheat for a denarius,
    and three quarts of barley for a denarius;
and do not harm the oil and the wine.
    '"

The Black Rider is one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in the Book of Revelation, responsible for the killing of a quarter of the world’s population prior to the Final Judgment. “He” is sometimes understood as ‘famine’ or as ‘oppression’, with either oftentimes brought on humanity by itself.
A primary means of repression throughout history has been economic in nature. If a person or a group can be kept at the subsistence level—that is, financially able to afford only the bare necessities of life—he or it can be controlled. For instance, a man who must work from sunup to sundown to make enough to feed himself and his family does not have time to further his education, start a business, travel to see how others live, or collude with neighbors to rebel against his rulers. Essentially, such a person is a slave, a serf, a pauper, and those in authority have little trouble holding his nose to the grindstone day after day after day. Either he plods on, or he and his dependents starve.
Outside of a complete lack of food, killing the weak through malnourishment, there is another kind of famine, not as severe but ultimately just as calamitous. It is the famine of protracted undernourishment, one that weakens the body, making it sickly and short-lived, and crushes the spirit, causing hopelessness and apathy. No matter if it is the result of war, oppression, drought, or flooding, famine is a terrible scourge which has claimed millions of lives over the centuries. This is the work of the third horseman, the rider of the black horse.

    Notes
Since Famine seems to be the least popular among the Horsemen (with most of the Horsemen sheets here being Death or War), I tried to make a sheet. Rather than making a beatstick, I figured I'd try to emulate how the Pale Rider in Strange Fake seems to be like.
Not sure how well I succeeded. The Black Rider kinda seems like "he" would be a nightmare in a regular Grail War.

In hindsight, I probably should've been more descriptive about the oppress-y, faminelike nature of the Black Rider's enslavement NP.

    Feedback and comments welcome.

That's no Servant, that's just a midboss Jojo Stand.

I kid, but Black Rider looks like he can work remarkably well as either. The idea that famine is tied to economic oppression is very neat, but I'm also guilty of being one of those people that pays little attention to Famine, so I wouldn't know one way or the other.
I almost wish "he" didn't have a personality at all, and the scales had to be manipulated manually by the Master, but I can see why you gave him the bare minimum like Pale Rider.

Most of the thoughtwork on famine being tied to oppression was already done, I just started doing research due to wondering why scales would be understood as a symbol of famine (partly spurred on by the earlier discussion in this thread about death and pestilence).
Even though there is a personality there, "he" still acts as something basically manipulated manually by the Master. The Black Rider can just answer questions too, and explain functions.

Dang it, Shiki-pon, you stole one of my ideas.

Well, I do like what you've done with it, regardless

Couldn't help but think of this in response to that.

Also, since I'm once again faced with one of those dealies where I have a bunch of Servant sheets just about complete but can't decide which to start on, if anyone would particularly care to see a sheet for one of the following figures next and thus break up the pile a little, I'd be thankful:
    - Blasco de Garay
    - La Bête du Gévaudan
    - Mfumu Mpashi
    - Göngu-Hrólfr
    - Joseph Montferrand
    - Li Tieguai
    - Lan Caihe
    - Loki
    - Sekhmet
    - Helen of Troy
    - Adrastus

And yeah go ahead with the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It's a shared Skill, and the writing would go to waste if nobody else used at least parts of them. ... That sounded a bit arrogant.

I vote for Göngu-Hrólfr for the simple basis that the Scandinavian Servants that aren't Odin/Thor/Loki etc etc need some love. That and I'd be interested in seeing how you handle him.

Wow black Rider is interesting. I have no idea how you could even fight that. You’d definitely need to beat “him” in one go since the longer “he’s” around the more likely it is to be affected by come and see. Maybe a super specialized hero like Tawara who seems like a slightly better natural enemy’s since Spartacus just fights oppression through force which can’t really beat famine(unless there’s an interesting way his skills interact) while Tawara will sort of remove the cause and decrease giving to all. Other than that probably just kill the master.

Grr...have a Berserker William Buckland sheet 70% complete, but after referencing pinetree's amazing Sir Owen contest entry and just finding out that Riyo Lancer is Mary Anning, I'm second guessing the choices I've made for a "dinosaur Servant". Considering putting it out anyway as the weird fringe idea that's already overtaken the sheet, and maybe doing Georges Cuvier as a more "serious" paleontologist, but I'm stuck.
