As far as I recall it is more like the other channel became more active and people started to set up shop there instead.

As far as I recall, what happened was that after old notes died, #notes started being used for most of the RPs to be discussed. Thus, #notes became the little hangout for the RP forumites. However, what later happened was that the RP section became a focal point for a lot of DRAMA, and that started attracting more people, mods included when they realized a lot of shit went on in #notes that was directly influencing the stablity of the forum. By his part, Neir started heavily promoting the channel, spreading the word of #notes everywhere. Eventually Kyte and other users joined, and #notes more or less stopped being only about RPs. One thing, though, most of the people in #notes WERE involved in the RP section at some point, at least until #regalia was made.

I stopped browsing #notes after Neir had Elyrin remove my OP (even though I was the GM for the titular RP that started the channel ;-;), but that wasn't the only reason. Most of my RP forum friends had moved on to #regalia because they couldn't stand some of the discussions that blew up in #notes (There was a time when Mike was there and the chatroom got practically acid). #regalia then slowly became the new hangout for RPs with the creation of Onigokko, which needed its own IRC and so the Regalia players who were also in Oni invited the people to the chat.

Neir I still mad at you, but I'll forgive you for going with the masses anyway.

Man, I just can't get Buster's logic here; momma raised me to do the right thing no matter what, and that includes telling the proper authorities what I know if it stops people from doing the wrong thing. I mean, this was taught when I was in grade school; along with 'don't lie, period'. Which, in this case, the whole 'hiding the truth' also falls under.

You see someone doing something wrong or planning to do something wrong; you stop it. Nuff said; go to the people in charge and tell them what's up. Like I said, I learned this in grade school; I remember seeing a kid having something that was missing from the classroom the day before, a stapler or something stupid like that. So, when I got to class, I told the teacher what I saw and they took the little punk aside and discovered what he did. That's all the mods are asking for here; if you see proof of someone doing something wrong and/or harmful to the forum, you should inform the moderation staff so they can handle the issue.
