Random thought, would it be possible that Herc being moved into a different class might also lower God Hand's power since he would not need to rely on just that ability any longer? (Kinda like adjusting his skill set by getting Nine Lives but lowering God Hands potency as an Archer.)
Who knows, but he's canon strongest as an Archer so it probably doesn't matter. I doubt the Grail does any "compensating" really.

I mean, just throwing it out there, but if you look at some of the stuff Nasu has said in juuuust the right way, then there might actually be implications that whether or not he has God Hand at all depends on the class he's summoned as.
Is this the stuff about (and please forgive me for only having a vague memory of it) 'Herakles only has the weird talons on his arms as Berserker'; 'The weird talons and his skin are symptoms of God Hand' -> 'If he's not Berserker he doesn't get God Hand'?
