If you'll write something even you won't normally do, then people will see you as reliable in that respect. If you don't, then people know not to make certain requests of you, or may be unwilling to put time and effort into a request you made knowing that you might not reciprocate under certain conditions. Sure if you just wanna throw up a request I don't see why not, just beware that anyone can take it and in turn suggest that you write whatever they feel like. (All the more fun I suppose.)
