I should make it clear that I don't find Mydei's design repulsive or anything. Like I don't think the developers are evil for doing a little bit of ctrl + c ctrl + v on a franchise they like. Nasu and Takeuchi already do that all the time, they literally did that with Tower of Druaga to create Gilgamesh in the first place. I don't really care for him and won't roll for him but that would've been the case regardless of the context he exists in. It's just that I'm already seeing people have inane arguments about this online (as per usual for miHoYo fans) and his design likely would've been better received online if he had come out like a year ago.

Yeah, I don't hate the design either even if I can't not see Proto Gil in it. I mean, Proto Gil is one of my fave Gil's designs anyway. My biggest gripe honestly is that he's another imaginary man and yet I'm gonna pull for him either way just crossing my fingers his kit has something unique on it.

For Amphoreus in particular, the rumored writer - Fanchuan - is basically what if you allow Sakurai to study philosophy and let her cook with Sanda, and in this case the dude is also a huge fan of Greek myth.

Good when using with supports who can abuse it. They are: Tingyun, Hanya, Asta, Sparkle, Bronya, Harmony MC, Ruan Mei.
Not full 8 patches per se, but rather the story will be spread out a bit more evenly compare to other arcs where the climax is usually reached by the end of x.2, due to larger amount of contents. Yeah not sure if I'm really that excited for 8 patches of epic HI3 references.
The references by far stop at character resemblance or alternate versions at best, the 3.0 stream and even the Penacony ones made it very clear that it's the type of references that don't require you to know anything beforehand, the "if you know you know" kind.
Only cringe HI3rd stans would tell you that it is required. These ppl did it once with Acheron (who is just alt universe Raiden Mei), now it will be a lot more cancer when they claim HSR-only need to know how peak the HI3rd Flamechasers are. It's the same as FSN boomers telling every new Fate fans to play the VN whenever possible, ignore them.

From the look of it, Castorice is probably not THE girlfriend but will be who the TB bond with majority of the story like Acheron. Cyrene on the OTOH has big Firefly flag.
